I’m new to the area, it was My first time at this nail salon, I came in for a new set and a gel pedicure.Worst experience ever! First, during my pedicure I was not asked if I preferred my toenails trim cut or filed the guy completely cut all my toenails down to the skin & was completely uneven. Being an everyday sandal wearer, I prefer them long.Secondly another nail technician comes to the pedicure station and started removing my oldAcrylic set by a nail clipper& she started cutting the nails very rapidly when she got to my index finger she went down to the skin when I said ouch she kept going and cut me til I started bleeding.I yelled please Stop Im Bleeding! please get theantiseptic she put the solution on my finger it burned terribly, and all she said was sorry.After my pedicure was finished, I went to the nail station and another lady Tina started to finish theremoval of the nails and at this point, I’m so seriously in pain that I decided to not get the full set that I intended on getting but asked for a gelmanicure instead. Finally, when my services were done The woman Tina, charged me $101 for the service and by this time, Im super shocked because she knows that I’m not happy with my experience, and when I paid the money that she charged me, she then had the nerve to ask me for a tip! I will never go back to this shop I will always tell everybody I know to never go to this place they are insensitive awful people.

She sanded off skin around my nail by trying to work too quickly instead of accurately (ouch!). Now the skin is sore and I had to put Neosporin on it to heal. She filed the nails very uneven. I wish she would’ve taken the time to file the nails straight instead of just trying to get the nails done as fast as she could. I’m very unhappy with the sores on my skin from this manicure. Huge bummer.

Most of the workers are pretty nice but you do not feel welcomed when you walk in; personally i feel rushed. i once set up an appointment thinking it would be quicker but they prioritized the walk in customers more than me. i got my nail by a lady that was nice but she didn’t know what she was doing. i have long nail beds and she tried filing my cuticles but she made them look scratched and uneven. the nails came out bumpy. i would not go back to this place, even if it has a decent location.

Nails were overpriced, rushed, too thick, & not the length i asked for. everytime the guy messed up the design he wouldn’t even fix them, he kept getting frustrated.. like i payed you $100??? these nails were barely worth $40.

I live in Carpinteria and my previous nail salon closed down due to COVID. I have been to Ocean Nails twice and both times I had the pleasure of having Ivy work on my nails. She is great! Super accommodating and helpful. Will definitely be driving back to see her again soon.

I am really very disappointed because there was a lack of professionalism. The employers are neither friendly nor gentle, a serious feeling of being extra plus the manager misinformed us about the prices we know we end up paying double for a job that is not worth it. I advise against it, the result is not worth its price!!

BEST mani/pedi I’ve had. JOHNNY was a very detailed and thorough nail tech. As I was about to leave, he noticed a smudge on my toe and fixed it, while other salons would pretend to not see it. Dip powder mani was recommended by a loyal client there and it was the best! P21 is an excellent color, perfect neutral. I am so happy with my experience here.

The ladies are very nice however the overall quality of the service is poor. When you’re paying over $100 for a service, it should be flawless and a job well done. My service was rushed and half done. I won’t be back.

I have never done dip powder when getting my nails done until I went to Ocean Nails for the first time and got it done. The woman that did my ombré nails did such a wonderful job and it came out beautiful! The music was so relaxing and the environment was very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place! Definitely worth it! :D

I went to do my eyebrows recently and the lady was clearly rushing to them, she made one way smaller then the other and completely ruined it! She charged me more than she had previously for doing a terrible job! First time coming to Ocean Nails. Johnny did a good job on my nails ! First time trying Dip power! They treat you like a priority. They make you feel very comforting. They make conversation with you. I will definitely be coming back!!! 😁

What a delightful experience! No matter which technician works on you, you obtain a consistently excellent service. I particularly love their offering of dip polish—no curing light, quick removal, extremely long lasting (3 weeks with no chips!), and nail strengthening! The owners are very personable, and they go out of their way to ensure a successful and happy experience. They also give back to the community in various ways, which is a bonus in my opinion!

This was the one and only time I will go into this establishment. The techs got upset with me for asking them to remove the polish from the edges of my manicure; my pedicure was horrible, and the overall feel of the place is very low-class. They don’t have whirlpools in their pedi chairs, nor do they have a proper drying station for wet polish. I’ve had better service at a salon school!

