After a friend’s recommendation to call Dr Kim, about some terrible pain I was experiencing from my tooth radiating to my eye, to my surprise he answered the phone himself and he answered all my questions over the phone and recommended what to do until I come to the office. He scheduled me two days later which I was very grateful for. The initial visit was great and he was very professional, asked me what I was looking for in a dentist which no dentist ever asks. I come now from West Hollywood for Dr. Kim and his great team, just finished my cleaning and it went great. I have a past with dentists I thought was scarred for life. Ive often felt ashamed, afraid of pain and judged. My entire experience of going to the dentist changed with Dr. Kim. I couldnt ask for a more generous and educated man who is sensitive not only to what is needed to make my mouth healthy again, but also sensitive to everything from my emotions, to my comfortability in the chair to my financial situation. He worked with me in every way. I have gotten A LOT of work done and have not had a single issue during that time. The staff is great, flexible, the environment is peaceful- I got my work done in the mornings with the window open, birds singing. Its like having a practice in Snow Whites cottage! I recently found Dr. Kim a little over a year ago. Upon first meeting him I found very likable. Ive been a patient of Dr. Kims for several years now and Im extremely satisfied with the dental care Ive received. In addition, the staff is warm and inviting. Great dentist! Great office! Dr. Kim truly cares for the health of my teeth. He gave me a prescription toothpaste in order to try to slow down some of decay/cavities I have been experiencing for a long time. It wasnt until I started going to Dr. Kim that I knew about this type of toothpaste. I wish I knew about this earlier, thankfully I started going to his office. Since then, I have been able to maintain healthier teeth. His staff is very kind, and professional. They stay on top of my schedule and ensure I am getting timely cleanings. My experience with Dr. Kim has been amazing. I found him during a really difficult time when an accident resulted in a lot of damage to my teeth along with a broken jaw. I had never had any trouble with my them before and never needed a great dentist. The complications of my accident and the damage was very terrifying and Dr. Kim put me at ease. He was the 3rd dentist I had seen during this time. Dr. Kim really help me in the recovery process and explain all of the considerations and treatment plan clearly as there were many things to consider. His work on my many teeth was also amazing. He is patient and through. Hes very helpful in explain the process of each procedure and careful with ones comfort and tolerance. He also goes far beyond by checking in to make sure you are recovering well the following days and so readily available with any concerns. I cant recommend Dr. Kim enough to anyone who needs general work and especially those who have more complicated needs.

Id never cared for the dentist, mainly because I had the same one for my whole 28 years of life back home. They would take an hour to clean teeth, make you move to a waiting room where waiting another hour just to see the dentist. After moving to LA 3 years ago and getting many recommendations for Dr. Kim, I am super happy to say that the experiences in his office are 100x faster and more pleasant than I had ever had. Their are many options of appoints early in the morning as well as your teeth cleaning only takes 20 to 30 min (depending on how well you take care of your teeth). Afterwards Dr. Kim is right in to see you! My old dentist also loved filling the tiniest of cavities. Dr Kim doesnt fill anything unless he has too. His stance is more monitoring and treating the cavities, making sure they dont grow. I cant say enough nice things about this office and staff!

Dr. Kim was very condescending to me as a new patient. He kept going on about how I need to respect him and never be late for an appointment, even though I was 30 mins early for my first appointment. He wanted me to sign some meaningless commitment agreement to respecting him and not wasting his time.Meanwhile his assistant gave me the most painful teeth cleaning Ive ever had from a dentist visit.My gums have been permanently damaged from that visit and Im never going back.

Dr. Kim is an extraordinary dentist. I cant recommend him and his practice highly enough. He is extremely knowledgeable, sensitive and compassionate but also respects his patients time and works efficiently. His office has an attractive and comfortable waiting room with a variety of recent reading material, but dont expect to spend much time on the leather sofa - one of his staff will have you seated in a room within minutes.Dr. Kim is also extremely current on the most up-to-date dental techniques. A root canal that would have taken more than three visits with another practice took just a single visit and 40 minutes with Dr. Kim. Youll never have to worry about experiencing pain in Dr. Kims chair. He has provided me great advice over the years on my teeth, at times advising me to wait and see and at other times recommending an immediate course of action. He is also very sensitive with people who are uncomfortable seeing dentists.Cant recommend him highly enough.

