April 27 we reported damage to condo from A1 Landscaping. We waited until June 7 for repair. Cara then promised that NHE would send repair person and bill them. Today is July 1 and now we are being sent back to A1 Landscaping to continue to fight for the repair. Just saying, never had these problems when we were in a neighborhood managed by Charlene Rice and HOA Community Mgmt. I recommend that you research before signing your community up with any company.

Our neighborhood is going south and this management group (and Kayla Taylor) is the catalyst. I have faithfully paid dues for 18 years and what do I have to show for the investment? Nothing. They are unresponsive in every way and I will be lucky to sell my home for what it is worth with all of the nonsense that has gone down since they took over the management of our HOA. Under this companys watch, the neighborhood has degraded precipitously with no recovery in sight. Bush League management👎👎👎Note: No one wishes to hear from an insincere owner on how they can fix the problem. I will NOT call again since I have already with no response. Just do your @#$%^& job, you parasites!

I lived at Waterleaf in Murrells Inlet for 2 years. It was a terrible experience. I expected luxury because that is how it is advertised and priced. You can here every noise all your neighbors make, if your neighbor’s dog gets fleas you get fleas, nosiest group of people that ever lived, live there (they will be there forever), and don’t ever expect anything to be fixed. Instead expect the entire staff to dismiss you over problems repeatedly and be extremely disrespectful every time you speak to them. My husband is handy, had to fix problems on his own and occasionally lend the maintenance team tools. The maintenance guy flooded my apartment and gave me shower one day, then laughed about it. When I called the manager she yelled at me so bad, I had a panic attack. To get you locked into a lease these managers are great at customer service, but once you are obligated to pay, all those customer service skills dive into the deep end of the ocean. Courtney Hewlett and Bridgette have no respect for any of the residences that pay their salaries. I have never been so happy to be out of a place in my 35 years of life. Also this place has a huge mold problem and the staff is currently blaming it on the residents (for raising their windows?). I would truly recommend finding another apartment, house, or condo as long as it’s not managed by this company. BEWARE OF THE KINDNESS WHEN YOU APPLY OR TAKE A TOUR. I never felt like this was a home and I was constantly on edge and worrying. We had a $250 electric bill for 3 solid months for a 3 bedroom 1164 square foot apartment. I asked some of my neighbors and they showed me their electric bill, same size apartment, it was $140, I knew something was wrong. Courtney sent maintenance out 3 times, she kept dismissing me telling me it was the heat, then why is my neighbor’s bill $100+ lower than mine. So my husband figured out something was wrong with our hot water heater, gave maintenance the tools to prove it and fix it, one of our heating elements was unplugged, they laughed at us about that. The next month my electric bill was $100 cheaper (August, hottest month). I told Courtney and showed her, she told me to contact my renters insurance, I laughed because renters insurance doesn’t cover a management company’s ignorance.

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM ANY PROPERTY OWNED BY THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE UNFAIR, UNRESPONSIVE AND VERY CONTROLLING. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS GETTING THE RENT ON TIME. HOWEVER, I HAVE HAD A BROKEN TOILET AND NON-WORKING MICROWAVE FOR 3 MONTHS. THEY HAVE EXTREME RESTRICTIONS TO AMENITIES. THE POOL IS CLOSED MORE THAN IT IS OPEN, AND IT IS ONLY OPEN WHEN IT IS CONVENIENT FOR THE OFFICE HOURS. ITS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS, ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I HAVE BEEN AT THE SAME APARTMENT FOR OVER 5 YEARS AND HAVE SEEN SEVERAL OWNERS BUT THESE GUYS ARE THE WORST!! DO NOT LIVE ANYWHERE OWNED BY NHE, Inc.

Would absolutely NOT recommend. Very poor insight into solving problems. Odd but consistent hostile tone in all communications. Fear of technology based solutions.They dont steal money and can do fairly good accounting- but you are best not paying for anything more than that.

If I could give NHE zero stars, I would. Local management at Crescent Park Commons is awful and they ignore your complaints because they dont seem to care. And then they dont renew your lease, how convenient. And then they sent you a letter that they have received our request to vacate (which we never sent obviously, as the lease would not be renewed). Smells like cover your back tactics by blatantly lying. And the construction going on for months is annoying. And so on.This place has terrible ratings for a reason. Be warned!

