This is the gym de la gyms. It’s the best and has it all. Classes, BBall courts (awesome), luxurious appointments throughout, the best equipment, huge place. Day care, cafe, spa, salon, hot tubs indoor and outdoor pools thr list goes on and on. I spent a few hrs here yesterday and got a reminder why I’m a member. The best in the biz.

First time going to the gym as member experience was great. Walked in, got my ID. Then went straight up to workout. Everyone there is very respectful, they maintain the yoga mats clean after each use, and the basketball court has multiple hoops and not usually occupied during the weekday nights. Overall I had a pleasant first day experience at Lifetime and can’t wait to be there everyday!

Its a pretty solid gym for the price. You might have to wait a little if you go during peak hours but the personnel is attentive and keep the machines clean.

Hands down the best gym. Large and spacious facility and complete equipment. Clean and a real pleasant place to work out. A lot of complimentary classes that come with membership and an indoor and outdoor pool available. Parking will never be a problem because aside from the huge parking lot that they have, they even have a multi level parking building.The monthly fee is on the expensive side but for all the ameneties and how they keep the place clean, I believe it is worth the money. And, If you have kids, there is a kids academy where you can drop them off while you are working out which has a playground and classes available. They also have a Cafe if you need to fuel up after your workout. Awesome place!

Ive been a member for a few years now and l really have a lot of respect for the employees and specifically the general manager of this club. My complaints can only be related to my fellow members not the club or the staff! The general manager truly treats this establishment like his own business. Thank you LT for a great club!

I hear from members in Syosset that this is a lovely gym experience. I came from out of town to try the gym for a week or two and never during my specific times of calling over weekend operating hours and on weekday opens hours did the front desk every pick up. When I pressed #2 for the new membership prompt it did not ring twice and a very energetic friendly voice (7/19/21 after 6pm) was ready to serve me. Just an observation, no opinion nor judgment. I took off a star for I had to technically come in to get an answer on a question my gym in my home town would earnestly pick up even on the first ring.

Great gym, customer service staff is honestly the best. Could use a little more cleanliness in locker room areas other than that. Fantastic folks

This gym is highly worth the price. A wonderful yoga studio, CrossFit type small group workouts (if you have Signature,) new machines, wonderful free weight areas, indoor & outdoor swimming pools, 2 huge waterslides, hot tubs, saunas, stream rooms. You dont need to bring a lock. The bathrooms are immaculate stocked with free razors, lotion, hair products, & tampons, plus great staff from the cleaners, customer service, life guards, & more. So many free events too! I love it here.

I just joined Lifetime in Garden City a couple of months ago.Lifetime is by far the best health club I have ever been to.I enjoy swimming. Ive never experienced a health club that has both a luxury outdoor and 2 indoor swimming pools.Every other health club I have always had to share my lane with someone else or had reduced lanes due to swim teams or childrens birthday parties. But at Lifetime I get a luxurious experience with plenty of free lanes.The staff all the way from the guy who signed me up to the front desk, the trainers to the lifeguards is extremely friendly and very professional.The equipment is even better than Equinox. I havent tried the classes yet because I still dont feel comfortable yet but as soon as the situation changes I will try that as well.Lastly, they so go out of the way to keep everyone safe. Masks are worn all the time.

It was good until we got to the family lockers. There was a very rude cleaning lady there. Blaming us for open lockers when we only had one we touched. Huffing and puffing about mopping. And yelled at my wife when we were trying to leave because I lifted my daughter up to reach my shores which were on top of the lockers. The cleaning lady name is Denia and thanks to that we will no longer be returning

It isnt cheap but in the end its worth it. Could use a bit more specialized weights/gear, but they have everything you need to get the job done- its the best combo of gym/luxury amenities/swimming in the area!

I’ve been to plenty of lifetimes in the New York Area and this one just doesn’t match upTo the others. Has nothing to do with the facility it’s the staff. They are so rude and full of themselves at this location. They are very off putting and lazy. No one cleans there and they complain about cleaning if they have to. I love lifetime but won’t be returning toThis one. I almost canceled my membership because of this location. But I love every other lifetime I’ve been to. Everywhere else they are friendly and helpful. JUST NOT AT GARDEN CITY LOCATION STAY AWAY.

