Even though Ive had bad experiences here in the past and have heard absolute horror stories.... I wanted to save money and do the proper thing by getting a suspension component replaced under warranty.... Within a month give or a take a few days, Ive had a domino effect of things going wrong as soon as I went into this place.1. Extreme premature tire wear, had to purchase a brand new set of tires way before I should have. Thankfully I did not purchase the tires from these people.2. Had to replace idler and pitman arms. Which were brand new as of 7 months ago.3. Completely lost steering and all control on a busy intersection in the Bay Area last week.... Almost got hit had it not been for the amazing Fish and Wildlife Warden who stopped when he saw my truck disabled half in the road.... Lower ball joint literally sheared off from lower control arm. Had to replace ALL of the drivers side front end components...As I said above, the front end on my truck was completely redone not even 7 months ago. With QUALITY parts and PROPER installation.Thankfully there was a shop down in that area who was available to get my truck back on the road. Was only supposed to be a 3 day mini vacation. Dropped $2,229 (including replacement of the SAME part from Les Schwab) on my truck alone... $219 per night at a hotel. I missed 4 days of work... 7 days... Add it up...And I cannot even get the manager of this store, Luis, to call me back.DO NOT GO HERE. PLEASE!!! If you dont want to deal with immense stress, blowing money and your vehicle likely toe completely ruined, just do yourself a favor and take lesson from my experience.

Unlike a popular locally owned shop, this chain tire store will take appointments for minor work. Saves a lot of standing around time at the local shop. They also offer some free services that the local shop doesnt.They handle brands that are cheaper as well, but Ive found I can get top rated tires through smaller tire only shops so shop around for bigger ticket items.In the past theyve bought and sold used tires which can save $ in a pinch and help out if your tenant leaves a set of tires when he moves out...

While its true there may be a wait time for service, thats actually common most places and besides, anything worth waiting for is worth waiting for. The folks that work here are super friendly and know their stuff. Watching the shop guys work is telling that they know what their doing and enjoy doing it. I wont go anywhere else.

Very helpful and friendly staff, but I think systems need to be improved. I’ve had multiple issues with online appointments not showing up on their systems correctly that have been inconvenient.Just recently I was told an hour and a half wait for a brake inspection (walk in), ended up being 3 hours was late to work, and the brake adjustment (by appointment) I’ve been waiting for the last 45 minutes for hasn’t been started on yet because they didn’t hear the announcement that I was here, and now I have to reschedule my plans for today. It’s sad because I enjoy coming here, and I love their service, I just can’t keep wasting so much of my time in their lobby.

I was told an HR and a half to remove a nail and do rotation and balance. At 2 and a half hrs of my truck sitting untouched I grabbed my keys and left. Service here is going downhill.

I have loved most Les Schwab centers except Redding CA( another story). Most I have been run to meet you and are very prompt about getting you taken care of. My Favorite is Rohnert Park CA. This has felt like home there.

The folks at the Grass Valley Les Schwab Tire Center are friendly and professional. We received quick and quality service with fair pricing. They explained what is needed for our vehicle going forward with no pressure sales. They stated they could do those services still needed and they would be happy to assist if we wanted to in the near future. We will be back!

Flat tire...fixed for free! Rotation and balance...free. They even put my spare back in the trunk, screwed it down, put my tools and cover back in place. What I had to do...nothing!! I love these guys!

Great customer service. I brought in a flat tire and they had a new one ready and balanced my wheel in less than 40 minutes. The price for the full service was only about $100 give or take a few dollars, but my tires were basic all season tires. Your price will vary per tire.

Theres a reason we like to go to Les Schwab, service. My mother in law had an issue with the braking on her vehicle. I ran it over and dropped it off so theyd be able to get to it when it when it was convenient, and give us a heads up on the problem. They called shortly thereafter and it was a wheel cylinder that failed. They were able to get the parts, which then included the rear drums, they were definitely worn, and we were up and running that evening. Well keep going there, and definitely recommend it to our neighbors and friends.

Went in for 2 tires, they not only swapped the 2 tires, they moved the new tire to the full rim, put the serviceable tire on the spare rim and put it back under the van, balanced all 3, aired all 3 to match the pressure I had, and only charged for 2 wheel service.Great attention to detail!

Fast service! We were on our way to the lake when we realized we had a screw in a tire. We stopped by this location and realized it was time to get new tires anyway. They had us in and out in less than 90 minutes with new tires.

