I broke down during a road trip and needed a new fuel pump ASAP. This place went above and beyond to get my car fixed up and back on the road. Highly recommend this place if you are really in need. Didnt try to upsell or overcharge me or anything.

Im a truck driver who stopped by to ask for help with a screw that had dropped off of my rig; staff was extremely courteous and I want to thank the management for helping out. They went out of their way to assist and made my day. I highly recommend this location!

They was very professional and did a good job

They are unprofessional told me they put a new radiator in and they lied my car broke down in a couple weeks later causing more stuff to mess up. 800$ just to clean up the same cracked radiator I already had. Do not go here completely unprofessional and when they called me they called on cell phone instead of shop phone which records the call.

Bought 2 groupons for front and rear brakes, they said they could only do 1 at the time but claimed both groupon vouchers it took me weeks to get a refund from groupon. Then the acting manager took the price of the groupon i was able to use off my bill instead of comping the service. Car had to stay over night because they stripped my caliber screw, then said it was stripped where I took it last, but this was my first time ever getting brakes since I bought the car (new). They said we will find a screw and not charge you, I come to pick up my car the next day and im charged for a new caliber. I explained to the real manager and Dino was professional and respectful but all he did was offer me an oilchange.i even explained I will pay for the part but why charge me for the service when you stippped my screw and the caliber was already off? He said because they had to reconnect it...wow missed a day of work went in for brakes and an oil changed and got scammed out of an extra 400

They were very helpful in explaining what was needed after my inspection(which comes with the oil change) and to be honest the prices arent bad.

I promised to write a review because yesterday de no (not sure how to spell his name but the guy who works the desk ) and Gary saved me. I was traveling from Anderson to Chicago when my tire kept going flat. I called numerous places and sadly no one had my size tire. With my last bit of hope I gave them a call deno answered and was so friendly off the bat I explained my situation and asked him to check to see if he had my size tire because I knew this was a flat that couldn’t be repaired. He confirmed he did and told me that even tho they were super busy they would fit me in. Upon arrival deno asked a guy named Gary to make a spot for my car because I was traveling and needed to fix this flat pronto. Immediately Gary jumped into action. I’m so thankful for both of them even with trouble from my tire Gary and deno got the job done and got me back on the road IN LESS THAN A HOUR! They saved me and were very friendly and calming. Thank you guys for everything !

This is one of the rudest and unprofessional place of business I had ever visited. The owner of this franchise should not be in business as part of Midas organization this gentleman charged me 80 dollars for a 31 dollar part and 65 dollars for one hour labor and that is acceptable when I requested a refund within half an hour of my visit he began to lecture me and indicated that the company he ordered part from will not refund him he called me a jag*** o** for requesting a refund he stated that I should of had my act together before coming to the shop and ordering and all I told him that my son purchased the part.This is second time they pulled this stunt last time a year ago they fixed my van and charged me 500 dollars more than quoted I will never visit Midas store again.He is an embodiment of what owner should not be especially representing major franchise chain.

This is addressed to the Owner of the Midas Auto Service in Merrillville, Indiana 46410 760 W. 81st. Avenue us 30. This is for your Merrillville location. I got an oil change there on 6-17-20, I wondered why my the car was on the ground for so long. The guy behind the counter kept going back and forth between the counter and my car. He kept saying that they were waiting for the oil filter.Between the counter guy and the oil tech, I could see them fidgeting with something under the hood.I sat there quite a while before the car was finally raised up to change the oil. Now mind you what they were doing under the hood, I didnt give a second thought. Well they finally finish the oil change. I paid for it and left. The car sat until the 4th of July. The 5th of July I noticed a gob on my front windshield. It was a fireworks that burned down through its casing. As I cleaned it off, I noticed there was residue in the windshield wiper well, on the hood, on the roof. I then opened the hood and thats when I noticed a big gob of what looked like glue on one of my plastic covers. It looked like it covered the end of the cover(probably a nipple from the plastic housing and the glue also covered part of a rubber hose.} I drove back to your Merrillville location. I asked the counter person to come out to my car because I wanted to show him something. I pointed out the problem and the first words out of his mouth was we didnt do that. I explained that I was aware of what my engine bay looked like and it did not look like this when I brought it in.. He kept saying that I was calling a lair. I kept explaining that it didnt look like this when I brought it in. As he walked away form me, he kept saying I was calling him a liar. Then I asked to have the Ownerss number, so I could speak to him. I kept hearing him mumbling as he went back to the shop not listening to what I was saying. Thats when I said that you have lost me as a customer. I got in my car and drove away. I wouldnt go back to this oil change business if it was the last on Earth.

Place is a rip off. Owner wants to sell repairs that are not needed. They just fired a long time manager who was honest. They have a fake mechanic named Ryan. Hes just as poor as Jeff the owner. I wouldnt let Hobart Midas tie my shoe laces.

Very disappointed with their work and if you call back saying that they did the work wrong they have an attitude with you. Would not recommend this place. Took my car in to get fixed to pass an emissions test charged me over 1000 still did not pass and they created more problems than when I first went in for service. Warning do not use them. They are extremely to high as well.

I broke down in Gary Indiana with a bad transmission. They were able to order and install a Jasper transmission in a short amount of time. I was able to make it to north Minnesota and back to South Jersey with the new transmission and towing 4K lbs. Still works fine. They did a good job.

Terrible I got my oil changed there a couple times poor service they didnt even put washer fluid in they make me think they didnt change oil. They didnt have a filter so the guy went to his truck and got it out saying it was for his girlfriend car sad

I called around 430pm to get appointment for break job. I was told I could come in so I traveled 30 min to their shop dealing with 80/94 cray traffic. Upon arrival at 5:07, Mr Kurt told me he will not service me because it was late and he didnt want to stay over. The shop closes at 6pm, an hour later!! I am sooooo disgusted with this shops unprofessional behavior. Shops like this is definitely untrustworthy! Beware.

Quite possibly the rudest person I have ever encountered in a repair business. My sons car broke down and the tow company took it here. The manager was nasty with my son - demanded on a Friday evening that he remove the car that had just been towed there. Actually used the words not my problem. Steer clear if you can.

This place sucks all they want is your money an dont do the job right i shouldnt have to come back a 2nd time for something they didnt do right the first time. And still get charged.They over charges just because they dont get a lot of business. I will never go back even the one on u.s 30 sucks they money hungry to

I called for pricing and the person was very rude. He even hung up on me before I could finish asking questions. I called again just to try to give the person another try, he was just as rude, if not more. I will not give him business if they were the last shop on the planet! I could just imagine how he would be in person.

I called in about replacing a timing chain I was told it takes 10.5 hours, or 2 days it has been two days and Im still not close to knowing whats going on. Now Im still stuck without a vehicle waiting on them to contact the warranty company to let them know the problem so that they can approve my claim. They are the WORST repair shop I have ever been to and I will never go back, or recommend them to anyone. PLEASE BEWARE!!!!!

Just a random oil change place I found along my travels when I needed an oil change. Nothing spectacular nor below expectations.
