I checked in 6 am and my appointment time was at 12 noon, I have been 8 hours and they still dont start charging, I have talked to everyone and they have lied to me all day, and they are just starting to prepare the load that I am going to carry, which I must wait 3 or 4 more hours, it is a lack of respect for the drivers, Read a manager and be able to respond. Never come to this place, they make fun of the drivers.
Wish I could make it up just for how bad this place is. Comparable to somewhere like Anheuser Busch in Aurora, CO. Irritating location to get to because it’s West Chicago, as you all know. Guard shack is a half mile walk away with no covering and only 2 drivers allowed inside at a time. No big deal, until it pours rain in the summer or 0 degrees in the Winter. Stood in the rain for 15 minutes before the guard shack decided “this isn’t good. Let’s tell everyone to come inside so there’s 10 people literally touching elbows in the middle of a pandemic”.Still waiting in a dock to get loaded. The only reason this place gets 1 star instead of zero is because they had a dock ready for my 1pm appointment at 12:30. Doesn’t matter much though if loading times are still bad. Paper they hand you at check in is a little confusing. Bolded letters that say ‘wait for call’. Wait for call to what? Open my doors? Back in the dock? To know I’m loaded? All 3?From other drivers when I checked in, seems the average total in and out time is 4 hours. Not terrible I guess, but far from what should be acceptable. Other minor gripe is yard dogs are opening empty trailer doors across the mile long parking lot from the dock when dropping in doors. So if any larger drop and hook carriers are reading this, you’re using 20 gallons of fuel to keep the reefer running for a day or two just so the yard dogs open your doors for 5 minutes in September and heat up the trailer to 50+ degrees again. For a company that makes their money off of carriers showing up to haul their product, they sure seem to not have any interest in keeping the carriers/drivers happy at all.
This place no parking on the property has a narrow road coming in and you have to park on the road. walk up to the gate shack, which is clear down at the end of the road they have toilet facilities inside. check in you have to stand outside so if its cold or raining dress accordingly. loading can take some time depending on the day and the truck volume. Depending on which dock door you get it may be a little tight to back into a door. Check out they will call you you take the paper he gave you at check-in record the seal number and walk to the gate walk to the gate walk to the gate they dont like it when you drive down
To start, staging for this place is terrible. Trucks parked all along either side of the road in front of this place. That is where you park then walk (could be half a block or more) to the security shack at the final entrance. The entrance the expect you to come in at puts the majority of the docks on blind side. The lot isnt very wide to be able to turn around just anywhere or tight for a blind side.Security is pretty rude. For the most part, straight forward and matter of factual. They require mask inside the guard shack and the one guy was pretty rude about it. My mistake was assuming since it was a shack that I wouldnt be going inside so I left my mask in the truck, half a block down. They do have cloth mask if you forget yours or dont have one. While he was wearing a mask himself, at one point he chose to pull it down uncovering his mouth and nose. He eventually pulled it back up. I personally dont think you should force a mask if you cant completely wear one yourself. At check out he wasnt wearing it at all. The mask isnt the issue the hypocrisy is.Actual loading time was average with most live loads. Took about an hour to start and another 30 minutes to an hour to call and say they were done. I had already been told by employee they were done and I can close and seal and then wait for the call. The non security personnel were all friendly.TL;DR: If you have the option then youd be better off declining anything in or out.
One of the worst places Ive been to. 12 plus hrs. To load. 2 pm appointment. I showed up at noon, 1 am still here. Never again. Stay away.
Worst place ever. Arrived 1130am and didnt get lded till 0730am the next day. Avoid this place. Park on street and walk to the check in bldg. Receive instructions from there. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!
