Stopped here for lunch on out way home yesterday (we are from Norman, OK). It was a pleasant experience. Not crowded since it was a Monday afternoon. The food was quite good this time (we have had not so great experience with the food in the past). Its fairly expensive but, a splurge for our family about once a year. The Mai Tai drink was delicious but, again it was very pricey. Our 2yr old loved it.
The experience for the kids is AMAZING. the food and service not so much. We waited a very long time for our meal and it was not the best meal. Our waiter was amazing though and he provided great customer service and a fun experience for our boys birthday. Will definitely come back but maybe just get the kids a meal and appetizer for the adults.
This was me and my wifes date day and we had a really good time here. James was our server and he gave us A1 service during our visit here. Food came out in a timely fashion hot and tasty. I definitely recommend coming here especially for the rainforest atmosphere. Super fun for small children if you have any or just an adventurous time of eating.
If youre looking for a place to take the kids thats kind of fun it wouldnt be a bad choice. If youre looking for a decent meal definitely not recommend way overpriced for what you get. The food is not that good at all and the service takes forever. The margaritas arent too bad.Can definitely tell that they are on there last leg and trying to do everything possible to keep open. That means overcharging a customer extremely and underserving portions by a lot.
My family and I had a great time! The kids loved it! My oldest son has autism and he loves animals, he enjoyed every minute of it. The food and the service was great. My husband and I were bummed though, we had ordered two of the tropical paradise drinks in the souvenir glasses and forgot to stop at the counter on our way out and get our glasses 😔. We live in Oklahoma and didnt realize we forgot them until we were almost home. I wonder if they do shipping, this was our first official family vacation, just would like the souvenirs. Overall I highly recommend, thank you!!
What a wonderful experience ❤. We walked around the gift shop while waiting for our table. Once seated our waiter Justin was so fun we all loved his energy it matched the atmosphere. He was very attentive to us. Keeped our glasses full and the food... The FOOD was Fantastic everything was so Delicious 😋 . We even got to take our cup home with us!
Pros: fun environment and decor, good experience, nice waitstaff, the volcano birthday experience. Decent foodCons: the prices for the quality, Cole slaw was warm, bathrooms needed to be cleaned.Tip! Go online and buy a Landrys membership for $25. Within 2 days you will get $25 back as a reward. This gives you rewards but the biggest perk is priority seating. It cut our wait time from 3.5 hours😳 to 45 minutes.
Such a fun experience! My kids were totally amazed! Also, really appreciate their protocol for food allergies. My son is very allergic to eggs, and the manager himself, answered questions about what was safe for him, took the order and then watched over as it was prepared in the kitchen. I really appreciate the level of care and fantastic service! We will absolutely return!
If was all of our first time here. My kids seemed to be wowed from the mini show, making it seem like you are in the jungle with all the animals. We ordered a bit of everything. The drinks from the bar, seemed too sweet, and as if they add it a hint of liquor. The food was not what we expected, my friends fish was over cooked, the rice was either soggy or overcooked, my sandwich was overly toasted, fries were overly saleted. My sisters fajita platter was okay. On the bright side we were given four souvenir cups. So this was definitely one of those first time, last time visit.
It was awesome! We went 2 days in a row. We dont have one in our hometown. The theme, animatronics, and overall atmosphere was amazing. My toddler loved it!Josh was our server the first night and he rocked. I think our second time the servers name was Justin and he was pretty good, too. The food was great. Better than Ive had at most other restaurants. The gift shop was neat and had some great sales and a 15% discount since we ordered something off the kids menu before purchasing at the gift shop.Id give it 5 stars except they dont have their alcohol drink prices listed ($14 for a mixed drink I expected to be around $8 at other restaurants), most of the staff didnt know how much things were or the answers to most of our questions, and the bathrooms both days were gross and not kept up. The servers and gift shop employees were very nice and enthusiastic, but the hosts/ greeters and management seemed kind of apathetic. I might have given 3 stars because of the lack of knowledge, apathy, and gross bathrooms, but the rest of the atmosphere and the servers were so great that it was worth it.
Have you ever eaten in a rain forest? No? Here is your chance! Absolutely amazing experience! Fish tanks, interactive animal show. Our kids Absolutely loved it all!Just be prepared to pay as this is a expensive restaurant. Average about $25-$30 a person. Another tip that we learned is that you need to make a reservation otherwise you will have 2+ hour wait.
