I had an excellent experience with R and S mechanical. As a realtor I’m constantly hiring HVAC guys and I definitely found “the one” with R&S! They were flexible with timing which is huge in this market and communicated very well! They let me know when it was confirmed and gave me a heads up on the way. The inspector even waited a few mins for me to get to the house and was patient and friendly. Once he was finished he called me on his way home to give me a summary which was really helpful for me! Victor was extremely professional, knowledgeable and thorough. I’ll be using R&S mechanical for all my heating and cooling needs and I highly recommend you do the same!!
Our service tech, Paul H., was great! Very organized with how he went about diagnosing the problem, very methodical. He was very pleasant to talk with and was more than willing to answer my questions. He double checked all his work as he went along and made sure all was good before leaving. Well be asking for him to do our regular service.
I have been doing business with this company for several years with absolutely no issues! I have always purchased the annual maintenance until this year. This time I said no. After the 3rd time I was asked - I felt compelled to give the reason- which I have never felt I had to do with any company! Then I received an invoice for $190. I thought I already paid for the service just received! I called and spoke with a gentleman (service manager?) who explained and corrected the issue and was apologetic. Then I received an email response from Sandy. In my email I stated that I know that times are tough... and felt this invoice was very shady- I said no 3 times! She responded that she did not know what I meant by tough times but we should all stick together and be positive. Very passive aggressive. Then she continued by saying she did not like my comment about being shady. Uncomfortable doing business with them going forward... back pocket info for the rest of you
The tech who came was straightforward and did not try to sell me on a quick fix, which I appreciated. I basically need to get a replacement and now I am just waiting to get the quote from them to see how much this will cost me. Thank you for your speedy and kind service. R&S came highly recommended from a neighbor, and I was not disappointed! Everyone, from the person I talked on the phone with and Adam (the repairman) were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I will definitely be using this company again.
Would NOT recommend this place to anyone. My broken AC ended up being a matter of a simple breaker needing to be switched back on. I was fine paying the $119 weekend service fee, but little did I know I was also being charged $132 for the technician to flip the breaker switch back on. $132 TO FLIP A SWITCH that I was not informed of before he made the repair, and obviously something I could have done myself (I was at the breaker box with him when he discovered that was the problem). Again, it seems perfectly fair to pay the dispatch fee for his expertise and time, but it seems like highway robbery to charge $132 to flip a switch. Any honest company that values customer relations wouldve at least explained a charge before it is incurred.
AC decided to stop cooling so after getting recommendations I called R&S. The office staff (Jessica I think) was great and I was able to get next day schedule. Tim the tech came out on time, diagnosed the issue, and fixed it very efficiently and was really great in general. I am very pleased with everything so far and signs up for a service agreement because of the smooth experience. Highly recommend!
Great company with wonderful technicians. Thorough explanation of what needed to be done, quick, efficient and friendly. Very happy with our maintenance plan, always keeping us ahead of any issues.
My tech Tracy was knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem quickly. He priced the repair for me based on with and without their maintenance service, explaining without pressure sale. Tracy answered all of my questions and made the repair with good results for room cooling well when he left. No one likes needing home repairs, but it’s good to have a problem explained well.
Paul came out and had our system blowing cold air again in 30 minutes. He wouldn’t take a Gatorade, but I won’t hold that against him. From the time I called and the time Paul left, it was 3 1/2 hrs. I’ll take Thani the hottest day of the year.
Victor was amazing. We had a few worries and handled both problems very quick and professionally. We also had a maintenance done and nothign needed to be added or fixed. When does that ever happen right? Usually there is always something they can find. I didnt feel like he wanted to nickel and dime at all.. He explained everything perfectly. And even told us what to watch out for with our particular system. We signed up for the yearly maintenance because he was top notch and I didnt feel like there would be a problem everytime someone comes out. If that makes sense. I am extremely happy with the service today!!!

I have been a regular maintenance customer of RS Mechanical for 14 years. My first service was July 2007. They have always provided excellent service from phone interactions to maintenence and repair. Since that initial repair my AC and heating has never failed.. They will perform my AC and Zone system replacement (aged system) too.
AC went down unexpectedly yesterday in 90 degree weather. They fit me and got someone at the house at noon today. Simple fixes and we were up and running. Tech didn’t try to oversell. He even fixed a wiring problem so the issue wouldn’t compound. Great response and very professional.