They send us Coffee Gift Cards for being new customers, and a little rose plant was even delivered to our house for referring others to his practice. Very sweet and unexpected! Hes the best dentist in the Los Angeles area that weve encountered so far!Everyone in the office, from the receptionist to the dentist. is effortlessly professional. Appointments are handled via email (easy and efficient!), Dr. Kim is charming (without being gushy or phony) and very competent. I just feel completely at ease, like Im in good hands, with this office, whether its billing, making appointments, cleanings, or dental work. I was once almost half an hour late because of unusually horrible traffic and they were very nice and forgiving. Many practices would have charged me and rescheduled.Another plus; Dr. Kim, unlike our previous dentist, doesnt appear to look in your mouth with dollar signs glistening in his eyes. He does not recommend any procedures or devices that are unnecessary. Quite the opposite, he keeps an eye on potential problem areas until work is needed. Its about the teeth and dental health and this was NOT Dr Kims priority.I dont have insurance and Im underemployed so I called to inquire about sliding scale. I was very specific that I needed only a root canal asap and that I needed a sliding scale dentist.I spoke with Dr. Kim himself and he told me to come in the following week so I drove the whole way out to Glendale. All that he did was tell me I need a root canal (duh-I TOLD HIM THAT) and then he told me that he cant give any breaks or sliding scale on root canals. WTF?!?!He could however possibly offer a slight discount on the crown.I called about a root canal-a necessary dental procedure for a dying tooth and not a cosmetic restoration. He purposefully had me delay treatment by another week to try to shill his porcelain.VERY UNETHICAL AND UNPROFESSIONAL.on a side note...his staff is nice.

Dr. Kim is great! I went to a dentist and he really messed up my tooth and Dr. Kim fixed everything! He is a life saver. I asked a coworker if they had a dentist that they like and he responded with I have a dentist that I love!! When he said Dr.Kims name about 5 other coworkers turned around and said I go to him, hes awesome!! Great experience!

Even though I have moved to Whittier, I will continue to drive to Glendale for the fantastic service received at Dr. Kims office. In addition to being quick and painless he and his staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Highly recommended.

My name is Cristina and I am a senior with a disappointing experience at this practice, which resulted in my seeking the services of another doctor.This is unfortunate. Dr. Kim incorrectly advised me to undergo many thousands of dollars in bridge replacements among other expensive procedures, when all that was required was a simple filling that did not require removing the existing bridge. This fact was confirmed by two independent dentists, one of whom, Im now seeing for my dental needs from now on.The only conclusion I can draw from this experience is that Dr. Kim is more concerned about monetizing his services to the extent that disenfranchises his elderly patients. In my seventies and on a fixed income, would have had to fork over over $10,000 to correct a problem that other reputable dentists could easily remedy (and with much less pain and hassle) for less that $3,000. Upon visiting the office, it is plain to see that (in my opinion) the overwhelming and extravagant use of computer screens, computers, gizmos, machines that go ping*, and other and superfluous equipment must have cost quiet a bit. Maybe, given his overhead, the motive becomes clearer.In summary, I would avoid this dentist, at all costs. Although outwardly professional hes actually a sneaky fellow and way too ROI-driven.Therefore, all I can manage is one star. Hope this is useful to someone.* The machine the goes ping refers to the famous Monty Python skit of the 70s. A joke, and one that would have been on us, if I had not decided to seek 2nd and 3rd opinions!

I have been going to Dr. Kim for the better part of a decade, I always dreaded my dental appointments before finding Dr. Kim, but now they are a walk in the park. I have had everything from cleanings to extractions performed in his office and all were quick and painless. Highly recommended!

Ive been coming to Dr. Kim for about a year now since I moved to LA and honestly cant say enough good things about him or his team. You are greeted with a smiling face the second you walk in the door. Bella (reception) is not only friendly but super helpful and informative when it comes to cost, insurance or anything you need to know about prices. The hygienists are awesome as well-- special shout out to Taliya! She is efficient when in a rush, gentle unlike most, and over the top accommodating. For someone like myself with a 9-5pm job the early morning appointments are gold and hard to come by at most offices...not at Dr. Kims!! Ive never had a problem with scheduling or getting a time/date I wanted, which is a huge plus in my book. Dr. Kim is extremely personable, intelligent and really cares about his patients. For as busy as he is, he always makes a point to engage in conversation and make sure all questions/concerns are answered. Do yourself a favor and get your next cleaning/filling at Dr. Kims office. You wont be disappointed :)

Dr. Kim and his office staff are the best. Ive been coming here for 3 years now and could not be more pleased. Dr. Kim takes the time to explain all procedures and walk you through any options available. Ive had pushy dentists before who are only looking to upsell and add on non covered procedures... This is not the case here at all! Dr. Kim is honest and kind and will take great care of you and your mouth! I highly recommend his office to all my friends.

