GO ELSEWHERE!I agree with all the one star reviews and wish I read reviews before signing my children up. This establishment does not put children’s safety first. Tina (the owner) is extremely rude. When she goes out to teach the class it’s a complete joke. The instructors themselves are all high-schoolers that make kids stretch repetitively while they gossip with each other. After an entire year my kids did not learn anything. What a waste of money. You can do so much better.
Listen to all the reviews and do not give this business your money. I wish I read the reviews before signing up. There was a miscommunication with the office and instead of calling me and discussing the issue. Tina decided to ignore all my voicemails, emails and instead have her teen staff shake me down for money. It’s absolutely absurd the way they treat people. Tina and I would talk during my kids practice so I thought we had a good relationship. It’s very disheartening to see that she just saw me as another payment.
I cannot believe I thought this business was worth a shot. I read all the awful reviews and thought, well maybe things change. No. Tina is emotionally unstable. I came into the office and asked to fill out the drop notice. We had multiple issues with the couches. They don’t teach kids. They stretch the kids for the first 20 min while walking back and forth fo discuss drama with the other coaches. It’s like I’m back in high school. (as others have mentioned) my kids did not enjoy so I decided it’s time to pull them out.. when I mentioned this to Tina she became almost maniac. Started accusing me of not discussing this with her, and stated that she doesn’t want to see me or the kids again.. then told me I will have to pay 2 months of classes as a drop fee. This business is unpredictable and unprofessional. Take your kids and money elsewhere.
PARENT BEWARE!! Dont do it and learn from my mistake!!My child got injured, questioned werent answered and terminated our contract while in the ER.We had been attending the gym enrolled in a weekly class for just about 4 months. Class for the most part was ok for the price and what we were looking for at the time.We attended our first open gym which was told instead of paying for one on one, open gym were a better/cheaper option to get more practice. We attended our first open gym. The kids gather went over rules and then were off to go to rotating stations. No structure and 2 coaches on the floor. No more than 5 mins into open my child ended up with a black eye and face swollen. The coaches on the floor didnt even notice 1 that she had left the floor or 2 that she was injured. They gave me an ice pack and left me alone to tend to my child. NOT asking questions for a possible concussion or anything. They couldnt tell us what happened, just that they looked at the video and it was an accident. When her father went to ask more questions about the situation they wouldnt answer any questions, just sport injuries happen. Then while in the ER getting her checked, I was being told that they are terminating our contract and not welcome back.A black eye in a gymnastic gym isnt a sports injury when the gym wont tell how the injury happened.
I signed my daughter up for an open gym session to see where her tumbling skills were after not being able to practice them for over a year due to Covid. It was such a wonderful experience for her to go to the gym and have the coach work one on one with her for the entire time! I wouldn’t expect that to happen every time and the size of the class was very small but at the same time he didn’t need to work so closely with her seeing as how we weren’t paying for a private session It was just out of the kindness of his heart that he did give her so much focused attention and it greatly appreciated!!
Our concerns were addressed very poorly by the front office staff. They never apologized for any of my concerns. They just gave excuse after excuse. I am appalled at the way they handled the situation and truly expected more from them. I am disappointed in my self that I ever trusted them with my daughter. After reading all the reviews it seems others have had similar experiences. Truly disappointed and disgusted.
Worst experience with ever these people. It’s like their business model is to make enemies of their customers and treat their patrons like adversaries. The only thing that keeps them afloat is lack of competition. In case you’re curious about taking your kids here. Look at the reviews. We saw them but thought we’d give them a chance since they’re close to home but nope. The ‘ONE STAR’ reviews of this place are 100% accurate. Awful, mean owners and management. Pass on this place!
This company has made me weary of ever signing up for gymnastics for my children again! They did not communicate with me (the mother) about situations/ problems that arose! They told the childrens grandmother she could not be there to watch the children!! How unsafe!!! This business is very poorly run! Do not send your kids here it is very unsafe!
We just moved to Oregon and are looking for a good gym for our daughter. The reviews consistently seem horrible and they dont even try to fix or acknowledge their mistakes. I will not be wasting my time and money here.
Staff are courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable! Gym is well equipped! Lots of brand new equipment!
Please please don’t let your children or wallet around this horrifying people! I took my daughter home crying multiple times so I pulled her out and they sued me two years later for the remainder of the year. Nothing but a scam with a group of perves and wash ups if you could wash up from a sea you’ve never been in.
STAY AWAY!! YOU CAN FIND WAY BETTER!!These people are just plain out to get your money. I took my daughter here and will never return. The owners are trash and do not care about your kids all they care about is the money.