Four stars are mainly for the ambiance and energy of the place. Kids friendly, amazingly decorated and friendly staff. It took a bit longer time than expected to get served. We have seen many kids celebrating their birthday lunches as they have special birthday greetings for the birthday gal/guy. The food was good but just one vegetarian option which is Beyond burger alone otherwise you gotta go for their sides. I took coleslaw, safari fries and bread sticks. I enjoyed them well.My friends enjoyed their chicken quesadilla and Italian pasta very well.I would suggest to check the menu before you go so that you know their limited options. Also it’s a bit expensive restaurants comparatively and seems fair considering the ambiance and location of the restaurant.
One thing I have learned about Rainforest Cafe is, they dont care if the restaurant goes under. The menu items are overpriced and service doesnt make up for the food or price. I was shopping during tax-free weekend, and decided to look around the gift shop. Its been yrs since I dined at rainforest cafe and I wanted to make reservations while shopping. The number of new menu items caught my attention. As I walked toward the restaurant area, I saw many empty tables and heard people complaining. I decided to eat in the food court instead, but wanted to purchase a souvenir. Sadly, I think this rainforest cafe location will be closing in a few years. I wont be giving them another shot, but atleast Ill have a beautiful mug.
So to start I would like to say the wait was very long I’m not sure if it was because they were half staffed or what but we waited about an hour and 15 mins to get a seat. We are members at salt grass and the front never told us that if we were member we would be seated a lot sooner so that was the only negative. The wait was worth it we ended up getting the best server ever she was friendly knowledgeable fun and a complete joy to have taking care of us. She is for sure a champion so if you go back ask for Yaz to be your server she will not disappoint. The best personality ever.Loved that the manager also came by to make sure everything came out perfect 👍🏾 she was awesome as well.Pics of the food are below they did not disappoint the steak was cooked just like we wanted it the ribs were on point I mean perfect. All the food melted in your mouth and I will for sure be going back.Best server award definitely goes to YAZ thought she went out of her way to make sure we had the table we wanted to sit at just complete joy keep up the great work superstar.
You go here for the experience. You do not go here for the food. The experice is amazing for kiddos and totally worth it! The animals are life-size and animatronic; very life like! There are a few gorillas, an iguana, tiger family, elephants, beautiful butterfiles, an anaconda, and a few fish tanks! Really neat! However, the food is down fall of this place. Its just par, nothing special. I would not let the so-so food deter you from coming though, it is still worth it!
Came in for lunch on a Thursday and the service was slow and somewhat attentive. At first, we thought they were short staffed but it wasnt very busy, the bartender just never came over to take care of us until we went back up to the front after sitting at the table for almost 10 minutes. A server came over and was great, got us going and somehow the bartender got all the reward aka the tip. Food is ok, we only came in for a youngsters birthday lunch. We will miss you Rainforest but its time for you to close your doors.
I hear a lot about how this franchise is one where you come for the atmosphere but not the food. And then there was this location. As of this past July at least, the food here was quite good too! I had the burger, and so did one of the people with me. Another had the tacos. I dont remember what the fourth person had, but there wasnt a single complaint. In fact, one of my companions even expressed surprise, having expected the food to be just as poor as it had been years ago.
The food was excellent. The service was to be desired. Make sure you get there asap to get a reservation or schedule one online.
They were great! They accommodated our party of 24, treated the Girl Scouts like adults. Food was great, and tasted good.
The electronic animals are great, along with the aquariums. I have come here on several occasions and this is a once every few years type of place. Waited very long to be seated and the place was empty to begin with, our waiter was inattentive never came to check on us. The food is average and restrooms are dirty.
First time back since the pandemic and it still was a great experience for the whole family.
This is one of those instances were I wish I could split my rating. On atmosphere for children this gets a 4 to 5 and my daughter enjoyed it. The food is not all that good and is over priced. The service is fine and they do some little things that are fun. So go for the atmosphere not the food.
I will start the servers did a good job. The atmosphere was awesome for kids. The light that went off with the thunderstorms. The robotic animals were great. The down side the food was awful. For the amount of money you spend here I expected better quality food. All of the food tasted like it was microwave food from Walmart. The beef lava nachos was shredded cheese ground beef thrown on tortilla chips and microwaved then some cheap salsa thrown on and sour cream. For an appetizer that is almost 20 bucks I expected more. If you are looking for a great atmosphere then come here if you are looking for good food stay away.
