This company has been Sears Service go-to local provider for us for several years. They always do a great job, and keep us well informed.
Sears home services has been the mpst traumatic experince Ive had with customer service. The way they disrespected my father is beyond anything I have experienced before. We are currently having to use ice with bucket because they dont seem capable of getting a technitian to our home. But just the way they have left us waiting on the call for more than an hour, the way we could hear them laughing on the background talking about their personal lives. This is beyond disrespect. This has been traumatic, hopeless, and has trutly left us indignant and helpless. Thank for a trutly horrible experience.
Technician could not figure out how to remove dishwasher. He tried using a screwdriver to pry it out causing some damage to the cabinetry. I asked him to stop trying to pry it out and then told me they never should have put that dishwasher in there. The hole is too small. You need someone to make the hole bigger and then we can get it out. Really? The hole that the dishwasher is currently installed in is too small? I asked him about the damage he caused and he told me you can contact Sears but it wont go anywhere. You signed a waiver. After he left it took me less than three minutes to find the screw he forgot to remove and the unit slid out easily. Incompetent and unprofessional.
We waiting a week for someone to come out and finish our refrigerator and then after the extremely expensive appointment our refrigerator and freezer doesnt work at all. Now they are totally dodging talking to us again to schedule to come out again. We have a Kenmore so no other companies will service our refrigerator. Well be reporting this to the BBB and States Attorney for taking our money and then not fulfilling the service.
Technician was qualified in his evaluation of our gas range. He gave usa fair quote on parts and labor to fix it. The range is 18 years old and thequote was approximately 50% of a new comparable range. Unfortunately,most of our appliances are Sears purchases which we have been quitehappy with, but with Sears no longer in business we will have to deal with some other retailer. Don’t look forward to that.
Theres no way to speak to human being when you call them. If you try to bypass their menu youll have to wait for half an hour just to speak to Southeast Asia. Terrible service. I will never purchase anything from Sears.
The service man was polite and efficient. However, I felt as though the entire experience was all a scam to get me to buy into committing to a year long whole house warranty plan. Twice I was informed of this plan, once one the phone and once by the service man. Neither time was the monthly fee of $49 mentioned until I ask asked and neither time were the details of the warranty plan explained. I would have been better off just purchasing a new refrigerator as soon as I noticed there was something wrong. I will not call on your services again.
The service man was very knowledgeable and professional about his work. His computer he had was not working well and it took alot of time to try to close out his order. He finally said they would have to send me a bill.
The technician could not find the problem but was trying to have me accept to replace THREE parts that would cost over $600!!

Absolutely ridiculous to charge almost $300 for an hour of labor to clean out a defrost drain. No parts were replaced. You really took advantage of us. We will find another repair company for our future needs.
Worst service I have ever had!!! Sears now uses A and E for repairs and they were awful . Technicians lied about being at our home when they were never there. It took 3 months with multiple trips to do a simple repair on my oven. And I now have white knobs on a black oven because that is how they left me. I could go on and on. I never had these issues when Sears did their own repairs. I am not even going to give it 1 star. IT should be negative 1.
Very disappointing!They gave us a 9 hour window (8am-5pm) for the technician to arrive. This meant we needed to stay home the entire day. To make things worse the tech didnt arrive till 7:30 pm. By then I could see that the man was to exhausted to do much of an investigation as to why the dishwasher wouldnt drain. He never looked to see if something was clogging the drain. He then quoted a price of $250.00 without knowing what was wrong. He then tried to sell us an expensive warranty. I paid him $59 for coming and sent him on his way. No wonder Sears seems like its on life support. Just an inconsiderate ripoff. I will never purchase another appliance from them.
Tried to get my dishwasher fixed. The service technician did not fix the problem. Do not waste your time.
The repairman arrived during the time expected, and I was given plenty of notice about when he would come. He was courteous and helpful, and even swept out from behind my washer which he was fixing. He knew what was wrong right away, had the part in his truck, and was on his way quickly.
I was very unsatisfied with the service person that came to my home on 4/2/19 to service my refrigerator. I explained to him that I had call several days before regarding my ref was not keeping getting cold. I explained that I did the rearrange the food in my ref as I was told over to phone, but that had not work and that I had it set on the highest setting. This technician used his thermometer he said it read 24 degree and that there was nothing wrong. I explained to him I was losing food and that you could just feel that it was not cold and that prior it was getting cold. I became angry with him, because he would not listen and kept saying he did not understand. When I asked for someone else to come out or they come and get my ref, because its just a 1 year old and it was set on the 5 the highest setting and not get cold, he then went to his truck and came back with a thermostat and install it, I had ask him how long would it be before my ref would be cold, he said 2 or 3 days. My ref did start to get cold after a day, its cooling not, but I will monitor it. I do not recommend this technician at all.

