I have had multiple good experiences with Sonora Life. The receptionist Piani is so sweet and helpful as well as the receptionist Lakota who is very knowledgeable about both locations and was very friendly. I had only one visit with the therapist Monica at the Goodyear location and she’s honestly just a breath of fresh air. You feel like you are talking to a friend when you are with her. I am very happy I chose to come to Sonora Life Therapy.

Made an appointment far in advance since booking was full the day finally comes and they tell me my appointment was at a different time even though I wrote everything down the moment I made the appointment. She then tried to reschedule me for another time which is a good 3 weeks out. Total waste of time.

Scheduled several appointments in advance. They called several weeks later to reschedule and i requested to have them email or mail me the new appointments as i was not in a place to write them down at the time. The appointment was missed as i did not have it on my calendar and they never sent the new schedule. Their policy is to cancel all appointments without contacting the patient. The young lady at the front desk was not interested in trying to reschedule, only collect their missed appointment fee. I can accept the missed appointment fee but to cancel everything after without even checking in on the patient? This place has no interest in wellbeing, money only. Ill be seeking help for my child greiving the loss of his mother elsewhere.

Made me wait so long that when the representative came back on the line she didnt say hello, she picked up asking if I was still on the line. Then I was told they couldnt schedule my appointment unless I could provide my insurance information right that second. This place must be at capacity because theyre definitely not trying to gain any new patients.

Katherine was terrible my boyfriend and I have had 5 sessions with her and she cannot even remember our names let alone look at them before we come in so she doesnt look so rude. She also was the most one-sided counselor in the world we both noticed her only caring if one did their homework not if the other one did putting blame on one and none on the other basically making us both leave feeling worse and never even giving us any talking points or teaching us how to talk to each other. Do not visit this women and expect help.

Spent 15 minutes on the phone scheduling an appt, including giving all contact and insurance information. My husband cant schedule hours from work, so he took an entire day off for the appt. Showed up to the appt and they couldnt find our information anywhere. Wish Id of paid attention to other reviews. Total waste of my time!

This was my daughters 1st time meeting with Katherine let alone ever seeing a councelor. Katherine asked what brought her in? When she began sharing with Katherine the trauma she began crying. Katherines response was that she doesnt think this is traumatic experience but rather an emotional one. Instead of seeing my daughter once a week she thought once every two weeks would be a better fit. We soon realized Katherine wasnt even available for another 5weeks. My daughter left feeling like the whole trip was a waste of time and do feelings even matter? Shame on you Katherine for tarnishing a potential outlet and opportunity for healing.

Was hoping this place wasn’t as bad as the reviews. Front desk Erica is non communicative and very unhelpful. No one was even at front desk upon arrival a client came out to tell us they were running late with our therapist. We had no idea and sat for 45 minutes....... Therapist was okay but, I am sure I am going elsewhere on behalf of Erica. Nothing was set up for our appointment. Edit: I have heard from derick once...... I tried to call every single day this week with NO answer for an appt. I finally have gotten ahold of the front desk and a ladyh named Tina anwered I heard her screen my call. I am supposed to stick to thsi weekly and it took me almost a week to even get a call back after emails and voicemails. Sad!

A day before my appointment I received a call from an employee stating that the counselor who my appointment was scheduled with is not contracted with my insurance. I understand that things get by passed but dont wait until the last minute to contact someone.

I left in shock I couldn’t believe what I had just gone through. Here I am exposing my vulnerability for the things I have been through. I waited weeks to get an appointment then they cancel due to their schedule change. I finally get in and it was a horrible experience I felt judged and insulted at the things that were said.

Peaceful atmosphere when you walk in. Welcoming.