I requested a simple brake job: pads and rotors (if needed). Usually about $300. This shop refused, insisted on replacing pads, rotors, both front calipers, all new brake fluid, and bleeding the lines. All because the pads are getting thin and need replacing. Every shop Ive ever been to will do the pads+rotors. This is standard service. Yet, GV Les Schwab REFUSED, would only do full calipers. Who in the hell replaces calipers when new pads are needed? Only a CROOKED SHOP, thats who. The manager tried to tell me that every shop does this, its the normal brake service. Ive never heard such a rip-off load of BS in my life. It was unbelievable. Im contacting Les Schwab corporate to find out if thats indeed their policy and if so, why they are ripping off customers with unnecessary work.

Absolutely fantastic service! My tire pressure system indicated low tire pressure while I was traveling. I knew about this location and wanted to see if they can help me out. Indeed they helped me and made my anxiety disappear! Just to check the air in my tires was complimentary. I will be searching for the nearest Les Schwab Tire Center in my home town for all my tire needs! Thank you Les Schwab!

Worst experience ever, I would not recommend Les Schwab to anyone nor will I ever come back here!

My husband made an appointment the replace the rear shocks on his Toyota Tundra. He arrived today at 9 oclock, but the work wasnt completed because the guy spent an hour trying to get the shocks off. At the end of an hour, he told my husband that his allotted time was up and hed have to make another appointment. ALLOTED TIME?? Such a shoddy excuse! If the employee was having problems, why didnt he get some one to help him? Youre close to losing long time customers.

I took my truck in for a front end alignment. They were unable to do the alignment do to a FREE diagnosis of issues preventing the front end alignment. They were so polite and kind.

Always friendly and helpful. Very busy which is a great thing for their business but a bummer for us who need to get in and out and back to work. I wish they could have a separate building or outside storage for the tires so I didnt have to smell them, especially with the mix of popcorn smell, which for those who are bored waiting, this is a great idea to have. Sadly the combo gets my gag reflex going and I have to go sit outside or walk to the shops, that being said, its a great location to kill time while you wait shopping, close enough to walk. Ive only had tires replaced and repaired which Ive always been satisfied, just havent had any other mechanical work to give a review.

I have been going to Les Schwab for years and they never disappoint. Took my newer pickup in for a walk in appointment due to damage to the brakes from a previous repair from another mechanic. They not only got the parts in a hurry but were able to fix it by close of business the day before Thanksgiving. Greatly appreciated will be bringing my business back here for sure.

Good customer service and quality work. Weve come here 3 times and have no reason to go elsewhere. Occasionally they get busy, but Ive never had a problem getting in. Wrong valve stems on used tires you have? Nail in your tire? Tire balance? New brakes? No problem.

Had the tires on my 2015 RAM 1500 rotated.Free service of course.I had to wait a bit but that was my fault, as I did not have an appointment.I waited for the sun to melt the ice on the roads before venturing out.I have been going here for about five years now.Happy with the products and service.I would reccomend this business to anyone.

Horrible customer service. I went in to have a tire repaired and was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour. Nearly 2 hours later they tell me that they cant repair my tire which I understand considering that I apparently ran over a scissor blade which lodged itself in my tire. My problem is this...they did not at any point in time bother to tell me that it would be longer than the wait time they quoted me. Then they simply hand me a quote for new tires and state that I would have to replace all 4. I understand that it would not necessarily be good to replace just one tire due to the wear and tread but they also very loudly announced that I have a past due balance which I was unaware of as I had recently paid my bill. Yes, I paid a few days late but I also called in advance and informed them that I would not be able to pay until a specific date, no one mentioned that there would be any sort of late fee and it certainly did not need to be announced to everyone there. When I was trying to figure out what the fee was for the guy at the counter continued to talk over and interrupt me. I understand that sometimes a business can get busy and run behind but common courtesy dictates that you inform your customers. I could have easily found something else to do while waiting but thought it wouldnt be too much of a wait. They didnt seem all that busy and there were a few people who came in after me and left before. I am definitely not happy with their customer service and will not be returning.

I waited 4 hours before they put my tires on horrible customer service

I have unusual size tires, they ordered them. Took 2 days, I went at 2pm and was home by 3:30 and the place was packed. Had great service and had a lot of fun with the front office staff. Tires were a great price. And the fix all my flats for free!

I had a screw in my tire and Les Schwab repaired it the same day at no cost. I didnt even by my tires from them. Mine are due to be changed soon. Now I know where I am bringing my business. Thank you Les Schwab!

Shout out to Les Schwab. I got a nail in my tire from our not too careful roofers. They were very busy and still did a great job helping all the customers in the store. Everyone was on their toes and going non stop. The did a great job plugging my tire and getting me on my way in no time. My 4 month old even sat through the wait. Good job guys and thank you very much.

