I’ve always had a hard time finding that right barber shop that doesn’t leave you regretting taking a gamble with your hair.I found Floyds 99 when they first opened about two years ago and I’ve been going back every other week since then. All of the stylists have years of experience and take pride in their work. There is no substitute for the experience you’ll get at Floyd’s. Jason is my go to guy - he’s the best barber I’ve ever met, and the only person I’ll let cut my hair.They’ve got a great music collection playing, incredible stylists, and you always leave feeling like you got the best possible cut. I now drive across the valley and look forward to my bi-weekly haircut.

I fully understand the impact the pandemic has had, and it has made people feel frightened for their health, which is justified. Because of this, customers are apparently required to wear face masks. No where on the mobile app, website, or the automated voice machine on the phone does it say one is required to wear a face mask. I had an interview for a new job at 3, so yesterday I booked an appointment for 1pm (the earliest I could get). I showed up today at 12:55 unaware of the newly formed mask requirement and had to cancel my appointment. At this point there were no appointments that could satisfy my needs before my interview at 3. So thanks a lot. You should be required to let customers know this prior to placing a reservation through the app.

I went in 10/25 for a fresh haircut and received a cut with Alexis D by appointment. Very friendly, Great to talk to, knowledgeable, and EXPERIENCED! She gave me lots of ideas and tricks of the trade on styling my hair and what products I should lean more towards. 1000% one of the freshest cuts I’ve ever had, looking forwards to choosing Alexis D as my barber.

Met with Mr. Carl today to fix a previous cut and he exceed by far my expectations nailing my ideas and making it better than I could ever thought. Im not an easy to please person. But I know what I want. Attention to detail is a key for me 🙏👏 well done Mr Carl.

Very poor customer service. They picked the stylist for my first appointment. She didnt show up for the appointment. After 20 minutes I said, I was leaving and all I got was, thanks, bye.

Called to make my 18 month old son an appointment and was told that hed have to wear a mask. FYI the CDC recommends no masks for children under the age of 2. I was so disappointed in hearing this as Ive been looking for a barbershop for at least 6 months for him.

Went in 10/22 for my first time and received a cut with Heather. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and EXPERIENCED! She gave me lots of tips on styling my hair and what products to try out. I haven’t had this nice of a cut in a while. Definitely will be my go to stylist now.

I usually walk into a barbershop a little nervous because I almost always regret my haircut, this was not the case today. Myrah C. did such a fantastic job cutting my hair and trimming my beard. The enthusiasm and attention to detail that Myrah presented was beyond satisfactory, and I will, without a doubt, return to her chair every month. Ive never seen a stylist show-off their skills so well and fluently the way Myrah has. She is definitely one of the best stylists in this barbershop, and I highly recommend you visit her.

Gabriela took good care of me. Not only did she give a me a great haircut she was very accommodating with a picky customer such as myself. So much so that when we stayed an extra 40 minutes past closing time I never felt rushed or that she was growing impatient. Shes also a great barber shop therapist! My teenage son finally found a place where he gets the perfect haircut everytime. Staff is friendly. Barbers greet him with a handshake. We do walk ins and the wait is never more than 10 min. I highly recommend this place!

Myrah killed it today! Its hard to make me look man pretty but Ive already caught myself looking in the mirror twice since I left the shop. From the moment I walked in the door I felt important. Fast, courteous and professional. Ill never go to another barber.

This is my idea of a manly spa day. Cut+shave, hot shaving cream neck shave, shampoo and scalp massage, and topped off with a neck massage. Only gotcha is the price tag, but well worth it considering everything you get!

Walked in to get a hair cut and was sat down 10 minutes after arriving. My hair stylist was Rayna who is awesome. Right from the start she was smiling and very easy to talk to. She cut my hair just the way I wanted it and I will definitely be coming back to her. I highly recommend Rayna if you want your hair to be done right.

I come here monthly for touch ups on my undercut. Usually they are great! Professional, quick, and very friendly! My last visit was the first problem I have encountered. I made an appointment early in the week for sunday morning which is my only day off. I got there about 15 minutes early and the stylist was still working on the client before me, not a problem since I was early. About 5 minutes after my appointment time the client gets up and I see the stylist cleaning her station. The client comes back and sits down and the stylist begins to section her hair to curl and style it. The client had a lot of hair and I could tell this would be a while. About 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment time the receptionist tells me that it should only be about 15 more minutes and that the stylist didnt realize that I had arrived. I was disappointed that the reason they gave me for waiting so long was that the stylist didnt know I had arrived. I decided to just leave and reschedule for another time. Like I said, I have been here numerous times without any issues! My appointments generally take less then 10 minutes so I think that any of the other stylists/ barbers could have taken care of me, but that was not offered. Maybe just an off day, but Ill be back!

