I brought my little sisters here to get a taste of horseback riding, the trail guides were very respectful and patient and explained to them how to get on/off, slow down, stop, move the horse over to either side and by the end of the ride they knew exactly what to do. We took the oak canyon 1 hr ride and it was really nice and quiet. We had a great time and we will most likely be back next month! Thanks again. (:

I think its been at least 40 years since I last rode a horse so I was nervous but equally excited to find LA Horse Rentals in my neighborhood. Staff is great with selecting THE right horse based on riding experience. I rode a super sweet horse named Star. Our trail guide Meghan was awesome; very personable and attentive to riders questions. Would highly recommend LA Horse Rentals!!!

Enjoyed the one hour Oak Canyon ride. Never even touched a horse before the day of the ride. My guide, Bea, was very nice and very helpful. The horses are well trained and very responsive. Worth whatever time you can find to be there.

I wanted to go horseback riding, but thought it would be too expensive. I decided to research pricing in my area and LA Horse Rentals was super affordable! I booked that night for the next day. I was the only rider in my time slot and Milo was my guide. I went for the 1-hour trip - there was plenty of shade along the trail - but still lots of sunny spots, too. Id say half and half. We had a wonderful conversation and a great time. Milo was nice and easy to talk to. He even took photos and videos on my phone for me of me on the horse while we were on the trail - they came out really nice. :) I highly recommend LA Horse Rentals and Milo for your horseback riding experience!

We did the Oak Canyon 1 Hour Ride. The guide was on her phone while riding the entire time. She hardly spoke or guided us at all apart from yelling left or right after we would ask for direction. The group was mostly made up of beginner riders. We were lucky to have one experienced person other than the guide, and that person gave us more assistance than the one paid.

Best ride I had in a while. Been 42 years since Ive been on a horse. So when I left Utah to visit my brother in California my cousin booked a ride. Needless to say its the same place I used to ride when I was 16-17yrs old. I really enjoyed my ride with Alberta Canada. Austin, my guide and I had a heart whelming talk about horses. If you want a horse to be one with you then its about that ol saying... Treat ALL THAT BREATH the same way YOU want to be treated. COMMON SENSE!Thanks Austin for an AWESOME DAY.Oh yeah, during COVID-19 the horses are being bathed following a rider mount. 👍

I have been coming here for the past 2 years and the staff in not only amazing, but very responsible and aware of not only the horses well-being but also the safety of the riders. The staff (Ruben, Haley, Sheena, Hanna, Megan, Hope) are the best riders and guides! And if you are looking to build more confidence, control of the horse and riding experience then you need to ask for Lori! Shes the best trainer available!! Enjoy your ride! :)

I never meet customer services rude like that in my life, the lady whos work in the front, have blue eyes, she talk with rude way, they have weight scale one time make me 245p and when i try second time make me 185 p and when she saw that she take the scale inside the office and she said your ride time already pass and she not refund my money, i checked my weight in my new scale in home was 220, thief people

Nice place to spend time with family or friends... horses are super calmed....if it’s your first time riding.... there’s nothing to worry about... if you are a rider already make sure you tell the stuff, otherwise they will give you the slowest horse... which is not that fun if you really want to ride...

First time rider. Arrived, signed in at the front, was given an option to wear a helmet or not. Purse was placed in lockers. I wasnt given a key or code, it was put away by staff. No issues to complain about, happy the lady Tamisha told me about the option to stow by purse away.Helped on my 🐎 named Star. I was given simple instructions. My horse 🐎 was agitated by the flies and kept moving.The ride was easy and fun. It was a slow pace, but every so often Star would trot a little faster. It was fun and not scary at all.Our tour guide was nice and helpful. He was attentive to reach person on the group.I will be going again soon. Maybe monthly.

Great barn with mostly great horses. For trails they are great and move pretty well with the herd. If you are renting for a lesson, can be very hit or miss.You can pay with PayPal which is fantastic, most barns are cash only. Reserve ahead! They do get very booked up here so make a reservation in advance. I recommend showing up at least 15 minutes early to your ride, youll need to do some paperwork and waiver signing.The trail is great and the guides are pretty laid back. Unless youre doing a lesson, walking only. With COVID the groups are small and basically only one household which is nice, in regular times there can be quite a large group that rides out.Be wary, the wranglers can get a bit attitudey with you. Especially if you become a regular, even as a paying costumer. If youre late you might get a taste too. All in all, can be a bit trying and difficult, weekends especially, when theyre busier.

I’m a complete, total horse riding noob and wanted to give it a go whilst in LA. Scared but definitely had to try to conquer the fear!Spent the last few days researching a stable that would accommodate a horse-riding virgin and settled with LA Horse Rentals over some of nearbuy places (due to the good reviews)However, it’s been a bit of a mixed experience overall, good but not quite 5 stars!THE GOOD:Friendly staff and lovely horses that were generally calm and a good price ($25 for 30 mins / $30 for an hour).Good for beginners - I was super nervous so settled on 30 mins, but regret not going for a hour! Got over the nerves quickly as the horses were super lovely.THE BAD:Disorganised, sadly. Waited about 15/20 mins to be seen.Minimal instructions for a beginner - luckily another rider spoke Spanish to the staff to let them know we were beginner riders.The tour guide was friendly / took photos but was on his phone at whole way - which made me a bit nervous for a first timer at the start!OVERALL:I’d give it a good 3 or 4 out of 5 - it’s more a 4, but the lack of organisation is concerning. The ride is good, staff friendly, but just needed someone to tie it all together in English - perhaps it was because it was early afternoon on a Monday and not summer holidays - but still!Thanks to all the team for making the ride a fun one, will hopefully be back next time.

The staff (Im sorry I forgot her name) was really nice !!! I definitely recommended it. We took 30 minutes ride and it was enough for a beginner I think.Recommended for people who like or are interested in horse riding! The staff was very kind and nice. I think that 30 minutes course is enough for the first person. I was enough. Next time I want to go on the course for a long time and run for a while! A short run is okay.
