Steve puts poor quality parts on my car and then when I call him for a refund or replacement, he says happily, the part has a lifetime warranty but you gotta pay the labor... well its a win win for him, he has no incentive to use better parts because he gets paid no matter what! Hes put 4 wheel bearings on my pontiac vibe. Ive paid him hundreds of dollars. This last one went bad while Im out of state, what can I do? Midas wants 600 dollars. I call him, he says, send me the wheel bearing and Ill see what I can do... I wouldnt recommend this resolution to anybody. The owner may be friendly, but if the shop puts parts on my car that leave me stranded and then they dont assume financial responsibility then its a waste of my money. Speaking of that.. I gave him my BMW.. he replaced an alternator and a valve cover gasket... pretty simple stuff if you have the space and time to do it yourself.. which living in buffalo and renting theres no space to do that type of stuff.. my headlights were bad, so he says he can get it in to the BMW dealer and have them make some progress on it.. then he provides me a 1000 bill from the BMW dealership to hook a computer up to the lights... but they didnt diagnose it or fix it... Steve did bad negotiations on my behalf with the dealer resulting in money needlessly being spent.. Im sure hes fine for basic repairs that you can prolly do at home anyway.. but lets face it.. these days people will pay a shop to have their brakes done.. Thank you Steve for putting bearings on my car that last 50k miles or less and leave me stranded on a work trip in tennessee. I would certainly describe this gentleman as a simpleton!

Excellent Service and the price is very fair!! Steve does excellent work and is Honest, which is not always the case when dealing with mechanics.

Asked for an electrical issue to be diagnosed on my vehicle and to let me know what needed to be done before proceeding. They decided to fix it without my consent costing me $780 to pick up my car. Left there with a head unit that no longer works (~$100 to replace myself) and a crack on the upper part of my radiator as if someone leaned on it (~$100 for a new radiator, will also have to do the work myself) Steve claims this is all just one big coincidence. Unfortunately I will never trust this shop with any vehicle of mine again unless I have no other option. Loss of a star because of the surprise $780 bill after I called multiple times asking what was going on and was told to stop calling and was given no information. Loss of another star because I need to buy and install a new head unit and loss of a 3rd star because I cant drive my car until I find a new radiator and install it myself. Maybe the nonconsensual $780 left a bad taste in my mouth thus me not having much faith in this all being a coincidence but hey coincidences happen. Better than the one star I initially selected. Steve is a great mechanic for figuring out the issue but this overall was an awful experience.Edit: I added a star because coincidences can happen, still unbelievable to me though.