I love this place and was so happy when they opened this location. I used to go to the location off of the 17 and Thunderbird. The vibe and quality cant really be beat. Hillary does an amazing job on my hair for both cuts and color. She has also cut my husbands hair several times and he is always happy with his super thick and difficult hair.

I was Tashas first client of the day for her on Wednesday 12/30/2015 it was meant for me to come in when I did. She has such a warm, gracious wonderful personality and took such good care of me and showed her pics of what I wanted and she gave me an amazing wonderful cut and style. Walking into Floyds 99 Barbershop, I was rather impressed. Cool vintage decor all over the walls, engaging music, and friendly staff. What could go wrong? Well, as it turns out, those are the only things earning the establishment any stars from me. For starters, price. Im not sure I will ever understand why some barber shops or other haircut businesses seem to think that the service they provide over everyone else is nothing less than gold. The cheapest standard haircut they offer for adults is $24.50, save for the buzz cut coming in at $21.50 (still far too high for such a non-technical cut) and the prices soar from there. My barber charges me $16 for a cut and fade no matter how I do it. They do charge more for beard trim, shaves, etc., as expected, but nowhere near what Floyds charges - and mine does it much better! On top of all this, they expect a tip. Im all for tips, but not if I just cut off the distal half of my arm to pay you!My next grievance surrounds the cut itself. I change it up from time to time, but my standard, go to cut is a high fade, skin on the sides and back, parted to the right with a hard part. Nothing that any BARBER shouldnt be able to do. I informed the lady upon my arrival that I was looking for a high fade with skin on the sides. I was handed off to a very friendly woman who was full of fun, quality conversation! As she cut my hair, I had to stop her a couple of times, as her clippers where snagging and pulling my hair. They quickly became too hot, and I had to ask her to stop and work on the top for a bit or grab different clippers. As she finished up, I noticed that she hadnt gone to the skin on the sides and back, as requested. When I asked her about it, she mentioned that she wasnt yet allowed to do skin cuts and that I could have someone else do it if I were willing to wait about 30 more minutes. Something I couldnt have done.After my cut, I went to the counter to pay for my service. Along with the shock of the price (which somehow came out to over $30 for a $24.50 cut), the lady at the desk asked if I needed any product. I looked and saw that they didnt carry the product I use, and politely declined. At this point, I was simply ready to leave. Unfortunately, I didnt make it out the door without her first trying to tell me that product [x] was soo much better than the product [y] I use and practically insisting that I purchased it to give it a try. Again, I declined, and she became rather cold throughout the rest of the transaction.Im always up to trying new barber shops, as mine is quite a drive from my new home. And most of the time, its a rather decent experience. Sadly, I cannot say the same for Floyds 99. Off to Goodyear for me for my next cut!

Myrah is the definition of a professional barber. She takes her time and goes through your haircut with such ease. Do not hesitate on making an appointment with her she will not let you down and will have you walking out of Floyd’s with great confidence.

This is the best haircut my son (4 y.o.) has ever had. We walked in and were told immediately that there was a 2 hour wait. We decided to go to lunch first then return. (Ive noticed some reviews are about long waits, but when you get a cut this nice, there will be a client base who makes appointments!) The stylist who cut my sons hair had an awesome undercut herself, I wish I knew her name! Around the ears and back of his head are perfect! My father also had a great experience here as well, as a medical patient who recently had open heart surgery. Thank you!

Apparently this shop doesnt like to work. I got here 5 minutes prior to their opening There were 2 guys waiting.When we walked in the dyed hair chick let me know if would be a 45 minute wait. I ask why it would take 45 minutes?Oh theres only one barber until 10 and then the other one comes in.Um, what? Sorry Im not waiting 45 minutes because your barbers are either too lazy to get out of bed, or because the management is too inept to actually staff the barbershop.I went to Vs across the street. They had 4 barbers working .I walked in and waited 15 minutes before I got a LEGIT CUT AND SHAVE AT Vs.This was my first time in either shop, but I wont be wasting my time at Floyds again. So yourself a favor unless you like wasting time go to Vs across the street. At least they actually care about customers and business.

I will not be returning to this place and I dont recommend this place to anyone. I showed up 20 minutes before they closed and I was turned away because I guess it was too close to closing time. The receptionist lied and said that the barber that was supposed to cut my hair had an appointment after the cut she was doing... 20 minutes before closing with no one else in the building, I dont think so. If your receptionist is going to lie she should make up believable lies at least.
