Terrible customer service experience. Yuck. Called to learn about setting up new service and got terrible treatment and no answers.
Never have had quality internet services in a yrs time. Have called numerous times, tech has come out and fixed something and only lasted a few days at the most. Unfortunately its the only option we have in our small town. Everyone around us has Three Rivers Communication, and I hear they are much better. Its just not available in town.
Still being charged for a residential phone line months after constant calls to support, bill credits, and support starting that my account would be closed.Avoid CenturyLink with all your might.Reporting this everywhere.
The pain!
After getting internet set up, they never came to turn it on. Called to try to figure out what was going on and they said they have no record of me ordering service to which I responded, “I’m looking at my confirmation email right now which is where I got this number from.” Going to try spectrum instead
WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY. Stay away from these people. After they sent me my equipment I realized it was incompatible with the phone lines in my house and sent everything back. SIX MONTHS later I get a collection bill in the mail for equipment non return after not receiving a SINGLE BILL from Century Link. I called and they said oh yeah sorry I do see your equipment was returned. AFTER I NOW HAVE A COLLECTIONS ACCOUNT that could affect my credit. When I called in the agent hung up on me. What a joke. Don’t use them.
I made a payment Friday before noon & our services havent been restored over 24 hours later. Which conflicts with what I was told after making the payment. Very frustrating.
This company doesnt even deserve 1 star. We waited a week for them to come out to hook up internet only to have them claim no one was home. They said theyd be out after 2:30pm so I put all other plans on hold and stayed home only to have no one show up. Now we have to wait another week. Do yourself a favor and go with someone else if at all possible.
Overcharge for services that arent even up to standards on every bill. At almost 90 dollars a month on average you would expect over twice the quality of service you pay for. What makes it worse is they are the only provider in my area so they treat people like a slumlord. It isnt surprising they have a class action lawsuit against them.
Paid $65/mo for 1Gbps internet, but have been getting 10Mbps instead. Several techs have been out to try and fix the issue and were unable to do so (issue seems to be in their infrastructure). They have offered a $15 refund for the issue, but that’s a pretty weak gesture.TLDR getting 1% of my states bandwidth, avoid them
Absolutely the worse company I’ve ever felt with. They have the worse costumer service, you can’t get ahold of them easily sometimes spending hours on the phone. I got lied to and when I canceled and moved they still had all my contacts but kept sending one last bill to my old address and never contacting me about it. 6 months later collection calls me. Funny collection gets ahold of me the first day and they didn’t in 6 months.
Been with century link for 4 months not once has they called, email, or even mail my bill to me tell what I have to pay instead they mail me a discontinued notice letter today to pay before the 24th of October that was 5 days ago CentreyLink is the worst company in America
If it was possible to leave a zero I would. We called to set up service and were charge $75 at that time. We were told that the speeds would work for what we needed. When the technician came to install he informed us that the speeds would not work for what we needed. I called to be reimbursed, was told it would be back on our credit card within 24 hours. It was not. Then my husband called and talked to five different people to no avail, and I called and talked to 3 people and was eventually routed to a closed number. CenturyLink is a scam, be wary. I will be going to my bank to file a fraudulent charge report.
This company is not honest. I was told that my final bill would be 74.99 a month- no hidden fees. Now they are saying my monthly bill after taxes and fees is $118.48. Also the costumer service is terrible. Wish I could give them 0 stars. If you are thinking about entering into a contract with them, FIND ANOTHER PROVIDER!
I choose 1 star minus 1 star equals zero stars. So, my wife and I have been looking for suitable alternatives to Specctrum internet. I had a chat with a CenturyLink rep. earlier this morning and was completely disappointed in finding out the speeds they say are available really arent. I found out my house is in an area which only receives 12Mbps not the 40 to 100Mbps advertised. So, I called one of there call centers. Talked with a lady briefly to express my disappointment and to tell them about the reputation of the local CenturyLink provider. Within two minutes she hung up on me. Not a very good experience or response to a potential customer. Not sure they will ever be an option in the future.
They just closed their office in Great Falls and left without any notice. So we went to Spectrum.
Trash..... from service to products 1 star is overstating their abilities
Probably should not even be a one star. Prices are way too much and customer service is almost non existent.
Top service for the price