My nephew chose this place for his bday dinner. We made reservations, but they would not seat us until 5 people were there, no biggie. Great place to take small children. I was looking forward to a strawberry mojito, but I was informed that they were out. 😒 the food was definitely over priced. I asked to sub a side salad for my fries. He said I could add it but they couldnt sub things. 😒 the fries were cold, the coconut shrimp was good though. My nephew had a good bday and thats all that matters. As for me, i wont be back.
Went for my nieces birthday food was very good but for the price should have been much better service ok not great but its fun for the kids all the animals moving
Fun. Long wait. Rainforest is always fun for the Big Kids (adults) and little kids.
Such a fun experience!!! I went here with a friend when I was 7 but hadnt been back since. Fast forward to 16 it was still a great experience. There is a super big shopping area and then past the aquarium arch, you walk into the coolest jungle. And the food is.... SO DELICIOUS 😋
The animatronics are always fun. The service was decent, the Downtown Disney restaurant is better.
Its was very nice place to have a party and eat dinner there thank you
I had my 11yr old daughters birthday here in July 2021!!! Everything was AMAZING! My tables were set up perfectly for my large party!Drinks were flowing and our waiter was truly the best! I dont know his name tho but he has a huge tattoo on his arm! Very good experience 😊🙂😊🙂😊
Enchanting place where eating with your family or just a romantic dinner for two, great, mask friendly. Safe can be crowded because its connected to Grapevine Mills Mall keep that in mind. Enjoy the scenery and the food
Had a pretty good experience here. Food was pretty good. The drinks were okay, but at least we got a souvenir cup with it. Its a really neat atmosphere that the kids enjoyed. I really hope they can staff this place soon because there we so many open tables, yet so many people who didnt have reservations were met with 4 hour wait times at the door. That just shows they dont have the staff to accommodate the demand.
This restaurant was so amazing looking and the animals move and make noises but the menu was small and overpriced.Update- I took my daughter who is seven here a month after I posted it because she’s been watching YouTube videos about this place and the service was great but the food was gross. I had the fried shrimp. Still worth experience for kids.
We had a great experience! There was a 3 hour wait, but that was fine. We found other things the do in the meantime. Our waitress Leslie was phenomenal. She interacted with our kids and offered great customer service. The food we had was also really good. We will definitely be visiting here again.
I was actually there doing business for them, but when my daughter was younger we always enjoyed going there on her birthday. A bit pricey but worth the experience to see a smile on your kids face..
We really like this place but our 3 year old not so much. We came last year also but he gets scared of all the animals going off. Food is good a but pricey but great atmosphere. We come every year when we have family down as we go shopping here.
I was either going to order the Shrimp Pastalaya or the shrimp tacos.....obviously went with the tacos and they did not disappoint. If you like a little spice to your tacos.....Id give them a try! Service was great too!
We had a blast the service was great the food was amazing I had no problem getting my picky eater to clear his plate ! 🙏 think were gonna make this our regular restaurant stop from now on since its so affordable and fun for the whole fam
Love the vibe!! Great place for the kiddos! Food was ok, youre paying more for the scenery which is kinda expected, amazing drinks!
Had a very nice time here with my brother and my 7 and 12 year old. Definitely make a reservation! This was the 2nd time we tried to go and the wait was prettying both tines (the first time we gave up). The Landry Diners club they push heavily will help you get seated much quicker on subsequent visits. The boys had a good time and the club card seemed like a good deal since well be going back and will get more use out of it. They definitely enjoyed the environment and everything it had to offer. Food was better than expected. Typically for a place like this you are mainly going for the environment but we all enjoyed our food. The boys had spaghetti and I had a steak which was better than I expected. The prices are about what youd expect going to a themed chain restaurant like this. Service was very good. The only real negatives were the wait (no reservation) and the push to get the Diners Card which I ultimately ended up getting. If youre in the area, its definitely worth a stop but definitely make sure you have a reservation!
Fun family dinning. A little bit pricey for what you get but still fun place.
Youre paying for atmosphere! The food was fair at best. Our 6yr old grandson loved it, but didnt eat all of his kid meal either.
Awesome place my family and I experienced this establishment for the 1st time and wasnt disappointed. The staff were great and very attentive and the food was well cooked. The burger was delicious and my daughters loved the dinosaur chicken nuggets. Overall excellent dining experience. Thank you
5/30/2021: I visted at 11:30 am and the wait time was 45 mins. The inside of the restaurant is really cool and the atmosphere is perfect. The food is very expensive and in my opinion its overpriced. I ordered the bbq bacon cheeseburger with fries with the ricky non alcoholic beverage. The waitress was busy but good when she came around. I recommend trying Rainforest cafe at least once for the atmosphere and its great for kids.