Off the bat, the gym membership is worth the $160 if you love to take classes. Like its unlimited classes, 4 pools, huge facility so you can spread out. A cafe, a spa. If I wasnt a class person Id say idk if its worth $160. Pretty sure I got sick from coming here like 2 months ago, but it wasnt COVID. But it definitely was ~something~. Anyways, its def safer here than any of these other nasty a** gyms on LI

So the gyms opened up yesterday. I hate to say it but the vibe is so different. 😞 Before it was all about being around like-minded people and those who are motivated.Now it’s more like everyone trying to avoid each other and you can tell some were a little scared. 😕 85% of people were putting their mask below their nose because it was difficult to breathe while working out. Some I saw working out without a mask faced the opposite direction of the workers trying to not get caught. 😷 Not everyone cleaned the machines after they used them. I also saw no workers cleaning the machines constantly. 🙌We are not allowed to use the Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, basketball courts..... We are paying high prices for a luxury gym now just for their updated workout equipment, classes and pool... They won’t even discount us, which is absolutely beyond me. Hopefully someone will help us. Because if we are using only half of the gym, I believe that we should only be paying half of the price.😒 Their constant message back is that we have credits left from the month that had Covid and we can put our account on hold for free.... geee thanks👋 We pay as a couple and have been there for years..... I feel so uncared-for and mistreated

The best Gym ever .

Back in February I wanted to cancel my membership and was convinced to put it on hold, never told that when the club reopens they will automatically start charging my account. They reopened in September and without my authorization automatically started charging my CC. When I called to explain we have not been back to the club since we put the membership on hold they said they would not credit the 4 months they charged me. Very disappointed at the way they chose to handle this.They never made the effort to call me when the club was going to reopen. They sent an e-mail alone with the millions of other emails they send normally. SLEAZY PRACTICE, NO WAY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS!

This gym is operated like a scam. You can never truly cancel your account - I have tried to cancel, multiple times and the few times I actually have been able to speak with someone I have been promised it would be resolved - 9 MONTHS LATER I AM STILL BEING CHARGED.It’s like hotel California there - you can join but you can never leave!!!

I was a founding member of this gym since 2018.I suspended membership in September 2020. Lifetime still charged my family every month through January 2021. No refund. I filed complaint with Ny attorney General and credit card. Lifetime basically stole my money - not cool!!

I went to lifetime for 12 months, paying $300 a month for a 3 person family. The gym is very clean, and the classes are excellent. Towels, shavers, and lockers with locks are provided. The training equipment is very high quality and there are always enough machines available to get what you need done. Ultimately I left because the cost was excessive for the amount of times we were going. I would recommend this as a one stop for someone looking to do fitness classes and have a training facility. Provided you go enough times a month, the value is excellent.

Great for singles and families! Luxurious Country Club feel! Definitely utilize all the amenities they are top of the line ! Beautiful locker room ! The steam room and sauna are fabulous! Very clean ! If youre looking for a gym look no further ! Lifetime has it all and for an incomparable price in my opinion!

This gym is absolutely amazing. If your going to sign up I highly suggest you go to Michael Jenssen! He is one of the account managers there and he is super helpful and nice! He was extremely knowledgeable about everything in the gym and he told me about all the services that the gym had to offer. Thank you Michael for being such a great help!!! This gym is awesome.

Great Gym, cleanliness is great, great personal trainers

I love the Kids Academy staff and group workout instructors.I just gained five pounds over the holiday season and was hoping to burn some of it off by taking extra workout classes during this holiday break. However, the studios for group instruction just had their floors redone and the smell is overpowering and giving me throat pain. Three days ago I asked management to put in fans to create some air circulation, but it hasnt been done yet. When I paid $20 a month for Synergy, the management always tried to make patrons feel comfortable; now I pay $305 a month and have trouble breathing due to the strong odors of floor sealant.

Easy to see right off of Zeckendorf Boulevard servicing Garden City and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Clean facilities. Public Restrooms. Cafe and Swimming pool on premises. Close to Meadowbrook State Parkway. We will definitely be going back.

