I took my computer to this man because my battery was discharging on its own and wouldnt charge at all. He said it was the battery and so replaced it. Upon getting the computer home, the problem started happening once more. I called Lester and informed him of the problem. He told me it was likely the charger now and not the battery. My brother, who is an electronics technician, fixed the problem for me over the phone. He told me it was not the battery and that likely my old battery probably ended up in someone elses computer. He informed me that I had been ripped off and to call the guy and let him know the discharging problem had been fixed. I called this Lester and left two messages on his phone. No reply. Exasperated, I took the computer to the Geek Squad. There were no hardware issues. They removed 31 viruses and fixed 56 policy issues. That was the problem! Not the battery. This man is an unscrupulous businessman. He does not know what he is doing. Do NOT do business with this thief. I will be reporting him to the BBB.

I went in on Tuesday he gave me an extremely reasonable price (hundreds of dollars cheaper than Geek Squad) and told me my computer would be fixed by Thursday. After reading all of the great reviews, I decided to go w/ Affordable computer repair. I spoke w/ Lester and after explaining my computer issue (liquid damage), I felt confident that my issue would be resolved. INITIALLY I was very pleased w/ the turnaround time/price especially since it was during the holiday season. It wouldve been perfect had the computer not cut off within 2 hrs of bringing it home. I called and when I asked if I could bring the laptop back he stated that it was his weekend off (although the website has weekend hours). That was NOT the response I expected especially since I just dropped $140 on the fixed laptop. Seeing that we had paid for the service you would think our repair would be a priority but clearly that wasnt the case. Nevertheless I gave him the benefit of a doubt and waited to take it back. After taking it back I waited another week or so and called to follow up. He stated that he was still working on it/figuring it out. So again, i waited. After waiting a couple more weeks I reached out...and still no solution. My issue is that not once during these months (after being paid) did he initiate a call to me. The communication we had was b/c I called. I was more than disappointed b/c I feel that my daughters laptop should have become priority seeing as he had been paid for that service, and I have been more than patient/understanding . Because of both the time that has passed AND the failure to communicate I had my husband pick the laptop up this past Wednesday(1/24). No apology, a inoperable laptop, and $140 waisted...never again.

I dropped by their location on Vandalia with no appointment (my computer had physical damage). Probably the best and most professional customer service I have ever received. I had a cracked computer screen right before a holiday weekend and right before a national sales meeting I had to attend. I trusted these five star reviews before i called and made a schedule to fix my computer. the tech came and repaired(?) my computer, but then my computer went wrong again(just locked itself up) next day. then i called him again and he promised me to come to my place, but he never showed up and picked up his phone either(i actually called and texted him more than 10 times). now, i can tell all these full star reviews are fake.

Contacted Affordable Repair and spoke with Lester. I needed a specialized computer worked on. He said he could do everything no problem. I asked him to install extra USBs as well as a WiFi card. He ended up conducting $500 worth of repairs that I am skeptic needed to be completed in the first place. After he installed an entirely new motherboard on my computer he found a loose connection that was probably the original issue to begin with. He brought it over, hooked it up. Suprise no WiFi card. I now have a $5,000 paperweight in my home. I have limited time and the reason why I sought a professional. Money or price was no object...and still could not do what i asked. What a waste of time and money. Move a long and find another repair service.