I have an old R22 system and so its no fault that these guys cant legally recharge it to get it completely online, but it means I spent a car payment to bring it up to a limp.
They helped us out a lot when our capacitor blew on our AC during a the hot pandemic summer, and have done a good job with service and inspection, giving us straight answers and not trying to sell us anything we don’t need.

R+S mechanical came out on an emergency visit after hours as my cat was trapped in the duct work under my house. They had to rip out the old duct work and my cat was returned to me safe and sound. They quickly installed new duct work and were helpful and polite. If they would not have assisted and been so careful due to the missing cat, it may not have had a happy ending and I am very thankful.

The technician which his name is Kevin, service my air conditioner at my house and he was very professional and also did a outstanding job. I highly recommend this company to anyone.
R&S and the guys at Comfort Guy are awesome. I had an improperly installed unit from the builder that went bad after just under 10 years. These guys came out replaced the unit with an American made York system. The previous system was also underpowered, which explained the lack of cooling in the summer. They measured the home interior and were able to get a proper sized unit installed in short order. Fast forward 2 years and the upstairs unit failed. I called at night and they were willing to come out the next day but my schedule didnt work for that. I had them come several days later and determined an expensive part replacement on another undersized unit or replace the whole unit. I went with the new unit and look forward to lower energy costs of a proper size unit that isnt struggling to keep up and running 24/7.
So back in the summer of 2016 our home AC went out, in June my husband called R&S Mechanical to check out the system and the technician informed him at the time that the system had a small leak and needed refrigerant, the technician filled it up with refrigerant and charged us $600; six days after charging the unit we noticed the air was not cooling anymore, so we called R&S Mechanical again and they claimed the leak was too big to repair and that we were better off getting a new system for the whole house. We have two AC units one for upstairs and one for downstairs, the technician claimed at the time that both units had leaks and that both units needed replacement so an R&S Mechanical salesman came to our house and gave us a quote for $14,000 to replace both units, we could not afford that, so we ended up installing window units in our beautiful house, the window units upstairs have stained the roof and siding. Fast forward to present day, after 4 years we decided to call a small HVAC business and get a second opinion, and to our bafflement the technician reported to us that the unit that controls the second floor AC is working fine and is fully charged, he also determined and reported to us that the unit that controls the AC for the lower level was low on refrigerant but has no leaks. Therefore, it is clear and obvious that everything R&S Mechanical technician told us was either an untruth, a half-truth, or an outright purposeful deception. It is physically impossible that our two AC units repaired their own leaks sometime during the last four-year period.The purpose of this review is to make others aware of R&S Mechanical murky business practices and for anyone who calls them to come out and diagnosed their system, to get a second opinion to confirm the issues with your AC system before you spend thousands of dollars to purchase an entire new system while in fact your current system could be repairable for far less cost or there could be nothing wrong with your current system at all as was in our case. For 4 years we have lived without central air condition because we could not afford the high price of the system, they were attempting to pressure us into purchasing.
AC wasn’t pumping cool air into the house, call Randy at 8PM and he was able to get the technician over by 11PM and fixed the issue. Both were very responsive and professional. Glad to have found a good business to take care all HVAC problems from now on.

System stopped cooling, and they were out first thing the following morning. Arrived on time. Quickly analyzed and fixed the problem.
The entire team at R&S, from scheduling to onsite repair, was a dream to work with. I needed a fast repair after AT&T tried to place a line and hit my coolant cable leaving me AC-less. I was scheduled for the first a.m. Monday appointment and Tracey was prompt and personable, explaining the entire process of the repair to me and giving me a quote to take back to AT&T claims. As a new homeowner I appreciated his patience in answering my questions and documenting the entire process to make sure that I wasnt left footing the bill. I can 100% recommend this company and plan to use them in the future given the need.

I called them to help with high humidity in our townhouse. The heat pump keeps us cool but doesnt remove much moisture. First Jeff came and checked the system. He recommended 4 steps from least expensive to most expensive that I could try. Step 1 was up to me, which is putting a portable dehumidifier in the basement (which I did). Step 2 was a visit from a technician, Tracey, to check and adjust the hvac. He found that the blower motor was running too fast, which he fixed, and that the system needed a little refrigerant, which he added. So far the changes have brought the relative humidity down from the low 70s to the mid 60s. I found both men were careful to explain what they were doing and why. In particular, Tracey walked me through the measurement of the blower speed and how he adjusted it using the manual from the manufacturer. It appears the unit wasnt installed properly. I didnt rate whether this is a good value because I didnt get other quotes. However, Im happy with the price and the work, and I signed up for a maintenance contract. Ill keep monitoring the humidity and see if I need to go to the steps 3 & 4.

