Ive been at this gym for almost a year, and I havent had any complaints until I brought a guest in. The workout started out great, we did our own thing and then finished by doing some exercises together, but before we left, the manager had pulled us aside to tell us that it looked like my friend was training me even though he was not. It would have been fine if we were approached during our workout instead of waiting until we were about to leave because then we would have been able to explain ourselves instead of other people making assumptions about what were doing. I feel that we were singled out because there were other people in the gym that were working out together, and it looked like they were training the other person but no one ever says anything to them. This happens all the time, every time Im in the gym, I see other members working out together or training each other, and its fine. I think the whole situation wasnt handled very well; it could have been dealt with in a different manner.
Signed up online since I have belonged to their locations in Norwalk and Fairfield and they were awesome. When I came in person the first time there was not an open machine in sight. I asked what options I had to cancel my membership and the girl at the front of the store said cancelling would be basically the same price at bringing for a year. Every time I come the place is packed with people and a workout is painfully slow. I cannot use half the machines I want. This location has ruined my love of the Edge.
Worst decision i ever made joining this company, I had a personal trainer but because of long work hours and relocating I wasnt able to go to workout sessions, so i requested to cancel my personal trainer subscription and 3 days later i was charged for it. i called and ask for my refund and i got no help. i would never recommend this company to anyone
1st time back in 1+ yrs cant believe most not wearing masks, no windows, heavy breathing. If 1 person gets Covid it will be a real hot bed. Its so easy to wear mask when exercising. What is the big deal? People vaccinated are still getting covid & can pass it on, also look at India. Selfish people who havent had the experience have a lot of nerve just because they may not have known anyone yet that died. Terrible. Guess I will be quitting, cant risk endangering my family.
They don’t handle any account management. The payment processor they use will not respond when you try to cancel, will charge you for an extra month and requires proof that you are outside of range or medically unable to go to the gym. This is a money trap and should be avoided at all costs. There are other gyms that will not try to steal your money.
THEY DONT KEEP IT CLEAN. FLOORS DIRTYTHE EDGECARES, DOESNT.
Do not sign a contract here unless you are prepared for miscommunication and poor service.Their gm (James) was also very aggressive and unprofessional on the phone, while I remained polite and simply asked for a $50 refund on the annual fee which I asked to avoid months ago. There are better gyms in the area.
Trying to cancel is a headache, theyll make your life a living hell. Do not sign up unless you dont mind being forced into remaining a member.
Great place, great staff, sometimes a little crowded, but Thats due because of the covid ..
Good luck trying to cancel. Ive been at it for for about 3 months. Youll have to contact their billing which is run by a third party. You must jump through about 5 hoops and make multiple phone calls. Youre also on hold for most of those phone calls as you wait your turn. Then in a few weeks you will receive an email which states that your cancellation is pending BUT you still have to wait anther month while they take out the last payment. While you were trying to cancel for the 3 months they are basically charging you. Ive been a member for about 4 years but my advice is to really read through the contract and how its structured. I was setup on a month by month basis and I still had to go through a nightmare. I cant fathom if youre in an actual contract. And to be clear, my membership is still not canceled after multiple months. I need to wait for the last bill and then they will cancel. I have moved to upstate NY and was on a month to month basis but it was still a nightmare. The General Manager from the Greenwich gym never helped once. Ive left messages for him through his staff and was assured he would call me back. Never heard back. I rarely if ever leave negative reviews but this has been some journey. trying to cancel this. Good luck if youre in the same boat.
This gym is clean and the staff is nice. It gets crowded at peak times and parking is annoying. I had a bad experience at this gym because of the people who frequent it. As a female lifter, the way my body was shamelessly objectified made me feel uncomfortable in more than one instance.
Cardio equipment is superior.
One of the best gyms in Connecticut.. staff is outstanding .. workout environment serious... tho the best thing about this gym its there commitment to sanitation And being extremely clean... Im working for the health department for over 20 years And this gym is top 3 in all Connecticut on there health n cleaning procedures...
