Authentic German Bierhaus. Had a nice area outside and we sat as a big group. Loved the 1 liter big beers and the food selection was very good. Had the sausage trio and enjoyed them all. Red cabbage was delicious. Service was pretty good even for a group as large as ours. Worth a visit if youre in the area.
Excellent beer and great food! The Haus Hefeweizen was light and easy to drink. Tried the small pretzel with sweet mustard and the Bavarian Onion Soup; both were good. Pretzel light and flavorful. Soup came out hot and had plenty of onions and cheese. Despite how busy it was service was quick. Will be visiting again without question!
My first time here was for a Dining in the Dark experience. Before that started, we went in the main hall for a beer. I really like the atmosphere there and the people behind the bar were wonderful even though they were closing in a matter of minutes. Our event proceeded and that was also a great and interesting experience. I would definitely go back when Im on that side of town for a beer. They have a great patio.
Ive actually only been to the beer garden portion but it is fantastic. They have great live music, good food and of course loads of good beer. There are games and lots of things to do. Highly recommend checking it out if you find yourself in need of a good Oktoberfest experience or just a fun place to have brew in a nice outdoor setting
Great Bavarian style beer hall on this side of town. Both the food and beers are fairly priced for the quality offered. On top of this, several drafts are brewed on site in the establishment itself so it is a must have for those who enjoy microbrews.Despite keeping to the German style in their Lager and Witbier, there was a noticeable difference in the taste compared to true Hefeweizen you get in Munich.Though being a Bavarian themed restaurant, the Wisconsin style walleye fish fry was especially good. Highly recommend ed. Very crispy on the outside with fluffy batter while filet was tender on the inside.
Don’t go here for fish fry. I just got a fish fry at a local bar I got for $12. It has more food, and tastes better. I’ve given this place a lot of chances, it used to be way better. Fish came out like it had been under a heat lamp, warm but chewy, and the clam chowder soup was the consistency of chicken noodle soup with some cream thrown in. I wouldn’t serve that in my house to people I don’t like. Potato pancake was good, the only thing I liked. It was better with the team that was running the place and kitchen 2 years ago. Big step down, you can do better guys!
Good food, great fish fry and schnitzel, great giant pretzel and beer of course! Do not expect social distancing or masks on staff. Takeout is available.
This place is really friendly I had chicken schnitzel club wrap Andy husband had the Gulasch over spatzel with himbeere Weiss beer and omg it was good they are really friendly and our came out fast they do make there own beer that is so.good and you can find your own sit so no waiting this is a place to go to love it and will come back
We were there for my brothers wedding and it was amazing. I was a bridesmaid in the wedding and it was the first time Ive ever stood up in a wedding. The wedding coordinator Becca was so helpful and made me feel calm when it was my turn to walk down the isle. She helped me feel like I knew what I was doing and made me feel comfortable and welcome as the youngest bridesmaid. Ive only been to a couple weddings but that was the most emotional and memorable wedding Ive ever been to. Thank you Bavarian bierhaus and thank you especially to Becca.
Great Octoberfest. A good German Beer, a pretzel 🥨, spit roasted chicken 🐓, or pork, and polka music. What could be better? Download the app to get in for free
Sitting here currently with a party of eight. Two kids are in the party. After waiting an hour for food, our kids food did not come out. Manger comes to the table and immediately blames the waitress for not putting in the order. Then says she put in an order for an items we didnt order for the kids. Didnt realize that was the manager, asked the speaker to the manager, and hostess said, sorry, we are dealing with something right now. Management finally shows up, only to see its the same girl. She continues to blame the waitress, saying she is taking half off those items we did not order and comping a few of the drinks. Very unprofessional to blame your staff. Now we are all done eating for over a half hour, our kids still dont have their food, restaurant is now full and we sit here just waiting. Over ten years working in the industry and this is the most unprofessional experience ever. People that came in over an hour after us are leaving, yet our kids still are wait for their food. Ridiculous!
The only thing we enjoyed was the beer. The food was awful. We told the Waiter and all he could do was apologize. A truly disappointing experience. Better German food in New England than I’ve tasted in Wisconsin. Don’t waste your money.
Great food, awesome food and beer, spectacular staff and service! Such a fun place, especially if you’re German. We will definitely visit every time we are in the Milwaukee area!