We bought tires from LS GV a year ago because Ive never had a bad experience with Les Schwab before. Until now. Both front tires ended up with nails/screws in the interior sidewall. I took them in to repair or replace. Was told that one tire was a road hazard and could be replaced at a discount but the other would not be covered by their road hazard warranty. They quoted me $120 for both tires but they did not have ANY tires in stock for my car. It is a work vehicle. I left on the understanding that we had to plug the tires and drive on them until they got the tires in in 2 days time. I was told point blank that plugging the tires did not effect the warranty. I never got a call. I called a week later and asked about it and they were again out of stock. Again never got a call when the tires came in. Now they are refusing to honor their warranty for either tire. NEVER BUYING FROM LS GV AGAIN. They are liars and con artists.

We traveled 1500 miles from Montana to Grass Valley to look at a cool old truck. On the way, going over Donner Pass we unfortunately found out that our brakes needed replacing. We arrived before opening at Les Schwab to beg mercy to help us out. At first they said they would try to squeeze us in at the end of the day, but when they found out we were traveling and on a very tight schedule they said, well see what we can do. 2 hours later we got a call saying it was ready!!! We cannot thank Luis and whoever else pushed to get us in our way! We fell in love with the old truck and were able to safely toe it 1500 miles back to Montana! Thank you Les Schwab!!!

I would give them negative stars if possible their warranty is a joke, they upcharge everything with hidden costs. There exclusive tires are 2nd rate junk I barely got 10k out of 40 k tires plus they wanted to do alignment on a new car . These people are super greasy and should be avoided

The fill valve on my tire got ripped up from some trails and since my tires were bought at a Les Schwab, they fixed it for free! Great customer service! I love supporting businesses like that

This Grass Valley locations customer service has gone straight to hell. I used to think they were a good quality cared about customer store but now Ive been in there 3 times and am thinking of switching to a different tire and brake service locations. Every time I go here they lie to me and sell me things I don’t need. And the last time I came, I bought 4 new tires and they scratched every one of my rims, and put a large dent on the edge of one but I was told it was ok because “it’ll still hold air.” They value money more than they value people and they take advantage of anyone they can. Don’t come here, go to Plaza instead!

Busy day at the Schwab had me waiting about an hour 20 for a balance and rotation but they had me in and out as quick as possible and the wifes vehicle is feeling perfectly balanced and considerably safer on the road. Thanks guys!

Went in last week for an alignment and a pre trip safety inspection as my family and I were going on a road trip, the whole trip driving about 600 miles the car had a shake in the steering wheel at highway speeds, no big deal just a little uncomfortable ride, we got back and I brought the car back in and informed them of the issue and my thought was that when they rotated the tires they forgot to balance the wheels, and sure thing, the tech threw the front tires on the balance machine and discovered they were out of balance and went ahead and balanced them for me free of charge even though my tires were not purchased there just because they were the last ones to touch the vehicle mechanically.

While traveling I got a low tire warning on my lease vehicle. Called and they got me right in. Found the screw and checked all the tires, and patched the one tire and had me on my way in 30min. No charge! Outstanding!

Ive been going to Les Schwab for many years. Love this place! Friendly, excellent service, professional, great replacement guarantees. They once repaired one of my tires for free that was purchased elsewhere. I was told by the Goldrush Subaru dealership that one of my tires had a hole in the sidewall and it was not repairable, and I would have to by 4 new tires. I took my car to Les Schwab and they told me the hole in the tire was not in the sidewall and was easily repairable and they fixed it for free!!!

0 stars. I have been ripped off multiple times by this awful tire store. Upon entering the store, you are greeted by the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If you are a female, I would suggest staying as far away as possible from this sexist place. The way they treat females vs. the way they treat a male in the same situation is drastically different. Les Schwab Tires in Grass Valley lives up to the sexist, dishonest mechanic ideal. After buying four new tires in December, I had one severely leaking tire in March. Upon returning to Les Schwab to get this fixed, they said that the tire was beyond repair and charged me another $200 dollars for one new tire. Bad mechanics. Bad service. Bad tires. Highest prices, which you will have to pay every three months because of their bad products.

Les Schwab in grass Valley California on Freeman Lane they are the most wonderful people Ive ever met I have gone in there numerous times with nails in my tires and they fixed it with no charge October 21 I went in with a wobbly tire and I was terrified to drive it they changed my tire out and put my rim from my spare on my other tire no charge diagnosed it make sure everything was safe and did it kindly and fast and sent me on my way I Thank them so much they are heroes to me I love you guys thank you so much