For the amount of money ppl shell out for this facility they should be treating ppl like royalty. a big no- no for me is the payment issues, thats a deal breaker for me. if the claims are true that some ppls monthly fees go up without notice or constant double charging customers, that a huge red flag. thanks for the heads up ppl, this is the 21st century, if businesses have to play games with ppl in order to make money, thats a problem. theres just too many complaints here for me to spend that kind of money. and whoever is answering customers complaints on here, you go to do better than just some generic response buddy.. sounds like the place is sorely mismanaged. thanks but no thanks its a good thing I looked a bit more into this place..

If you go at least 4 times a week and take part in the classes offered, it is money well spent! Super clean and helpful staff.

This is an amazing gym! The locker rooms are always clean, the layout is terrific, and it is an overall very uplifting and relaxing atmosphere! I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great time!

This is a great gym to workout at. They have everything in their including a Life Time Athletic. The staff is very friendly and so are the people that frequent the gym.

I love coming to yoga and cycle classes here. They are the best! I have had several personal training sessions with Katie. She has high energy and US super upbeat. I am exhausted after a session but in a few short weeks feel more comfortable in my body! The Life Spa us great too. Super friendly.

Sales Rep Edward is very deceiving. At the time I signed up he was all smiles and thank yous, however, after that initial payment he changed. Lied to me a few times about things he was supposed to do and never did. Kenny his boss was supposed to follow up on it and never did. Not even an e-mail. If you sign up to this Gym please be aware, record your conversations. Facilities are awesome, but if the people working there are awful then it is pointless.

I’ve been a lifetime member for 6 years and have been to 5 different locations. Without a doubt, the experience I had with Patrick Gilmartin today was the best I’ve had throughout my entire time with Lifetime. Patrick was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. Needless to say the gym itself is also great.

STOLEN Car, wallet, watch :Garden City Long Island, NY. Unprofessional and poor response from front desk and staff.On Mar 2nd around 9pm, put my stuff in locker.Within 30 mins came back, found locker unlocked, bag etc missing. Told to staff who spent 20 mins checking other lockers and then called his supervisor. One of the staff found my bag in the toilet, I checked and found wallet, belongings and car key missing. Ran out in Parking lot and found car missing.

I was excited to join this gym, after experiencing this brand in Minneapolis but this is a huge disappointment. The membership is way over- priced, especially considering the staff is rude, classes aren’t at great times (not starting at 5am), and there haven’t been any upgrades. All of their emails are marketing messages getting you to buy more, not trying to actually help you sustain a healthy life. The membership keeps going up, for nothing, which is a national thing. Every gym has increased their prices multiple times this year.

Because of special front desk person named Daniel, I close my 5 years old account. Have worst experience in my life.

My family signed up last month. I have not made it til last week. I was so impressed with the place that I have been going every day since !!! I go with with my 3 year old daughter alone ( if her mother does not make it) She absolutely loves the pool ( so do I, it is heated) . She loves the kids club and really has a blast! It is expensive, however just seeing how much fun my daughter has there is worth it.I see a lot if. Negative reviews about the staff. So far everyone has been very nice ! ( I will update if needed :) ) I am.writing this for people that are on the fence of joining . Try it out you might be pleasantly surprised! Oh and go see EDDIE to sign up. That is who signed us up. He is a real gentleman, plus he gave me a free month. So mention that tooEdit:I left after the summer. Outside pool is great but verrryy crowded most of the time.

Very clean, often sanitized. Not so crowded, a bit expensive but its worth it for the non existent wait times for machines and racks.

A great plan with poor execution and even worse management. It started as a great promise for those willing to pay the extra $ for better Service and a pampered experience. Today is nothing else than a LA FITNESS but 4 times the price. Clean up the lockers, hire the right management team, and put together the proper aquatic training program and you might survive, otherwise I see you out of business in 3 years

Been going to lifetime for over two years now and mostly love it— tons of equipment (including racks) and awesome amenities. The steam room is my favorite. I’m not sure what people are talking about when they say it’s dirty— clearly they have not been elsewhere, as this is the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. Gyms are busy and people are sweating; no gym will be perpetually spotless.My only gripes are that the staff are often rude (e.g., kicking you off a piece of equipment when they want it for their personal training session, and asking not very nicely) and they frequently hold alpha classes that take up all the racks on the third floor at peak times, which leaves only two racks open for the rest of the gym members. Two racks at peak hours are not enough for a gym with this kind of volume. If you’re serious about body building, prepare to wait in line for a rack.Overall though, would recommend. Much better than LA fitness and worth the price if you take advantage of the facilities and amenities. And free yoga classes is a HUGE plus, as a stand-alone monthly membership at any yoga studio will run you about the same price as the monthly membership here, where you get yoga and a whole lot more.

