Stopped in for a haircut all the way from Michigan. Great barbers, old school practice, nice and clean shop, great conversation. Definitely recommend.

I had an extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience at this establishment, which is a shame, as it was my favorite place to get a haircut in the area. I went to the Mens Room in Hamburg with my brother on Saturday, September 18, 2021, to get a quick haircut around 3:05pm. When we arrived, the woman employee behind the counter sighed at the computer, which wasnt a great start. We were greeted by an extremely friendly dog, which she consistently yelled at since the dog was crying. We sat down in the waiting area as there were two individuals receiving haircuts before us. The woman continued to complain out loud about how people always come in to get haircuts right before close. She had mentioned that she is not getting out after 4:00pm again. She then walked away from behind the counter and asked me to lock the door, so that no other customers could walk in after us. At this point, we felt bad for coming in to get a haircut, as she created an extremely unwelcoming environment. Due to this unfortunate situation, I would not recommend going here and we wont be back, which again, is a shame.

My son just left the barber shop with the worst haircut he has ever had! First off, the barber rolled his eyes as we entered because it was near closing time (but still 20-25 minutes before). He wears his hair with a hard part as a “swoop” over to the side. He cut into the swoop wayyy too far and literally left chunks of hair. The blending is horrible and you can see the blade marks on his head. I definitely do not recommend this place. Very angry mama here!

Lori and Gabby are the only two that I trust to cut my hair. They both do a fantastic job and I’ll continue to use them until I run out of hair to cut. Best in the business right here.

Mostly positive experiences besides today. Called 20 minutes ahead to see if walk ins were available. She says “of course, honey”. When I arrive there were 2 gentlemen ahead of me on a sign in sheet they instructed me to fill out. After I sat in the waiting room for 10 minutes a 6 person wedding party had walked in and signed in after me. After the 2 gentlemen in front of me received their hair cut they started cutting the hair of the wedding party. After the second member to the party got theirs done I asked why I wasn’t called yet, that I’ve been there for an hour and that they all walked in after me. The lady said “you’ll have to wait until I’m done with the wedding party”. -cliff notes— called ahead,waited an hour, skipped in line, no hairs cut, owner didn’t care, . First review I’ve ever written; deservingly

Best barber shop in WNY

I desperately needed a haircut for my two boys because we were having family pictures the next day. I booked them at a very reputable barbershop in Buffalo, in hopes that they would walk out with amazing haircuts...well that certainly was not the case. Let’s just say that these two boys were jacked up!!! They needed serious fixing! We have driven by the Men’s Room for years but never thought to look them up. We googled barbers in the area and they had great reviews so we arrived early in hopes to get in right away because we had family photos that day. We were second in line and were immediately seen by a barber. I told her our tale and while doing so a very experienced and talented master barber by the name of Lori stopped over. She took both boys and corrected some of the worst haircuts they had ever seen. Needless to say...we will never leave. If you need a talented barber stop into the Men’s Room, they will take great care of you! THANK YOU LORI, you are a lifesaver!!!

I had an outstanding experience. Called first thing in the morning and was told to come right down. I was greeted promptly at the door by the owner and another young lady. Both were extremely friendly and welcoming. She got me in the chair and asked what I wanted done, I showed her a picture and next thing I know Im done. Very experienced and knowledgeable. Gentle hands and kept the conversation going. I look forward to see the changes she was talking about and will certainly be back.

I go to the Mens Room to see Kristina. She does an amazing job on my sons hair, and he is very particular about his hair. My daughter and I recently got bangs cut at another location. We usually have very long hair that was all one length, so that was a big step for us. It didnt turn out great at the other place. We went to Kristina to fix our side bangs, and now we feel so much better about our hair. We will go Kristina at The Mens Room every time we need a cut! Her and the other young ladies at The Mens Room are friendly and receptive. Kristina is good with both mens and womens hair.

What started out as a nightmare, ended perfectly. Unfortunately because of the crazy Buffalo weather, my appointment with my regular barber had to be rescheduled (another reason to hate snow). I should also mention that I had an important interview scheduled for the following Monday. My hair gives me a sense of confidence and thats exactly what any guy needs when walking into an interview situation. In a moment of panic, I remembered seeing Instagram posts of some pretty clean looking haircuts coming from The Mens Room. I called them up and within 20 minutes I was giving Kristina my long list of specifications on how I like my hair to be cut. (I should mention, if it is not already obvious, that Im a guy who is very particular about every detail of my look). Needless to say, Kristina went above and beyond my hopes and expectations and sent me on my way with confidence and a fresh cut. Her attention to detail was stellar! Her positive and kind attitude made every second of my experience an excellent one. All of the staff was kind, for that matter. Anyways, If youre a guy who takes pride in putting your best foot forward, then I strongly recommend you visit The Mens Room. I know I will be seeing them again soon! Excellent and comprehensive service at a price that is well worth the quality!