I cannot believe I almost signed my kid up for a class here. I scheduled a drop-in online through their website where it showed a preschool class for a Thursday evening that was available for us to join. I arrived with very excited toddler only to be told rudely by one of the coaches that theyre closed for spring break and the class I paid for isnt even in session right now. No one was expecting us, no one called me to explain that the class I was able to schedule wasnt actually available, and they werent even sorry about it either. Tina Stinson from the main office berated me over email with excuses and tried to ignore the fact that theyre online schedule is not maintained properly and multiple confirmation emails were sent to me. She refused to acknowledge what they did wrong and tried to make it seem like it was my own fault for not checking every email they sent. Theyre not organized or professional and they dont treat parents well or care about the kids experience, clearly. Im still waiting for an actual date of when Ill be receiving a refund because Tina was more concerned with treating me like an idiot than actually doing her job. Do not go here or trust these people with your preschoolers. Theyre horrible.
Watch out these people take advantage of you and steal your money and treat you like garbage. So make your children cry they will overcharge you and charge you when you decide you want to leave. Do not recommend coming here for anybody.
LOOK AT THE OTHER REVIEWS! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE MY DAUGHTER LEFT CRYING😭 AND THEY REFUSED TO SIGN THE PAPERWORK TO RELEASE ME FROM THE CONTRACT SO I HAD TO KEEP PAYING MONTHLY UNTIL THEY LET ME LEAVE. THE OWNERS DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR KIDS THEY ARE ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY. JUST A BUNCH OF KIDS TEACHING LITTLE KIDS. HORRIBLE PLACE STAY FAR FAR AWAY!
Hello Ive been having some major difficulties with your staff there at ngtc. My daughter came home crying last week from a session with alena. When I called and spoke with the lady on the phone yesterday she was very rude. I let her know I wanted to cancel. She let me know there was a fee which I never agreed to and didnt sign any paperwork agreeing to. She also said the paperwork to cancel was located online. Which on your website does not state that there is paperwork online or that would be accepted via phone email or fax. It says on your website that you have to come in and fill out forms to cancel. And doesnt State anywhere that youre going to be charged a fee.So I came in yesterday to ask for that paperwork, she said she didnt have it. Then she rummaged around and found it after about 8 minutes. Wants to give me copies of the paperwork I started filling it out she said I can do it somewhere else. Then threatened to call the police on me. I did nothing wrong she was just very rude and disrespectful. I have multiple businesses and I would never treat anybody as a client the way that I was treated yesterday. Once I filled out paperwork she ended up charging me $72 anyways from my bank statement. I already paid on the 10th of this month $161. Why am I being charged more? I would appreciate a call back to discuss this.I would not recommend anyone come here.
So sad. Two of the sweetest kids I know had awful experiences here. No excuse for a nine year old to leave a gymnastics class in tears. Dont give them your credit/debit number. Youll be billed long after youve quit.
These people are really not friendly. They are nice to your face. They are mean and belittle their students and the parents of the students.I wouldnt recommend anyone to come to this facility.
Wow I have never been treated so awfully by a business anywhere in this city. Tina Stinson you should be ashamed of yourself for the way you treat people. I do not recommend this place they were overcharged you and they are completely rude to your children. Children should not have to be crying when they leave any service that youre paying for.
Bad customer service, disrespectful and mean to people. Theyll make your children cry they will overcharge you when you want to leave and continue charging you after youve left. I do not recommend this business to anybody. Save yourself the time and misery dont even come here.
Ngtc runs a great program and my daughter really flourished.
They treated me awfully and made me cry in class 😢I would not recommend coming here. They dont respect you treat you with any dignity.
I had my daughter in their program for about 2 years. We never had an issue with the owners, some petty emails to all parents occasionally about pet peeves they had. Nothing to worrisome.....until covid happened. They continued billing after covid until over a month and then addressed it.They have since dramatically cut class time for the same pricing. They did say 10 minutes would be cut for cleaning, but the average time of classes was just over 20 minutes the last few times we went. When I addressed the coach she was very rude and basically shrugged me off.I called to cancel because we were exposed to covid and we were already dissatisfied with the choices being made, man that answered said it shouldn’t be a problem. Took my name and said I would get a call if something was needed. No call, never went to another class- because we CANCELLED. 3 months later I was notified of a 3 month past due on the account. Emailed the owner and she sent me the cancellation form with a $0 balance on it. I signed and emailed back. Then got another notice and I decided to call. several times, and received an email saying I owed it. Thank God for the balance on the form being $0, I was never once late in 2 years, always polite and agreeable with their practices. So sad to be mistreated over someone there not following policy. I have my daughter enrolled elsewhere now. Gym equipment is great, best coach for kids moved, and owners have questionable choices. Not recommended
Great place for littles to learn gymnastics. Loving it!!!
What an awful place and they treat children and parents with disrespectful and take advantage of you financially. They are theifs
Best school ever for my daughter😍😍😍
I have come a couple of times with my niece who is in the hippo class and have to say this is an amazing facility. My niece always has so much fun and is learning so much from everyone at this location. The staff here takes such good care of the kids and shows them gymnastics in a safe and professional environment.
