I took the day of of work, basically because I usually work six days a week, and I do not like to use my weekend off for vehicle maintenance. I had use Leo and Eds a couple times before for oil changes, but its been at least a year since Id been there. I made an appointment at least 2 weeks ago, letting them know Id wait, because the previous two times before I waited. I asked when I made my appointment if I could have a radiator flush and fill while they changed the oil. They said they could do it, but it takes a little longer. So this morning I arrived for my 8 am appointment, they thought I was dropping it off, I said no, Ill wait. He said well it will be about 3 hours. I told him to forget about it.In the past I never waited more than an hour. Apparently it doesnt matter if you make an appointment, although Ill never go back. What a waste of my time.

BY FAR WORST EXPERIENCE AND THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE A STAR! So today March 27th I drove there and dropped off my car and placed the keys in the glove box. And I locked all the doors except the passenger side. So I get a call while I am at work about them being unable to find the keys. Which I informed them that the keys were in the glove box and I left the passenger door open. I also got another call in the afternoon telling me that he took the car for a drive and was unable to find anything major wrong just some minor things that he was under the impression that just some balancing needed to be done with the tires. And he was going to take it for another ride. After i explained that usually the wobbling happens upon me slowing down. So I let them know I would be there before 330p. I get to the dirty shop and walk uo to the garage to notice, a gentlemen using tools to try prying my door open. I am confused abd stop him by asking him what was he doing. My car is on RUNNING and slightly lifted in the air. I tell him i have a spare and out comes the owner i assume. Attempting to tell me to cut that out and get the spare. I get my spare open the door and my car door is completely scratched and chipped up from the prying. I ask him why was i not called before they got to trying to pry the door open. He responds saying that the door locks when you shut it. DUH IF THE CAR IS ON AND IN DRIVE! he starts speaking about his reviews blah, blah. And apologized and it was complety not sincere. We exchange words and he is again trying to talk over me And i told him to put my car down and i was done with the rudeness. Because i was paying him and not him paying me. Of course he responds extremely rude and before i know it. Im yelling arguing with the man. He pulls my car out and im arguing about the service. He had my car from 7a-3p and could only suggest the car needed some balancing. Horrible place and glad i didnt spend my money. Money is never the issue. So good reviews this one star!

These guys are the real deal. They are honest and reliable, and on top of that very friendly. Been searching for a solid, affordable place to get my oil changes, and the search ends here. I love that I can schedule them ahead of time too.The last place I went pulled a fast one on me and performed and charged me for a far more expensive oil change without asking, and before I could even mention that experience they said theyd call me if they had to do anything above the standard. Really appreciate that.No waiting area (that I saw) just FYI, but in covid times Id prefer to walk the Creston neighborhood instead anyway. :)Thanks yall. When my car was having issues, two different friends recommended Leo and Eds. They were up-front about what I might expect with getting my car fixed. I spoke with Rick and Brad a few times over the phone about my repair and they were always open with me, which I appreciated. They explained what was going on with my car and what my options were in a manner that was easy-to-understand. I would highly recommend them to any friends in the greater GR area.

Go here if you dont mind your car being just driveable and attempted emotional manipulation on you because they want to make you believe they did a good deed for you so you owe them for putting you over others when theyre so paranoid about people skipping out on their bill they dont have the capacity to create binding contracts to make sure you pay for your whole bill while you use your car to actually have the money to pay for their services. I’m always nervous bringing my car to a shop I haven’t been to before as I’ve been screwed out of a lot of money in the past by other mechanics. I was recommended by the Valvoline on the corner to come to Leo and Ed’s for the issue I was having with my car. I popped by the shop and was taken care of immediately and had insight on what was wrong with my vehicle only a few hours later. I trusted what Rick had to say and felt he had my best interest in mind and it was obvious he was very knowledgeable. I dropped my car off on Monday and got it back Wednesday parts replace and 4 new tires later and it didn’t even break the bank. Tried making several appointments, but was let down due to the fact the owner is not nice and becomes smart with you in regards to questions. When one owns a business No one cares if you’re having a bad day. Said owner should have the decency to be available and of service at any time with a good attitude no matter how their day is going. That makes for good customer service and quality business.