Superb dentist and staff!!! Dr. Kim is an impressive artist, and his staff is very friendly and helpful. I shattered a front/side tooth, the incisor, and since I had just moved to Los Angeles from New Jersey, I didnt know where to go. I did a little research online and thought Dr. Kims office seemed like a good place to go. Well, it was much, much better than good. The remainder of the tooth had to be removed, a titanium implant put in, and then the final cap put on. They fitted me for a temporary tooth, while the implant had to acclimate to the bone. I never realized the intricate process. An implant is pretty much a screw that gets embedded into the bone and then the cap is made to go on to the screw. Well, today the final cap was put on and I am absolutely elated over the results. Elated.Theres no way you can see any difference between this tooth and the others. It was a flawless operation and process.I also knew I needed a root canal, because my east coast dentist told me I did before I moved here. Dr. Kim handled that perfectly, and when the tooth was discovered to be cracked, he put a beautiful cap on it as well. A year ago I had told my east coast dentist of thirty years that I felt something on one of my teeth, as if there might be a tiny cavity. He x-rayed and said it was fine, but it still nagged me that my tongue could feel what might be a tiny cavity in the making. After Dr. Kims staff took x-rays, he told me specifically about that tooth, how it needed a filling. I was very impressed he saw what my long time dentist did not.After initially going to Dr. Kim for emergency services, clearly I now have found my new permanent Los Angeles dentist, now that I live here. I cant say enough good things about the work that was done and how I was treated. There is no way you can convince me there is one other dentist in southern California where you would be treated better.

Im one of those people who put off going to the dentist (or any other doctor for that matter...) as long as possible, its not one of my favorite things.However, since it had been quite a while (read: years) since id been for any type of dental check up, I figured itd be a good idea. I came across Dr. Kim via the internet as well as some personal recommendations- for some reason the name Lucio Kim tends to stick in peoples minds. And for good reason- the entire process was a great experience.Dr. Kims staff was friendly on the phone, and it was easy to make an appointment at a convenient time. There was ample parking at his office. The office itself had a very pleasant feel. The front office staff was helpful and friendly. I barely had time to check my email before I was called in for my appointment. The hygienist did a great job with the cleaning (I knew I gave her quite a challenge...).When Dr. Kim himself came in, he was very calming and reassuring. He had an extremely gentle touch, and explained everything thoroughly, without using too much jargon or being condescending. The whole process was professional, without feeling stuffy. I never felt as if i were being sold on anything that wasnt necessary.Again, not a huge fan of office visits in general, but my experience at Dr. Kims office left me feeling comfortable and confident, with happy teeth to boot.

Painless! Everything from the shot to next day. I brushed my gums away so I needed gum surgery. I was very nervous about the pain with this treatment. So far so good. Its kinda weird how little pain there is. Im definitely brushing softer from now on. Thank you dr. Kim.

3 years ago I had a Horrible softball accident!!! The ball hit my mouth and nose (worse pain ever) 8 of my teeth suffered the consequences, so you could imagine... That very night my husband called Dr. Kims office, knowing it was after hours, he was just going to leave a message to schedule an emergency appointment if possible... To our surprise Dr. Kim himself answered the call and scheduled the appointment!!! The next day although swollen and bruised, the staff and Dr. Kim were ever so gentle trying not to make me more uncomfortable than what I already was... Although it has taken a couple of appointments to get back to normal, I am beyond Thankful to Dr. Kim he has been a True Blessing!!!! Friendly, Caring, Compassionate Staff... I had recently moved to Glendale and was googling dentists in the area after suffering from a major tooth emergency. Thank God I found Dr. Kim, who not only fixed my tooth with amazing care, but whose entire staff has been so lovely to me. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area!!!

Ive been going to Dr. Kim for 10 years. My family goes to him as well. Hes done an amazing job on my teeth - including cavities, a root canal, veneers, crowns and even an implant. I dont have easy teeth so I was thrilled to finally find a dentist I trust.If youre looking for cosmetic work, I didnt know until I went to Dr. Kim that there really can be a difference in how your teeth work and look based on the dentists work. My old dentist in Beverly Hills made everyones teeth look the same. My veneers were really big (my original teeth are small) when my old dentist did them. One of them cracked so I had Dr. Kim redo a few of them and they looked so much better because he knew how to sculpture the teeth to fit my bite and mouth. Well, Im not sure sculpture is the right word, but they look good!More importantly, his office helps me take good care of my teeth. You know when you usually get lectured for not flossing enough? Yes, they tell you to floss more, but they have shown me how to use those little soft brushes for between your teeth and recommended a waterpik, too. I guess I have no excuses anymore.

