We hired Hogan Design & Construction to do a 2-story addition to our downtown Geneva shop, 318 Coffee House. They were such an amazing and talented team to work with. They allowed us to dream big and execute a personal gorgeous redesign of our space using found objects as well as new construction. Hogan cares not only about making beautiful designs, but also making their own community beautiful and functional. They helped us jump through many hoops with the City of Geneva and the Historical Preservation Society here. They have been supportive in so many additional ways above and beyond a normal construction company. They frequently visit us, they check in on us and those personal touches mean the world to us and our small family business. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about them and so many of their employees, especially Doug Panozzo, and John Vendafreddo. We also worked with a design team they work with, Haven Design, and developed great relationships with their subcontractors as well. We highly recommend!

We contacted Hogan after seeing their name pop on several Facebook recommendation posts. We liked the idea of having a one stop shop for all our design and contracting needs. We were interested in adding on an in-law addition and were very overwhelmed on where to start. After contacting them through their website, we had connected within a few days and set an appointment up about a week and a half out. Before the visit, they requested us to fill out a questionnaire so they had a good idea of what we were visualizing, our budget, and things we valued. Brad showed up on time for our appointment and listened respectfully to our thoughts. He was friendly, informative, and helped educate us on his reasonings/suggestions. As a couple who has never done something like this before, we really respected his advice and time. He also shared with us how their process works and even gave us a start on what things could cost. This helped us put everything in perspective right away and gave us the opportunity to ask more questions. Eventually, my husband and I decided not to move forward with the project as we are unsure if our current house will be our forever house. We did a gut job of our home 3 bedroom 3 bathrooms, floors, cabinets new kitchen. New doors, floors trim....everything...to the studs The process from planning, implementation and finish were all top notch. I especially like the punch list that they kept in addition to the calendar to show what was supposed to happen and when. The punch list kept a tab of pending items. Everything was organized. Excellent communication throughout the whole process. The trades were very respectful and of very high quality. I also loved the fact they kept the job site very clean, which was very important to me. To me that showed me that they took pride in what they do and respected my home (we actually lived in the one room that had been done before!). We chose Hogan to do a first floor remodel to include a fireplace refacing and built in mudroom lockers. Our house is totally transformed and the workmanship is phenomenal. Part of the Hogan sell during the bidding process was an emphasis on customer satisfaction. There were times when we called our project manager to discuss either problems or critiques to the work product. These calls always concluded with a solution and follow through to make us happy. We used Hogan to remodel the kitchen at work and I am beyond impressed with everything from start to finish. The project managers as well as other Hogan employees involved with this project were extremely communicative, professional, detail-oriented and incredibly helpful. Throughout the duration of the project (~6 weeks) there was general communication every day regarding the project and any changes that may have arisen throughout the project. Hogan took away any headache that I would typically associate with remodeling including coordinating and communicating with all vendors (i.e. vendors for appliances, cabinetry, etc.). Incredibly, the project was completed on time and with little variation from the agreed upon proposal (I did not even know this was possible with remodels!). For our family, completing the project on time was a huge priority, and the team at Hogan worked to make that happen. During the estimate stage (which unlike some companies was a genuine exchange of ideas rather than a sales experience), the team at Hogan told us that although they were unlikely to be the cheapest, the quality of their work would be exceptional. If anything, this undersells the quality. If you want to just get a job done inexpensively, this probably isn’t your contractor. But if you want something that looks incredible, functions well, is well designed, and is worth every dollar you pay for it (and then some), Hogan is the place. For any future remodel needs, we will be using Hogan and look forward to working with them again.

Not impressed with the customer service. I called asking for an estimate on my bathroom remodel project. Without even sending someone over to measure I was given a quote for $22,000. I asked where this number came from and i was told “it’s because we hold ourselves to a high standard to ensure quality”.....not sure how that would justify a contractor having the ability to give a quote without even seeing the job site. I left a message saying I would like more justification for this and they never got back to me. im sure this business produces a high quality of work but I couldn’t even get past the receptionist and see an actual contractor.

We have used Hogan Design and Construction for 3 separate projects for our home. The first project was a major renovation and expansion of our bedroom, garage, mudroom, closet and roof. HDC worked with the architect and city to make sure everything was to code, followed the requirements of the historic society and zoning requirements avoiding any problems. We had a couple other less major projects (renewing basement and doors). Communication and pricing on all of these projects was excellent. The project managers (Brad, John, Jason in our case) kept the project on time and were always available to address concerns. I would recommend HDC without reservation for any size home project.

I can honestly say Hogan Design & Construction has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. They installed a stone tile and tub for us, were friendly, organized, and had our entire shower and tub installed like we pictured very quickly. They warranty their work for one year, so when we experienced a problem FIVE years later, we assumed they would not help us in any way. Instead, we were absolutely blown away by the customer service when they came out within the hour, examined the work and just in case it was related to work they did and to provide great customer service they had a plumber come out within the hour and solve the entire problem. All of the time, labor and parts they did for no charge just to provide amazing customer service and their staff was incredibly nice, helpful and professional. You will not find that with any other company Im sure. They stand behind their work 100% and really do a fantastic job of providing the quality work that customers are looking for that lasts years.
