August 2020. Three visits. New patient. Senior citizen (bioscience researcher - retd.). Over one year since last dental visit due to move from Atlanta to North Shore Chicago area/lockdown. (Recently lost a filling.) Detailed evaluation/assessment of dentures, gums and teeth (crown and bridge) presented professionally and candidly. Reassuring of status and and needs with emphasis on retaining and maintaining remaining teeth. No up-sell. Second visit - four fillings painlessly an comfortably accomplished by Dr Lim with excellent assistant. Third visit: Exceptional cleaning by Katie, with helpful suggestions for in-home cleaning and rinsing with non-alcoholic anti-cavity mouthwash to nurture gums. Thankful to find a trustworthy affordable practice and practitioners. No waiting, efficient methods, great support staff. Adhering to best practices for dental clinics during Covid-19.

Ive been going to Glenlake Dental for years. All of the staff is super helpful and willing to do what they can to make the experience great. Dr. Lim is wonderful and such a great dentist. Katie Miller has been the dental hygienist Ive seen a number of times and she is phenomenal. She gave me more information and patient education during my last dental cleaning than I have had collectively from anyone else. I highly recommend her, Dr. Lim and this practice. Im a new patient to Glenlake Dental but will definitely make Dr Lim and his staff my place to go. The technician was friendly, careful while performing the X-rays, and very efficient. Dr. Lim explained what he found in a manner I could understand and alleviated my concerns about two issues. Although he could have recommended further treatment which would have been quite expensive, he assured me that such treatment isnt necessary now. I respect his honesty and enjoyed my visit.

Went in as a new patient to get a composite filling replaced (it had popped off). Was able to get an appointment the next day, pre-fill registration forms before arriving, was greeted and brought in promptly, and was in and out in 30 minutes with them taking care of all insurance related things. You can also book online through their site apparently, which appeals to me. Dr Lim and his staff were nice, personable, and efficient. Will be recommending to my husband that he move to them as well.

I give this place high ratings for Covid 19 cleaningness and prevention. My family and I switched to this practice more than two years ago. Having various services such as dental cleaning and occasional cavity work we never had an issue with any of their services. Since the beginning of pandemic I felt apprehensive about going to the dentist. Having an emergency rooth canal, I had to go here for the crown work. Though I was worried about going in, after seeing their prevention protocols, I felt v comfortable. They follow CDC reccomandations and go beyond with preventive measures. If you are like me, having Covid 19 anxiety but need a dentist, this is the place to go.

Katie was very helpful and professional as always, just as was the office staff. The follow ups during the Covid crisis was extremely helpful. To be able to get an appointment on the first day after the lockdown was amazing. Dr. Lim was thorough and took the time to explain things.

Im very grateful to have found this office after many unpleasant visits to other offices. Very professional and courteous staff. Theyre usually ready for me early if Im early and have never been running late for my appointments.

I appreciate how he takes time to answer all my questions. Dr. Lim has mastered repair and bonding of my aging teeth. Of course, he couldnt perfect his work, without the awesome assistance of Vonya. Dr. Lim and Vonya work incredibly harmonious together! Katie, is my dental hygienist. She is lively, enthusiastic and enjoys getting to know you. She will zero in on what areas you can better brush, and will educate you for at home care. A day at Glenlake is not complete unless youve met Tamara, who helps with appointments, dental treatment plans and financing. Tamaras Loveliness is like a fresh bouget of flowers! I have been a patient of Glenlake Dental for 20 years and have been treated as well as conceivably possible. All this from the surgical procedures, filling replacement and prophylaxis to the natural friendliness of everyone who works there, in my 68 years Ive never been to a more competent and comfortable dentistry operation. They will make you take xrays for no reason every time you come in, just to take your insurance money. There are better dentist offices out there that are honest and know what they’re doing.

Very very worst service. They were telling initially like everything is free for dental cleaning as they told like your Insurance covered for cleaning. But, after cleaning they charged me $200. I asked reason and they did not respond me properly. They argued lot on this... Always telling lies only..I dont like that... I went some other care also.....I did not see this kind of worst service... cheating me..

