Paid $450 for new tire rod install, tire alignment, and ESC sensor reboot. They did a 30 point inspection that identified deep crack on inside wall rear tire and provided 3 price quotes for diff priced/quality tires. They will offer to drive you home and pick you up after job is done. They communicated excellently with with updates and options. Overall, yes the labor cost may be a bit higher but if your a fan of quality work, communication, and customer service...give them a try!

I went Orozcos Auto service for pre-purchase inspection. I am very satisfied with their honest and caring service. I will come here if I need a mechanic even though I do not live around this area.

Very friendly and professional. I feel theyre very honest as they told me there was a repair that needed to be done but not immediately and it wouldnt affect anything. They said I could do it later and it wouldnt cause any damage but I decided to do it anyways. I trust the guys at Bobs, which is saying a lot as I am a single older woman. Great service and very knowledgeable mechanics. They always call with updates and explain everything in detail so you know what is going on. Would definitely recommend Bobs to anyone in need of car repairs. My car has been a mystery when I have taken it elsewhere thanks to a AAA tow and recommendation but left that place and took it on over to Bobs and within a day they knew what was going on and got it back to me fast.

Went to another shop that was closer to us and was told it could be everything under the sun despite the fact that we knew we needed a new belt. Found Bobs and called. Had a good feeling from the phone call. They agreed it was the belt, Frank skipped his lunch to fix it, offered us air conditioned waiting room and went out of his way to make us comfortable! Thanks to Jesse and Frank we were at the beach in an hour.

People generally think automotive shops are of questionable reputation. This particular shop weve gone to for years. Theyll give you an estimate ; if its more than you can spend, theyll work with you prioritizing most necessary to repair and leave other things undone to another time. Not pressure/actual honesty

You have to realize... this is not charity. these guys do this day in and day out, and they are straight pros at this place. what youre paying for someone that will absolutely do the job right.Quality certified mechanic shops charge $100 an hour average for labor. That may be a tough pill to swallow.Do it yourself or have your entry level mechanic friend Do it for you. maybe you guys fix it right, or maybe you spend a bunch of money and your entry level buddy who thinks he knows more than he does screws something up and now you have beef with your friends and/or family.Or you stop being cheap when it comes to the single most useful possession that you have, and go to a place like Bobs thats been around many decades. You dont stay in business that long these days by screwing people over.

I was introduced to Bobs Automotive in 1993 by my then-girlfriend. I needed work done on my 89 Sunbird, and was leery of the work Id had done by name brand auto stores prior to that.Over the next 20 years, Bobs Automotive proved themselves to be as reliable, dependable, and friendly as one could ever ask from an auto service. They kept my 95 Corolla in excellent condition until 2012 (when I was ready to upgrade to a new vehicle), and my 04 Corolla to this day.I lived within walking distance, but they always offered me a ride to or from their facility, especially in poor weather. They always gave my cars a once-over, whether they were in for an oil change or something more serious. If they found anything of any severity, Dan, the owner, would call and discuss it with me -- I never once showed up to a surprise bill -- and together we would determine whether or not I really needed it worked on right away or if it could wait. Many times Dan would tell me, I think you can probably put it off until next time ... and never once did this advice come back to haunt us.Likewise, during the handful of times where something was wrong that Bobs didnt have the proper equipment to handle (such as, I believe, flushing my air conditioner system? Something like that), Dan would recommend different mechanics in the area, and tell me what price I could likely expect to pay. He would then leave it up to me as to the final choice of where to take my vehicle, but his suggestions panned out every single time.When it finally came time for my family to move away earlier this year, we knew we would sorely miss living so close to a trustworthy mechanic. If it werent so impracticable, we would be seriously tempted to continue using Bobs Automotive even from 20+ miles further away.If you live in or around the Garden Grove area, I strongly recommend Bobs Automotive. If you are a do-it-yourself mechanic, sure, I imagine you can find cheaper parts and take matters into your own hands. But if you are less comfortable with automotive maintenance, and yet want the ease-of-mind of a reliable service, you will have difficulty finding any place better than Bobs Automotive.

I called for an estimate for a broken throttle cord in my car. They called me back saying it was going to be 165$ to 175$ part and labor. I felt like that was a rip off. The part was only 25$ so i just fixed it myself in 30 min. Everything runs perfect. If they would have gave me a fair price and everything went smooth i believe they would have had a good customer with all my project cars i would have like to fix. They sound very nice and trustworthy but dont be fooled. Business must be good or they didnt want to work on my car.

Bryan was totally rude on the phone. Suggested i should go somewhere else to fix my vacum leak. Which is very surprising to hear from a manager whom in goodfaith should have customers best interest in mind, but apparently not for this vulgar fraud and crook-like manager.

We have been dealing with Bobs Automotive for the past 20+ years when Dan ran it. Now Brian runs the shop and couldnt be happier. Recently took a potential car to them to do a pre-purchase check up on a car my son was thinking of buying, it looked good on the outside, but the carfax showed some possible concerns. Brian had one the techs check it out and came up with some real concerns. Advised us on what the costs would be and advised us to walk away from this one. Sure glad we did as the repairs and required maintenance (that hadnt been done in years) would have cost us the same as the price on the car. THANK YOU GUYS!!!
