Staff is very helpful, courteous. I have had two cleanings and one crown put on. Very pleased with everything. If I have questions, they are happy to answer them and never make me feel like Im a bother.

I really wanted to say good things. The staff has always been very nice. But the work I have gotten has been subpar. I went to have an issue resolved and was informed at check in (not when I made the appointment two weeks earlier) that my insurance wouldnt cover and I needed to give them $1200. I will not give them a dime for the shoddy work. I have missed work and gone to the ER due to the pain and swelling they caused. I will not wish this place on my worst enemy

I had an awesome experience at the dentist today! The workers are all extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable and at ease while there! The only negative thing I have to say is that their price to use the nitrous is way too expensive. The nitrous gas is a MUST for me, but very difficult to afford it being $84 per visit!!

I’m trying to give the benefit of the doubt as well as a second chance, because I’ve had one good experience and one bad one. Everyone is always very nice in the office, that’s never been a problem. My very first appointment was because I had a chipped tooth that needed repair. They found that it needed a crown. They were quick and efficient on that first visit. They called a week or so later to tell me I needed to come back because the scan they sent to the lab was rejected and needed to do it again. No problem, it happens. I left there after my second appointment in the worst pain of my life. The assistant had a terrible time getting the temporary off, and left something in too long that I was biting on to get an imprint which hurt worse, I already have really sensitive teeth. I left with the whole right side of my mouth in excruciating pain. I was in tears in the chair and let the assistant know I was in a lot of pain, but nothing was really done. I walked out of the office sobbing and couldn’t speak because it hurt so bad. My fiancé had to call them when I got home to make them give me something to help since they let me walk out in such pain. In addition, the “temporary” the assistant put on to cover until my real crown comes in was super loose when I left the office and fell off as soon as I got home. When I mentioned to him that it felt loose and asked what to do if it falls off, he said “just take a dab of toothpaste and stick it back on”. I’m no dental professional by any means, but I don’t feel like that’s good. It’s almost been a week and I can’t function without 800mg ibuprofen every six hours because it hurts so bad. I don’t know what they did to me after that visit but they really messed me up

This place is horrible. The dental assistant kept standing over me while the dentist was numbing my mouth when I asked her not to and she kept being loud saying I need to calm down it caused me anxiety to the point I had a panic attack. They got mad and just left and went to another patient. Never asked whats wrong, if I was ok, if I needed anything just left and left me alone. After getting a tooth pulled I requested tremadol which is not a controlled substance and they said no. When leaving the appointment lady was horrible I asked if I was good to go and she got rude with me said just go really mean.a week later I called again still in pain said please sent it in again they said no. They dont care about the patient and have the worst attitudes.

They are nice and friendly. Did a nice job of getting us in quick. I just don’t really like the no firearms sign on the door. It’s their business so they can do as they please, I believe everyone has a right to protect themselves at all times.

So, Ive been debating for a couple months about whether or not to post this review, and after talking with a friend I have finally decided that I have to. I was a patient with Mortenson since they first opened in Georgetown. They were fabulous back then. Just a few years ago, they began telling me I needed more and more complex procedures during my cleanings, and charging more and more for my appointments (my copay for routine cleanings/checks was $0, on average they were charging me $80+ per appointment, and I always seemed to have a balance due). I finally decided to leave after they did not answer the phone for more than 30 minutes when I arrived for my appointment, and when they finally did pick up the phone, turned me away because I was now late. When I requested my full dental records and only received year-old xrays.I found and saw a new dentist two weeks later. I told him all of the things Mortenson was telling me were needed procedures and what they were charging for them. He was STUNNED. He told me none of the things they were doing were necessary for me because my gums and teeth are perfectly healthy. He also pointed out that some of my fillings were sloppy, though they didnt need to be immediately be re-done. After hearing a friends current on-going experience with them, I just couldnt keep quiet anymore. I just wish I had left years ago.

I went here for a cleaning and after my x-rays they told me I had 10 cavities and they wanted to start filling them on one side that day. I admit, I had skipped my cleanings for a year or two but I didnt believe that. I had never had a cavity before, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. I was told that I had zero cavities. Ive also heard of the same thing happening to quite a few other people. They seem to just want to use your insurance money so beware.

Going in for dentures I have several broken teeth and the little dude new I was scared of needles, pain and just dentist so he was 100% on top his game calming me down explaining each step extra care and sensitive ( his parents raised him right and could tell he loved his job) what it was going feel like pain etc. I Give him 5 stars plus . April 6th we will remove my teeth, Ill be put asleep and the referal was fast . THE appointments match up great and so far we are doing great and still nervous. Ill let u know how denture is then .

My sister went here and had the worst experience. They didnt help her with her immediate issue, a broken tooth. Dentist saw her for all of two minutes. Told her all of her teeth needed to come out, jumped into discussing payment and options. They dont do payment plans. Proceeded to not let her get a word in or ask questions. She was crying and no one in the office seemed to care.They cannot handle someone with anxiety and their approach left her feeling like she wasnt valued or seen as human.

Professional and clean, I was in and out quickly. Felt very informed about options I had available to me for both treatments that I needed, and payment methods.

I went in to have my crown checked out because it was showing wear. Now, thanks to their adjustment I have 2 large holes in my crowns enamel instead of a small one. Thanks to this, I will have to replace it much sooner and it looks horrible.I will be finding another dentist to do that work.I must also mention that getting work done is like sitting through a sales presentation.