Its a pretty good place to work out
Its great to be back. I understand the Greenwich facility is small, however, I am noticing more people not wiping down the machines after use. Very disconcerting. Why they are making an effort by having extra cleaning people around that is great. But employees must make a greater effort to notices to and say something when they see it.
Tried the gym out, small but has what you need. Best thing about this gym is the staff. I just joined and I feel like I have been here for years. Im greeted every morning by name and a welcoming smile. Just what I need to wake me up and get excited for the gym first thing in the morning
You will be hostage of here since it is almost impossible to get out of the contract. You have to fight hard to terminate. I am moving to out of state and they said I am denied . I provided my new lease yet they said no and I am still fighting. My new home is further than 15 miles fromany of edge .
I joined the edge fitness in Greenwich CT because I used to work in Greenwich but I live in Darien CT back in September, so I signed a contract of one year, and told the guy who registered me that I might lose my job and I cant drive all the way over here because of the pandemic and he said sure its a breakable contract, so unfortunately I lost my job and I cant drive total of 15/16 miles just to go to a GYM, I called them but they were very rude and unprofessional, I feel like the edge fitnesss contact is a scam,For the new members out there dont trust this GYM,EDGE FITNESS TREATS ITS MEMBERS LIKE THEY DONT NEED THEM AFTER THEIR CONTACT EXPIRES, NOR LEAVE A ROOM OR THE POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP SO YOU CAN GO REJOIN THE GYM AGAIN.Dont trust the positive comments you see on here they got to be done by the management staffs.(The truth)
DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! AND MOST IMPORTANT DO NOT SIGN FOR PERSONAL TRAINERI like the fact that the gym is close to my house and they have some nice classes. But under desperate times, I felt into the mistake to sign up for personal trainer sections. It was the worst mistake of my life! First of all, it is extremely expensive for getting almost nothing back. More than $200 for only 30 minutes one time per week (I was really desperate to have accepted this). Second, it is impossible to cancel this. The staff literally dont care about you or helping you. When you are joining the gym, they dont give you all the details and what you are going to have to pay for. There is a huge lack of information from them and they say the problem is yours because you didnt read the 5 pages terms & conditions report. Be aware! Find another gym!
Depending on what time you go. Covid has made it tough. Be forewarned. It is packed. And I think many people from NY have realized gyms are open in CT. Which may account for the increase in new members.
I spoke on the phone with a Jessica whom was very informative and friendly. In person I was greeted by a less enthusiasic person and tried the gym for the day. When I met Jessica I was sold! She is a burst of sunshine in a dull gym and made me feel so welcomed. Besides that the staff is constantly cleaning and correcting wrongful mask wearers. I am now a yearly member of The Edge.
Think twice before signing up for a membership here.
The least pleasant gym experience I have ever had. From equipment quality to management policy and employee attitude, it has been a displeasure from the beginning.Reasons for my rating:1)I had called on a Tuesday once to inquire about the month-to-month pricing, received the information, and planned to sign up that Sunday. When arriving to sign-up, they told me they changed their membership policy to only year-commitment contracts that Friday. This was done surely because they knew many people from NY would go to this club and wanted to take advantage of their desparation and for the fact that NY gyms will inevitably open and they wanted to milk as much money from those clients as possible.2)The equipment itself was of poor quality and limited.3)Many times I have seen equipment not functioning, and then the next day a sign on it alluding that it was Closed due to social distancing efforts. So completely omitting that equipment was not working and instead opting for a lie.4)The staff was unwelcoming, often not giving clear answers to things when asked. The power went out during one afternoon, which is not specfically there fault. The staffed seemed cavalier about the situation and was completely uncommunicative about what was going on to the many members that were there. All the members heard secondhand from other members that the power will not be back on for 2 hours. No announcment was made by staff there personally to the members who were there waiting.5)They have zero refund policy have a nonsensical 30-day charge fee when you cancel your membership. Even though my lease date started on the same day as my annual fee charge. I am still somehow responsible for that, the fee for the month before and the fee for the upcoming month.I suggest anyone who would rather not be treated as dollar signs and nothing more to stay away from this gym and management. At the very least, having to pay those unneccesary charges is worth never having to attend, interact, or otherwise being associated with this gym.Good riddance.
