Rolled up on my bicycle to get a haircut but didnt see a bike rack, so I start looking for something to lock my bike to. Chris - the owner - pops out and asks if Im looking to get my haircut, to which I say yes, and he invites me to bring my bike inside. Way to make an excellent first impression! But of course that alone wouldnt be enough for a five star review: he was very personable and gave me an excellent haircut; my wife says its the best one Ive had since we moved here!

Distinguished barber studio has earned its name. The staff are all friendly and professional. The prices are great ($25 for a haircut). Trust me, if youre thinking about going somewhere cheap like fantastic sams or somewhere else just to save a buck, remember, you get what you pay for. Here, the Distinguished barbers make your visit personal and are actually fun to talk to. This is definitely the only spot Im going for haircuts. I used to dread getting a haircut but Im actually looking forward to my next haircuts. I went in with no description of what I wanted other than make it look professional and they gave me a... Distinguished haircut and beard trim. They turned a rag tag mop of long unruly hair into something that actually looks good.Word of warning, the google listing indicates that they take reservations. They do not take reservations, its just first come first serve.

First time in and I had never had a better place to get a haircut. Had my Barber Chris do the job and he was fantastic! Super friendly, very passionate about his job, and just a very good barber overall. Will Continue to come here often and I appreciate their work!

Im always on the move and it’s been challenging finding a great barbershop. Over the years I’ve found a few, but none as great as Distinguished in GJ!Chris, the owner really cares about his staff and customers. He constantly praises every guest as they enter or leave the building. In between haircuts, he’ll take the time to great everyone waiting or compliment his staff on one of their haircuts there working on. It’s really just a great vibe.No appts needed, making it very convenient for someone needing a quick touch up. I can go on and on about this place because I love when I see Amazing Service! Distinguished Barbers is a great place to get your haircut for multiple reasons. They take a lot of pride in their work which shows. The crew is very personable and listen to what you are looking for. Even if you dont have a clear idea in your head they will work with you on the idea you do have. It is worth going to and joining in the party at Distinguished.

First I want to say like anything in life worth having it takes time and patience. Ive seen Some reviews about a wait time and in this day and age us as people need to learn patience once again. This was by far the best beard trim and shave Ive had and highly recommend them to anyone looking for professionalism and quality work. Great people fantastic work. First place getting my haircut since moving to Colorado. Had the owner(Chris) cut my hair and he did a phenomenal job! Set my hair looking all good. Gave me a nice clean shave on the face and it looks amazing! Definitely glad I went and let him Cut it.

I had my hair cut by Lauren. She was personable and friendly and gave an excellent cut. The vibe at Distinguished is awesome. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and the quality of the service was excellent. I would absolutely recommend this barbershop.

I needed a hair cut for a job interview, and the owner Chris cut my hair personally. I have never enjoyed a haircut more than when I went here. Chris gave me a great cut and a great confidence boost for my job interview. I can say that there will be no other place that I will go for a haircut while I live in Grand Junction.

Overall amazing experience. Chris, the owner, cut my hair. He was very comfortable to be around with his jokes and lovely Memphis accent. Hooked me up with a beautiful part for only 25 bucks, and it didn’t even take that long. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future.

Best barber ever. The owner *Chris* has an amazing personality. Ramon is the barber as soon as you walk in *he cuts my hair most of the time* he will have a personal connection with you. Doesn’t talk to much witch is amazing. The whole place has just this up lifting energy that just makes you wanna go back. The barbers know what they are doing. They are behind that chair for a reason. Either if there white, black, Asian, Jewish etc. They are behind that chair for a reason. When Chris is done cutting hair. He will go by to every person, and either give them a high five. Or even give them a hug. You never know what your gonna get

Great barbers who do a good job, but wait time can rack up real fast. With so many walk-ins it can get pretty crazy specially if they take the customers that just walked in when youve been waiting for over an hour just because they are in a hurry. Regardless, Ive been here a couple of times now and have always walked out satisfied with my cut. Can say Ill be going back if Im the area.

Walked in on a Saturday morning to a lively spot with friendly faces. Chris cut my hair and changed my life. No lie the best hair cut Ive got in grand junction! Theyre friendly, astonishing at fades, great price and my personal opinion the best barbershop in junctio! These guys know what theyre doing and when they say I got you, they mean it. You can go in there not knowing what kind of cut you want and theyll still let you walk out 10x fresher than how you walked in. If anyone asked me a barber shop Id recommend this one, hands down.

My nearly 6yr old son decided to lose his long hippie hair. We did some shavings at home (he hated it), but decided it was better to let the professionals handle things, so off to Distinguished we went. My boy is very...vocally expressive.. To say all present that day should’ve walked out of there with some degree of hearing loss, that at one point I thought glass might shatter, is no exaggeration. Though I was mortified, the men in the shop were patient and not at all phased, totally chill. Despite the “trauma”, my son walked out of the shop loving his cut (it was excellent) and exuding confidence, and eventually became excited for his next visit. For his second visit, the owner happily and confidently took on what I was hoping to be a better experience for everyone involved, and it was. Through not only words but also actions, Chris Mattox (owner) expressed the importance of investing in younger generations and his eagerness to do so at the barber shop. We have definitely found the right barber shop and I would highly encourage anyone of any age to stop in, you won’t be disappointed.

While this is definitely a place for men, I felt welcomed and that they were happy to have me there. Went to distinguished to get a fresh cut and hot shave, not expecting the experience I recieved. From the moment you walk in the door everyone treats you like a long lost friend. Not only that but when you sit in the chair to get a cut you feel a sense of assurance that you will be treated right. Wonderful Place, super relaxed atmosphere. My hair is difficult with cowlicks and thick. Chris knew exactly how to handle it and also showed me how useful a hair dryer can be. Cant recommend it enough.
