Do not do business with them. They claim to have 100% guarantee on their work however they will never show up afterwards to guarantee that work. I have had my business re-keyed & to get Do Not Duplicate by Higgins for over $600The front door since then has had issues locking..twice. He came out once to “fix it” and it broke a few days ago. He was supposed to come out today and never showed or responded to text after saying he was on his way. This company is a joke and the will give the biggest run around. 1 month later, still waiting on keys & lock is still broken. What a waste of money and time.

Called this guy up today and he came really quick and fixed the problem in like 5 mins. He was also my lowest quote- not by much but still, he did a great job for a good price! Thank you!!

Terrible customer service. Failed to show when promised and didnt respond when asked when they would show. Found someone much less expensive that showed as promised.

I lost the only set of keys I had for my 2005 Toyota. Higgins came to my house, supplied OEM blank and created new master key for me for less than half the price the dealership was going to charge. Very impressed with their expertise. Definitely will use for all of my lock needs moving forward.

I was supposed to have my car worked on because my car wouldnt come on. this guy flattened my tires because im elderly and i couldnt get to the door in time, then said it was my own problem and that i have to fix it. i wouldnt recommend this service to anyone .If i could give them 0 stars i would.

Do not use them. I can’t turn a key after their work and the lock is now useless. Tried multiple times to give him a chance to fix it and he promised he would. He also “guaranteed” his work.

My vehicle got locked with the key in the ignition running. I gave Higgins a call and he was there about 40 minutes later, which is good considering where I live. Had the car open and under a minute and I was ready to go. I asked him about making a new key with buttons and he cut me a great deal since I had already paid for a lockout. Met up with him later in the afternoon and he had me a new key ready to go in about 10 minutes. I will use home for any future locksmithing needs I would recommend him to anyone else.

Was locked out of my apartment and was waiting in my car with my two young children on the man to finish one job and call back. When I called back, he did not care to answer the phone and my children and I were left outside and had to go rush down to a nearby hotel to stay the night. How rude and unprofessional.

I paid him money for a key an he never showed back up

I had higgins to install all new locks on my house, I can only compliment the work they done for it looks so good. Chris the owner/locksmith done the job personally and is a great locksmith with great personality, I would recommend them any day and they are my locksmith at home and the property i manage now.

I was locked out of my safe at work and this is only company that wasnt charging double for thanksgiving day, they were there in no time and had me in my safe quickly, the gentleman was top notch and done awesome work. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I ordered a new key for my car called this guy to program and cut my new key for my car I was at work so I put the money in the mailbox and he called me when he got to my mother n law house ( she was there ) he sent me a pic of my new key and stated oh his machine couldnt cut my key because it was to thick....stated he would come back to fix it the next day...gave me the run around all week.....im now getting the police involve and do plan on taking him to small claims court....see what he didnt know is my family has money and a GREAT family lawyer im now about to pay for another key....STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!!!

Chris is disrespectful and unprofessional. Refused to give me my keys back. Stay bringing up 30 days but he stood me up certain times until this day. If he doesn’t complete your service and give you your keys within 30 days he steals them basically. The building is never open to discuss business matters and his employees quits on him apparently lol... that must means something. Such a joke. Terrible business.

I have used Higgins for many years .Everytime I have needed them rather it for being for my business or personal use they have always been amazing.I recently had to get a key made for my vehicle and the Locksmith had it completed in no time.I had no complaints because the key worked the first time the Locksmith tried it in my car.Not long ago I had to change all my locks at my home and the quality of the work was great and the prices were reasonable.I recommend using Higgins for all your lock need.The locksmith is highly educated and very professional.No matter what time of the day or night I have needed their service they always were there and always very friendly and helpful.

My fiance got locked out of the car with one of our dogs inside because our fur baby stepped on the lock button. I went to the shop & brought my own keys from an online retailers. These were both high security keys & as a former locksmith I know a thing or 2 about keys as routinely program them for my customers. This guys has inferior equipment & does not know how to operate a high security keys machine to get an accurate cut. He told me that my 09 Honda Oddessy was gonna get cut from a dealership buddy but never called me back with the key blank or a freshly cut key. My wife 18 Ford escape key he messed up but said that he would replace for free if it didnt work & never got that call either. Stealing from customers & not replacing damage that you caused is the definition of a crook to me.Dont use this shop!!!!!

I went to the address given on Maps and the building was empty. Higgins Lock and Key at 2418 Battleground Ave GSO NC had a For Lease sign in the window. I kept driving. Unless there is a rear entrance, they are not there.Tue Sept 1, 2020 - OMG! I got a response from ”the owner ” and their comment was very rude. Blaming me for the address GOOGLE has. And basically stating that I need to get my facts straight before I leave a review. I said nothing about Higgins service just that the address given was incorrect. But because of their response, I will not even attempt to use their services in the future.

Not the best experience. Spent over an hour at their shop (2 trips at that) and ended up with nothing accomplished. When their key cutting machine broke the bit it dug into my key too far and ruined it. Said they would replace it and recut when their new key blanks came in. Never got a call back - feel they owe me at least what I paid for the blank. When they tried reprogramming my remote their software wasnt current so a no go on that too. Ended up having to go elsewhere.Edit after response: I read your signs. I was planning on getting the keys recut but no call back, no business. After reading all your reviews YOU need help on customer relations.

Avoid at all costs. Had them cut a key off a lock cylinder for a classic car brought to us by a customer. Took them close to a week to get the key back to us, and we still havent received the lock cylinder back at all. Now this alone would warrent a 1 star from me, but the continually give us a run-around on when they will drop it off. Communication is spotty, and dishonest at best.

I have used Higgins since the early 80s for cars, homes, etc.. he is a UNC fan, but other than that :-) great communication, keeps you posted on ETA, 1 deadbolt install and 3 residential locks re-keyed in less than 1/2 hour after arrival, efficient work and very reasonable pricing..cant beat it!

My husband and I went to Higgins to get new keys cut. We had purchased a new computer for our car and had two keys that were pre=programmed for the computer. The young man cutting the keys cut one key wrong. The bad key will work in the ignition switch only in one direction and will not unlock doors. Higgins refuses to replace the key because it did not come from his shop. His remedy was to spray lock lubricant in the door lock, not knowing as to whether the lubricant was a Ford Motor Company approved product, I refused. They blame me for their mistake. They will never have any of my business again, bad attitude.