Place is a joke. Apparently just this week they started drivers not being able to park trucks in the truck staging area that is clearly marked with a sign. Check in guy had an attitude for no reason when telling us we needed to park on the street that has no parking signs posted everywhere. Then the security guys had us wait in a tent to check in, in 8° weather like animals. Pic included is the tent waiting room for check in
Drop and hook, office people need a better attitude, guard shack people are polite, street parking available but time it right or youre not going to be able to park on the street
Arrived on Geneva St to signs everywhere to No Parking...However, no staging on the property is allowed and parking is required on the street. No signs posted about where to check in. Driver must walk to the check in building near the end of Geneva St. It was a cool and misty day when I was there. It took the check in female approximately 15-20 minutes to help each person, while everyone stood outside waiting.I did get a door fairly quickly, but had to sit approximately an hour before loading began. Had to go to door beside dock 53 to get paperwork, which was ready quickly.
Terrible place to get loaded, most Lineage are bad, but this is by far the worst one yet. Been here since 11:30 am yesterday they just called me at 3:22am to assign me a door. I asked the lady how long will it take to load me, she said I will have to wait till first shift and they Should have me loaded around 7am. I laughed and hung up the phone and canceled the load. If you book a load here just cancel it. You will be here a long time.
As soon as i see Lineage I know 3 things: rude clueless employees! Disorganization at its finest! And, im going to be sitting ALL DAY LONG. 7 hours sitting in a door as of now. Ive been loaded for 5 1/2 hours but nobody seems to want to print out my bills. I guess they must like looking out the window and seeing my truck huh? All Lineages are the same...
Worst Ever experience I had here to check in . As you see she gave me gate pass at 9.15 and i was waited over 45 minutes to get checked in. No Respects for drivers standing in cold windy Weather the lady inside was doing nothing.Idk why you guys using computers still take 1 hour to check in .They had that Check in box outside to prevent from covid but in restrooms there is no hand soap or Sanitizer. Lol you can guess how clean the facility will be. No parking too park in street and stand in line for hour to check in 🙄
Lost whole day at this whole. Delivery app 6am. Now we have 7pm, Still waiting for the door #.
Not as worst as it used to be, still have to park on street and then check-in in the booth outside, security guy was nice and fast. Loaded in 4 hours, came in at 5am for 5:30am appt. Can do 34 on the street. When getting out from lineage rd, no left turn, 5T limit, and cops know that.
Fast loading, was1 hour late, got loaded 30 minutes after checked in . Great company!
Dont come here or any other Lineage facility. Time wasting is their profession. Ignore the negative reviews @ your own peril
Ive never seen anything like this no signs to let you know what to do and no one will answer the phone the only signs say no parking if you get here here you will be late the only person I talked to that didnt have a attitude was a yard dog I will make sure my dispatch know never send me here again well I have been here in a door for three hours and I am tired of watching all the clowns running around going to lay down all I can say is bringing a lunch and a good book you will need it
Stay away if you can. Worst place to get loaded.
8am appt checked in 7am checked out 3pm. Will never come back 8 hours to deliver a load.
I wish I could rate this place lower. Both here and University Park, IL are 2 of the worst places to load at. On 3/14/21 loaded at the Geneva, IL facility and first off 7 hrs to get loaded after arriving 30 min early. There was 3 different loaders working on my truck and the way it was loaded was just an utter mess. This is a running theme with these people and honestly had I known the broker booked for this shipper I wouldve flat refused. I had multiple overturned pallets from poorly loaded trailer and 2 sets of damages between 2 drops. My trailer was a mess inside and definitely not worth the haul. They need to set the building on fire and start all over, for real. Stay away from Lineage ⛔⛔☢☢
I agree with last review signs are building saying please park on street and walk bills.. no parking signs have always been the in the past I was told to pull in Id I was delivering so I could drop.. second we got here at 4:50 pm he get out of his car at 5:05 and walks up rude trying to pick an argument. Said my break is an hr started at 5pm and reason why he needed a break.. respect is earned
Second time Ive been loaded and unloaded in the same dock, I dont know whats going on but someone needs to get their s**t together. Going on 5 hrs now...