I rarely write reviews....Positives:- I get the 4x3 bit of grass cut in my back yard- We got roof repairs after a storm (which my insurance would cover anyhow)- We have a pool! (with very strict, highly enforced rules---unlike anything else)- Nice lighting on the main street!Negatives:-Cannot park in front of my OWN home (without a barge of threatening emails to the entire community and revamping of rules--but only for parking)- Zero control of persons in the neighborhood (i.e. neighbor blasting music/bass loudly all day (with shared walls in a townhouse)).- The pool, parking and dog feces pickup is regulated more that the actual homeowners!!- No communication between the staff--have to send the same stuff to different people!-No lights in the back (where you are forced to park or get fined or towed-- 20+ cars were broken into recently, thanks!! None of which was addressed by NHE)I am grateful for this experience. This has been the most miserable 2 years living in this community. Moving forward, if I see that NHE runs the HOA I will 100% not chose a location, solely based off of that. I do not want anyone to contact me for anything. Just do a better job at regulating your homeowners, the end! CLEARLY there is an issue.

If I could give a negative rating to this company I would do. I have been owning a house for 14 months in a community under their management. Never heard from them, never received a single letter from them except the HOA fees!! They keepSending updates to some owners while others hear nothing from them. We called several times asking them to include us on their list of communication and never happened. They decided to open the pool this summer and we didn’t know except from seeing people going in. We knew by coincidence from neighbors that they closed it 2 weeks later and we were not notified. I went today to the pool and figured out my fobes are not allowing me in simply because they sent a form to the owners to sign and I never received any so they deactivated my fob without letting me know. Guys you neeed to learn how to do business and respect people that pay your salaries

I would have to say for several months have called no call backs until I called front desk lady an she had to put me straight through so many times I had to go pick application up turned in applying and the fee was told Friday get a call back nothing lady said clearly was two apartments available but this man hasnt brought holding fee so its Tuesday and nothing after you said clearly if man did bring wouldnt take fee the property manager now its against the law to have available units an not rent due to race family status this is insane I left message with regional manager not a call back yet look at these review company the people are saying the same thing unacceptable an I would have rated zero but thanks for the front desk lady at company

Since moving into my second apartment at River Ridge I have nothing but negative things to say about the leasing staff.. My first apartment stunk of cat urine. The second apartment was above a dog that suffered from separation anxiety. The leasing staff heard the dog while they were inspecting the unit diagonally above it, but sided with the dogs owner who claimed that it wasnt her dog. I had to provide them with photos of the dog walker walking the dog in the owners absence, even though they clearly heard the dog. We spoke about it while they were on the top of the stairs between my apartment and the apartment next door. Refusing to handle the situation I was told to call animal control. Dont live in River Ridge. Your right to quiet enjoyment as mentioned in the lease will not be enforced,

They manage this property. And from the reviews here seems to fit.I had to change my review once moving in. The people who work here are fantastic but the people who live here are just make living here the worst. If you are looking for a frat house move here. If you have families and kids stay far far away. I have had multiple issues here from people passing out drunk with puke all over them selves, to the smell of cigarettes and weed everywhere.The pool experience is what sets me off the most. I bring my kids there (6) and (11) and when it’s other families it’s fine. However when the younger crowd comes out they fill the pool area with alcohol, cans everywhere... (not permitted) they play disgusting music filled with sex and swearing in front of my children. They throw foot balls and balls without consideration of the kiddos. One little girl was hit in the head pretty hard because some drunk idiot was being careless. Unfortunately there is nothing the staff can do as most of this stuff happens after hours. They have tried. They have given notices. And all the people do is laugh. Including in that local law enforcement who live in here who are also acting like fools. If you are even considering this place I would not live here. At the most expensive place in rock hill you would assume people would have some manners and respect. Nope. This company failed to provide basic rental service. My washer dryer was not working for a month. The company ignored my maintenance requests dozens of times. Repeatedly told me they would fix my dryer but didnt. When my dryer was finally fixed they failed to accept responsibility or provide any sort of compensation for my trouble.

No one has any real interest in the property thats being managed, its all about rental increases and collecting for utilities that are collected every month, but only paid quarterly. Go figure!!! Buy your own home. Stop allowing the rats and roaches to take your money for something that youll never own. Nhe is nothing more than a slumlord, who dresses it up as a business. Moldy apts, poor maintenance and a property manager that never knows anything. Hell, theyre all full of coffee and cow dung. Continuing to increase rent, but not using that money to benefit the property or its tenants.