Ana, V, and Hai, to name a few are wonderful. Ive been going here for about a year now and I wont stray. Everyone is courteous, fast, and good at their art. Love Ocean Nails and would 100% always recommend.

The girls there were really sweet. I went there with my little sister and they explained to her in detail about powder nail polish. 10/10 experience overall.

I stopped by here when in town for a few weeks visiting family and felt like I needed a little pampering and boy did I get it! Very clean salon with nice people. I had a spa pedicure and it was the best pedicure I have ever had. While my toes were drying my nail technician asked if I wanted my nails cut and buffed. I normally dont ever get my nail painted, so this was perfect. She cut and buffed my nails to a beautiful natural shine, polish free! I also got a great arm and leg massage my treatments. Next time Im in town, I will definitely be going back, I just wished I lived closer! Highly recommended.

The staff are all very friendly, professional, and do wonderful nails. Great prices, very clean, and their equipment cleaning procedures are posted at every station!. Ill definitely return!

Overall they’re a decent shop! But a few things they should work on, is being up front on prices before they even start your services. I come to this shop every now and then. I was recently here on 1-27-2019, and I know a regular manicure and pedicure cost $40 all together. As I’m in the tub soaking my feet, I noticed they’re not like other nail salons. Like any other nail salon they’re suppose to put epsom salt in the tub and leave you to soak so it can soften up the calluses on your feet. This salon here only puts your feet in luke warm water, so they can charge you a extra $10 to scrub your feet and I’m not talking a deluxe pedicure or the extra calluses treatment. They’re pretty much charging you extra for what’s suppose to be included in a regular pedicure already. Now it’s time for my manicure, I already had gel from previous and I didn’t want gel again I just wanted a regular manicure. The lady starts my hands and takes off the gel and starts the trim, but right before the paint she asks “would you like to pay first?” Sure, I give her my card all together expecting to pay $50 my bill come back $56. I ask her “why the extra?” She states it’s extra $5 to remove gel. How is is extra five to remove gel if I’m already getting a manicure included with my pedicure ? And you’re going to to remove it anyways? I can see it being extra $5 if I just wanted to get the gel removed and that was it, but the extra $5 shouldn’t be included if I’m already getting a full manicure with my pedicure.

We are an event venue and often send our brides and their girls down to Antonio at Ocean, he is so nice. Everyone there is very nice, the shop is super clean and well equipped. This is our favorite nail shop for consistantly good work and super friendly service!

I dont like the work on my nails

Everyone had the same time for their appointment 3:00. The place was unorganized and chaotic. The staff rude and service poor. I had a mani-pedicure that was poorly done and overpriced!! Never again.

Im new to the area and in need of a new nail salon that offers colored acrylic powder and/or SNS (dipping) powder. Based on reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I scheduled an appointment (recommended in many of the reviews), although they were not busy (Thursday afternoon) when I arrived.The staff was welcoming, place was clean and the music played was very soothing. I ended up getting an acrylic fill with gel polish since it was the least expensive option ($40).The guy who did my nails was friendly, didnt catch his name. He did an ok job on my nails. I wish hed put the acrylic closer to my cuticle and shaped my nails simiilar to the shape I had when I first came in. However, despite that and the high prices, Ill give them another try simply because the customer service was good.EDIT: Ive gone back twice since my initial review. Much happier with the results since going to Kathy!

If youre looking for a cheap manicure than youve come to the right place, because you definitely pay for what you get. Horrible service, very rude, and hands down (no pun intended) the worst manicure I have ever received. Dont waste your time, or money. Go somewhere else.

This is the best nail spa to go to!!!! I took my mom here for her birthday and they treated us wonderfully. From observation, I would feel comfortable with any staff members here, but shout out to Mike who has a lot of character AND does a really good job. All of the staff was friendly, genuine, and experienced. The facility is clean and relaxing; its easy to de-stress here. I dont make a habit of getting my nails done but i will now that Ive found a great place!!! Truely a gem and so are all of the staff. If you want to be taken care of AND feel better when you leave then when you walked in, put your trust in Ocean Nails and Spa!!!
