I am always greeted with a smile and very curtious. I have never had any complaints. My main reason for this membership is to tan for less than the cost of other tanning salons and all the other equipment is just an added bonus for me. Being able to take a friend when I go work out, makes it a fun place to go! Definitely recommend to everyone!
Been going to planet fitness but cancelled my membership the end of 2019. As it would happen. The pandemic hit and I gained even more weight. After they finally opened the gyms back up, I once again got a membership to this planet fitness. Yesterday was my first day back and it’s like I never left. The 2 ppl at the counter are so sweet and kind. He helped me set up my planet fitness app and made me feel comfortable. Feels like home. Thank you for being with me as I tackle a healthier lifestyle.

Kennedy at the front desk was so nice and welcoming! she helped my mother and I get a membership at this Planet Fitness and were happy to have joined. The location is kept clean and there are sanitation stations throughout the gym which is very important to us. Excited to start going :)
I just wrote about how I love the one on battleground; the staff is amazing and it’s just a nicer set up than the one on Market. Haven’t been as much lately bc I am Recovering from an eating disorder that has caused a hernia and other permanent damage to my pelvic floor and digestive system, and I’m at my lowest weight in a while. But I know if I asked them to they would tell me when a time limit has been reached etc. I miss my gym time!
I never have a problem whenever Im at Planet fitness trying to improve myself not just physical but mentally as well. I say this because even after a rough day at work I still feel motivated and eager to better myself when Im around the environment. Ive gone to Planet Fitness locations for about 7 or 8 years. The staff is friendly and helpful, the members are always nice. The new Gate City Blvd location is much closer to me. The locker room configuration is much better that of W. Market St, which has too few benches for the number of lockers. I think there should be one more machine for flys & delts. The single machine at Gate City Blvd is hard to get on. Overall, nice set-up!
I joined PF in 2019 and it has been the best decision Ive ever made. From the moment I walked into the gym, Lauren focused on my fitness goals and tailored a workout program that wasnt too strenuous but still allowed me to lose weight. Since I started, I have lost a combined total of 30 pounds! The clauses she teaches are awesome and she is very encouraging! Im so glad I signed up!

Had a membership for a full year for $100. Was told I would be able renew at that cost in the future. My membership ran out and no one told me for over a month while I was still allowed to use the gym. One day they come up and me in the middle of my workout and told me I couldnt finish my workout unless I got an entirely new membership that day. I had ran to the gym that day so I couldnt
I travel for work which is why I have a pf membership in the first place. For some reason, the Greensboro locations are some of the worst I have attended. Especially the west market location! The staff, which is always changing, is consistently unfriendly. Only location in the nation where I have to ask the staff how they are doing upon check in. On top of that, they have a ton of equipment that is either broken or has been put back together incorrectly. Also the amount of trash in the parking lot is insane. Every car has some sort of trash sitting outside of the drivers door. Maybe its just the section of town its in but def try to avoid this location if possible. Battleground location is the most on par with the rest of the pfs I have attended.
I am so disappointed and discouraged to ever go back to the gym after having to do with planet fitness June 16th last month I was drafted $23 and however much change it was for my monthly black card membership on June 28th for some reason that money got refunded to my account Im getting ready to leave the country so I was going to cancel my membership for this month because Ill be away for a whole month somehow I ended up getting charged with a $15 late fee so Im owing them $38 unable to cancel my account because I have a pending payment I get online to pay the $38 that I owe this past Monday on Tuesday the month still hasnt been drafted out Im leaving next Wednesday I show up to planet fitness that afternoon with cash and money on my debit card with every intention to pay the $38 they inform me they are unable to take my payment unable to cancel my account until its paid in full and let me know that Im also going to be charged another $23 for the July membership and now here it is Friday and you guys havent charged me for anything my account hasnt been canceled Im getting ready to leave I barely have time to deal with this because I have a job and children and a busy life Im literally begging to cancel my account and begging to pay my balance and they wont take it what happened to no commitment? How am I supposed to walk away from the country knowing that I still have this commitment with these people even though I tried to do the right thing and cancel it and pay off what I owe now Im having to pay even extra money but you guys dont want to take it out of my account.The worst communication no attempt to help me at all still trying to pay you my money dont want to let me cancel it what happened to no commitment? I cant emphasize that enough if I could give you less Stars than one I would.
Make you pay for a mask and service is slow and lunk alarm goes off way too much it gets annoying and they are the only place where the machines don’t accept my apple pay and asian lady at the front is not helpful
Always an amazing workout. Quiet as usual. Friendly staff. Social distancing practices are followed by everyone and mask are worn. Cleaning practices was observed being followed by everyone. Staff walked around throughout the gym to ensure compliance. Although everyone was following the rules voluntarily. I enjoy my black card membership.
Wish everyone would wear a mask as required. Its disheartening to see folks with theirs pulled below noses & mouths.
So many upgraded machines. The hydromassage area is separate from the gym and is so much more relaxing because the noise from the gym is gone