I have to say not impressed with this place it was our first time here and good thing I made a reservation it was packed. The food was not that great not alot of selections and it was just average. The one big issue my husband had is that they has this flashes going off where the monkeys were and it made my husband get a huge headache we did let our waitress and a cashier at the gift shop know since they asked how was our experience. People need to be careful with that you might get epilepsy or something. The last annoying thing is that every 5 minutes it was someones birthday so they were yelling and singing all the time poor employees lol. Its also expensive and its not even great quality sadly this is the first and last time we come here.
Great customer experience. Even with everything going on they were fast and friendly and the food was super fresh. They keep it super clean. The manager made sure we had a great experience and that we always had what we needed. Got all appitizers this time around with the limited menu and all were super yummy. Definitely will be back.
Wish I had read the reviews before going to this restaurant! I would not have bothered. 65.00 for two people, portions were worth half that price!Do not believe the hype! This restaurant is for kids and it is quite clear they get the attention. Thirty minutes to get in. Seated at the wrong table. Five minutes later a gentleman informs us of this and he needed to find a server for the table because he did not have one assigned. We offered to move to speed up the process. No, left us there for another ten minutes for waitress to show up. Another server took our drink order.Long story short. Ordered fajitas, took 40 minutes for food to arrive. For the price the portion was small.Overpriced and Over rated!
The atmosphere is amazing! Loved the storm!! Food is always delicious!! You have to try the Rasta Pasta with Alfredo sauce!!!
We have been coming here for years. Certainly not forThe food, but the atmosphere which my children love. Today we sat at a tableAt the bar and the service doesn’t even get one star. It was horrible, rude the food was disgusting and I couldn’t even speak with anyone regarding our experience. Our waiter was downright nasty and the blonde bartender mumbled what appeared to to be the b word when my partner asked for the check, she saw that I was looking and knew she got caught. We all were bartenders and servers once and this was completely uncalled for. We won’t be returning and that’s a shame because my kids love it.
Best shrimp tacos ever and BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. Also enjoyed the kids Alfredo Pasta and kids Pepperoni Pizza! Fun atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff!!! Thanks for a memorable and fun experience!
Enjoyed a reasonably priced meal for 7 and celebrated a birthday too! Staff and water were attentive and awesome. I did make reservations a day before to ensure we did not have to wait...strongly suggest to reserve before you go...even if only 2 people!
We had an amazing experience! Justin R. Was so attentive to our family and he made my daughters day as we celebrated her 13th birthday. Everything was great from the service to the food. Wherever I go, I will ask to be seated in Justin R. section. Hes so great and he has the most raspy voice that draws you in. Thanks so much Justin!
The inside is amazing and nice for sure a great attraction for kids.As far as the food goes by far the nastiest food ever the food tasted like it came out of a frozen box from Kroger’s. I imagined the food was going to be amazing for how much I was paying4 adults and one didn’t order any food, 2 kids and 2 bud lights we paid $185 tab just for them to toss the food in the trash.I will only come back for the attraction for the kids and maybe a drink.
Still a fun place for the family.... getting a bit dated!
The food and experience was pretty good. We did however have to wait about an hour and a half for our food due to a technical difficulty which isnt on them but it really was a bummer. But we did have an amazing waiter named Mulontaey, very outgoing and helpful.
After waiting more than an hour and fifteen (as was estimated) on a Monday afternoon, we were finally seated. There was one host/hostess for people at the front. We were finally seated and ordered. My food was okay, but our waiter wasn’t very attentive. The service was incredibly slow. The floor was filthy, we were the restrooms. For the prices, not worth it. Terrible experience.
Service was slow. Food is way overpriced and bland. Ambiance is great. Love the fish tanks.
Food was good, and our server Jonathan was great! Will be back.
This is an awesome place for kids and your family. I took my daughters there and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere is amazing just like a rain forest or similarly a jungle. Every 20 minutes theres a rain storm inside of the restaurant and the kids loved it. The waiters scream and shout and sing for patrons its really an amazing please if not a bit overpriced as far as the food. Thats the only reason I gave it a 4 star. I felt as if you are paying for the ambiance. Even though great, the food could have been a little less. All in all still a great place to experience.
This is a fun place to eat with the animatronics and rainforest decor. We enjoyed eating here and the floor was delicious
Would give a negative star if i could. This is my second time visiting this location. Made a reservation a week beforehand for 12 15. Finished my shopping early and asked if we could go ahead and check in since there were only 4 tables being used. Was told i could not be seated before my scheduled time. Checked in for my reservation at 12 10 and my table was still not ready. Waited 45 min for just drinks to come out. And about another hourr before our food was ready. I understand being busy but they were not. Seriously only 4 tables were being used.