HORRIBLE GYM PLEASE IM TELLING YOU DO NOT GO THERE
If people are extremely rude and unprofessional. If you are considering coming here dont save yourself the time and the money
This place is an absolute joke. Wish I could give 0 stars. My daughter was in the Hippo class with Mikaela and she was a terrible coach. All she did was look around and not be present with the kids. Several times, toddlers would fall because of her lack of engagement. (They werent severely injured or anything like that but it could of been prevented had she kept involved.) The only time I noticed she gave them a structured class was when there was another coach helping her out for ONE class. I believe anyone working with toddlers should be energetic and like working with kids. Didnt seem the case for Mikaela. The front desk lady is also a joke. She is majorly lacking any sort of customer service skills. She was always rude and I believe suffers from superiority complex given her attitude.Bottom line, dont waste your money here. There are many awesome gymnastics school that have a strong work ethic and actually care about the customers that fund their paychecks by being courteous, understanding and all around good people.
My daughter loves her gymnastics and the staff is great
My daughter goes to gymnastics here and we love it the instructors are awesome and the owner is the best the gym is clean and spacious its all around great experience
Tina and all other coaches here are absolutely amazing! My daughter has been attending rec classes here for two years and Tina has coached her many times over these two years. She cares deeply about the safety and well being of all the children in this facility. Even with the new move of the gym they have made sure to have it impact the kids classes as little as possible. I wouldn’t pick another place for my daughter to attend gymnastics classes I fully trust them with my daughters well being.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!My 4year old loves it!The staff are super friendly. The other kids there are very nice as well.We love the new location and being able to watch all the different levels. The coaches are great with the kids. Even when the kids have a tantrum or get emotional the coaches are always so supportive and caring. As for the “reviews” the ones mention “yelling”... I have never once heard these coaches yell with anger or negativity. The louder than conversation voices are used to account for background noise. The elevated voices are encouraging, happy, playful, fun.Over all I’m so happy that we are part of this gym.
My kids have really enjoyed their time here. They arelearning crucial skills that will help them later in life along with enjoying gymnastics! The staff is professional and helpful. Highly recommended!
This place has been amazing. All the coaches so far have been very polite and caring. My daughters current coach Charlie is incredible! He pushes her just the right amount and doesnt let them give up while boosting their confidence. Both owners have been amazing and helpful. Office staff is very inviting and always smiling. We will continue going here as long as gymnastics is my daughters passion!
Northwest Gymnastics Training center is an amazing gymnastics center that is constantly looking for improvements to make it even better for their customers. I have been going there for 3 years and Ive never stopped loving it! I have so much fun at every class I go to and the open gyms are so much fun every week!! if you want an amazing gymnastics experience go here. the customer service is incredible and the coaches are experienced and nice. Ive had my birthday party there for all 3 years and i will continue to do that.
I cant say enough about this gym and coaches. My daughter has thrived so much in the environment they have provided for the last year. 3/4 of playing sports is mental toughness, the other are skills. It is easy to be a gym who just teaches skills vs one who makes a complete athlete.
NGTC is a complete nightmare! Do not subject your children to this environment. The owner of this gym is completely out of line and unstable emotionally. The team director is a complete wreck with an alcohol issue and creates an uncomfortable environment for young girls being trusted in his care. Think twice, You have been warned!
Love this place!!! Have a kid on a team for over 3 years and wouldnt go anywhere else. Dont let other reviews scare you off. This gym is straight forward about the fees and never charge your card without permission. If you have questions and want to talk with the owners or a coach its simple email and ask for a meeting. I have done so on several occasions and not had a problem. Treat them as how you want them to treat you it is called being an ADULT.
Awful place. They will steal from you. RUN!
Fantastic gym! Tons of equipment, very well maintained. The entire staff are all very professional, helpful, and patient.I would definitely recommend this place!
NGTC is like my second home! I absolutely love working here and each day is extremely rewarding. All the people here are really nice, Tina and Eric are so super caring, whenever I need help they are always there for me, their #1 priority is always the kids. I 100% recommend NGTC because it’s like a really big family and I’m very lucky to be a part of it!
We love this gym!!!! We have two children who attend NGTC and they absolutely love this gym. The dedication to to the kids is unbelievable. They are a well structured, safe and organized gym that finds a balance between structured learning, discipline and fun. Their staff is very well trained in gymnastics and first aid. Last April my daughter was one of the two major injuries this gym has sustained. She tripped over her foot and fell and broke her arm, resulting in surgery. They splinted her arm like A professional and applied ice and kept her comfortable till we arrived. The ER was impressed with the care they took and their splinting skills. After reading other reviews I can only say that I am dismayed at a few of the reviews left on here especially about the open gym being unsafe. Our kids have gone to every open gym for 2 years with no issue. As a nurse and a parent I would never leave my kids in an unsafe environment. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The Gym facility is ok. But the policies and overall treatment of the parents leaves a lot to be desired. Most interactions with the front desk/management I am talked down to, and they seem to enjoy nickle and diming you. I have been over charged twice and had to call in to get an adjustment and overall they dont seem to care for the people paying for the gym membership. Not a wise business practice. In example, they attempted to charge me 5 cents for a disposable hair tie due to my child forgetting hers, on paper does that make sense? Yes. But as a parent who you are attempting to run a debit card for 5 cents it is insulting and also petty.EDIT: To see an example of what the patronizing looks like just read their response to my review. Start with the I am sorry you dont see the value part lol.
