It wasnt the answer I was hoping for but it was honest so I couldnt be happier. Oven is too old to justify what would be a costly repair and I was very appreciative that Austin was so honest.Overall experience was great. Called, booked appointment. They confirmed with email and photo of tech (Austin) the day before and even narrowed down the window of arrival. Received another email about 15 min before Austin arrived, again with another photo and number if I needed to call.Austin was knowledgeable, provided me with all the information I needed to make a decision. Hate that I gotta buy a new oven but have no doubts its the right way to go.

I was on the website trying to book a reservation when I noticed there was a $110 diagnosis fee if you did not use them for repair. I called the number for the Greenville SC location and asked a simple question.Would you charge me the $110 on top of the repair if I agreed to have the work done. In fact I asked the same question about 3-4 times. I could not get a straight answer. I know there will be a timely response to this review about not having a work order for me etc.. I got a notification that my call was being recorded so please please please go back and listen to the call and explain to me why she would not give me a clear answer in your response to the review. Called the phone number for the business in Greenville SC at approx: 7:27pm est 7/31/21. I asked to speak to a supervisor 3+ times before the lady finally agreed and transferred me to one. I got transferred to the supervisor and he told me within 30 seconds that the diagnosis fee would be waived if I had repairs completed with your company. I will update my review if I choose to progress with your company after this experience and if the work is done at a fair price and correctly.

Our experience started out great. It was easy to make an appointment. They sent a text with a specific time and name/photo of technician who would be coming to fix our dryer. I had a door error that wouldn’t allow my dryer to come on. He quoted me $415 or so to replace my door. He assured me it wasn’t my door switch. After reading online and checking it out myself, I called another repair company to check it out. He instantly diagnosed my problem as a $20 door switch, fixed it, and it has been running perfectly ever since. I am so glad I called another company because I was so close to replacing my washer and dryer so they would match. I reached out to the company first to let them know of my experience and their response was a joke. So beware! Get a second opinion before spending a lot of money.

Microwave door latch was preventing operation of the microwave cooking. Personnel replaced necessary items and unit was placed back in service. Their work was professional and very neat and careful.Original replacement components were damage in shipment to their shop and called to reschedule and they there ASAP after new parts arrived.I would recommend Mr. Appliance to anyone!Denis

Update: I spoke to the owner, Sean, today and this has been resolved -- changing my review to 5 stars based on the resolution. He explained that my scenario is a very rare one that they almost never encounter.I want to clarify for other customers, since it wasnt clear from my initial call with the scheduling agent, but was after speaking with the owner): the $110 trip/diagnostic fee is in addition to the dryer vent cleaning service fee. The $110 fee is only waived when there is a repair -- dryer vent cleaning is what they consider a service, not repair.Im happy to call Mr. Appliance for repair needs if/when that time comes due to the way this was resolved.---I called Mr. Appliance on Friday stating that my dryer smelled bad, and asked if this something that their company/technicians could help with — that I had zero idea what the cause could be. The woman on the phone said yes, and that the earliest time available was the following Monday. I was told there would be a $110 diagnostic fee that would only be charged if the technician diagnosed what needed to be done + we declined their services. Note: I repeated that back to her and she confirmed yes, that if we used Mr. Appliance to complete the service needed we would only be charged for the service - no $110 fee.Today was our appointment. The technician arrived and was in our laundry room for 5 minutes. Ran the dryer for a few seconds, said it was getting hot and was working, but the lint in the dryer vent was slightly damp - suggested we needed dryer vent cleaning. “professional dryer vent cleaning service” is a service they offer on their website. Come to find out the company only offers dryer vent cleaning if your home’s dryer vent is on the first floor - ours is on the second. He called his manager and asked if he could waive the $110 diagnostic fee since they are unable to deliver on this service (note: no where on the website’s dryer cleaning page is there an asterisk about only offering first level dry vent cleanings). After he got off the phone, he said he unfortunately had to charge the $110 trip fee and told me to call the owner, who’s name I won’t disclose, to ask to be reimbursed.I called Mr. Appliance’s main number after the technician left, and Courtney answered. She said the owner wasn’t in, but that she’s the Customer Service Manager, and she could help. I explained the situation to her — from Friday’s call to today’s technician visit. I told her we had every intention of using their services because we need our dryer fixed, but according to their own technician, they offer the service we need but since we’re on the second floor, they can’t complete it. She said “99.9% of the time, when a customer calls and says their dryer smells, it’s not a dryer vent cleaning service that’s needed - it’s a repair.” I told her that is the exact opposite of what the technician said. She was looking to see what she could do to resolve the $110 fee. She said the way the work order was put in on their end, we needed to pay today’s “trip fee” (the way the work order was put in is out of my control). Continued to look into what she could do. She said unfortunately since we are a first time customer, she can’t credit an old service charge back to us. She offered me a $25 off coupon to their sister company to have the vent cleaned. I asked if we could apply the $110 fee to that service, she said “no - $25 coupon is all I can do, do you want it?” She emailed me the coupon and I responded thank you and asked that the owner still please call me back. (Note: I am having to pay a new technician fee on top of the service charge for the sister company’s dryer vent cleaning — which I was referred to by Mr. Appliance due to this situation).I will follow-up with an update if this is resolved ($110 fee waived) by their company. Also want to note my initial call on Friday and today’s call after the service were on recorded lines, so all of the information shared above is recorded.