But the staff do their best to accommodate the cavemen...Would recommend just make it clear you don’t want anyone near you and you’re good !Gotta just stand your ground
Good planet fitness havent been to one where I saw so many people chatting in the locker rooms had a real community vibe.. I left my phone on the bench whe. I went to take a shower and someone picked it up and dropped it off at the front desk I thought that was extremely kind.I noticed I couldnt find my phone when I finished drying off and was ready to leave so I searched everywhere that I had been and couldnt find it. I saw an employee cleaning the locker room and asked him if anyone had turned in a phone he said he wasnt sure and but it could possibly be at the front desk.So I checked the locker room again just to be sure.When I went to the front desk he was there again and I asked him did you know if someone did happen to turn in my phone he said no....And Im like aww man someone must have stolen my device... so I intensely checked the locker room again to no avail. And concluded that my device was stolen. Im not from the area so I before leaving I went to the front desk to inform them I lost my cell phone in the locker room and to ask for directions to where I was headed because I had a gig and like 30 minutes before set up time the same dude was standing there as well as someone else. And naturally feeling annoyed I asked the other employee and as soon as he heard me say I lost my phone he said what kind of phone was it?? And I described it to him and he went right to the drawer and said someone turned this in an hour ago.Thanks again bro!I took off a star for the other guy.... he never even checked.
If your just startingout on your fitness journey this is the place to begin...very clean..good equipment..someone to teach you how to use the gym corrctly.
Not and even balanced staff. Some are rude while others are seemingly pleasant. I went to reserve a water bed and I was ignored with 3 ladies behind the counter. 1 young lady (blonde haired) was helping someone as the other two walked away. (Not even checking their surroundings). Then a patron grabbed a drink right after the blonde finished helping the other patrons and attempted to ignore me until I said excuse me. Then instead of a “proper greeting” she respond with “what’s up”. Very unprofessional. Had I not said excuse, I would have continued to be ignored. I do not like being treated like I don’t exist where I PAY a monthly membership. It is highly unacceptable, and I will find and contact the franchise owner of this establishment.
During COVID-19 they are clean friendly, and amazing. The ladies up front a very nice and they look really happy. Thank you for being open! Excellent services!!

I would rate it lower if I could. This Planet Fitness requires people to wear masks while they are working out. Other Planet Fitnesses around the country only require mask wearing while not working out. This facility’s policy is ignorant because it has a tendency to restrict one’s breathing while working out.
Its an alright place to work out. They equipment is all new and well-maintained and the facilities (locker rooms, restrooms) are clean. Their mantra is judgement free zone, and they hold themselves to that unless you drop a weight or grunt a little while lifting. At that point, youre labeled a lunk, and they flip a switch to sound the lunk alarm which you can probably guess is a loud alarm (the entire gym can hear) they use to single people out.(Ive never been labeled a lunk, personally, and while it doesnt go off very often its still seems a bit over-the-top to single people out instead of politely pulling someone to the side and asking them to change the behavior in question)