So many negative reviews on here and the owner only responds to the handful of positive ones.Mr you have a problem here, how about you fix it instead of looking for positive reviews. Look at the negative ones, I know you see them!!! There is too many not to miss with the same experiences. You must not care at all!!I wish I can give this place zero stars. My appointment was at 630pm, I got here an early hour. They sent me to a door right away. Now it’s 10pm and I am still waiting to be loaded. This is going to set back my deliveries now to other places. This place is a joke. Not sure why they are still in business. To make truck drivers wait that long is very unprofessional. We are the ones that get your goods to be distributed, how dare this place take so long to load. Not to mention the same employees keep taking cigarette breaks every 20mins. The CEO needs to see this. This is not right at all!Update:So after waiting at this place for 7 hours, the front desk lady told me oh the security guard at the front gate was suppose to tell you we are behind 6 hours. Then she got on the walkie talkie to ask what is the status of my door being loaded. The guy on the other end laughed and said the Purdue truck did not get there yet so they couldn’t load me. Lady said I probably had to wait another four to six hours. Why are loads being booked that are not even at this facility yet? And for him to laugh and the girls in the office to thinks this is a joke, really shows their lack of passion for this job.
Great place, pretty relaxed, amazing staff very appealing place easy in and out
Always hit and miss with lineage. Appointment at 11:30 pm, loaded with paperwork at 12:30 am. Not bad.
5,5hours on dock whith open doors for loading four pallets
After check in they give me dock but i am still on standby almost 8 hours done 😊
Receiving building is on the last crossing, you will stand in line to check in it took me 30 minutes to get to the receiving desk, you will need a # that starts with 142 or they will send you away! Also you have to give them your drivers license number so you may wanna have your drivers license with you. I had a 8:00 AM delivery I walk over to the receiving office at 7:30 AM I was in side at 7:58 AM they gave me a door right away, I had to wait for a cutter to cut off the cable seal about 10 minutes. They started on me right away after they put a lock on the red air line to the trailer. About 30 minutes I was empty. There is street parking! You must walk over to check in leave your truck on the street.Over all good place, they have a lot of trucks coming and going.Randy
I never have any issues when coming here. Organized and fast.
45 minutes just to check in. 2pm appointment didnt even start loading until 6pm and even then it was sporadic. Pack a lunch and dinner for this place. Also no bathrooms.
Be ready to take your 10 hr break here, thats how fast these guys are. This is my second and am not coming back for third time.
The young lady at the check in was very reasonable and nice. Had an issue with a number and she helped me work it out. As soon as I backed to dock, they were already unloading me and got me out in a great time. Parking along side the road was not bad at all. Clean area, so let’s keep it that way..
A giant freezer chest fill of all your favorite food.
This place is sucks i had 17:30 appointment on 6-1-21 checked in 16:00 got door right away But got loaded 4:45 AM next day more then 12 hours at the door . Never ever coming back here .please avoid this place
They do have overnight parking
My appointment was at 8:00 a.m. its 917 and I am empty. These guys did a pretty good job. I am very impressed I just wanted to say something good because most of the reviews that drivers put on is only wen they are bad. They do have bathrooms for the drivers to use, so please use them.... please do not screw up our luxury of being able to park out on the street.
Lineage has always been great, no natter the location. Been to there facilities in Wisconsin and Texas and a few other stated. They get you loaded and rollin
Lineage manager due slow m....f.....
Hurry up and wait...n wait...and wait some more
Quick unload! Overnight parking on the street just dont leave trash and stay out of the way
I lost power and had no backup plan.
Checked in at 8am and got my paperwork at 4pm. It took 8 hours to get loaded. The place has all the signs of disorganization. More work is needed to improve the facility.
My first time here and it was traumatizing. The guard shack workers were not very warm in there welcoming and their personalities do not fit the kind of job they are doing, you need to get two ladies that are older and more experienced as they usually have better attitudes, I felt as if I was intruding on the male and females space when checking in.Then I was given a door and trying to back into a door was a nightmare, everybody was parked everywhere because there is not enough help in the guard shack. It was very unorganized.Let me make a suggestion, get a least two women that know what they are doing in the guard shack so you can get drivers through the checking in process more quickly. Also you need to organize your warehouse employees a little better in order to get loads of trucks faster . Its probably one big playground in that warehouse .You need your employees moral a little bit better, the ones in the guard shack and even your yard jockey all seemed to hate there jobs.I have worked in the food industry, retail and owned two businesses and I would have a talk with my employees,.I just hope the warehouse guys hurry so I can get out of here and shake all this negative vibes off. .