Great at mask wearing and cleaning protocals but i do think they should start counting ppl ... sometimes get overcrowded
The sales representative the counter very rude.Went in for the 7 day free trial and she told me we can only do it when the friend that referred me included my name during the sign up. Very disappointing because nowhere in the advertisement for the 7 day trial does it say that he needed to include my name.
DO NOT JOIN THIS CLUB. I moved to Florida in August and the gym continued to charge me until February when all my attempts to keep canceling it failed, I had my bank stop all payments. They wouldn’t give me back the two hundred dollars worth of personal training sessions I paid for (which I understand) but now they’re going to send my account balance of $26.58 to collections. All because I canceled in August and finally had my bank stop ALL payments in February. I WILL he reporting both the gym and ABC financial to the better business bureau because that’s unethical business practice.
I joined this gym a few months ago and have really enjoyed my membership thus far! I do wish, however, that this location was open later on weeknights. After the night time rush is done, I can rarely get a full workout in because the gym closes up at 10. Also, the gym closes too early on the weekends (just tried to go at 6:30 on Saturday and the gym was closed!). A lot of the other locations are open 24 hours, so I don’t get why this one doesn’t stay open until at least midnight.
Love to go early n the morning and see a happy face. Great cust serv.
I’ve been going to this gym for a few months now and I have no complaints! This is the best gym I’ve ever joined. Everyone (including other gym-goers) is super friendly and welcoming. If you need help with anything, anyone is willing to help you. The atmosphere is great. That’s what originally drew me to this gym. The gym locker room is nice, clean and spacious. They have a great variety of machines. I’ve never had a problem parking. Yeah around 7 sometimes the parking lot gets crazy but people are constantly coming and going so you don’t have to wait long for a spot. The gym isn’t overcrowded which I especially love. I can still do my thing without having to wait. Plus, there’s a studio you can use to be alone when there’s no classes going on which is great too! All in all, love you Edge!
Joined shortly after they re-opened due to Covid. Upside - your usual gym equipment. Downside - place was absolutely packed with zero social distancing, people standing around with masks around their chin talking to each other, machines packed closely together, poor ventilation. Employees usually just standing around at the front desk and not enforcing masks on the floor.Felt super sketchy. Tried to contact their GM and he didn’t bother to respond. Also tried to cancel because they’re not following their own published Covid protocol, was sent a templated response saying I wasn’t eligible.Join Equinox in Greenwich if it’s in your budget. They actually care about maintaining appropriate Covid protocols. Feels much safer.
My partner went to edge fitness club in Greenwich and had a personal training session Complimentary. The trainer name is Robert Anderson he mentioned to my partner that he should get started for a flat rate of $365 for 30 minute sessions and only twice a week. While my partner was working out he decided that he no longer wanted the personal training at the club and the same day he signed up he decided to cancel the account and Robert mentioned that he was the manager & that he couldnt cancel the account. It took him about two hours to try and cancel the personal training. This is a very unprofessional place to work out. When I reached out to the Norwalk location they mentioned that he would be able to cancel the personal training. As my partner was on the phone with me he asks to speak with him privately. As we have declined the offer for more than an hour and half on the phone this trainer is refusing to cancel the account.
Clean, excellent equipment, friendly staff and reasonable membership costs.
If I could, I would give negative stars. It is unbelievable the way that I have been treated throughout this whole process. I moved to Trumbull in January and signed up at the Edge in Trumbull. I was not told it was a 2 year contract - my fault for not reading the 5 page report. Everyone else I know that belongs to the Edge has a 1 year contract. Anyways, turns out, I cant make it to the gym because of a medical condition I have. I have been trying to cancel this membership for about 2 months now. They explained I needed a medical note stating I am pretty much on my death bed to cancel my membership. Most gyms let you cancel as long as you pay a cancellation fee. Nope, not the Edge. I sent in a medical note from my doctor explaining that too much activity will cause me harm. They said it does not suffice since it doesnt say, I am terminally ill for the rest of my life. Can you believe that?! They want you to have a chronic disease and die before you can cancel your gym membership. Its totally worth paying extra to join a different gym that actually cares about their customers rather than their monthly payments.