Northwest gymnastics center is great. My children love it, its a great place for all age children and its affordable. My girls are 3, 5, and 10 and they are learning so much. They were happy to reschedule makeup appointments for all of my kids when they were unable to make it to class.
Be careful about their student waiver and release of liability which is actually an automatically renewing, price increasing, contract they will not let you out of...despite moving. Instructors (Charlie for my son was great) were mostly nice, but I witnessed certain coaches be grouchy to young children. Overall wasnt a great experience working with their team.
Great instruction and instructors. Charlie has been working with my 8 year old boy and has made gymnastics fun, engaging, and instructive, all the while building up his confidence and self-esteem.They also have generalized weekday/weekend activities, as well as party/event booking services. My family and I have had an awesome experience with NGTC.
If I could I would put 0 ... You wont find my bad reviews anywhere, because I was always thinking either to live a good review or keep your opinion to yourself, not in this case... I really hope my review will help other parents to not waste time and loose money! long story short: as a mom of three, i know how important our kids to us and we dont want anyone to destroy their personality by yelling on them or ignoring! Just keep your kids and yourself as far as possible from Tina and this place, there are many more places with more professional coaches and owners who will answer all your questions, phone calls, emails and concerns...
NGTC has phenomenal owners, coaches and staff. The environment here is safe and welcoming to parents and gymnasts. It’s a wonderful feeling leaving the gym and looking forward to coming back for the next practice. If you have questions or concerns they answer them on spot and will get whatever it is resolved! My daughter loves coming to practice and loves that feeling of being a part of a team and family. I highly recommend NGTC!
The staff is great, my daughter is on the preK Rhino class where they learn a lot while playing. Each class is different but contains certain themes. The little kids get to try out the trampoline, climb on a rope, use the uneven bars and more. They are quizzed on their color, taught to respect each other and learn how to wait their turn. The current facility definitely looks old but they are moving to a new place by the end of the year. I cant wait to see the new parent viewing room.
Great equipment! I was on the Xcel Team! I had EJ and Kelsey, but Kelsey quit due to college, and then we got Sarah. I quit this place though because I was stressed, and I had anxiety. The coaches at this place need to be more supportive, and believe in the gymnast. Some of the coaches were great at that! Some weren’t though. I would love if the coaches were more supportive and understanding. That’s one of the downsides of this gym, the other is that they charge you for QUITTING! We had to pay like $800 for me to quit because we gave them notice week after meet fees were due. I like this place but I would like it even more if the coaches were way more supportive, and to focus on the skills and not just conditioning, because when I went went I got moved down from Gold, we mainly did conditioning for practice, not all of practice, but most of it. I really wish I could’ve had a better time here. Thank you to my coaches! I do wish I had more fun here. Good for the people that had a wonderful time here! I’m sorry for the people who didn’t. Hope your time at the new gym is great!
My daughter has been coming for almost a year and not only does she love her coach and the class but she’s developed a good skill set for a young kid. Staff is friendly and helpful and the owner has always answered all of my questions and concerns with satisfaction. 10/10 would recommend.
This place is a complete JOKE! The owner’s wife has no respect for anyone who steps foot into her gym. She treats the kids horrible and talks down to many of them. The new office manager is rude and vindictive, I have witnessed them both of them gossip behind parents backs even as far as to other parents. There is a complete lack of training all around with the employee’s. The new gym is great, but they aren’t going to be able to keep kiddos coming back if they don’t do some HR training and work on their ethics. It’s a shame, hopefully they can figure it out before they have to close doors. I would not recommend this place to any parent please think twice before enrolling a child.
This is an amazing gym. I cant say enough good things about the owners and the staff. Great environment for the kids! You walk in and are greeted by name, the owners and staff care about each and every person. We drive 45 minutes to get to the gym, and its worth it!
This was the worst experience for my daughter and I. Dont waste your money they are very unorganized and very confusing on how they operate. Never once was the amount I signed up for that came out of my bank account correct some how I kept getting charged 35 dollars more then I was supposed every single month. This is an honest review, if you like throwing money down the toilet this is the place to go.
We have been going to NGTC for almost two years now, first as a part of the recreation program and now my daughter is on a team. Since joining NGTC my daughter has become more confident and her skills have vastly improved. She loves coming to practice and seeing her teammates, while also learning along side them. We appreciate all the love, knowledge, humor, and patience that the crew of NGTC have displayed in teaching the children that attend the gym. Thank you all!
