JJ has been doing my hair color for a year and half and does a wonderful job every time! I completely trust her with her professional opinion and she’s always very professional.

JJ is a great stylist that is a wizard with color! She has done my daughter’s hair and mine for years and we love how special she makes us feel and how beautifully she always does with color! I have also seen other pictures from greatly satisfied customers. She can do Blonde so well and always makes my daughter look amazing. JJ was professional sweet & made time for my little ones first hair cut, walking her through the entire process to ease her nerves. I’ve seen Jalayne’s color on multiple people so I had high hopes of her quality and she DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Highly recommend.

MELTED HAIR WITH NO REFUND.Stylist was pressed for time, rushed appointment, fried hair. Owner and stylist refuse to give a full refund. Hair was breaking off when brushed through it. No responsibility taken and was very unprofessional and RUDE when asked for a full refund. Stylist was more concerned with her spotless reputation than the result.

Jalayne Spears over-processed a customers hair and then treated them like it was their fault when they called to discuss resolving the issue. Horrible customer service from the business owner, who said she cant do anything because they are independent contractors, not her employees!

I have been getting my hair highlighted blonde since I was 15 and nobody does it better than JJ at Legends! I live in KC and still come back to garden to get my hair done.

WORST HAIR EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!I went for my appointment with JJ Spear to lighten my already blonde hair to remove some brass and have a more cool-toned blonde. I was there on time and waited almost 15 minutes for her to come to get me. When I showed her what I was wanting from a reference picture. She said that it was doable and went to mix up her product. She came back and started at the front of my hair where it is more fragile and applied a ton of product to the sides and then when she got to the back barely used any and that was where the brass was the biggest issue. After applying most of the product she told me that she had to take a minute to let her next client know that she was going to have to push her back. She finished applying and then set me under the heat for 10-15 minutes. Didnt check on me at all until she turned it off to wash. While she was washing she told me that she had to push back her client again. At this point, I was very uncomfortable and felt like I was being pushed out the door. I told her that she could just dry my hair a little so she didnt have to make her next client wait anymore. When she brushed my hair her brush was covered in my hair that was melted off. When I left I barely ran my fingers through my hair and knew it was beyond repair. My hair was gummy and breaking off with ease. I let it dry and then when it was drying I noticed that my hair, on the top of my head, was cool-toned with lots of dark lowlights and the underneath hair to the ends was still brassy and had big strips of dark brown like a zebra. I then decided to let her know what was going on. She was so unprofessional telling me that this has never happened to her and that she thought my hair looked wonderful. We went back and forth talking about my hair and she pushed all the blame on me saying my hair was already really damaged and I should have known better. I offered to go in a let her look but she took so long to get back to me that I had decided that I just wanted a refund so I could go elsewhere to get it fixed. She refused to fully refund me as well as the owner Pat Landon.

Stylist THREATENS client!JJ Spear is unprofessional, petty towards me when I told her about my hair and how it’s melted due to her negligence. She THREATENED me!JJ responded to my messages of concern for my hair by blaming me saying my hair was already compromised! Which was far from the truth. She ended the conversation by telling me to leave her alone OR SEE WHAT HAPPENS. This was in response to a photo that showed how much hair was falling out when passing a wide-toothed comb through my hair once. JJ Spear first said that the hair in the picture was not the clients because it was too corse. Probably more corse then that last time JJ saw it because the clients hair was fried when she left. A threat...a threat from a stylist and someone who apparently is going to take over the salon. Its so unfortunate how immature and unprofessional JJ Spear is. She is currently reaching out to her friends and family to leave positive google reviews in light of being called out after she severely damaged and melted my hair by over processing it with bleach and heat.

You have to seriously question the integrity of a business that removes bad reviews from Facebook and brides clients and stylists for positive reviews...As a former client of Legends (15 years) and Studio One, I am truly disturbed by the behavior of Pat Landon, the owner, and cosmetologist JJ Speer.After my sister had her hair severely over processed by JJ, I encouraged my sister to reach out to JJ and explain the situation and see if a resolution could be reached. JJ was defensive and went so far as to blame the client for the situation... saying that she should have expected this. Offered to get her back in for a conditioning treatment with NO follow through. After getting nowhere with JJ, I encouraged my sister to reach out to the owner, Pat Landon. I just knew that Pat would know how to de-escalate the situation. NOPE!!Pat doubled down. She explained that she is no more that a glorified landlord and had no control over the stylists who work in HER salon.After a week of being run around and disrespected by JJ and Pat, a review was posted to Facebook, which has since been deleted.I know that JJ is a good stylist, Ive seen the evidence.... what she is not, is professional or mature enough to take ownership for a mistake. She did not handle this situation with grace and compassion, which would have been the LEAST she could do after she ruined someones hair.Being good at your craft will only get you so far when you and your business lack integrity, honesty, and compassion.-J

This place is very good profesional and quick. They offer many other services besides hair cuts. Coloring hair is a bit on the high side but they make up for it with a quality job.

Jalayne is amazing! She is very thorough at waxing and makes everything painless!

Lane is awesome! She was so sweet and did exactly what I asked. I am a high anxiety customer so being new to a place is hard for me. She was great. This place is very nice almost everyone had a smile on their face and seemed very genuine. I will continue to use Lane for sure..

I had never been to Legends before, but I had recently moved to the area and needed a new salon. I called to make an appointment and they were immediately friendly and got me in the very next day! Lane was open to my ideas for a new look I wanted and made me feel so beautiful. She made my hair look better than I even expected. I was so pleased with the way everything turned out!

Stephanie and Layne are great! They did me and my daughters nails! Layne was so great with my daughter and made it a fun experience for her.

Too much money for what you get. They dont do much of a pedicure. Just basically soak and lotion your foot then paint your nails for $45. Dont bother

I went there to get my horrible hair done, and very cautious of the people that do my hair, i was expecting it to be a bad experience. Over all, the person Lane, was very nice, and treated my hair back to its beauty. She was awesome! And i will be going back.

From out of town but was really in need of a haircut. Since my hair is growing thicker and faster than ever from the product I am using, I was game to try my luck with a new hairdresser.I read every review from every place in town...yeah I’m one of those:)Found this place and JJ was mentioned multiple times favorably and I made the appointment.JJ is very personable and she became my trusted confidant just the way a hairdresser can immediately;)She was super communicative throughout what she was doing in order to provide me with a look I would be happy with.I am happy with her and her skills...so much so we discussed me coming back to do my color.Posted my before pic and what I was thinking of doing on Facebook to mixed response.Posted my after pic and have received over 150 likes and comments and counting.Make the appointment:)If in the unlikely event u r unhappy, call me and I will get u my product to grow it right back;)

Online and website says they close at 6pm. Showed up hat 4:55pm and door was locked. Made eye contact with a blinde lady and she waved goodbye and turned ti keep talking to a friend. Please dont advertise hours if you are not going to adhere by them.
