Great guys. Most do a great job. I cant make appointments due to my work schedule i might not make an appointment so i just walk in. 99% of the time i cant get my own guy and about 60% of the time no one has any availability. But all in all the guys there do great work. Although id like to go back to the way they did things a couple years ago.

My kid got an excellent cut here without an appointment, we did have to wait an hour and a half. Worth it for a great cut! I recommended my twin nephews here and they got a great cut with an appointment. My adult son made an appointment for a cut for today and says he got blew off. He only had limited time for a cut and said you kept taking walk ins while he waited untill time was up and he had to go. Maybe your over scheduling a bit too much or just prioritizing walk ins over appointments? But you give great cuts. Just might not keep appointments!

Wow, upsetting experience and from the business owner himself, Adam.I arrived at 11 AM to see if they had any cancellations for the day. Adam said he would happily squeeze me in if his 11 AM didnt show. They ended up showing, but the host, Arianna, said there was an opening at 12:30 and said she would add my name as an appointment.I decided to eat and wait around at the mall. I arrived at Modern by 12:30 exactly. Adam was still finishing a haircut, so I checked in with the host, where I was quoted another five more minutes. I told her I would browse at Spencers while I waited. At 12:40, Adam was still finishing his previous haircut so I went to the restroom, not thinking that would be an issue. After returning not 2 mins later, Adam rudely saysSorry, I finished the haircut, and you werent in the waiting room, so Im going to take my 1 PM appt. Ill take you after…….How could you quote someone an appointment time, be late, and then give my time away?As a business owner, why would you only allow a 30 min window for a Premium Haircut? A standard cut for the price you are charging is 45min-1hr.Why would you allow your 1st patron of the day a 15 min waiting window and not the next? I patiently waited for you to finish your haircut. Could you not wait for me to use the restroom?Please dont go here; its a waste of your money. My first haircut wasnt that great from here. And with this being my second Impression, Ill never return.

This Barber Shop is the best of the best. David did an amazing job on both my kiddos. Attention to detail, outstanding customer service, & comforting atmosphere is outstanding. If you think the cost is to high, you will be pleasantly surprised, the cost is perfect for the service and the awesome haircut you will not get anywhere else.

Made an appointment. Get there. Wait for 10 minutes for the kid at the front to figure out his job. Said they didn’t put me down because it was a “maybe”. How is it a maybe when you say, “thanks I’ll be there.”?They offer me a 5pm slot after I waited all day already. Told them I’d find somewhere else. Kid says, “good luck with that.” so passive aggressively that you’d think they were the only place in town. Shouldn’t have expected anything more from a barbershop in a mall.

I took my 1 yr old nephew to get his first haircut. They us right in. Of course the baby didnt stay very still but Julian did awesome with him. Very patient with him and did an awesome job! Im from out of town but would highly recommend him!!

Came from Hawaii to visit relatives and I needed a haircut bad. Researched around google and yelp and I felt that this establishment was the best: Its all about the fade with no lines!Looked online for an appointment and saw that Gustavo -aka Guti- had one spot available at 4pm. I was a little worried if this establishment was for me, so I went earlier in the morning to check out the haircuts and they seemed pretty solid.Guti knows how to cut hair real well and keeps that fade tight. He is pretty humble for the amount of talent he got. Awesome customer service too, makes you feel special and seems to be genuinely interested in talking and helping you.Clean establishment, friendly staff, great haircuts: I am super happy I found this joint, a haircut this quality in Hawaii is more expensive.

Its so hard to find a place that can do legit razor fades and this place is definitely one of the few that still have the skills to do it.

Walked into Modern Man for a scheduled online appointment with David on the first day they opened after quarantine restrictions had been eased. It was my first trip into Modern Man and I have to say David gave me a great cut, he was on point for what I wanted. This is place is comfortable, friendly and fun, and I will be returning from now on!! Keep up the good work David and Modern Man Barbershop!!

These guys are just amazing. I normally get a clean shaven head, and trimmed beard. It becomes a full pampered treatment with nifty techniques used. Each barber also has their own style and signature. I have had 4 different barbers and all have exceeded my expectations. They are true artists.

Best mens barber in town!