I have had some serious dental issues over the past three years and the professional staff at Glenlake Dental handled all of them very professionally and with minimal discomfort. Some of these issues were not covered by Dental Insurance and their pricing was extremely competitive. Dr. Lim the practice leader is honest and straight forward. Dr, Nouneh who preformed oral surgery for me, did an outstanding job and Marina the hygienist rocks. No one loves the Dentist lets be honest, but these guys make it a better than normal experience.

The x-rays were done ok, and my teeth are in fairly good condition. I was notified of some issues, and that is ok, but I was never notified of these in the past. I was slightly skeptical, but I will go back for one more visit, and see how my gut feels about the place. REVISION #2; I would not recommend this place.

Dr. Lim is an EXCELLENT dentist. He is very thorough and meticulous. He replaced a faulty filling from my previous dentist, and replaced two other fillings I had for over 30 years! Fast forward four years and all of his work is in tact, problem free. While the office doesnt have some of the bells and whistles of my former dentist (TVs, headsets, etc.); the workmanship and honesty of the practice makes it a no brainer. In addition, the hygienists are amazing. I never knew cleanings could be pain free. I know this sounds like Ima paid spokesperson, but this has been my actual experience.

From the very first phone call I made to my most recent visit just last night my experience has been wonderful. My dental care and experience at glenlake Dental has been THE BEST. I have had much dental care throughout my life time. Glenlake Dental ranks number one from all of my previous dental experiences. Having specialistis a huge advantage for me. Their staff is truly great from specialists, hygienist and assistants and the office workers. Dr. Lim has transformed my smile and I am more confident. I had several cavities corrected, a couple cleanings performed, and another couple x-rays done at this place. Im writing my review now after taking several weeks to think about how I was treated and the quality of work that was done on me.To type my entire experience at this practice would take too much space and time. Instead, Ill just list the main points below. Feel free to contact me about the specifics.-I was upcharged on my initial cleaning even though my insurance covers 3 cleanings per year. This was the first red flag.-I initially came to Dr Lim because my past fill-ins were deteriorating. I can feel the holes where the old fill-ins crumbled apart and fell out. These were not fixed or even offered to be filled-in.-A couple cavities that he worked on were apparently on different teeth and so those were corrected. Why not fix, or offer to fix, or quote me on the cost of fixing the initial issue that caused me to come in? On top of that, the cavity that he corrected caused immense pain when biting after the supposed correction was done. I came back the very next day to get it fixed but it wasnt. I had to deal with the pain for over a week and come back again for him to redo the entire fill-in. The best part? I had constant sensitivity/pain on that tooth even after that last visit. I did not want to go back a 4th time so I got it corrected at a different dentist and paid for it out of my own pocket.-When I first came in for my initial inspection, they did a full mouth x-ray. When it came time to get my wisdom teeth pulled out, Dr Lim told me that a panoramic x-ray was needed and Id need to pay out of pocket because my insurance didnt cover it. I was told to schedule about a month out. Weird request but I didnt think much of it. When I come in to get my panoramic x-ray, I find out that they just purchased this machine and I was the first or second patient to try it out! To top it off, this other dentist looks in my mouth and tells me that the wisdom teeth cant be removed here and that Id have to get it done elsewhere. After I left, I contacted a few other dentists to get their opinion. I wanted to know if this panoramic was truly necessary or if they upcharged me again to pay for their new machine. after contacting two other dentists, they tell me that the panoramic is unnecessary if a full mouth x-ray was done. So basically, they wanted me to pay to use their brand new panoramic x-ray machine UNNECESSARILY, just so they can tell me something they should have already known from looking at the full mouth x-rays they took a month back: THAT THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF TAKING MY WISDOM TEETH OUT.At first, I decided that I would just never going to go back and leave it at that. But after thinking about my several visits and their malicious business tactics and Dr Lims shoddy work, I had to share my experience. This is my honest review.