It is a nice gym dont get me wrong but the coaches are more focused on the team than all kids in rec classes dis the same thing week after week.. the coaching staff is great for the teams but rec classes they are just high school students some with no experience at all my child has been there o wr a year with very little growth!
Awesome Gym!! Tina and the staff are professional, courteous and go out of their way to ensure a safe and excellent experience for the kid (and parents). Our daughter has been at the gym for 4 years and loves every minute of it. The coaches are kind and patient (our little girl can be a handful sometimes). Would recommend NGTC to anyone without hesitation!!!
Amazing gym, people, and atmosphere. Not only is this the only gym we would have our daughter at but this gym donated time for my mother to teach her Special Olympic athletes at their facility. Best place in town.
I couldnt believe how poorly my 4-year-old was treated by her teacher there, and how poorly they communicated when I expressed my concerns and request to drop their class immediately. My 4-year-old was brought to tears in the class on more than one occasion. The teachers lack patience and inability to communicate with children was disturbing. Their drop policy is under the circumstances was unbelievable to me. On top of that, I found it absurd how a consistent teacher was non-existent. Im sad that my daughter has been scared out of gymnastics and I dont know when shell be willing to try again. I certainly do not recommend this place.
If I could give it zero stars I would. This gym is awful!Rec side: On the recreational side, they have so many kids working out the coaches can’t, and don’t notice what’s happening in the class. A lot of times, the coaches are looking at their phones.Respect: The lady at the front desk (the owner Tina) goes on and on with lengthy conversations bad mouthing other customers/parents to anyone who will listen. Sometimes it’s about people that wrote the reviews. So rude and and so unprofessional. Honestly they get terrible reviews for a reason!!! They have a general lack of business etiquette and respect.Team side: Too many times I’ve seen coaches belittling the athletes. I’ve seen athletes crying on the sidelines because of how they were treated. I’ve heard cursing, threats, and a general disregard for respect. Look around that gym, no one is smiling! I get it. They are hard on their kids, they have a high level of expectations and are very competitive. But come on! I’ve seen them scream at 6-7 year olds just as bad as at the teens. These are kids for gods sake! The owners: Also the entire family runs the gym. The husband and wife are the owners, and the kids are all coaches. If you have an issue with the coach, don’t expect them to listen to you as you’re talking about their family. I’ve heard other parents talking to them and they simply don’t listen to reason. It’s their way or the highway.Parents: the other owner Eric is absolutely crazy. I’ve seen a parent try to discuss a gym issue with him and he totally went nuts. He repeatedly told the parent to “get out”, “just leave”, “get out of here” and told them he had called the police to remove a parent in the past. I heard that from another parent too- who was there for that drama. Yikes.Bottom line: don’t waste your money. Don’t shoot down your kids confidence. It’s not worth it for a stupid gold metal.
My daughter and I love this place!!! They all are so friendly. The coaches are awesome with the kids and very knowledgeable. The owners are always welcoming. Never had a problem with NGTC and we have been with them for over 1 year.
We had a terrible experience here.Impatience and a short temper do not mix well with young children and unfortunately, both those words describe Tina, the owner here. My child came to this gym with a big group. Tina had difficulty managing the children, was clearly overwhelmed and just angry with the kids and so rude to everyone, including a poor girl she had there helping who must attend gymnastics there. She yelled, actually yelled across the room, at one child for walking across a balance beam, using it exactly as it was intended. For some reason she didn’t want the kids using it, but they had been playing on it for about an hour beforehand?I don’t believe anyone given permission to care for someone’s children should ever shout at them. I would never entrust my child in this woman’s care and I absolutely cannot recommend this gym.
I’m not one to leave negative reviews but I was really frustrated here. My daughter was doing a drop in trial class and she was very excited so I had high hopes it would go well and we would register! However, when we walked in.. there was nobody at the desk... when someone finally noticed us he asked “is there something you need” no “hi! Welcome” friendly smile/ that you would normally receive at a center.. just very abrupt... I was kind of taken back by that. I guess I’ve been spoiled with good customer service ? Anyways, after my child completed Gymnastics trial .. she said she loved it and wanted to register .. great- cool coach.. so I thought I’d forgive the first impression and still register .. i waited at the desk for maybe 15 minutes ... nobody .. staff noticed me, made eye contact.. nothing. There was no follow up asking how my child liked it, I recieved no call to see if I wanted to register. Nothing. Just made me feel like I was just a number and I wasnt going to be valued. That’s unfortunate. I would like to add that this was MY experience, One day.. this place may have been way better on a different day- so try not to let the reviews keep you from trying a place. We all have different expectations! They may meet yours! They just didn’t meet mine. Best of luck.
My kids love this place. They would spend everyday here if I let them. My youngest cries every time she has to leave.