Unfortunately while their gym is nice. They have a thief on the loose and the staff and management are aware of it. Their failure to alert patrons of a string of recent and frequent theft at not just this location but at all of the Greensboro Planet Fitness locations is a failure of the staff, management, and franchise owner(s) and one that cost me $350 while I was showering post workout yesterday. This theft is one that hurts me deeper than money because it may cost me the ability to afford to pay for the visit with my son this week and next. I am beyond saddened by the irresponsibility of this gym.
The agreement that we sign at taking membership states both the monthly fee due date and the annual fee due date .So when I call the employee at West market street location at Greensboro NC . I Inquire about membership cancellation they remind me to cancel it before 10th December 2020 so as to avoid the next monthly payout of $10 on 17th December 2020 and The lady Doesnt assume for me to know my monthly payout date and tells me about it BUT ON CONTRARY SHE ASSUMES ME TO KNOW MY DATE OF ANNUAL FEE PAYOUT OF 1ST DEC AND NOT REMIND ME ABOUT IT EVEN AFTER ASKING ABOUT ALL PAYMENTS DYE COMING UP.SO she doesnt remind me the payment of 1st dec of $39 annual fees and cancel before 1st December 2020 of it even on asking . She just reminds me of the monthly payout of $10 on 17th December and cancel before 10th December.EVERY PENNY COUNTS ALWAYS AND SPECIALLY IN COVID SITUATIONS OUTSIDETHEY CHEAT THEIR CUSTOMERS ON BASIS OF THE AGREEMENTS THAT YOU SIGN WHILE SIGNING UP WITH THEM. So when I saw a deduction of $10 by them dated Nov 17th 2020 I have them a call to them on 24th Nov 2020 when I got to know about this after checking my bank statement . So the lady says maam that facility of freezing ur account was for 2 months only (60days) so I said where is it mentioned in ur primary email or anywhere . She has NO IDEA.She said thats nonrefundable. Terrible customer service. The staff constantly interrupts my workout asking me to download an app or follow rules that are not posted anywhere in the gym. These rules or downloading the app was not mentioned when asking for payment. Also, terrible communication between staff members. Ive had the same conversation time and time again because I spoke to someone else.
I would like to comment on the outstanding asistance provided by your staff member Caitlin. I started experiencing severe abdominal cramping after an exercise performed. Caitlin immediately came over, asked if she could call an ambulance, and gave sincere attention to my health dilemma. Thank you again Caitlin for being so caring and professional!!!! She is definitely an OUTSTANDING asset to the Planet Fitness team!!!
Folks are nice and the place is clean. On the other hand, broken equipment seems to pretty much stay broken.The largest negative issue for me is that there are a number of patrons of the club who will consistently stay 20-30 minutes on a single piece of equipment. When there are only one or two of those machines in the building (or there are two and one is broken), it pretty much keeps everyone else off the equipment.At other gyms (and other Planet Fitness locations), there is an employee or trainer keeping track of the floor that will ask folks to move on so that others can get their workout in. It would greatly enhance the experience if that took place here as well.

He seriously keeps up with the place and is always ready to help someone out. Overall this place is a great environment.

Ive been a member of the gym from the time it opened. I enjoy going to the gym and plan to continue. However, I do have one complaint. Recently Ive expierenced some behavior from other members that is very frustrating. As you know certain machines are more popular than others. The issue arises when members occupy a machine and talk or text on there phone. It would be a nice gesture from management if all members could be informed that other members could be waiting.
Very friendly staff and no one judges you. I was never a gym person all my life with the fear of being judged by someone, with planet fitness it is very different they make you feel confident and just focus on your workouts. Recommend it!!Grab it when you have discounts at this place🤟
Great staff at Planet Fitness on West Market Street I enjoy entering the doors. They are always so friendly and on top of these. If your looking for a gym I highly recommend this gym I’ve been with them since 2013 and I have never had a complaint with them.
Nice large open facility. They have decent equipment but the staff are awful. Extremely unprofessional and unconcerned with member needs. They hardly ever acknowledge me when I come in let alone when Im requesting a hydro massage bed. I will be cancelling my membership and joining Golds. The service there is impeccable and certainly worth the extra money!
For the price you cant beat it! Its clean; the staff are friendly; the equipment is varied, easy to use and plentiful. The locker rooms and showers are nice and even the over-the-counter cost of extras like water bottles and head phones are reasonable. I have 3 issues, though: 1: I cant bring my well-behaved 12-year old in. 2: there are not enough stretching mats. And 3: there is no stability bar in the handicapped shower (I am cane-dependent). Otherwise, Im thrilled!