Alright so here is the deal. I loved my experience with Leo & Eds, I went in, the guy was really nice, they took my coupon for a $14 super basic oil change and then the guy even drove my car around the block when I reported a strange noise and noted that a tie rod was loose and I needed a new battery. I thought, cool, Im going to keep going back to these guys and I even recommended them to friends.Then about 2 months later my car wouldnt stay on one morning. I would start it, lights would flicker, it would shudder, and then full stop, nothing. I took it to another repair shop and received some disturbing news...my car had no air filter. The thing is, Leo & Eds was the only shop to touch my car in that time period. My dad replaced my battery himself (I watched) and to be honest I dont think he would even know how to get my air filter out. Anyway, it ended semi-alright with a small bill for cleaning out the built-up gunk and getting a new air filter.I called Leo& Eds to tell them this story because at this point Im thinking,they took my air filter out and forgot to put it back in (there was a bunch of guys and they were quite busy) or they did not notice the lack of an air filter during the inspection (BUT WHERE WOULD IT HAVE GONE SINCE MY LAST OIL CHANGE). However, not only did the guy on the phone tell me he was pretty sure my husband did it (Im not married, oh I mean your boyfriend, you mentioned him working on cars!) but when I deny that anyone has touched my car he repeatedly tells me he doesnt owe me anything but to keep me happy hell buy me a new air filter up to $20 (Even though I dont think I owe you one.Im not saying that 100% it was a screw up on Leo&Eds part and that they refused to take any responsibility......I understand that people probably try to screw with them, but that doesnt change the fact that I had no air filter, no notification of that fact and a subsequent engine repair bill and well, I got called a liar in the process which I dont appreciate. I never went back for that $20 that he didnt owe me anyway.

These guys are awesome. Best price for an oil change in town, even without a coupon. Theyve also done some repairs on our vehicles and have been incredibly fair, well-priced and prompt. I never have an issue making an appointment and am always treated with respect (not something all women can say about their car repair shop).

Fastest fix ever. I called them around 8am asking them to look at my front bumper that was making a grinding sound. They had me come in later that morning, looked it over, found the problem, and fixed it in a bout 30-40 mins. Super friendly, flexible, and fast.

I brought my car to a different shop on 28th st. and was given a quote that seemed quite high to replace a water pump and flush the coolant system. I called Leo and Eds to get a quote and the guy I spoke with used the VIN from my registration to look up my car and gave me a quote that was over $100 lower. (Most shops I called for an estimate refused to give me one over the phone) He then suggested that I tell the shop that my car was currently at, the estimated price from Leo and Eds to see if they would price match so I wouldnt have the inconvenience of moving my car, even though hed love the business. I took his advice and had the work done at the shop my car was at. The shop that did the work did lower the price, but was still around $30 higher than the price quoted by Leo and Eds. I was so impressed with the generosity and honesty of the guy helping me at Leo and Eds that I plan to use them for future services!

Im trying to make this as fair of a review as possible since I used to get good service from Leo and Eds. I started bringing my vehicles to them in 2008 after I bought my first car - a real lemon, unbeknownst to naive little me.Rick actually taught me a lot about vehicles as I had to keep bringing my Lebaron to him. Dont get me wrong, it wasnt shoddy repair work, just the car itself being awful.My next car, a 91 Honda Accord, fared pretty well in their care. I was bummed when my old rust-bucket finally gave way. I truly believe that Rick and Wes did everything they could to keep it alive.Then... I made a mistake. I bought a 2004 Suzuki Forenza from Rick. I didnt do enough research before buying it, so I cant really blame anyone but myself for that. I got over a years use out of it.Then... I made another mistake. I bought a 2005 Ford Freestyle from Rick. $3,000. Thought it was a bit much, but it was still within the KBB range. Did some research on it but didnt look under the hood too much.This car has been a nightmare. And whoever changed the oil there before I bought it stripped the plug and damaged the oil pan. I now have a leak. I also have a transmission that is leaking fluid and doing god-knows-what-else. The vehicle sends itself into limp mode and wont go past 1st gear without a hassle. It is a road hazard.This was a major investment for me, and I feel like I threw $3,000 down the toilet on a vehicle I was assured was road-worthy. The fact that my oil plug and pan were so badly mutilated really irks me. Im really gutted because I trusted the work that was done at Leo and Eds. And I dont want to come on here and badmouth them. But someone messed up some parts on my vehicle, and now I have to pay for it.It seems like Leo and Eds is either getting a full five stars or no star one-star reviews. I have to be honest and place mine in the middle. Yes, there were times when I had to wait several weeks for my car to get returned to me. This place gets busy and has been short-staffed in the past. I tried to look past that.I just cant look past what was done to the Freestyle before I bought it. I will be taking it elsewhere since I cant make the drive and am not sure if I can trust this place anymore. But I really did for a long time.

Best place to have my car serviced... tires rotated, oil change, and straight up answers about when to have my brake pads replaced. Recommend this place completely!

I can always count on Rick to give me the right service without any of the runaround. When I cant afford something hes always real with me about whether or not it can wait. They also have coupons circulating in the local ads regularly that have saved me a lot of money over the few years that the people here have serviced my vehicles.

It is tough to find a good mechanic that is honest in this day and age. Rick and his team do great work at fair prices. My wife and I, our parents, my sister and more than a few people that I know have been using Leo and Eds for years and have had nothing but great experience with them. For me personally hey have done everything from oil changes, tires, brakes, radiator...I have recommended them to a few friends and they all thanked me for doing so. I walked in, they quickly diagnosed my problem, told me I didnt need the more expensive fix I thought I needed, made the fix happen for a very good price, and had me on my way in no time. I also wanted some work done that they dont do, and they have very helpful information about who does that work and what to expect when dealing with that company.