I liked this place until I made a decision to stop my membership. It is a worst cancel process I ever had. I spoke with membership manager at the location, she told me to send a message to some email address and they will take care of that. However after I did it, I received response from them that I am not eligible to do it. I was a member more than a year. How Is it possible. So, I am still trying to do it. Do not suggest to sign membership with the EDGE. Better find some other company
Excellent!
My experience is wonderful here ! I feel I am more than just a member at a gym. The staff is welcoming and the atmosphere is motivating.Their strong classes are painfully enjoyable and pushes your limits ! I workout 5-6 times per week and not once have I had an issue. I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of trainers during classes but, I work more specifically with Jesse and he is absolutely phenomenal! He puts more into the training than it being just a job, he takes the time to figure out individuals at their own. He puts this rating to a 5 star ! With such a positive attitude and a plan, he can get you where you want to be !
Great place with lots of energy and everyone seems to get along; awesome staff!
Wi-fi sucks in greenwich edge. even being signed on as guest. ALWAYS a problem every time i go.
Organized. First day back since the Pandemic started.
The worse gym!!!! Don’t even think on join this gym ... he’ll noooo
Very unhappy. Please be aware that once you sign up, in order to cancel your membership is almost impossible. Even if you move out of state and there are absolutely no fitness clubs near you. They rip you off of your money and make you jump through hoops in order to stop your membership. Completely rediculous. It took me 6 months to cancel my membership. They make send emails and letters and you have to provide tons of proof to cancel. Complete nonsense. So before you sign up with them... Make sure you read the fine print.
Been going here for 5+ years and never a problem, always friendly staff!
Nice club but a little crowded for the times.
The reason I am giving 5 star rating is because of Jesse Mendoza. Hes a personal trainer at the Edge in Greenwich. Hes a rare breed. Ive had experiences with personal trainers in the past who could care less about you and more about getting paid (some of these experiences have been at the Edge). He made my friend and I feel comfortable and showed that he cared by checking up on us, talking about what to eat, etc. It also helps that he talked to us like humans. Safe to say that my friend and I, who trained with him together, have built a unique friendship with Jesse. Wed follow him anywhere. The gym in itself is a gym. Its got what you need. But what I think it needs more of, are people like Jesse Mendoza, working there.
I wish I can set 0 rating. The club is not bad. However cancelling process is really unfair. I am member for almost 2 years. Now I have a corporate gym and do not need to use this one, so wanted to cancel. They told me to email some other company, which answers me that I am not eligible to do it. And they gave me list with some conditions when I will be eligible to cancel my membership. Come on guys, I had a La Fitness membership. I cancelled just stoped by and notice them, and I was done. This guys will give you a hard time. So, my suggestion - just use another gym
This is a Great gym with very helpful staff especially personal trainer Jesse Mendoza. He is very helpful and is always willing to work with you so you can accomplish your goals. He will also keep checking up on you which shows that he is really determined to help you improve.
Its a good gym but parking can be a hassle. It all depends what time you go. However, I definitely recommend taking a boxing session with Jesse! He will definitely push you to the limit. I love it!
The gym is pretty small. I always see people cleaning the gym while I work out. The staff is not very friendly. They just sit around and chat. Overall the gym is worth checking out.
Came here from LA Fitness and have never looked back. The staff is super friendly and always willing to answer questions I have. The group classes are wonderful and youre encouraged to take things at your own pace while still challenging yourself.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. Equipment updates are always good. The reason I give 4 stars is because its a little expensive for how small it is. But overall great facility.