Ive been coming here for a few years now. At first out of necessity, as I didnt have a vehicle at the time, and my barber Ive been going to for years was in Niagara falls. I always said Id go back to my old barber once I got a new vehicle, but a funny thing happened. Gabby started cutting my hair, and made me want to stay. She is very easy going, and we always have good conversation, which is important to me while getting a cut. She knows exactly what cut I want, and always delivers. Shes super sweet, and cares about her craft. Id recommend anyone to visit her. Her attention to detail and sweet nature completely converted me to The Mens Room.

Gabrielle gave me one of the best cuts Ive ever had! The staff is incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is extremely welcoming. Its not easy to find a barber or hair stylist that you can confidently rely on when you need it. (Weve all had at least one haircut that we ultimately regretted...). Not here though, The Mens Room certainly solves that need for me! Five gold stars and a bowl of jelly beans!

I found my go to place for a barbershop. Best place around hands down. I explained the type of cut I wanted and Gabrielle delivered. She was so patient and wanted to make sure she got it exactly right. It was obvious that Gabrielle has a passion for styling and cutting and the end result definitely showed that. I was treated more than just a number of whos next? - Gabrielle and the rest of the crew made me feel comfortable and right at home. She once even stayed after the end of her shift to make sure I was taken care of and received the cut that I wanted. Friendly environment. Artists. Genuine people: and thats why I wont choose any place other than The Mens Room.

Great haircut definitely deserves five stars. Reasonable price too. My only complaint albeit not enough to take away a star is the hair on the floor. Guess you have to expect that at any busy barber shop.

Love all the girls and establishment. The men’s room has been a staple in the south towns community for as long as I can remember. Lori is extremely philanthropic for this community. Any type of event, charity event she is there doing what she can to support this town and never disingenuous. Friends, family and myself will never go anywhere else. Saw the positive reviews, decided to try it out despite a few bad reviews.Unfortunately, the bad reviews hit the nail on the head. Overall experience felt rushed. My last Barber would take 45-hr on my hair, this cut was maybe 10 mins.Asked for 1/2 inch off the top and traditional taper. Got one swipe with clippers up the sides and back (not a taper) and an inch off the top. Neck shave was 3 quick swipes. Wasnt Barber quality. Seemed like a cosmetology job.Ladies enjoyed talking amongst themselves rather than customers. Felt like a salon rather than a Barber shop. Sadly, wont be back.

I can no longer go here. Overall, the quality of barber here just keeps going down. Specifically, my biggest issue is having Marie cut my hair. She does a garbage job. I get a haircut and beard trim and she is done in 8 minutes flat. She doesnt follow anything you tell her to do. Asked for a tape up, didnt do it. She messed up the lines of my beard so bad. Thats what happens when you try to edge someones beard without them tilting their head back. How on earth would you think that was going to work? She cuts massive circles around your ears that take 2 weeks to grow back in. She doesnt do anything right, So sloppy. I cannot believe this place lets her work here. I am done leaving here having paid a high price for low quality work. Dont get me wrong, some of the barbers are great. But I am tired of playing Russian roulette where there is 4 bullets in 6 pulls.

Edgy and cool place for mens grooming

The ladies take the extra time for the care you need, especially on young boys. The haircuts are great, way better then a Supercuts or Fantastic Sams. They can be a little dramatic, as most of them are fairly young, but I still highly recommend this place.

Long wait, they do not clean between customers(health dept. violation). The woman who cut my hair the owner did a fine job but not what I asked for she was to busy arguing with one of her employees in front of customers, very unprofessional. Cash only, they have an atm with a 4 dollar fee. The owner said why should I have to pay the processing fee. Wont be back.

The place is a dump. Dingy,beat up looking cheap furnishings. I walked in late in the afternoon, was the only customer. The owner or mgr was talking to a sales rep and called my stylist away just as she sat me to show her clippers on an iPad to buy. She blathered away like I wasnt there for 5 min. After, I got a nice haircut and tipped well, >25%. Then I told the owner/ mgr ? and my stylist how rude I thought they were. (BTW, still the only customer in the place)Clearly they do not value a customer. The response was a shrug and the sales rep doesnt come around often.Well, I wont come around EVER because you are too dim to realize you gave up a paying customer and a good referral source for 5 min with a sales rep who didnt even have the product with her.You could have bought the clippers online and increased your revenues by treating me correctly...If you had a clue.