I appreciate the professionalism of office staff, scheduling, and the repairman who came to my home. Easy to work with. Luckily I rarely have needed to repair appliances, so I cant speak to relative pricing. Appliance repair always seems expensive to us. Ramon, the service tech, had to replace dishwasher motor and a valve, and also trouble-shooted a plumbing problem that was exacerbating our dishwasher situation, and also gave some good tips re operation of our unit, which I appreciated.

I would not recommend this company to fix Samsung Refrigerators at least. The guy they sent to my house ran the diagnostics and was having a hard time understanding the test itself. Had no idea what to do and was constantly calling for advice on the phone. Ordered a part to see if it will work. Of course it didnt and they deemed my refrigerator as unserviceable. So I call up Samsung, get a certified tech out and they have the problem diagnosed in about 10 mins. Returned, fixed the issue and my refrigerator was back up and running. The Samung tech told me the Mr Appliance repair man not only did not put all the screws back into the panel he took off but some screws were missing all together. Just terrible experience. I dont understand the 5 star rating if this is the job they perform.

I called Mr. Appliance yesterday afternoon to schedule an appointment to fix my sink disposal. They made my appointment for next-day, between 8am-10am. The technician, Austin, arrived at 8:15am and had the disposal fixed by 8:35am. He arrived wearing a mask and was very professional.Another thing that I really appreciated is that Mr. Appliance sent me a text message with the name and picture of the technician. This is an extremely important detail that made me feel safe.The service was really affordable and worth it. I would absolutely recommend.

Thank you Mr. Appliance. From start to finish, my request was handled professionally and on-time. I needed the springs and rope replaced on my Bosch dishwasher door. During my initial call to the dispatcher, Ashley was quick and easy. Within a few minutes, she answered my questions and zeroed in on my location. The appointment was set up for two days later. I received a text the day prior complete with a photo of the technician. I got a text notifying me that he was on his way. He arrived on-time. The work was done quickly. He even used a level to ensure the unit was reinstalled properly. He explained the cause of the problem and assurance that the OEM part I ordered was both correct and will last a good while. Had them out to repair a dishwasher. Service fee $110. was told it can be applied as a credit for the repair. diagnostic showed some leak rusted a value, was told I have to replace the washer. I asked if $110 can be applied as a credit. the answer is no, installation will be $250 to $500, which I think it is absurd.

Try scheduling with a different agency. First appointment was the end of the month. Called mr. Appliance they had a appointment for the next day. Called right back and said they had a cancellation and could see me today. They arrived in 20 minutes diagnosed and fix the problem in 30 minutes. Will definitely use them again.

I just moved to the area and needed repair on my ice maker. I found Mr. Appliance online. The office person I spoke to was very nice, and she was able to get me an appointment quickly. Overall we had a good experience. It did take almost a week for them to get us scheduled, but after having another company move the appointment, not showing up and then try to come by after we had cancelled the appointment, this was a great experience. I appreciated the text messages in advance of them arriving.Austin worked on our fridge. He was knowledgeable, clean, worked quickly, informative and very pleasant to work with, especially given the fact our fridge didn’t work.I’m not sure about their pricing, compared to others. More importantly they were on time, very through, and were able to provide options for repair.The most positive was they text me the day before, the morning of the appointment and the technician arrived in the time framed allotted. I requested home servicing of washing machine. The service person came on time and inspected for long with circuit diagrams. Finally mentioned transmission needs replacement. So better to go for new one. Later when I sold for a way low price, the seller inspected and mentioned, it was a switch problem, this is a cheap replacement. I lost inspection charges and also sold at a cheap price after ordering new one. Moreover, the service man didnt fit the machine back to original state. Atleast they were ok to send someone to fit it back, when complained.

When your fridge goes out you need it fixed immediately. When I called Mr. appliance they made an appointment for the very next day. The guy came out when he said he would. He had a look at things and decided what part he needed. He said it might take two or three days to get the part - in fact later that day we got a call that he wanted to make an appointment for a day later. I called Mr. Appliance of Greenville and they scheduled me an appointment right away. They were on time for the appointment, identified the problem quickly, and ordered the part needed for my washing machine. Pricing was extremely reasonable, as my machine was bought in 2009 and has been moved across the country. I received an email to schedule the appointment for the replacement part to be installed within an hour of when Ty left. When Ty came back to install the part he was fast and efficient. We had Sears on the schedule and they cancelled on me last minute. I called Mr. Appliance and they were able to fit me in for the next day. The technician (his name is Tye) came out early and fixed my washer in no time, and the cost was way less than what I was expecting it to be. I highly recommend and will use them again, for sure!

Mr. Appliance has been a great experience. Extremely well done customer service from office and scheduling to the Service Professionals who come to your house to inspect and then fix your appliance. I have used them for my dryer and most recently my washer. I am very pleased and recommend them whenever possible. Special thanks to Rocky and Mason for their excellent attitude, customer service, expertise and two jobs very well done.

Wonderful company, prompt so I wasn’t waiting all day, gave a reminder with picture of our professional and was a great price for the service. Our guy Mason was nice, courteous, knowledgeable, let us know what the situation was and fixed it right the first time. I would highly recommend this service and use again.