Went here on a thurs, got beers during their happy hour, paying 6 dollars for a pint! Friend and I ordered happy hour friendly appitizer, the onion rings which are so big and delicious. We both went for the pierogi dinner with sausage, so perfect with our beers. We sat at the bar and while the bartender was attentive, he also knew when to approach and when to leave us be. A mug club member sat next to us and was extremely friendly to chat with, we stayed till about 930pm.
The outdoor beer garden is open! We went for a Friday Fish Fry & enjoyed it very much. Friendly staff, clean and spacious. There is not a waitstaff for the tables but it easy to find a window to order what you need. At $16 it was a little expensive for 2 pieces of cod.
Food tasted authentic. The tables and deco were evocative enough of a beer hall in Germany. I just didnt like the giant screen and how loud the speakers were. A little too distracting. Other than that, all good.
Really disappointed at Octoberfest. No deserts this yearLines for beer are 20 minutes long.
The beer is pretty good, but I wasn’t impressed with the food. My schnitzel was very, very dry. I’ll give it another try later, but nothing is making me want to rush back just yet.
There are few venues in the US, that can host a real Oktoberfest, comparable to The Bavarian Bierhaus. But, I am willing to check all of them out just to be sure.
This is a great place. Its a very Wisconsin type of experience. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, lots of beer. I was there for a wedding and it was pretty perfect for the group.
Havent shared a pig roast in a very long time, this one was absolutely delicious. Shared a special October bratwurst and some Schnitzel. And all the German music 🎶 that you could wish for. Oh, sorry beer, beer, beer and shots...🍺🍻🥃.. Me👍😁😎
Loads of good people, food and fun here. I recommend going with as big a group that you can.
Very good restaurant with good staff and food and beer sel. I also love their outdoor area - great to bring the family or just be able to enjoy the weather.
I keep going to BB hoping it’ll be better than the last time, but it never is. I finally learned my lesson last night. We were seated in the back, with the sun glaring in my eyes (please invest in some type of shades for your windows!). We asked to move, we moved. We ordered the potato pancakes, plain (not loaded) with extra applesauce. They came back with bacon on them (plain does not mean bacon). We told the food runner we ordered them plain. He went back and removed most of the bacon. We don’t eat pork! Our server finally came back and we explained the no pork, ordered plain, she brought out new potato pancakes, which were very greasy and soggy.I ordered the fish fry which was subpar at best. The food had been sitting for a while before it was brought out. I could tell because the bottom part of the fish was mush and the batter fell off because of the moisture. The fish wasn’t hot anymore, either. This “restaurant” is overly loud, you can’t hear your server or the people at your table, there are kids running around everywhere largely unsupervised, and the food was terrible. The beer was good, but not good enough to make me ever want to go back.
One of the states best venues of its kind; an authentic taste and experience on par with establishments in Bayern. Fantastisch!
Place was excellent for German fare, fish fry, bratwurst, and schnitzel. Beers were very good with live German music. Was there with the family and we did a shotski a round of shots served on a ski. Was very fun, and our server brianna was top notch!
Great place. Wiesswurst, sauerkraut and German potato salad was delicious!
AWESOME thats all I can say. My grandparents would have loved this
We might have come in on a bad night but it wasnt packed and it took us about two hours to get dinner and it was very inconvenient, our waitress didnt pay much attention to the table and only visited us every 30 minutes. Our food took around 35 minutes for our appetizers as well as food. I received my food after 30 minutes just for my partners meal to be delayed cause they lost the ticket and it took an additional 20 minutes between. Very unpleasant experience and they didnt even offer to give us a discount for our inconvenience.
80s night was so much fun. We walked in and saw giant wooden tables like an inn in a fantasy story. The bartenders were dressed in cute German style short bibs. We came in late, so we didnt get any service until we went to the bar. The music level was perfect. Were definitely going back if they do this again. I didnt get to try the food, but when I do, Ill revisit this review.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Had our 50th. wedding anniversary last year. Our event planner, Becka, knocked it outta the park. She was outstanding & saw to every detail. Fantastic venue
Love this place! Great food! Great beers 🍻🍻 I cannot say enough good yhings about this place!
Pete runs an awesome Stein club. Great gathering place.
Excellent food. Good service. Odd thing to say, but the urinals are a nice touch.