Sears repair came to service my generator. He checked all but the battery he needed to replace for the starter on my generator wasnt on his truck so he left, got a new battery which was the correct size, and returned with in 30 minutes so I did not have to schedule another visit. He was polite and efficient.
Repairman was professional and courteous, still waiting on credit from part returned....
Worst repair job Ive ever had. Took a month and a half for them to send someone, and when he installed the new parts he broke my dishwasher completely. Customer service refused to help and just said they wouldnt bill me for my troubles.
This was one of the best service experiences Ive had from any company. Very thoughtful and courteous service person who also was very knowledgeable about our dryer and washer and helped us think through our options.
Ice maker was partially broken as it was delivering cubes but also some extra water which made one big hunk of ice. The arm on the unit was broken and I was impressed that he had a replacement unit in the truck which he installed quickly. Working great so far.
We were very pleased with the maintenance check-up on our microwave - the last before our extended warranty ran out.. The serviceman was prompt and professional. He completed his job in a timely manner. He did offer another extension to the warranty, which we didnt tajke.
Good and careful and clean worker. I am very happy with the repair. I wish that the response will be sooner than a week.
The technician knew what he was doing and explained some things to me that I have never heard before. His home maintenance tips should extend the life of our refrigerator. He inspected all of the functions and cleaned the guts, although he had to borrow my shop vacuum to do it. He ordered a replacement for the broken crisper drawer which came two days later.
The technician was nice BUT all I needed was to reset the washer- apparently necessary after so many uses. I had tried to find a reset code but could not.. Tech came- pushed a couple buttons and it was fine- a waste of money

Tech was great .The company was very poor . Not the Sears I grow up with dont do business with them . You cannot speak to anyone after the service in the US. EVEN THE LOCAL SEARS STORE CAN TALK TO ANY ONE LOCAL .You can talk to some in India but they are no help.Use local service companies. Lucys in Zion is great.
Worst experience ever. The customer service write down my street name wrong. Repair man apparently couldnt find the house. Repair man used his personal cell phone to call and didnt leave a message about who he was so I didnt know it was him. I called back the number like 26 times and He never answered. He then cancelled my appointment and they told me then I would have to wait 2 weeks to get another appointment. That would make it a month since I first contacted them for a repair. Customer service didnt seem to care either. I will be using someone else, as should you!
The technician fixed the dryer quickly and explained what was wrong with it. Also a very reasonable cost

Were do I start.......... first dont they have to clean the machine inside also because he just sprayed water on the outside. Second dont they have to check the level of the system in side the central air he did not do that. He was hear for less then 8min. I dont know if he did not care because I didnt get an extended warranty? I have no clue but I did not like this service this time and they expect for me to pay 6 thousand for this kind of service. Its a scam, we had a maintainance service, and after the technician left (after 15 minutes) for the washer and dryer, the washer started showing error messages. I will never never use Sears home service maintenance again. In fact this is my last bout with their appliances. So disappointed. I give them 0 stars, but couldnt post until I at least gave one start. When I called customer service, they had the nerve to tell me that it could be a charge for another technician to come out.
Scheduled an appointment and called to confirm the day of. Scheduled from 1-5pm at around 3pm I called to re-confirm and they said not to worry my technician would be onsite. At 5:15 received a call from technician they could not make it to appointment as he was over booked. Call service center and representative told me they over booked tech and I would have to re-schedule as I explained I took the day they told me again I would have to re-schedule. I asked for a supervisor and was placed on hold for 35 mins till finally giving up on the call and getting any service from Sears for support to fix my appliance. Sad an American icon is no longer focused on customer service.
First tech, Jim M, will never be allowed in my house again. Rude, unhelpful, refusing to listen to concerns and symptoms as well as test machine for complaint AND sloppy and uncaring.... Ramsey (next visit after parts delivered) and Roland (rediagnosted after repair still unsuccessful) were pleasant, efficient and good but dishwasher still not repaired which I assume is because of Jims original uncaring and sloppy diagnosis..waiting for additional parts now. Will re-rate after next visit.

No evening appointments make it very difficult for those of us that work. My appointment was canceled at the last minute. You would think a company the size of Sears would have backup or on call technicians in case your scheduled technician cancels - but no. Its been weeks now trying to get my repair taken care of. Also, Ive called their customer service line a few times at this point and it is very difficult to understand - very strong accents. Besides the language barrier, the person on the phone was very friendly - but I had to give up on the call because we couldnt understand one another.
TERRIBLE😖 Dave came to perform an annual cleaning of appliances and broke the water hose coming out of fridge causing water leak and turned off cold water source to prevent possible flood he called his boss and told him that he broke the hose Dave was very nice and this complaint is not toward him in anyway. He arranged for a repair person was to come at a later date to repair damage On the day the repair person was to come I encountered a most difficult conversation via phone related to problem and had great difficultly trying to understand him and why I would also pay $105 for him to enter my house and another $200 to $300 for repair service as I did not break the hose and connection. I did not appreciate his rude and argumentative comments I then refused his need to come to my house. I am VERY disappointed in your service and will not suggest others to purchase appliances from Sears. It is not the first time I have encounter problems with other purchases from your store I had to get a plumber to cap off broken water line and turn water back on and still have not filtered water or ice cubes and water is leaking inside the fridge. I have to put towels in back of shelf and change 3-4 times per day. To say I disappointed is truly a understatement

The Kenmore technician decided my furnace might have been damaged by the flood on July 17. He did not clean it. I had a representative from Sears sales here yesterday. He was a mechanical engineer by profession and provided an excellent ( the very best ever) explanation of HVAC operation.Unfortunately the cost of replacement with a Sears/Kenmore product would be $4000 more than with a Trane, Carrier or Lennox. I shall decide on one of those three.NFT

Warning, they don’t honor their Kenmore manufacturers warranty. Claiming the part is backordered and I’m now on week 8 without a working microwave.
Service was fine and done professionally as in the past. The only down side was that on the phone they try to sell you other services which is little annoying.