Excellent Dentist!!!!!!After graduating from college I had no idea where to go. A coworker of mine actually recommended Dr. Kim.When I went the first time we discovered I had 9 cavities! Hello panic attack. I have a fear of dentists from when I was a child but Dr. Kim took all those fears. We came up with a game plan where we would fill them over multiple visits. He never pressured me into doing anything I didnt want to do. He solely cares about the health of your teeth. I didnt feel the shot or any pain during these sessions. AND HE ACTUALLY CALLS YOU AFTERWARDS TO CHECK IN ON YOU!We also talked about a root canal. We were scheduled to do it and I was in the chair, as ready as I could be. After getting numbed up he did his thing. While in the chair, Dr. Kim said he was going to be able to save my tooth by doing a deep cavity filling. NO ROOT CANAL!I even went for a filling yesterday and its been years since I needed to get a filling. After I got numbed he was done in 15 mins. Thats why hes the best.Also his office is amazing. Bella always calls me by first name. Shes incredibly sweet. The other assistants are amazing. When I go for a cleaning there are some that are more gentle than others but I just request my favorite every time ;)

I used to be soo sooo terrified & anxious on even the thought of going to any dentist....not until I met Dr Kim.His humor and his way of explaining things to me easily puts me at ease (unlike the previous dentists I have seen). He doesnt seem to want to squeeze every penny out of you and really has my interests and concerns as a priority.The receptionist, Bella is very personable, informative and friendly. Even all the dental assistants & hygienists are as nice and knowledgeable as they can be! Now, I am not so scared of seeing the dentist and actually look forward to my checkups.

My wife followed up on a positive recommendation for Dr. Kim and between his track record and the fact that I literally hadnt been to a dentist in 15 years, she booked an appointment for me without hesitation.Of course, I went into it with a great deal of anxiety since my dentist truancy was due in large part to the negative experiences Id had with my former dentist growing up...even on typical cleaning visits.Dr. Kim spoke to me like a peer more than a patient and immediately set me at ease with the trio of fillings I needed along with my chipped front tooth that he seamlessly repaired.The ensuing gift cards we received were a nice touch and matched his overall easygoing demeanor while I was in the chair. Not only that, he was very straightforward when discussing future care and attention to problem areas moving forward.Go see this guy. You wont be disappointed.

Dr. Kim is about as thorough and knowledgable a dentist that you can find. He is the Dentists of Dentists.I have been seeing Dr. Kim for the past 4 years. I discovered his practice after a long search for a dentist who could correct some bad work done years ago by my dentist of 20 years from childhood. My old dentist had put fillings in my back teeth which were causing tremendous pain upon chewing anything harder than bread. For several years, neither my childhood dentist nor another dentist were able to correct the damage. So I went on a search to find someone who could really help, and it lead me to Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim corrected the damage, and as far as Im concerned, he is the Dentist of Dentists.A few things I like about his practice:--His staff and hygienists are very well trained. This point goes a long way since most of the time spent in a dentists office is for cleanings/checkups. I once asked his hygienist about flossing, and her explanation was so thorough, I felt it should have been recorded and shared on youtube for everyone to see. (need to floss up and down the tooth, and not a sawing motion).--During cleanings, they use this sonic wand instrument, which greatly reduces the amount of work needed to be done with those metal picks.--The hygienists are gentle during flossing. Important if youve ever been left in tears by a hygienist who didnt know his/her own strength.--Dr. Kim is always available for contact in case of dental emergencies. Id never heard of a dentist being on-call like this before Dr. Kim.--Dr. Kim follows up after ever visit, and is extremely thorough when explaining what is going on. Whenever Ive had questions about my teeth, Dr. Kim has always patiently walked me through the answers. Sometimes he has used clay models and computer images to demonstrate.--Appointments can be handled over email. His receptionist is always on top of things, but if you prefer, you can manage appointment reminders/confirmations over email.Overall Dr. Kims office is very well run. I could go on, but I can summarize my overall impression with this one experience: On my very first visit to meet with Dr. Kim as a new patient, I was in the waiting room and overheard some drilling going on in the next room. It sounded like some major work being done; so I began listening-in to see if I could overhear any signs of how the patient was doing in there. And to my surprise, once the drilling stopped, I heard an older woman say to him Oh, youre such a good dentist. For someone to say that right after having their teeth drilled, thats amazing.
