This fabulous company literally came to my rescue after a very large oak tree unexpectedly came down across my driveway and blocked the entire entrance. I called at night, and they came the very next morning at 7:30 to remove the tree carefully, quickly, and professionally. Peter and his team removed a huge old oak tree, and a couple of smaller trees from our back yard, in a very professional and expeditious manner. Everything was done safely and under complete control. They have the skills and equipment to handle any tree job, I’m sure. Georgetown Tree Service came to our home to remove a huge pine that had been killed by a lighting strike. The tree was right between our house and our neighbors home with little room to spare on either side. The tree was removed quickly and safely. The company had all the right equipment to do the job right and I would certainly use them again or recommend them to others.

Peter and his crew are highly experienced professionals with excellent, reasonably priced service. We needed two very large trees removed that were a few feet from our house in town. The team came right on time, took down the trees with no complications, and did a thorough clean-up. They have the know-how and equipment to handle even the trickiest jobs.

I read the reviews for Georgetown Tree Service and thought to myself this is too good to be true. I was skeptical, but called and set up a time to meet Peter to discuss four trees that needed to be removed. I live in a nice area and contractors often inflate their price when making quotes. Not Peter. He was professional, courteous, punctual and the price was more than fair for the work. When the crew arrived, they immediately got to work and had the trees down and cut to firewood length in less than two hours. The trucks and equipment were all up to date and the employees were well trained and followed a safety first protocol. Needless to say, I give Peter and his team the highest rating possible and would recommend them to my family and friends without hesitation.

Peter and his team were great. Peter walked the property with me the day before and we identified all the trees I wanted to take down and he suggested some additional ones that were not appropriate for the space they were planted. When they were finished we walked the property again and he took down some additional limbs. Ive had multiple people tell me how much better my house looks now and know the additional sunlight and air flow will prolong the life of the siding and windows.

The guys even blew my roof off from some build up from a tree that over hangs our home. This was not part of the original quote or scope of work and there was no additional charge. After I contacted this business, he said he would be over shortly to give me an estimate. He never arrived even after I texted him and he said he was on his way. After 8 hours, he called and said he couldnt compete with the weekend warriors that we had quotes from because he is only a tree service company. What a waste of my time!

Peter is the ultimate professional working with a top-notch crew. He called me back within hours on the day of hurricane Dorian, and cleared my fallen tree within a couple of days (actually a day earlier than promised). BUT most unexpectantly, they cleared my yard of all hurricane debris in the process. This was a total surprise, and so greatly appreciated.....it was a daunting task that I did not look forward to. (It would have taken me days to clean it up and even longer to dispose of. He left our yard looking neat and tidy despite a bit barren without the 50+ year old laurel oak that fell across our driveway.His charges for the work were extremely fair, even being less than we had discussed, AND he did not charge anything extra for the debris cleanup!Peter and Georgetown Tree Service is an exemplary organization, performing their services excellently and charging an extremely fair price at a time when many would take advantage of the crisis.Kudos to Peter, his whole crew and the excellent service they provide!

Tree removal is a seldom-needed service; so it is difficult to get accurate information about the quality of Tree Removing companies from your friends or coworkers. Through the years, I have had numerous trees removed here, in North Carolina & in Atlanta, GA. Recently Georgetown Tree Service (GTS) removed a large tree, which was very close to our house. Mr. Peter Stevens, the owner of the company, is very knowledgeable. He was the only person among the companies that gave me estimates, to recognize that doing the job in the manner we had planned, could cause significant structural problems for the house.Hands down, GTS has the best, most efficient and safest tree removal team I have ever worked with! The owner, Peter Stevens was on the job, working and supervising. He had about 6 workers with him and each one did a particular part of the job. In addition, he had a cherry picker/mobile bucket crane that could maneuver into very tight spaces. Several years ago, I had a tree removed from the same area by another company and they had a great deal of difficulty getting their bucket truck into an adequate position. Indeed, they were limited because their truck was pushing against the house. With this machine GTS was able to easily get into this tight space and work much quicker and safer. I had several other estimates for this job and they quoted 1-2 days of work. It took GTS about 2 hours for the entire job! They subcontracted the stump grinding, but they arranged & coordinated that and the stump grinder showed up precisely when they finishing the tree removal.Negatives? Because Mr. Stevens is working on every job, he can be slow to arrange an estimating appointment. I had called him prior to my previous tree removal 3 years ago and he didn’t call to set up an evaluation until after I had already had the tree removed! This time also, I was about ready to move ahead with another company when he called to set up an evaluation. Also, his estimate was a bit higher than the other estimates; however, not by much and it was in line with the general cost of tree removal in the southeast. His knowledge (which potentially saved me thousands of dollars) and the speed, safety & efficiency of the actual tree removal were well worth the wait & the extra cost.