Kids loved it
It was great in every way except it takes forever to get your food. It was a good 30 to 40 minutes for burgers and sandwiches.
We didnt eat here, but it attracted us to look around. Beautiful set up inside and out. Fish tanks are beautiful
I had a great time here, the animatronic animals all over the restaurant hiding in the ceiling covered in trees. It was super cool. They could work on their food tho. It was good, but it wasnt great like the scene they created. Overall excellent experience tho!
Super fantastic atmosphere, food, and terrific staff! Expect to pay to get the best! Welcome to Grapevine Mills ;)
Was a great experience for the family and I . Almost the same as the one Disney world. Service was great, hard to get reservations ( which is understandable) . Just need to be bit more cleanly . We had to clean off our table. Food was okay. It’s more about the experience for the kids .
Really cool place! Very unique & exquisite! Only gave it 4 stars cause their animals can be quite loud. Very neat idea though. Defiantly check it out!
The kids loved it! The food is overpriced but I guess youre paying for the experience. The waiter was great! The bathrooms were really gross tho maybe because it was the end of the day😅
Prices could be better but u pay for the experience I think. Its so cool when the animals move my 2 year old love growling back at them! Definitely recommend this place for kids to eat for special occasions
This is a good place to visit strictly for atmosphere. If you want fresh food or good service, this isnt the place. Our food was clearly not fresh and just not good. Fun for my child but Id suggest grabbing dessert only and skip the entrees.
Had a good time with the family. Food was good, the character displays are awesome. A great place to play I spy with my eye with little ones. Had a little bit of a wait, would recommend RSVP beforehand.
Just stopped by to see the cylinder aquariums, and watch the activity of younger crowd having soft fabric animals custom stuffed. Cool.
Great entertainment restaurant for kids.
Best staff experience youll find anywhere. Landrys trains there employees well. Food was great. Cooked perfect. Not just close, but perfect. Kids love it there too.
The decorations are awesome. We all got our food a different times, spread out over about 10 minutes till all 7 of us had our food. I was the last to get mine and it was cold so I dont understand why we had to wait at all because it was obviously ready for quite a while. Not worth 20+ dollars to get a cold meal thats meant to be hot.Waitresses and waiters seemed spread too thin. Had to wait for 2 hours to get seated because they were socially distancing... For half of the day anyway. Didnt mind waiting, I loved that it was socially distanced when we sat down, but halfway through our meal, they filled every single table near us, and left 2 rows of tables empty that they could have been used to socially distance instead.Never been here before and will never go back.It is not worth the money. The lack of service, cold food, lack of consistency in their guidelines. If you want the cool experience of being in a simulated rainforest, I suggest you find another way.
Awful experience. Was told at 5:30pm it would be 45min wait on a Monday night; and an hour and a half later still no table. With small children this is difficult. The restaurant was empty! I could see perhaps 3 tables being used. The greeter was very unprofessional, would roll her eyes at customers and in various occasions simply walked away from the front desk for very long periods of time leaving myself and other customers waiting on an update. Upon her return she told customers and myself that the time was over 2hours now.. Ladies and Gentlemen by 8pm I still did not have a table and the greeter was no where in sight. I had to just leave. The food here is disgusting so not that I missed out, but it was infuriating to waste all that time. Even my 2 year old says she now hates this place for not being nice to us and making us wait so long lol.
The most horrible experience. Don’t go to the one in Grapevine Vine Mills. After waiting for two hours the waiter missed my order, my husband’s food came out but mine was never placed. He submitted my order, then messed up my order. The manger was notified twice, I ended not eating. After all this ordeal they didn’t give us any discounts nor comp anything, instead we left a tip!
We visited Rainforest Cafe recently and it was fine. The animals and decor were fun for kids and the service was friendly. The food was very expensive for what you got and my grilled chicken sandwich was fairly meh. Its kind of a cool restaurant, but I cant imagine going without children or more than once.
The service was great from the hostess to our waiter and even the manager. They each were terrific. The food was just as we wanted and fairly priced. Of course, the atmosphere was over the top. And being members of Landrys Select Club saved us a huge amount of time getting in a out. It was a perfect visit!
Wait time was an hour no problem serving was an hour and then one of our meals was totally wrong the other was burnt and we didnt have any silvery we asked for it 5 times