The gym itself is nice and you can work out well. Also the people in my location were very nice and helpful, BUT if you want to cancel the membership you have to call a hotline and talk to a computer voice. In this talk there is no way to cancel your membership so you have to send an email to this separate agency. It takes them about 3 days to answer. Youre only able to cancel your membership if your moving 15 miles away from all locations. If thats the fact you need to send them a proof with your new address (they show you some different ways). Its annoying and takes you so much more time than in other gyms Ive been a member before.
Id give them zero stars if possible. After literally spending thousands of dollars on personal training, I was given zero consideration when I cancelled 6 hours into my 30 day cancellation window and am being charged for an extra month. They are penny wise and pound foolish which equals bad business. I would never recommend any company that puts a dollar in front of a customer and I will make sure I let as many people as possible know about this issue. When I personally asked the manager for consideration he said I receive consideration via fitness and well being etc. Not a valid argument when you are describing the result of a service I paid a lot of money for. I should make clear, it is the business practice with which I have an issue, not the training.
Megan and Stefania were overly kind with their comments. Edge requires a month prepayment in addition to cancellation policy 30 days in advance on line. Which really adds up to 30 plus days. The employees could care less what you think. They show you a piece of paper that was signed a year or two ago and say that is policy!! Unbelievable, phone company, oil company, electric company, credit card companies ect all advise when terms change or you need to renewal. NOT THE EDGE. They installed a new tricky program with automatic renewal hoping client is not aware when contract expires. I ask you, do you know when your contract is up and what the cancellation policy actually is.? Additionally be aware there is a 20 plus percent increase with monthly automatic renewal. The club gets at least an extra month plus 20% increase. FYI the towels arent even close to quality Turkish towels. We all have a choice. Pay a little more, find a nice club, no burnt out lights, broken equipment, broken showers and without hidden charges.Be treated like a client not number.
They will give you a hard time with cancellation of the membership. They forward you to some third party company which tells you that you are not eligible to cancel your membership. Does not worth it to spend time for them.
It is not possible to cancell the membership. You have to deal with some other company which rejects your request and tells you that you are not eligible to cancel. Choose another gym better
Very clean Gym always polite
Feedback based on evening attendance:Challenging to find a parking spot. Valet is offered but even that is hard to get to. Parking lot is a crazy mess, with people parking literally anywhere they find space, even if its not an actual parking spot. Give yourself time to get to a class (30-45 minutes at least) .Some of the staff members have been largely unhelpful - mostly hanging out, chatting and on their cellphones. Classes are tight (they seem over booked). Equipment tends to be booked up. General feel is tight/congested.
I would give a 0 star if I could ..They are giving my mom a hard time to get out of the contact (Shes moved to another state).Just be aware or hire a lawyer. Its another corporate office you have to deal with.
My experience is always perfect. Alex is amazing and has been since day 1..love her. The rest of staff is super friendly and awesome as well.
In the process of canceling my membership. The Greenwich location is the busiest of locations and yet they cant seem to fix the Cyber leg press.
The equipment is very clean, employees are constantly walking around wiping everything down. Staff is very friendly.
Great gym!! Great price!! You dont to look elsewhere. And you are able to use all the other edge gyms in CT. Totally worth it.
I have been a member at The Edge for about eleven years now. I love this gym because they have terrific staff who is invested in helping you succeed in your goals, whether they include training for a 5k, a marathon, losing weight, or getting stronger. This isnt the gym for you if youre expecting to see models or meatheads. This is the gym for you if you are a real person who wants top notch equipment, fantastic trainers (I cant say enough fabulous things about Joshua Takacs--i almost didnt want to mention his name or hell get busier than he already is!) and friendly people on the treadmill next to you.
