The only bad thing about this place is that I live in the Town of Lawrence, and this place is in Howard. I wish it was more nearby! If I could give it 10 stars, I would! This store has cornered the market on the friendliest, most knowledgeable, helpful staff Ive probably ever seen in my entire life! The store is neat, has a little something for everybody, and has lots of unique, tough-to-find items. The rental area is great. Getting Craftsman tools replaced for warranty is a beeeze. A truly old-fashion customer service experience with modern-day convenience! I will definitely be back!

1st time at this store, went to pick up an item I ordered on-line. Quick & easy. Helpful staff. And the greenhouse! Wonderful! Such a great variety of healthy plants. Certainly didnt expect such a huge greenhouse selection at an Ace hardware store.

This year I was very dissapointed in customer service in Conjunction with with the purchase of a 2021 Cadet riding lawn tractor. I came to pick up the tractor The kid drove it up to the trailer than just walked away. I asked him how alittle Info on how to drive and operate. I was told that was not his job he did what he was told to do. Drive it out there. That’s where his job ended. Than S he’s walking away he turned back to me and said read the owners manual. I will never make any major purchase at Kemp’s again.

The best place in the Green Bay area for renting yard equipment....no doubt! Recently purchased a Stihl trimmer from Kimps. The team at Kimps are great people to work with and they take very good care of their customers.

Kimps has a very good outdoor equipment center for parts. They are set up with other specialized counters for power tools and grills. A typical Ace hardware with everything you need.

I love our local hardware store. The prices here are generally not much more than the big box retailers, but you can almost always find just what you are looking for when you need it. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help you out. Kimps also is our local dealer for a couple of well-known national brands like Festool, Milwaukee, and Ariens.

Well that was a waste of time! Husband called ahead, gave part dept the part numbers for lawnmower blades and filter. Parts guy says yes they are in stock and told my husband that he would set them aside under my husbands name to pick up. Drove 25 miles round trip to pick up not even 2 hours after speaking to Kimps part person, and NO PARTS. Did not even have them at the store would have to order them. What a complete WASTE OF TIME AND GAS! Not doing that again, will order online and skip the bs. 😖 Response from Kimps to my review is missing some key details, better to admit the failing then to pass the buck.

If they dont, they will help you find it and get it ordered. Very knowledgeable and dedicated staff, no need to run around trying to find someone to help you, theyll find you 👍

Kimps Ace Hardware is a wonderfully large hardware store that has everything! Zero turn mowers, snowblowers, Magnolia brand paint, grills, smokers, lawn and garden care, cleaning supplies, tools etc.. Whatever you need, they will most likely have it in various choices. The store is family owned and has great customer service. They have Covid guidelines such as 😷 wearing masks, distancing markers on floor by cashiers, sanitary wipes for carts and hand sanitizer.

Rented a mini tractor/ loader with tiller, was a couple years ago. Everything went ok except for the end bill. I Rented for 2 days, needing two days of work and all... anyways I get the bill and they ended up tacking extra charges on for going over apparently 6 hours a day. Lol what a joke.

Service guys in back are very sharp and well versed in their crafts. Brought in a Stihl BR-600 Backpack Blower and they got right to bottom of the fuel cap issues in about 20 seconds flat. Installed a new one and i was on my way in minutes. Very impressed and look forward to coming here again! Nice Store ! Nice People!

I recently purchased a combo Milwaukee chainsaw/trimmer combo from Jeff at Kimps Hardware. I had received an email from Home Depot on this combo and stopped by Kimps to see if they stocked the same kit. Jeff said they didnt but took the time on a busy Friday afternoon to piece a kit together for me. He matched the price and even gave me a heads up on some other Milwaukee promotions that saved me even more. When I got home and put everything together there was a couple bolts/brackets missing. I returned and within minutes Jeff had everything I needed. I have and will continue to buy everything possible at Kimps because their customer service is 2nd to none and they are price competitive with the big guys.Thank you Craig, Lori, Jeff, Corny and everyone else @ Kimps for aJOB WELL DONE!!!

In doing a project I was looking for some rental tools to make the job go better and faster. I had heard from several people that Kimps was a good place to rent stuff.I called ahead to make sure they had what I needed and they did. The guy on the phone said hed hold it for me. When I got there the rental process was smooth and easy. I was shown how to use the equipment and also offered so tips. They were very patient with me explaining the settings, etc. to me as I had zero experience running that type of equipment.I would hands down go there again to rent from the guys back in that department, thanks again!

I would give a higher rating for the customer service alone. The only reason I am leaving this as a 4 star rating is because I often find myself needing specialty items that are either unavailable or in limited supply as I get supplies here for my business.Still, very knowledgable staff and a good variety of high quality products.

Very strange experience. Store was half empty, and looked terrible. Alot of staff wandering around trying to look busy. When I tried to find a certain product, I was sent to another store, a competitor no less. I wasnt asked what I was working on, what my project was, or any alternatives to my solution. Just get me out of the store as soon as possible was the feeling I got.

This is the BEST HARDWARE STORE Ive ever been in; and I use to own one as a member of Mid-States Distribution and an ACE franchisee. From A to Z they have it and their rental dept is well stocked for the needs of contractors and homeowners alike. The real topper is FIRST CLASS KNOWLEDGEABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Give them a try. You wont regret it.

Normally service is great here so I figured I would try to get my propane filled here vs swapping out at big box place. It took 20 minutes for someone to help me outside. They rang me up quick but Im glad I paid $40 to sit outside and wait for them to load a pallet truck in the 35 degree weather. Last time I checked customer came first guess that is not the case for the yard crew. Very disappointed. Home Depot next time!