I never see like this company in my life the worst company ever
One of the worse places I have picked up from.. 6 hrs to get loaded then they overweight my truck so now its been another 2 hrs and they still have not reworked my truck
Rude people over all, lazy all two times I’ve been here has been a 7+ hour wait to get unloaded . Imagine to get loaded ?. DNT COME TO THIS PLACE IF YOU A TRUCKER
Extremely long wait times. Expect at least 5 hours for loading or unloading.
If I could post 0 stars I would. By far the most obnoxious facility I deliver to with any kind of regularity. All staff - desk workers, security personnel, shunt truck drivers - all of them - are rude, disrespectful and unorganized. They regularly make you sit for 12 hours with no communication whatsoever and definitely no apologies. Some loading docks are impossible to access with a 53 highway tractor. They rely on a 2 lane city street as their parking lot/staging area that is constantly full of trucks on both sides of the road, to the point youre nearly taking fellow drivers mirrors off. Avoid this place like the plague, if you can. A total disgrace to the trucking industry.
Got here at 11am for a 11.30am pickup appt, 7.30PM still havemt started. 0 stars would be perfect, NEVER COME HERE TRUCKERS, NEVER
Generally very quick loading times. New check in procedure that should speed the paperwork process. Be careful in the access riad as stupid drivers block tge road quite frequently so hard to get in and out of truck entrance
Good service first ther need more sign
I think their traffic desk employees hate drivers, funny part is we need each other, how about a little bit of understanding? The dock supervisor was excellent, he is always ready to help and goes above and beyond to figure out a solution to an issue. You get more positive back if youre kind.Trying not to be negative but, maybe some customer service training!
I had a 8pm pickup.I went in at 7pm they gave me a door at 7pm and immediately started loading me and I was done and out of there by 7:35 before my appointment time was even duand I told them I wished that everyone could be this efficient, great job!! Keep up the great work,we as drivers really appreciate it!!!
Appt. Time 9:30am arrived at 9:00am. You can park on the street and walk up to checking in door. Sign in with security guard first inside building and dont forget your pick up #. Then go next door to sign in again, you need Drivers license and pick up #. Go to the dock door assigned to you, verify pre-cool temp. Chock wheels disconnect red line and play the waiting game.
Do not follow Google maps to the company behind this one you need to continue past where Google Maps keeps telling you to go to the 2 entrances up on Geneva road make a left and go all the way down to the end park on the street and check in with the guards check
Fast service
Friendly staff. Street parking available. It was a drop and hook load so I was in and out quickly.
Excellent company for local drivers if they are paid per hour. Wasting time is their priority. But they have microwave. Wow
Appt 10amCheck in at 10:20amOut by 11:50amPretty good for a cold storage
Came to a pick up appt for 11:30 am driver waited until 9 pm didnt get loaded, we spoke with Sally the manager and she had no idea about loading time so all in all never coming back here.
13:30 appt time, arrived at 12:30. Got immediately into a dock. Now 15:30 and still sitting in the dock waiting. Seems like they are faster if your unloading, but if your picking up you will be here awhile.
Street parking only. Park your truck on the road and walk up. You check in by dock 53. Walk to the right when you get inside to the drivers lounge and check in with security then you will wait to check in only two drivers in the room at a time to check in. Go to your dock break seal and open doors. You do not need to slide tandems unless you want to. My appointment was for 0800 and i checked in at 0743 got my door right away. Unloaded by 0834
Been here 4 hours and not even dropped the dock plate. Never been here before and I hope I never have to come back. Probably will get my 10 hour break at this point. Just plane crazy.
Covid has everything bonkers at the moment and their does seem to be a major lack in organisation. Overall the staff is trying to make it work but Im under the impression the the person in charge is not open to suggestions. I feel like the staff is just doing as they are told and not questioning authority. I hope that the boss sees this and is ready to listen to his employees to smooth out the process. Also I think the drivers could help make recommendations based on otr experience.