My kids enjoy rec classes here. The staff are friendly and do a great job keeping kids engaged in the activities and excited to learn new things.
TERRIBLE...TERRIBLE... just money hungry. Wish I could give zero stars.
There are no words to say how I feel about this place. My 9 year old daughter has been going there for 2 years and loves it! There is so many different programs and activities that my daughter would spend everyday there if I would let her. Gymnastics is an expensive sport and their concern is not about profit but about giving my daughter the chance to learn gymnastics and gain new skills. Their motto is that the gym is a family and it really is. I will never send my daughter to another gym and I would recommend this place to everyone. BOTTOM LINE IS YOU WOULD BE CRAZY NOT TO GIVE THIS GYM A CHANCE SO THEY CAN PROVE HOW AMAZING THEY ARE!!!
I just signed my daughter up shes 7 years old and is looking forward to joining this gym! I mean she is very excited! Reading all the bad reviews Im kind of worried now but I see a lot of good ones too. Having faith that all will work out
We have been taking our 2 year old here for a few months now & absolutely love it! She has learned so much, even things like colors and how to count to 10. Coach Angie was the best!
Went this Saturday to check out the gym for my 6 year old. One coach with 7 girls, the coach looked lost and there were two kids crying. It was a complete mess. Left completely baffled, I would NEVER trust my kid at this gym. I don’t understand how this is still open. The coach couldn’t even find him laptop for about 10 min rummaging through his messy desk.
We love NGTC! The coaches are awesome and know their stuff. We have been customers for over 5 years and have never been cheated or overcharged. Its truly a family environment.
Tina, Eric, and all team level 2 coachs and basically the entire staff at NGTC are superb. Words cannot describe how amazing this gym is. As a parent when I signed my daughter up for gymnastics I expect that the staff and coaches are going to provide a safe, firm, engaging experience and NGTC exceeds expectations. We have been let down by a few other gyms and can honestly say changing to NGTC was the best thing we could have done! Communication is key in any relationship and Tina is one of the best people to communicate with. You can honestly see that all coaches and staff genuinely care about the growth, success, and most importantly the safety of each of their students and team members! Thank you to all of you! Keep up the stellar work! Layla is loving every moment and has told me that she has learned so much.
I would rate this place with more stars because the instructor was great with our daughter. The reason I gave it a two stars was because the receptionist was not perfessional . She had a conversation with someone else about another event other than the gym. I thought this was something that you do in break. My fiance also mentioned she had a rude tone with her once. We were not completely satisfied with this experience. We will no be returning.
I would rate them zero stars but thats not an option. Dont waste your money on these people. They dont care about your child, they only care about getting their money. They charged our card without authorization and when I tried to get the money back, I had to talk to them several times to get them to put the money back. They increased practice to 3 hours per session the week before a meet and gave horrible advice when our child had the skin torn off the palms of her hands which made it worse and then did a balloon on top of that, so the day of the meet, her palms were bleeding. When it comes to meet fees, they dont explain everything, they just charge late fees. Im sorry I wasted so much of our money on these people. Our child was in there for almost a year and when we decided to cancel due to the financial circumstances in our family, they treated us like animals. They threatened us with collections the second I mentioned to them about wanting to cancel. They werent interested in talking to us like human beings. The receptionist was really unprofessional when I was talking to her and handed the phone to her son without even saying anything to me. This is simply a family business to them and nothing more. If you want your child to do gymnastics, take them to a place that will care about gymnastics and not just money.
My daughters have been coming to NGTC for 3+ years. The staff is superb, they are always patient and accommodating and safety always comes first. The coaches truly love what they do and are very knowledgeable and know how to inspire their students to love it too. Dont worry if your child is shy these coaches really help them to open up.Love training here at the new location. The environment is comfortable, friendly and nonintimidating. This is a fun place for all ages. I love that I can come in and watch my daughter’s practice. We love this gym!!! Definitely a community worth being a part of.Thank you NGTC!Nichole Demagalski
It all started with a Groupon pass and now my girls have both gained so much strength in their little bodies. I’m happy they both like it and are always looking forward to be in class. NGTC has always been helpful and friendly. There’s been times where we’ve had to schedule makeup classes and I’ve never had an issue with this. I like the diversity in the gym and I enjoy being there myself and having the random conversations with Tina while my daughters are training. Thank you NGTC for everything you do!
This place doesnt even deserve one star. By far the worse experience Ive had with any business. I got hung up on THREE different times by three different people. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told to hold on and was hung up on. The guy called me a bluntly called me a LIAR! I am so glad I dodged a bullet and didnt take my kids here. I instantly cancelled my Groupon Deal. Please save yourself some time and DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT take your kids here. All of the staff were extremely rude.