Definitely not enough benches/free weights for the amount of gym members. They’re always adding members and never any equipment. Obviously that creates a shortage of equipment. Hard to get a spot to lift weights between 4:30 and 8:30 in the evenings. I use my membership for tanning and workout elsewhere.

How can you beat $10/month! The place is never crowded when I go at lunch (around 1 p.m.). The staff is friendly and the place is very clean. A wide variety of machines, both cardio and lifting, as well as free weights. A nice place.

From out of town, dropped into this gym today. Assistant Manager Chantel was extremely helpful and went above and beyond in answering questions for me. Enjoyed the gym and machines were accessible, not over crowded.

This is a good gym for the most part. It can get really busy after 5pm Monday-Thursday, but I still havent had too much trouble finding a treadmill or weight machine. Most of the people who go are pretty friendly and polite, which is a plus, and they have a lot of classes/programs if youre looking for something more structured. The staff is okay - Ive noticed that employees are either really genuine or really fake, without many in between. Overall, Im content with it.

Bad first impressionsSo my brother originally got involved with this gym and encouraged me to do the same. Ive heard that this gym is very affordable and nice. So I get there and it was packed. Kind of a good sign. Very clean and orderly. Get to the desk and a girl I will call Jess greeted me. In short she was very dry and short, almost bothered by me inquiring about the gym. Automatically assumed I knew all about the membership and the gym. Granted Im used to the Rush and Golds Gym where the desk clerks are true sales people and really emphasise all of the amenities. So after non enthusiastically going over the 2 memberships we go through the paper work which Is relatively quick and thats it. I got no tour!!! Literally didnt go pass the front desk. So I had no idea what was beyond the front desk. I feel this is something a gym clerk should do when making a sell.So this is very much a beginner gym. Meaning the equipment and space is limited. This is not a bad thing though. This will be good for those who are new to the gym life. However they are very limited. No classrooms, no battle ropes, I didnt see any Olympic bars and free weights aside from dumbbells, just lots of treadmills. No towels, obviously no pools. Like i said very beginner. I was shocked to hear they had no family plans. My hope is to better myself here and then upgrade to a better gym. But thats for me. However this is good for those who dont want bells and whistles and want simplicity.
My biggest problem is with the companies billing policy and how little the staff seems to know about it. I signed a one year deal and after that year I checked with the staff member behind the counter about how I would be billed in the future. I specifically asked if I would be charged any extra fees after my one year was up. I told the representative that I didnt want to be surprised with any unforeseen annual or membership fees. I was assured that I would only be charged the normal 20$ month fee and that I would not be charged anything more.This month I was charged extra for a membership fee. I noticed the charge and immediately went to my location to try and resolve the situation. I explained that I had inquired about this very situation only a few months earlier, but the location manager dismissed my claims. I was told that the annual fee was in the contract and that I should be aware of it. She refused to refund the extra money I was charged. If she would have simply refunded the 20$ extra that I was charged, I would still be a member. There is no accountability with Planet Fitness. The only was to reach a company representative is through Twitter. If you call the corporate number the simply reroute your call your home Planet Fitness location.I was told that if I had cancelled my membership before February, I would not have been charged any new fees. This is why I asked someone who worked there about this very issue. I was given the wrong information. They still charged me and refused to do anything about it.As a gym, it is decent for the price. They did a remodel last year and the new layout is awkward. Equipment is usually in good shape though and everything is clean. People tend to hang out on equipment and chat.As a gym, its serviceable. Be aware of their policies though and do not rely on the information given to you by the people that work there. If you run into a billing issue, they will not be on your side.