Technician was very nice and the job was done efficiently. Little frustrated by scheduling and lateness of tech. Scheduling call said he would be there by 8am. Wife and I woke up but he did not show till noon. No fault of the technician. Poor scheduling by front office. For the cost and delay (8 day turnaround) I would say it almost cost them this job, but all around fine work and again very kind and thorough tech.
R&S Mechanical does such a great job! They maintain your systems and complete a thorough checklist, which they document with readings, and even pictures of the meter readings. In addition, they attach pictures of your units serviced and any items replaced or serviced, emailed with your invoice at service completion. Honest, trustworthy, professional, what more do you want! Our twelve year old home with Ream system was a problem since day one, brand new. After years of servicing, replacing endless parts, etc, R and S found that the initial install was wrong. I initially called R & S to get a bid on a new HVAC system because another company said ours was needing expensive repairs. R & S Mechanicals salesperson questioned if a new HVAC was even necessary after hearing my suspicions concerning the legitimacy of the other companys claims. Since we were putting our house up for sale & wanted to be sure everything was in working order, I decided to have R & Ss technician to do an audit on our system for $116. He found that our HVAC was perfectly fine except for 1 problem that he rather easily fixed while he was there. We have a nice readout with pictures showing the status of our HVAC. Potential house buyers will be able to see what theyre getting and R & S saved us thousands of dollars. I highly recommend them for seasonal tune-ups, repairs, HVAC replacement or an audit like we got. Very reputable, family owned business. Thank you, Jeff and Curtis, for all your help!
R & S is 2 for 2 with us! In the summer they fixed an AC issue we had in our new home, and this week they came to perform a tune-up and fixed a small heat issue in the process. They are efficient and friendly and I highly recommend.

Since getting my new unit and duct work in 2016, R&S has been wonderful to work with. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My service tech, Hurley, informs me when hes on the way and always answers any questions I may have. Very polite and professional. Great company and would recommend to everyone for their HVAC needs.
Hurley is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He was wearing booties and a mask. He never tried to sell me something that I did not need. When something needed replacing he would let me know my different options for me to decide and he did not try to upsell. I have been using R&S for years and never had an issue and I will continue to use them.
The representative came by my house to do an estimate. He told me he went under the house but my mother said that he didnt go under the house for an inspection. The representative Hurley told me that my fan motor was burned out and he needed to change the duct work. He gave me an estimate of $4500.00. That made no sense to me! Why would I pay $4500 to fix a old unit when I could just purchase a new one. I felt like this company just tried to take advantage of people that dont know any better. We had another company do the work for $1000.00.
Matt was awesome, everybody I have dealt with their has been great. Very accommodating to our current situation at home. They installed our new units a few years ago and did a fantastic job. Even the county inspector commented on the quality of the work. Pricing is comparable to other vendors and have always showed up exactly when they said they were going to. I highly recommend.
All around an amazing efficient service for a difficult time. Our upstairs was not live able at 88 degrees. We were sent a lender unit so we could sleep comfortable at night. Our new unit was installed just days after the initial issue. Guys wore masks and were incredibly nice!

Definitely recommend.Called them at 2pm when my AC broke, they were at my house 2 hours later. After it was determined I needed a part and store would be closed next day for a Friday holiday, Alex my tech ran to the store before they closed, got the part and returned same day to fix it. The ComforGuy Specialist arrived on time and only a day after requesting service on our Air Conditioning unit. The Specialist was very knowledgeable and was open to all my questions I had about A/C. The Technician checked every in and out of the unit, vents, pressures, duct work, and coils. The Technician cleaned the coils and made sure the system was working before leaving. Great Service and will recommend/use this company for any of my Heating/Cooling needs in the future.

Very professional, but they are alittle pricey. I had my fireplace polite relit. It took him every bit of 2 minutes to do, that cost me $95. Oh well, but yes I would recommend them.

AC unit was determined to need refrigerant. Totally surprise when given the repair cost. Refrigerant price per pound was quite high. Overall bill was about 33% higher than other reputable companies.