Would not give this place a a one star if it didn’t require you to leave a review. Had 5 fillings done in one day here the lady filled the wrong tooth she filled a previous root canel tooth i came in and they tried to tell me that that tooth was already filled and that they had seen me back once December funny because I was just a new patient last week was my second time there sense feb so not only are they mixing up charts and x rays they are also doing work on people’s teeth and not knowing what they are doing and causes a lot of damage. The lady sent me out of the office and told me to go somewhere else if i don’t like her work didn’t respond to the paint she caused me and the damage to my tooth it’s not her fault or her problem I guess. Entire side of my face was throbbing in pain. Do not go here

Ill start off by saying, I hate going to the dentist! Mortensen staff make me feel super comfortable! They are really friendly, yet professional. They explain everything in laymans terms. I would absolutely recommend them to any and all seeking a dentist!!!

The staff is very friendly and welcoming, my complaint is theyre so quick to wanna pull problem teeth (I assume because its easier) even if there is a possibility to save your natural tooth which is what most dentists strive to do. Great for basic dental work but not the place for anything else.

My husband goes to his visit in EXTREME DEBILITATING PAIN (for the 2nd time in a month) to be told he needs an oral surgeon... OK that’s understandable HOWEVER when every oral surgeon within 100 mile radius (that accepts our insurance) is booked until the end of October thru end of November what is there to do? I was under the impression that a Dr/Dentist is supposed to have their patient’s best interest as their #1 priority, not to mention TRYING to keep them pain free,. Isn’t there such a thing as professional courtesy anymore... can’t a phone call be made to surgeons that are part of the SAME company that has numerous offices in the surrounding area & explain the situation & help the patient be seen sooner for an evaluation/surgery. Even after reaching out the if Dr is told nothing can be done to help patient be seen sooner isn’t it worth even trying? How does that reassure the patient that their Dr is doing everything within their power to help? How does that help the patient feel like their Dr actually CARES about their health & wellbeing especially when patient HAS to work to support a family? I don’t believe that’s asking too much. It happens everyday in Dr’s offices as I was a nurse for years & saw it first hand. I just don’t want him to hurt & it sucks to feel powerless.

I absolutely love this place, it’s so welcoming by all the staff. I have been going here for about a year and my dad had a terrible toothache so I recommended him to come here I told him they were all so very sweet and they would take care of him. My dad is terrified to go to Dentist but after he came out he couldn’t stop talking about how great they were. They made him feel so comfortable and said he wouldn’t go anywhere else! Very friendly staff! Clean! No pain at all! Nice interior design!I hadnt been to a dentist in years and needed a lot of work. Before one of my visits, they called and said they had a few cancelations and asked if I wanted to come in early. When I got there, I asked if since they had some openings that day if they could combine ny next visit with this one and do some extra work (so basically, I put them on the spot last minute). They agreed! Even though it was Friday and they were closing early, they went out of their way to save me time!

My dental cleaning was excellent my hygienist did a excellent job and a beautiful personality, very informative. And Dr Adams is the greatest.

I have never understood why so many people dislike going to the dentist. I think far more people dislike the dentist more than they do other much more invasive diagnostic and treatment procedures.I think a trip to Mortenson would be very likely to change that perception. I have been going there for years and have always been treated with respect, sensitivity, and with a genuine interest in who I am as a person and not just as a patient. While I have always taken care of my teeth, my dental architecture has, over the years, given them plenty of exercise. I have never been less than one hundred percent satisfied with the care that I have received and my teeth are in great shape. I am 55 years old and plan to have all of these teeth for the next half-century. Give them a go. I bet you will stay on.

I and a couple others have went here we were all told the same thing, that we needed extra work and detailed cleaning that we needed to pay money our insurance wouldnt cover. Well we give different dentist a chance. We got dental work complete with no extra money. This place will rob you blind if you let them.

As mentioned earlier, procedures are explained very well and what to expect afterwards. I have never left the office unsure or frustrated about the service. Wait time is really short and they are very flexible with their scheduling. Being a student and having to work, I have needed to reschedule multiple times and front staff has always been really helpful and friendly in working out a time that works for me.Everyone in the office, from front desk staff to dental hygienist to the dentist as well as the people that keep the office clean are examples of what great customer and quality service is. As to those awards on the wall: well-deserved and frankly, they look good on the wall too!

I was a bit apprehensive about going to a chain dental practice before my first visit, but a friend recommended so I gave it a shot. Thank goodness I did!! I cannot express how much I love this place! The entire office has a very warm and inviting atmosphere, along with a super nice, friendly, and comforting staff!I definitely had several dental issues and anticipated being preached to a little bit, but I never once heard a judgmental or negative word from anyone! After my initial appointment they immediately set up a treatment plan and explained it all in detail. All of my appointments have been on time, efficient, and thorough! I would give a half star if I could. The staff at check in were very pleasant and that was the end of the good experience. They took several X-rays and I was told I had an abscess tooth. I wanted to save the tooth. They come in to tell me it was $1100, I couldn’t pay that at the time. I scheduled my next appointment out of pressure. I told them I was in a lot of pain and needed a antibiotic. They sent me out the door without it. Abscess teeth can get in your bloodstream and cause sepsis. The do not care about their patients. After looking at the print out of the cost of the root canal, I noticed it was not the final price like they told me. There was some nice fine print abou how the final restoration of the root canal is excluded. So basically the root canal and temporary filling would be put in. The crown would be paid for but guess what? I can’t get the crown I paid for put in without paying another $700-$1000. They are deceitful and should be down right ashamed to call themselves a “family” dentistry. I would be ashamed to work here.