Between the times of 2:47-3:05pm on Monday January 20th, 2020, I was in tanning bed #2 for a tanning session of 5mins not including dress down or dress up. While tanning, I noticed that the top part of the bed lifted up as if the hydrologics were broke at a slow momentum pace. Roughly
Its a gym. Plenty if equipment prices are good. If you want to be a serious workout tbus gym probably isnt for you. If you want to get in shape but at your own pace or if you just want to maintain work or get in shape to get ready for a more intense gym this is a good place to start
This Planet fitness is nice and the staff are very helpful and nice. What I dont like about this place is that its really packed during busy hours and just doesnt have enough room for a whole lot of people. Overall the place is very clean and the people are nice overall very welcoming place.So i give this place 4/5 stars due just the place being so packed
This place is misleading. We were at the YMCA. And for your family it is cheaper at the YMCA. If you take a guess, they cant use all of the amenities. That was NOT told to me when I signed up. After I said something they said its on the contract. So be careful. For my wife,daughter and I . We all would have to buy black cards. Not family friendly in that area.
Worst location, and false advertising. I called this location twice about to .20 down deal they had and asked twice if that’s all I needed to put down for a membership and was told yes. I get up there and they tell me I have to pay a pro rate or $10...waste of time I’ll go back to Gold’s at least I know I’m getting what I paid for. They’re always completely honest about pricing too, way more amenities anyhow.
I attempted to go workout as i did two days ago at Planet Fitness. How is that they can take my membership dues from my account but all of a sudden you can’t find me in the system after i JUST worked out two days ago? Not only that, but the staffing there did not try to assist me with getting the issue resolved so that I could workout. Due to this incident, I will be canceling my membership with Planet Fitness as this kind of service is not okay.
Freshly renovated. Smells better than it used to... Has all the machines you could want, however the music is loud. The atmosphere is busy. The bright purple and yellow are present everywhere. Not very relaxing, but everyone is in there to run!
Very nice. I went during the day, large assortment of cardio machines offered. Didnt bother me that no one greeted me because I had headphones coming and going. Definitely will return. Its also 24/7

I go to this facility every morning and the staff are very professional and willing to help.
No frills, clean gym for $10 a month. Excellent staff. Love that part. The only part I dont like is free pizza day. Seems totally counter productive to have all you can eat pizza which is loaded with saturated fats. Not a good way to set an example for customers eating habits. It cancels out your workout for a week.

Its my third visit, I really like it. Tonight my workout was ruined due to a member who didnt wipe down after using the equipment...PF policy.I asked him if he forgot to wipe down his machine as he was coming to use mine, that I was about to wipe down.He said Oh I wasnt on it that long.He continues to hit and run three more times, so I mentioned it to the front desk.I did go back to continue my workout...15 min later he was still at it and no one came.So I left.
Love the recent remodeling. Lots of improvements for black card members. Now has a stand up tanning bed and a lounge area specifically for black card holders
Facility looks great! Very clean and up to date! I was scheduled for a personal trainer this morning to go over fitness goals. Was told the trainer was already on the floor I could find her in a yellow shirt, after 7 minutes of not seeing her I gave up on her and did my own thing. Very poor communications for a re grand opening. I signed up for Black card membership so I am disappointed to say the least! After my year is up I will be looking else where!

Friendly staff. Very clean environment. Parking is adequate. Soap always in dispensers in showers.. as opposed to some LA Fitness locations in California. Never over crowded.However, the Lunk Alarm is reverse discrimination: Stereotyping a guy named Ricky.. not cool. Ownership need to take a look at that.