So disappointed! Drinks and beer were great...food, not so good. Sad to see that things have gone down hill. Our server really tried her best.
Great food and atmosphere. Huge space great for large groups. Beautiful space in door and out. Great Burgers, I ordered the steak, double side of sauteed veggies. Steak wash cooked perfect, rare, just the way I like it. Sauteed veggies also perfect, flavorful and nicely cooked. Large beer selection, free beer when you download their app. Great place. All this and kids eat free on Tuesdays. Would definitely recommend!
Feels like German fast food...if you can understand. Its okay but just not what I was expecting. The pretzel was even your garden variety mall pretzel, unfortunately. The server was great and its a beautiful place to grab a few beers.
The Bavarian Bierhaus was fantastic! The live music, Midsommar activities, incredibly kind staff, delicious food, and of course the wonderful beer - it all added up to an amazing afternoon. Certainly the unexpected gem of our weekend trip.
Had a great time. Good food and excellent staff.
The bier is brewed on site in accordance with the German Purity Laws, and is outstanding!
The locally crafted beer and food are excellent here. I highly recommend it if you want an authentic Bavarian dining experience.
Outstanding beer to honor my heritage. Food is perfect amount of goodness.
Beer was great!!! The place is very clean and comfy. My only complain here is that food was cold but even though I give them a 5 star
We were staying around the corner, and thought - Milwaukee has some excellent German fare, lets try it - and the Bavarian Bierhaus delivered! We enjoyed the saurkraut balls starter - decadent, (reminded us of crabcakes) and my partners schnitzel, which was fantastic. Ive had schnitzel in Bavaria, and the BB not only nails it but was better than the couple plates I had over there - a real compliment. My Saurbraten was 2 out of 3 - mashed potatoes and apple soaked saurkraut were nice, the pot roast was overcooked & dry. Our waitress was great, gave me an age discount & even turned down the game a tad so we could talk - as most folks were in there to watch the Bucks. We would have left as it was the NBA finals and it was cranked when we walked in, but bless em, they helped us out there. Id recommend this place and would certainly eat there again. (Id get the burger)!
Great place for our future leaders to have their Graduation Ceremony!
Beautiful night to watch soccer and have good German beer. Food was very good, I had perogies with a brat and my husband had the spatzel Mac and cheese.
Service was great but the food was disappointing. Onion soup was excellent. Goulash over spaetzels was way too salty - almost returned it. Reuben rolls werent crispy and somewhat bland. Overall not a great experience.
Love love love. Great German style beers in liter steins, polka, and sausages. Need i say more?
Spent a really nice evening on the Biergarten grounds!
Food is outstanding, Steve our waiter was the best! All around great time Ill be back soon!
Thoroughly mediocre to bad. I assume this what a soviet dining hall in Tajikistan felt like for rewarded comrades. Metallic beer, stale food.
This is a great place for food and beers. Their outdoor beer garden is also great. If you have a chance, stop in for a soccer game too, their club teams are very talented. If you happen to get Liz as your bar tender youll be very well taken care of.The inside bar is also great for watching sports.
Was so looking forward to our first meal out in a year....was very very disappointed....had baked cod...it was tough...had skin on it..couldnt cut it...the butter was some horrible fake gooey yellow stuff..3 of us had potato pancakes...none of us could eat them....they were gummy dough...not anything close to a potato pancake...
Unkel Dunkel beer is incredible. Had the reuben sandwich. Was great. Real corned beef. Great service. I always enjoy this place.
Ive been to the Bavarian Bierhaus for a family dinner, and Ive been to the Bavarian Bierhaus for Krampusnacht. While two very different experiences, I had a great time! The food is always amazing. I sat with a friend at Krampusnacht that has spent time in Germany, and she feels that this is truly an authentic German experience.
Staff is always very friendly, great atmosphere and great beer!! Nice authentic German!!!
Bad Service from server William M. The server we had was terrible. Cold food, no refills, no interaction, no silver ware! Food okay but service is terrible! Paying $20+ food and the service sucks terrible. We had such a bad experience with this server William M!
Fabulous fish fry, loved the entertainment
Ive only been twice but the food and service has been outstanding!
Itl was great 👍👍
The Pretzel pudding is a must for those who like bread pudding. It is the best that I have had in decades.