Worst company, ever. They also hire people who are uneducated to write the letters to the homeowners. These letters are harsh, threatening and in no way professional. A good chunk of the drama from the neighbors and the HOA is because of poor writing skills. Yet, whenever I call them out on it, I am told that they know what theyre doing. Yes, they really know what theyre doing so well that every time there is a meeting, it goes so wrong that the police are almost called. These meetings are worse than a Jerry Springer show. The board members scream at the homeowners, when they are losing an argument as well.They dont enforce the laws for everyone, only select people they single out. They discriminate against only certain people too. I am not speaking about race or religion, they specifically target the people the board members do not like. They create meetings last minute and wait to tell you a week beforehand, so that most of the homeowners cannot come. They do this so that they dont meet the amount of votes to veto their decision. This allows them to keep making poor choices that the homeowners are against and theyre not open to holding these meetings on the weekends, when the homeowners are home to come to them.The biggest issue I had was last year whenever the retaining wall in our community broke. It was supposed to fall under the insurance of the HOA but they claim that the insurance denied their request. So, without asking the homeowners or holding a meeting, they took out a big loan of about $100,000 to fix the wall and the pool. Then they sent every homeowner a bill for $200, to pay for this loan. They had a meeting after the fact so say oh well, its already done. It caused a huge uproar and people invested in hiring a lawyer, who said it would cost too much money to fight. They got away with their scam because nobody had 20,000 to hire a lawyer. They knew what they were doing and they did not care.The people in charge do not even live in your neighborhood. Cathy Bolick, who is in charge of ours, has no clue as to what is going on but is the one putting her name on everything. I do not think that is right and she is doing a poor job of running the HOA. I spoke with her directly about it and she puts the blame on the board members and told me I voted them in. Well, I moved in after they were voted in so no, I did not pick them. Ive been to several neighbors meetings about getting rid of the current board members but they failed. Getting rid of current board members are not easy!! Its way to corrupt. If I wasnt stuck in my home for 2 years, I would be moving out.The best part, was when they say the homeowners are the reason for declining property values. Hmm, lets look at the stupid signs they put up saying the convents are strictly enforced. Nobody wants to live in a neighborhood where the HOA is that strict or nasty. Those signs are a big deterrent and same with the no parking signs. These signs again, were paid for out of the budget from our HOA fees and was never discussed with homeowners. This also caused another huge argument between the HOA and homeowners.When it is all said and done, the NHE is awful. Our community tried to get rid of them, with no luck. It would take a lawyer and a lot of money for it to happen, sadly. They are a very uneducated and unprofessional company. They are sneaky and liars. Read the reviews, the proof is right there. As soon as our 2 years are up, we are moving far away from any HOA. Also, our neighborhood has a huge turnover rate of neighbors. That is also a red flag that they are not a good management company.

Do not go to any apartments owned by NHE! They are the worst company Ive had the displeasure of dealing with personally. Their property manager harassed us for months and despite a lawyer, insurance company, and another management company telling us (and writing formal letters telling them) that they were in the wrong the harassment continued. Whats worse is despite the illegal practices going on NHE defended their manager. They told us that they were pretty sure that we were wrong and would review the case and get back to us; that was 7 months ago with no return call.

The office is only open 3 days a week!!! When someone returned my call she made excuses and was extremely defensive!!!! I spoke with someone at NHE and they forwarded me to someone else, I got a voicemail and no return call that I asked for. It seems very unprofessional to run a business like this!!!!!

I recently moved into a new townhouse development with NHE as the homeowners association. I have tried to contact them via phone and have been forwarded to a voicemail system each time; Ive left them several voice messages from October until now, each time requesting that someone call me back with no response from them. The single time I was able to reach someone over the phone, their only response to my concerns was that Id get a welcome packet in the mail that contained all the information I needed. Ive never received a welcome packet or documents of any sort that list what services Im paying for each month after living there for 2.5 months. In addition to what appears to be a complete lack of interest in customer service, I received a bill in the mail this week that was supposedly due last month that lists a $200+ charge in addition to the monthly regime fee as well as interest on the overdue charges. I find it completely ridiculous that I am being charged interest on past due charges when the bill wasnt even delivered until after the due date AND that Im being charged beyond the monthly regime fee for services I have yet to receive. My neighbors and I are very frustrated with this company - no one knows what our monthly regime fees are even covering. I am very disappointed that this is who my builder has chosen for our HOA due to their significant lack of professionalism and customer service.