My daughter is really enjoying being a part of one of the several NGTC competition teams. She has been at this gym for almost 3 years. The coaching staff have been very professional in how they teach and instruct our gymnasts to be not only the best they can be competitively but also as individuals. I really appreciate this as a parent who cares about the environment my daughter spends quite a bit of her time in. My daughter is happy and excelling in a healthy environment that encourages respect and good work ethics in a very fun way. Go NGTC and thank you!
All I need to say is this place is just flat out amazing.
You guys are the best ever😍😝😄
The coaches and staff are wonderful. Both of my girls have learned a lot since going here. The staff and coaches are very encouraging, helpful, supportive and energetic. I couldnt have asked for a better gymnastics team. ALL HAIL NGTC!!!!!!
We had an amazingly fun birthday party!
Well originally we loved this place. I loved the structure for my kids and the fact they they pushed them to do their best! Coach Charlie is amazing!! My son loves him and is very sad to leave him! Right now our schedules are just to busy for gymnastics and we haven’t been in about 2 months so I figured I would drop my kids atleast until the summer was over. Well that didn’t go over to well with the owners there. I thought we had had a close relationship, I had worked unpaid there a couple times with them, and we had shared many conversations. Some I didn’t approve of. If you don’t want your personal business shared with other parents at the gym be sure to not tell the staff there. They will gossip all customer complaints, and or issues with just about anybody. I know quite a bit about other families financial issues, and or other problems. I found it very unprofessional and unattractive for a owner to gossip about such private things. I’m sure my email with her today is being laughed at this very moment! I had called over a week ago trying to find out the drop policy and left a message. I knew it was a 30 day notice which I was ok with. I just didn’t know if it was office paperwork or something that could be emailed ect. I was fine with coming in to the office after finding out. What upset me was that she basically called me a liar about calling on the 1st. Saying she had no missed calls from me not messages. Until, I screen shotted her my call log and told her I didn’t appreciate the insinuation. Her reply in a mocking like email stated. Thanks for the screen shot. No apology or anything. Needless to say we will not be returning back to NGTC. For the family whose house burnt down and was mocked because they were unable to pay their bill, I am sorry for the bulling you were exposed to. Plus all the other stories. This is no way to run a business.
A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR MY KIDS. Great coaches, lots to learn and my kiddos love this place. Thank you for investing in our kiddos NGTC!
Two of my daughters are gymnasts at NGTC - one in JO who started in the rec program five years ago, the other in excel who started in rec two years ago. They both love being there. No, it isn’t “all fun and games.” In fact it can be hard work, but that’s what it takes whenever you want to be the best. The staff at NGTC must be doing something right - my daughter’s JO team won back-to-back state championships. That doesn’t just happen. It takes dedication, discipline, teamwork, and lots of practice. These are attributes taught at NGTC.I highly recommend NGTC if your daughter or son is interested in gymnastics. The staff and coaches will work with your child, regardless of age or skill level. I have never had a negative issue with any coach or the management, and I appreciate the open communication that we have. The very few times that an issue has arisen, it was taken care of quickly. These are good people and I trust them implicitly.
I was a student at NGTC for many years and loved it! Staff was (and is) hands on, dedicated, professional, and always created a positive learning environment for students! I was able to expand my knowledge and skill of gymnastics over the years I was at NGTC. I am now proud to call myself a rec. coach here, and couldnt be happier. NGTC truly is a family and Im so happy I got the opportunity to be a part of this gym, from student to staff!!
Really good gymnastics and great coaches!
I love this gym! We started out in rec in Oct 2014, by May 2015 my daughter had the skills needed to join JO team. Since then she has done nothing but flourish! We love all the coaches and the staff. They are always helpful and its obvious they care. Its not uncommon to see both owners walking around helping out during rec classes and team practices. We would follow NGTC just about anywhere! Cant say enough good things about the changes in my daughter and the friendships she is building because of this gym!
My daughter is in love with this gym but i have a question when you will move to the new gym?
I have been going there for a while and all the coaches are so nice and fun I love it there and its a great way to make new friends
I love NGTC because it makes me become a better gymnast and Im improving on new skills everyday because of the amazing coaches and their effort to making me and every other gymnast a better one.
