Arbor Oaks Tree Professionals is outstanding in every regard! Fast, responsive, knowledgeable and very fairly priced. Had 2 oak trees removed and the stumps ground, and 2 other oak trees trimmed. Everything was done within one week of the initial estimate. The crews were polite and very efficient. Special recognition for Ricardo who did the stump removal flawlessly in a very tight space, and for Mike who coordinated the entire effort. Will definitely use Arbor Oaks again and most highly recommend them to my family and friends.

We decided to go with Arbor Oaks based on a consultation and reviews. They came out promptly, removed my bad trees and transplanted a good tree. However, since they came out to pick up their payment we have not heard anything and they have not checked on the tree or added nutrients as they mentioned they would and it’s been a week and a half. We’ve sent texts and left voicemails bet no response. My recommendation would be to spend your money elsewhere.

I called Arbor Oaks Tree Professionals based on an advertisement from one of the circulars we get every week. I called to inquire about a big maple in our back yard that had not leafed out. John, the owner, came out the next day and took a look at the tree - turns out it had an incurable fungal disease and needed to come down. After discussing the process by which this would take place, we also looked at the other trees in the yard. Most were OK, but each had its small issues that could be remediated with the help of a professional. One, for example, was infiltrated by a neighbors tree and needed help reaching the sun. Another had girdling roots, and all needed to be cleaned up and shaped. Additionally all needed the root flares exposed from the sod that had grown around over the years.John was able to get a crew here the very next day to work on taking the big maple down and clean up the trees. The crew arrived at 10, not too early but right on time, and worked diligently all day. By the end of the day, the 35-foot maple was in pieces on the truck, with no damage to surrounding trees, our lawn, or our brand-new patio wall or bricks. The other trees were pruned and shaped as well.The original schedule was for the stumps to be ground the next day, along with the root collar exposure via a tool called an air spade but mechanical difficulties prevented that from immediately happening. Nonetheless, John and Mike were on top of communicating with me and I never felt like they were going to abandon the job halfway done. Mike was able to come out mid-week and grind the maple stump, plus a cedar stump in the front yard that had been left over from previous work. Just yesterday he was able to come back with the air spade and clear around the root flares, prompting this review.I will say that in every way Arbor Oaks Tree Professionals more than met the standard of the Professional in their name. The price for the entire job was in line with expectations, and perhaps even a bit below what I thought it might cost. John didnt try to upsell me on things I didnt need, but explained the benefits of each procedure. The actual work done by the crew and also by Mike in the stump grinding and air spade work was also first-rate. Moreover, everyone was very polite and friendly, and I had great conversations with each crew about how things were going. I also feel like I learned a lot about tree maintenance and care, and will follow the recommendations to keep the trees as healthy as possible. We are more than pleased with the quality of the job, and highly recommend Arbor Oaks Tree Professionals to anyone who needs tree maintenance in the Austin area.

A few years back, John replaced a Monterrey oak that was leaning toward the roofline of my home. During the planting process, he accidentally hit the main water line from the street to my house. John repaired the break.However, yesterday John’s repair job was compromised when water was found pooled around the red oak he had planted. The plumbers determined that John’s repair job could have been handled in a different way that would have yielded a permanent result. I immediately contacted John and was pleasantly surprised when he recalled the repair and offered to pay the entire plumber’s bill. Without hesitation, blaming others or manufacturing excuses, John admitted the unintentional error and addressed the bill on the spot. Now there’s a business owner who knows how to treat people with respect and how to earn and maintain their respect. Phenomenal! We had high expectations and John and team exceeded them greatly! We were very concerned about losing our huge oak trees and John prioritized scheduling Arbor Oaks Tree Professionals services like they were his own trees. Several years ago, I had the fine people from Arbor Oaks Tree Professionals come out to my house after using a larger, well-known Austin-based tree service. I can say without a doubt my experience with Arbor Oaks was top-notch. I had some lingering concerns with some of the previous work done by the other company, which Arbor Oaks was able to address. They also helped a ton with some general landscape clearing, tree stump removal, etc. All the while, they were super flexible and really went above and beyond to deliver the best results possible. Just all-around wonderful services provided. I literally have been meaning to write this review for 3+ years! You cant go wrong here, yall.

Arbor Oaks was terrific! They removed an old Arizona Ash tree that had split and was in danger of falling in my house. In removing it they protected my house and other landscaping from more damage. After pruning all my neighbors trees, the crew came immediately to my yard and pruned all my trees...then completely removed a 40 year old Arizona Ash for me. All this was done in 100 degree weather, and they never slowed down. The crew only took a couple of short breaks during that time and were back at it again ! Arbor Oaks did a fantastic job of transforming a natural/wild life oak that bordered my property into tree to be envied. John MaCuk and his crew were expert. I also noticed they were very careful to clean equipment after working on one of my diseased oaks.We had a very reasonably priced quote in hand before other trimming services even returned my phone call. From the beginning of the quoting process to the cleanup and sealing after trimming/pruning, the entire Arbor Oaks crew, were professional, kind, courteous, and hardworking. John MaCuk and his crew were top-notch in the process of removing our tree. They handled everything from taking down the tree, ensuring the stump was ground out, and the shredding of branches for our garden mulch. John and his team are awesome! We have about 12 trees and for the second time in the last few years, John and team have cleaned out all our trees, trimmed them, and made them look great! This last time just last week, they took out a large dead tree in the front yard, and a smaller one in back. They also ground both stumps and cleaned up the rest again. John always delivers, he does what he says hes going to do, when hes going to do it, and at the price quoted. He can be trusted and he always inspects the work and makes sure you are happy before taking a dime. I have nothing but the utmost respect for John and I highly recommend him! In April 2019 we hired the services of Arbor Oaks Tree Professional to do up our back yard. John MaCuk the owner decided to take on the job himself. We awarded John the project as he seemed to have sincere intent and stated that his reputation mattered more than the money. Unfortunately his work was a nightmare, extremely amateurish and created a big mess, rather than what he was originally hired to deliver. Since I was travelling midway through the job, I had noticed that John had made a mess on our driveway which he promised to power-wash. Furthermore he stated that his bobcat hit an irrigation line but fortunately no damage was done. Upon completion, in my absence and trusting him to be a man of his word I transferred the remainder amount. However upon my return I was shocked to find that the drive was messed up, the dirt was not evenly spread with tire tracks evident, John had destroyed 3 irrigation lines and the main valve, my backyard was actually converted into a pool of swamp. I tried contacting John several times on his mobile and Facebook but he never did answer. The bottom line being that Johns work will now cost us much more in repair and damage control which is unfortunate since he breached our agreement and has since ghosted.

John and his workers are wonderful, they did a great job and showed up when they said they would. He was able to schedule us quickly and the price was right!