This place was absolutely GARBAGE I asked for a fade and they didn’t give me a fade at all and to top that, the back of my head was WAY longer than the front. I tried this place 5 times and only the first one was a good cut. The prices are never the same one time I payed 15 and then the next time I payed 30 for the same cut. And to finish this all up when I make an opponent at 5:30 I shouldn’t have to wait tell 6:30 when I show up 15 minutes early. If there was an option for zero stars I would pick that. NEVER going there again

Top notch!We have brought our 6 year old son here twice now. Kids cuts are super affordable, and they do an exceptional fade. Julian does a great job blending my sons alopecia into a nice pattern. My son feels confident and cool, instead of self-conscious!

These guys have skill. They never disappoint even if you see a new barber than your usual. They can do any service and are so accommodating and patient with my 5 year old. The atmosphere is great and has the essence of a mans barber shop but is still child friendly enough to be comfortable.

Im a person who is real meticulous with my hair. I use to drive 45 minutes to my old barber when I lived in South Carolina. Thankfully this spot is located within a few minutes of where I currently stay. Adam always gives a 5 star treatment. If your a person who cares about your hair and want the cleanest zero fade on the western slope, hit up modernman barbershop. You will not be disappointed. I guarantee it 💪🏽

Been getting my hair cut from my boyy Sam for years now highly recommend him or anyone else that cuts hair there they all do really good!

High end price low end services. I would prefer not to pay $25 plus tip for cost cutter type services. Your told your going to get high end services at a modern barbershop but get far less then that. David faded my hair left a half inch of hair on one side completely unblended he never gave me a proper consultation.They do not shampoo or style your hair basically you walk out of there looking like a idiot and paying three times what you would pay at cost cutters and getting the same service. David is clearly not looking for return customers and modern man is not a high end barbershop your better off going to a cosmetology school at least you go in there knowing your hair is going to be a school project.

In town for my mother’s funeral and needed a hair cut. Made an appointment with David for the next morning and he never showed. Mark came in but he was booked. He said he would squeeze me in. The guy who had the appointment in front of me let me go first. Mark was great and did a great job. Make sure you don’t ask for David. Thanks again to the guy a head of me.

I went there today and this place exceeded my expectations. I am from Washington state on vacation and wanted a place to get a straight razor shave and a goatee trim. They were precise in making everything straight. I had a great experience and there prices were the best that I have seen. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a shave. Thank you again.

I took my son to Adam for a cut. I was pleasantly surprised at the detail and precision of his work. Unfortunately, we were only in town for a family event or else this would be our new regular spot. We are definitely going back when we visit Grand Junciton again!

I am happy to report that the entire staff had exemplarary customer service and my haircut came out fantastic. Josh and Atila made my visit perfect, i highly reccomend this Barber shop. Thank you Adam and team.I would really love to give a 5 star here but from my last experience I have to drop my rating significantly. I had my hair cut here twice previously, always on a Saturday as a walk in. Both haircuts were great and I was very impressed and excited to find a good barber. This last Saturday I came in and was greeted by a very friendly barber who remembered me as I went to put my name down on their list. Another, older gentleman who appeared to also help there then told me they had about a 30-45 minute wait. With the given wait time I figured I should stay close, well it wasnt untill 90 minutes later that I got a call. I was told head on down as they would have a Barber available in 10 minutes. I was just in the mall so 6 minutes later I was sitting in their waiting area, where I continued to wait for another 25 minutes before finally just getting up and leaving. To be clear, I can wait 2 hours for my haircut, but when you are told 30-45 minutes and then waiting an additional 25 minutes once expected to be ready, there in lies the issue. Not sure what happened there, I know estimating a wait time is not an exact science however this was unacceptable. Disappointed to say that I wont be handing out anymore of the business cards I collected on my first visit.

The barber that cut my sons hair had no idea what a comb over was and we didnt find out until the hair cut was done and he swore up and down that it was one. I asked him, before he started cutting my sons hair, if he knew how to do a fade and he said yes but again he made it look like he went school in a Cracker Jack box. I dont recommend going there.

The place is pretty cool, but had my 2 boys hair cuts there and they were butchered, uneven, shorter on one side then the other, straight up butchered. 20 bucks plus tip for each hair cut was pricey. Maybe my kids were moving around or maybe the dude cutting their hair was having an off day. Dont want to dog them too much, like I said the place seemed pretty cool though.