I was a gymnast and went here a while back, at first I liked it. And then saw how horrible some of my other members were being treated. Some team members asked to seak medical attention and they weren’t giving any. And pushed off as “your faking it” and punished for feeling sick! A girl on my team Sam, she was pretty much targeted. She never put herself or anyone in danger or said anything mean or horrible. Some times she wouldn’t hear the coach from across the gym and just get sent up to the team room and be punished. She’d cry, and the coach would go over to me and talk bad about her! And if she continued to cry she’d be sent home...this girl was in the 3rd grade. I mean come on! They also like to rip you off. I came in with music I wanted to dance to but couldn’t because my coach didn’t feel like cutting it! He wanted to use music he already made and charge my parents for it. Guys. Do not take your child here! They won’t even admit when they are wrong, they won’t apologize when they are wrong. Look at all these reviews-people saying it’s bad! And look at ngtcs comments. They blame everything on a child who probably didn’t do anything or on parents upset because the coaches like to gossip to anyone who will listen. They don’t motivate you, they break you. They make you feel bad when you mess up. They break your spirt. If you want a gym top flyte is better... and not too far away. Go their. Here they break you down. Take it from a former gymnast! Do not go here. You will regret it. It will be nice in the beginning and then you see their dark side. This is a family owned business and all they care about it money. Not your child. If you think they care about your child, look over the contract fully. Do you see how they charge you for everything? Even quitting! THEY CHARGE FOR QUITTING. I’m sure it’s bevause they get to many people quitting they think they’d make a profit. If your a parent promoting this gym it’s probably 3 things. 1.) your child doesn’t work with EJ or the team coach. 2.) your child doesn’t tell you 3.) your child’s a favorite.People! I will make this loud and clear. Don’t come here.Hope you see this EJ :) this is mostly about you
0 starsAs a former gymnast I understand what a gymnast wants to feel like at a gym. They want to feel powerful and inspired to do anything. This gym does the complete opposite. They make you weak and awful. Send you back to where you first come in ( a room) and make you miss most of practice. They want you to waste as much money as possible. Day late to a fee? 50$ and if you quit you have to give every single piece of what YOU BOUGHT and give them to Ngtc, while having absolutely NO money back. Also an additional fee for, guess what. QUITTING! If I could give 0 starts I would. And boy coaches are touchy. Absolutely hate going to practice after a few months. They get you into this all happy and supporting you and let you invest all the money as possible then hit you with there actually personal side. Dont even say that thats how you improve. Going home everyday losing skills fast isnt making you better. They have favorites trust me. Youll see after you gave ever penny to them how evil they can get. And no wonder Rigert spilt apart from this horrible gym. This is my opinion and nothing will every change it. ☺️
This place is a JOKE. Dont put your kids through NGTC. They have a history of bulling, putting down and humiliating these girls. There very tacky people who run this place.Lots of unanswerd questions about finances and fees. Money went missing???Tina the owner is a horrible business owner at best. Bad attitude.Lots of my girls friends have left..Dont do this to your kids!!!!!
As a member of the gym I am responding to the above. I was present for the entire confrontation and the truth of the matter is that the incident indeed was precipitated by Veronica Padilla who kept raising her voice and interrupting when her answers were trying to answered. She then preceded to leave the gym, leaving her car keys on the counter and returned with her apparent significant other. Upon his arrival he was using foul language and had such aggressive behavior in front of other families and children, that the police where called by myself and they were actually told not to return or the would be considered trespassing and would be arrested. Apparently, in her review she forgot to state that there was never any foul language or aggression shown by the staff, but rather by herself and significant other who were yelling and using foul language.
This is a warning to anyone that is thinking of going to this place! I wanted to rate it at zero stars, but couldnt. They debited my credit card without authorization, and then wouldnt refund the money! I was told they could only credit me for the next month (which is illegal without my consent), and was the beginning of the end for me. The trainer would never take my phone calls, or talk to me in person, but instead wanted to ONLY communicate through email. I asked to talk with her when she was in the office, and was told we would need to email her....which was obsurd and extremely unprofessional..she was right there?!?!I made the decision to give the required 30 day notice, due to very poor communication from the owners and trainer. It was done in a very polite manner, and got a disturbing reaction! Eric (owner) told me that we were done at that very moment, and that my daughter could only attend rec for the remainder of the month (which is nowhere in the contract). He immediately pulled my daughter out of the class, and told her to get her stuff, and that I was out front waiting for her!! My daughter realized that she had left something in the back, and went back in to get it. When she returned, she was traumatized and crying! We found out that Eric (owner) had the audacity to tell my child that he didnt like her mom!!!! He actually repeated those words right in front of my fiance. Who in their right mind says something like that to a child...especially an adult!!!! My little girl had absolutely nothing to do with what was transpiring. All I wanted was to discuss gear that may be needed for upcoming events. Instead, my daughter gets kicked out after I politely gave the required notice. The statement made below in regards to police, has been taken completely out of context (for damage control). The owner didnt at any point try to rectify the situation, but instead ignored us. He felt it was okay to tell a little girl he didnt like her mom, without repercussions. Our child was in tears, and he didnt care to correct the large mistake he had made. Of course we got upset (which is fully justified), and wanted talk to him civilly about it, but he wouldnt talk at all. He only acknowledged what he said to her, after we had gone outside, and they had called the police. Thats how these people resolve issues, by not acknowledging anything happened?!?! The police officer (no back up)..lol, was very nice. I spoke to her for a while, to give her the big picture as to what was going on.Remember, this is a place that works with KIDS all day long, and thats a scary thought. Please read the other reviews about this place, and youll see a pattern. Our children deserve to be in an environment thats encouraging, and we found that at another gym!