Ive had my fair share of issues with this place in the past, but this guys must be under new management because my drivers have all been taken care of lately. In and Out like a fast food restaurant. Would recommend carriers give this place a second chance.
Its a professional duty to keep appointment times.I was here checked in and on a dock 15 mins before my appointment. Thats my job.Total of 10.5 hours waiting. Didnt even start until 2200, 8.5 hours after my appt. at 1330.
Now that we can drop and hook here its much faster to get in and out.
It is a big company, I like to pick up the loads from here . People from the security and from the front desk are nice . They loaded me always in short periods of time. But u have to be very careful when you drive to get there . Lots of trucks can park on the st, to do check in and probably to get their 10 h break too
I’ve been to this place about four or five times. Always a problem here and you end up stuck on the no parking street for hours and hours and hours. NEVER COMING BACK! Gave you another chance and you failed me yet again. Lost another day of work from your incompetence. That makes four days of lost work. No way I’ll ever return.
First time here appointment at 22:00 checking at 17:36 give dock at 18:50 unloading at 20:00 good people friendly staff highly recommended
This places turn over rate is very high! This place would never never hire someone who truly wants to work. Instead they hire inexperienced people that quit a few days later because its too cold. The experienced people they push to the side so sad. Good luck to anyone trying to work here! So backwards
Drivers Be aware When talking a Load/ loading a Load from this company and the brokers you will waste u ur time deliveries get the product Rejected, get a freight guard report on ur company and Not Get Paid due to this company loading Unsafe pallets for there Customers
People arent too bad. My main problem is how tight the drop and hook section in the back is. They have plenty of grass they can place over if they really need that many trailers.Come in through google GPS, park along the side and follow signs to the gate/shipping office.
No problems to note except be aware of weight restrictions on roads leading to this facility 10 4
They use to be what they use to to be if you wanna wast ur time and meet with new rude teammates go ahead otherwise stay away from them this place is careless and they don’t know what they doing at all. It’s really it’s really dirty place and you can fine and barks disrespectful people make sure you don’t go if you don’t want to do your 34 hours reset I’m very honest they will lose their business soon from the drivers
Very slowly unloading packaging! They have to scan probably every single box! I am more than 1hr and half since unloaded, but still waiting to be counted every single box! More than 4 hrs since checked in. Arrived before 20:00.Appointment by conf. 20:45. On door 20:30. Now is 00:10. Ridiculous! Avoid bringing packaging to this company! :(
The staff was friendly and they all did a great job at getting me unloaded, reloaded and on my way.
I drive for Holland Enterprise out of Mapleton ND. We are here every other month. So I know !They will over load you ! They loaded my reefer with 47,800 lbs and when I was told to sign my bills I saw that and said I wasn’t able to carry that much weight they stated go scale and come back. I did and was 82,500 gross and it took 16 hours to have load fixed.Yes it was the next day. They are very slow and unprofessional. They won’t even let you sleep they’ll knock on your door every hour to tell you they need paperwork and you already turned it in. So they’ll say they can’t find it. So they’re asking you if you have an extra copy. Lol it’s only to mess with you.If they had a half star rating that would be too good for them. But they won’t let me post without giving them at least a star.
Very nice people
👎
Horrible place to pick up. Over six hours in a door and still nothing. Funny how quick they are to get a late fee if youre late but they can take their time when its them. System is broken deadbeats like these the government needs to get involved and hold them accountable.
Works very slowly
Worst place to pickup load they took 13 hours to load me never going back..
No parking except on dead end street that says no parking. Trailer drop spots are very tight other than that I give this place 5 stars. Everyone here has been terrific but Arturo and Jenny are the best.
Came in for orientation and was taken really good care of. They gave me all the tools and equipment I needed to be successful and even provided lunch for the day... Luis G was a great instructor and answered all my questions.
Two and a half hours before my appointment time and they got me in to a door immediately!!! Great place if you know how to manage your time on elog
Was here for 16 hours after checking in a hour early and getting a door assigned right away, so much for having a appointment.