The staff is rude at times..i walked through the door and they seem a bit aggresive..they also do a lil bit of horseplay..i feel uncomfortable
Been here too many years now .Pros: Its in a good spot for where I work and live . By default it is cheaper than other places in the area and includes towels.Cons: in order of annoying me the most- I pay for towel service, often they dont have the small towels- it is a super tiny gym yet people hog machines and chat away and staff does nothing- there is no hot water sometimes, I know things happen but this is happening too often for a place people depend on showering- people treat the locker room like their living roomI know things come up, but the response is always too bad sorry. Never a offer for a shake or a water bottle as a token of sorry .If you are held hostage by this place because it is the only area gym for the price oh well, if you have any other option, go there~ update 2/5/19:first want to give credit that I do like the staff and they work hard given they are in an annoying situation with the ridiculous crowding.I emailed with customer care and they gave me a classic half hearted sorry you feel this way.A big annoyance Ive noticed a lot recently is even when it is super packed the personal trainers take up so much space .They run these large supersets (which I am all about ) but with limited space they spread out and use so much equipment. Maybe during peak hours be aware having 30 pieces of equipment and walkowa back and forth through the space might not be the best for everyone. Or at least have spatial awareness that you are not alone in the gym so others can work out.
When you try to cancel the gym they don’t let you cancel...
Staff act like they care about members, but in reality they dont. Ive made complaints in the pass, but they have disregarded every single one. This has been the worist gym i had to come to. I will be canceling the membership soon.
Great gym,love working out there
Caucasian guy by the name of mike was really rude. I pay a membership and don’t appreciate the attitude.
My experience has been really good, the place is comfortable and with all the equipments; also the trainers are good. Jesse Mendoza is good helping new people at the gym
Watch out for this edge fitness. If youre trying to cancel or stop your membership, they will tell you to call thier finance company the ABC fitness. And its so hard to cancel or stop the membership. They giving you a hard time. Even you advice them that you will cancell your membership, they will continue charging your card. Its not nice. Mr.Alex Fudor of edge fitness know that im cancelling my membership. But he didnt do anything or even advicing the edge fitness that im cancelling it. Still they let my card charged.
Im giving this review 5 stars solely on my experience with my personal trainer, Jesse M.I signed up at the Greenwich Location in April of this year because several people at my office had recommended it. I was at a point where I was really struggling to stay motivated to work out consistently, but knew that I needed a change. I paid for a year membership up front, so that I couldn’t talk myself out of it, and also agreed to do a 30 minute fitness assessment. My honest thoughts before attending the assessment were that it would be a walk around the gym and a sales pitch. What I got out of it was something far greater.Myself and my friend were paired up with Jesse M. for our assessment, and from day one we could tell how passionate and dedicated he was to fitness and seeing his clients reach their goals. We hadn’t even known him for 30 minutes and he was already pushing us out of our comfort zones. He was positive, friendly, and versatile. He really listened to our goals, and came up with a plan on the spot. After the initial 30-minute assessment, we were eager to sign up and decided to go for 30-minute sessions twice a week. While we were shocked with how expensive the pricing was (even for members), we still decided to go through with it because we were truly so impacted by the training Jesse gave us.In the 2 months to follow, we developed an awesome relationship with Jesse. He emails us regularly to check in and see how our diets are going. He listens to our needs and creates fun and challenging workouts for us. We genuinely get excited about coming to see him for training twice a week and talk about it for hours at work. We also leave the gym feeling like we’re on top of the world- truly happy and confident with ourselves. I’ve tried many different fitness classes before (personal training at a different location, crossfit, and group classes) and none of them have matched up or given me what I get when I work with Jesse. He is the reason I enjoy working out and also the most encouraging person even when I am not feeling confident. The overall facility is ok. It gets pretty crowded and the pricing/ charges are unclear. I wish the communication with members who are being charged was better.
Definitely the best Edge Ive been to so far. Great staff and environment!
Work with Jesse Mendoza if you want results...great gym for the price.
I want to say I totally disagree with Jeff Gaggins post there is nothing dirty about this gym, I shower and use the locker room every morning there as well as 2 of my coworkers, If this place was dirty we would have been the 1st too complain, and Ive gone at 5 am, 1pm and right after work and have never waited 45 minutes for parking. What he is doing in his post is sad. Hes been going to the gym for a month and he just noticed it was dirty thats his lie and deformation hoping to get out of his contract. You should be ashamed of yourself Jeff.