Summary of events:Weve been there for membership as a family 3 weeks ago.Sales Manager as usual promoted the facility and we liked it and enrolled on the very same day.Day after we understood that, we have been given misinformation about the kids club. We decided to cancel day after our membership enrollment maybe hours I can say. Mike Sales Manager told me that he is going to cancel the membership and refund the amount in 7 business days.3 weeks later, No refund back! Additionally, they charged another monthly fee today.Ive been to facility, since no one was responding the calls, I learned that our membership is still active.Everything is wrong from start.1) Misinformation about facility2) Misinformation about cancellation3) Misinformation about my refund4) Sales Manager ‘’Mike’’ should have called me 2 hours ago but still nothing.I am sure they will say someting like, system has some problems etc.But the reality, he was filling his quote and right away cancellation will be hard to explain so sales manager didnt cancel our membership 3 weeks ago.

I loved Lifetime when it first opened. Now it is overcrowded and overpriced. Just this year they raised the price two times Totaling $20 more a month which is another 240 a year. There have been 0 upgrades in this time!!!! Wishing Equinox would open near me!!! If you want to stay you just have to deal with these arbitrary price increases!!! You can’t sign up at a yearly rate....it is month to month. Love all my teachers but not worth $179 a month!!!!!!!

This place is like a workout paradise. The gym is so well cared for. My favorite place is the yoga studio where you feel like youre in a world of comfort and calm. The classes are longer than other gyms and the instructors really love getting involved with each person in the classes. Ive tried all the classes for yoga and a few of the dance classes... They are all top notch. I am new to all of the classes as Ive tried other gyms and walked out within 15 minutes feeling like the instructor had 2 or 3 favorite people who were there every day and ignored the new people. This gym doesnt do that. The pools are perfect and the ladies rooms are immaculate. Theres a coed jacuzzi, and one in each locker room. The cafe is great as well as the salon. There are kids around... If youre not into the whole family thing then you may not appreciate this... For my family, this is the perfect spot for 3 hours each weekend where our kid has an array of classes while we work out and relax in the sauna or jacuzzi or swim. This place rocks... Worth every penny.

By far the best amenities Ive seen at any gym. My 3 stars is based on the service here. The service doesnt match the luxurious gym. For example, when I signed up, I was given 3 different prices. One for family, one for individual, and one for 12 month commitment. I was clear with my rep that I travel a great deal and would need to cancel at anytime or pause my membership, and he said no problem. He didnt tell me there was a charge to pause my membership. I received a free month of swim lessons for my daughter, so each time I tried to schedule no one would answer the phone or would say all sessions or full. Then I offered to pay, and everything opened up; magical right. The family bathroom was filthy. On top of paying for my free lessons, I had to endure dirty towels, diapers, moldy showers with two little kids; members are to blame for that. Anyway, beautiful facilities but same gym tactics that LA Fitness or any other gym employs.. If youre into service, I hear the Syosset location does a good job at that.

The customer service here is top notch. It is well managed and maintained. The trainers are amazing. Its a little pricer than the rest; however, its worth every penny. Highly recommend.

Great gym.Very clean. Tons of equipment and machines and weights.Own separate spin and yoga studios are great.Huge indoor pool and outdoor pool.If you are a swimmer they have a separate pool for lap swimming and they have kick boards, pull buoys, and fins to use.The locker room is spacious and tons of lockers. Each locker room as its own hot tub, sauna, and steam room.

They should change the name of this gym to Chinguard Athletic since most of the patrons and some of the staff wear their masks on their chin, if at all.

Unorganized staff, they bill my card credit twice a month, I have to call them everytime for them dispute it. My kids had swimming class there the teachers are young and not good teachers.