Ive been member at the Edge for almost a year. Im a big fan of spinning with Marlene on Wednesdays. It would be nice if there were more spin classes given in the morning at 5:15. Ive boxed and kickboxed for over four years now and continue to at the Edge with Jesse Mendoza. Jesses a stand up guy and extremely professional. I did not feel the slightest bit pressured and really feel hes a great trainer. James Reimer and Josh Takacs are also great guys and very happy to accommodate. Overall great gym with lots to offer. Would love to see a heavy bag at the gym and a speed bag too.
Parking situation is a nightmare - if you plan to work out between the hours of 5-7 find a new gym. you will drive in circles for hours just getting annoyed.
Small very cozyVery cleanI love the sauna
Awesome gym, great trainers! Very clean!
9-23 Update Norwalk gets brand new state of the art locker rooms. Greenwich gets nothing. Wait they repaved the parking lot again.....Great staff tries really hard but ownership considers this club as the unloved stepchild of the chain as while their other clubs get new cardio equipment regularly they ignore Greenwich. If you buy a membership make sure you dont go cheap. Get the one that gives you access to their better clubs like the Norwalk edge where they have received all brand new treadmills, brand new spin bikes and other great cardio gear. Also Danbury, Meriden Trumbull but for some reason Greenwich never gets the equipment.Staff cares and most are awesome. Alex, Matt, Josh are amazing. They do a great job but ownership sucks. They blame it on small size of the club but rather than capitalize on that and make it a boutiqe club they focus funds elsewhere. After 9+ years here I can say this is fact. Dont get me wrong the staff are non-pressure and great caring friendly people who want you to succeed but owners of the Edge fail to recognize their own failures. Thats a shame.
If you sign up for this club for a 12-month agreement and you decide that the club is NOT THE ONE FOR YOU (mold in the showers, dust and hair in the lockers) or the parking is terrible (you could be waiting for 30-45 minutes waiting for a spot) or for whatever reason, other than you moved more than 15 miles away or you have a doctors note, they will charge you for the full year. DO NOT SIGN UP unless you want to pay for the whole year. Also, after the year I heard that it is difficult to get rid off the renewal.
Hi, My name Is Jeimy Galán, I was an AU PAIR and I was in the gym but I came back to my country 5 month ago and I called off my account in the Greenwich, but I still receive message to pay my month, I sent a lot of email, and nobody has helped me. If you please can give me information I really thanks you, I talked with Mike kennedy and he told me everything was canceled before I came back.Im not in USA since april, please I AM NOT GOING TO PAY!
So I gave my new Amazon card to the gym guy and asked him to start charging my fees to Amazon. He did.Found today that Ive been billed on the old card and also on the Amazon card. A 98.00 overcharge. Double charge started on the day I gave him the new card.Gym manager says its my fault for renewing on the computer website. They will not reimburse.
The Club is high pressure on using personal trainers. The staff is OK except while on their cell phones continually updating their FB, Instagram and texting. For some unknown reason they only are allowed to have two channels on in the main GYM - on a Sunday when the games are on you are stuck watching infomercials. Parking can be an issue.
This is not the nicest of the Edge locations, it needs to be revamped it is lacking a lot of things that the other locations have. Workout machines and space are limited and cramped. The classes and studios are very small and always packed, its hard to reserve time at all. The stand up tanning machine is gross inside and I have never seen anyone clean it and it is a super low power model.
Words club I ever visit, so small and smell so bad, I wait for over 20 minutes just to get a guest pass activated, the worst customer services ever.
Excellent staff and spectacular trainers!
Always clean
While the gym is small and frustratingly crowded, the staff are refreshingly pleasant - especially Alex. It seems Alex has been there forever and any time Im annoyed with a situation on the floor or with my membership, shes the individual most likely to resolve my complaint.
They charged my account after being on a hold with no permission, totaling in love $200 in unauthorized charges.
Nice place to work out
Outstanding place. Very clean, friendly staff
Terrible staff customer service !
Trainers are rude.
They are the best!
Clean facility, friendly staff.
Smells horrible
Very nice you can breathe fresh air and enjoy nature