I have been here multiple times as a guest. I love how this gym is really spacious and never gets crowded. I also love ending my workout by going in the hot tub and/or dry sauna.

Easy join but when you try to the cancel the membership they will still charge you after they said they cancelled. Than they will ask you go in there in person to cancel and pay for another month which you never went.... worse experience ever

In the spirit of total transparency is my regular everyday gym. The facility is kept sparkling clean and offers a lot of amenities. If youre familiar with LifeTime locations elsewhere, this location will not disappoint. The facility is Diamond rated, making it flagship quality. This gym is unlike any other; offering me the ability to get in, park, and just workout without having to wait, push, or deal with crowds. Now all of this comes at a price; and having been a member of some of the surrounding offerings it is well worth it, in the time savings alone (not to mention cleanliness).

I feel like the staff is very rude they definitely have to be a little nicer since families come to enjoy the summer there with the kids. General manager is also not such a big help.

The Garden City location has some of the most rude and unhelpful staff. You pay good money for this gym and expect some sort of common courtesy. Clearly was told that they can’t do some things on my account, then I go to Syosset and their managers take care of it. When I said this to the Garden City employees, I was told “Feel free to go to Syosset.”Don’t go here. There are many better ways to spend $180 and get treated like you go there for free.

Mak is the best trainer ever! he got my body fat down from 24% to 18% and down 25 lbs. he has truly become a friend. And David is the best physical therapist. fixed my shoulder in 2 visits.

This is by far the best family-friendly place Ive been with my wife and 3 boys (8, 6 and 3 years old). We all enjoyed the time there exercising and having fun. Excellent, professional, courteous staffs as well as exceptionally clean and well stocked up with towels, shampoos, soaps and etc.Truly living up to its name Life Time, I am so grateful to my friends who introduced me to the place. They will not allow you to cancel or put your membership on hold over the phone even though upon signing up I was told I could do so. Rude employees/poor customer service. I was a member for 2 years when I was under 25 and they still charged me the full rate even though due to my age I qualified for a discounted rate. You’re much better off paying any other luxury gym unless you have a million kids you want to drop off at the daycare for free it’s not worth it to deal with the employees.

Big fan of this Gym. A small suggestion if it really matters to you to pay attention. if you guys can keep, soap, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, deodorant, shaver and mouth wash then why not After Shave?? shouldnt be a big deal for you guys. isnt it?

Youd think that this kind of high class gym would have a working website. Well, you were wrong. Tried to go online to see memberships and build mine, but was not even able to pick a location. The website kept crashing every time I picked Garden City location. Disappointed.

I have been a member since lifetime time open. The classes are great along with the instructors. However the aquatics department is HORRIBLE. My son has been swimming here since he was 2. According to the lifeguard and management he cannt be in the water (2ft 3in deep) without an adult being on deck. The management needs additional training and they need to hire better lifeguards. All the AMAZING swim instructors are no longer here. It’s quite disappointing. I will NOT recommend the aquatics center if you are looking to have your child learn to swim.

The gym itself looks amazing. Feels like youre in a resort. The reason for the 3 stars is because of a bad experience at the beginning of my membership. I was scheduled to see a specific training whom I requested, for 10 am. On arrival, they had the time wrong. There was no real apologies. Furthermore, I was rescheduled for another day with a completely different trainer. The guy never asked me if I wanted to be rescheduled with the same trainer which happened to be him. Didnt like how they treated a new member. Not the way you close on a sale.

I have been a lifetime member for over an year now. I usually play a little basketball to warm up before I go into my workout. Recently they make members go all the way down 2 floors to the front desk just to get a ball. I think they forgot the reason people go to this place spending 7 times the amount of normal gyms is because of the conveniences. If you can’t offer that than they may not be around. This policy of picking up a basketball from 2 floors down to the front desk is absolutely ridiculous.

By far the cleanest gym in NY. Its more of a day spa the just a gym. Amazing facilities. Top notch food bar! Family Day Spa!

When you sign up they state that they require “30 days notice” not that they need a certified letter in the mail or a visit to the club. It’s a nice looking club but then you realize it’s the same as every other gym, just more expensive. Also, they try to slime ball you into their fitness magazine that is a reoccurring charge that you have to opt out of even though you wont ever sign up for it. Clowns.
