This place is Horrible. Do not come here no matter what Richard promised you. He will take twice as long as everyone else, not communicate with you and his fee schedule is ridiculous. He doesnt respect or care about your time. If I could give it negative stars I would!!!

Just left RG truck service after they fixed a leak in our fuel line. Called them from the highway after trying many other service centers that were too busy to help us. They were so great to work with, reasonable, friendly and a clean work place. I highly recommend them!

CASH ONLY AND HEAVY MARKUP, though nice people. Im not a fan of bad reviews, and it could have been worse, but when you get charged $178 per tire for a $88 tire found at Walmart, youre getting gouged. Ok, theres a heavy markup, that happens, but we werent told at the outset or in any of the 3 subsequent hours while waiting that they didnt accept credit cards. This is problematic.

There is really bad customer service. When our trucker broken down we called a towing service. The towing service RECOMMEND us this TRUCK SERVICES. The owenr name is RICHARD changed a NEW transmission. Take around half month. When we picked it and go back in a half trip. The trucker broken down again. Richard told us send trucker to our dealer to check the problem. The dealer told us there is no fluid at all thats why our new transmission broken down again. So I try to contact with Richard he give a another guy s number. Let me call him.For a few days I cant contact to anybody. When I contact whit them. They still find the other reason to cover up the truth and play games with us. Even though dealer told RICHARD reason already.For now we need spend ＄20000 more to repair the trucker！！！And spend more time！！ We will fight with them by legal way.！！！ Dont trust any towing service s RECOMMEND！！！！！！

We were driving our Prevost Bus On our way to St. Louis. Stopped in Winslow Arizona overnight. When we woke it was 4° outside. We got on the road And started having problems fairly quickly and we weren’t sure what it was.... we actually thought it was the road. our bus was like being on a roller coaster it was just bouncing so hard in fact the blinds fell off the windshield because of the violent nature of the bouncing Pulled off in Gallup called R and G truck repair in addition to a tow truck because we didn’t think we would be able to make it. We lost all air in front suspension. We were able to drive it ourselves to R and G. They immediately looked at it and couldn’t find anything wrong with it. It was decided that it was the O-rings. Because of the cold air outside it wasn’t able to seal and the air was leaking out. Richard, the owner told us that once it heated up that we would be able to continue driving it with no problem. He didn’t charge us anything. We would highly recommend his services. He seem to be very honest, professional and all-around good guy that you can trust to work on vehicle.

Traveling from Cortez in our travel trailer the electrical cord hookup from the trailer to the truck was destroyed. No lights on trailer and no battery.for trailer. We called and was told to bring the rig right in and they would look at it. Wonderful service! The shop is very clean. Professional. Within an hour we were out on the road again with lights and battery. Highly recommend this business. Thank you so much.

Talk about RIP OFF ARTIST, Richard is the king. He charged me full price for parts he took off someone elses truck, parts he did not put on my truck and freight he did not have. He was Rude, Prejudice, and Male Chauvinistic. I would NEVER recommend him to ANYONE....

We were driving our Tiffin Alegro Bus through snow and our windshield wiper blade and mechanism broke. We called for emergency service and the team there stopped all other work to repair our broken parts. RG is very close to the freeway and easy to drive in and out of. They had a new wiper blade delivered within 20 minutes, and since our wiper mechanism parts were custom parts and not available anywhere locally, the RG team modified our existing wiper hardware so it would work for our trip. We were on the road within an hour and the wiper worked perfectly for our entire trip. Everyone at RG was exteremely friendly, and a pleasure to work with.Thank you to everyone at RG Truck Service.

Woke up to a school bus that wouldn’t start in the harsh cold weather and needed to hit the road to make it to next stop on time. These guys showed up fast and got me running in no time. HIGHLY recommend these guys for any work you need done in Gallup! Very happy and satisfied customer!!

There are no negative stars otherwise I would give -5(minus 5)if your truck breaks down in the Gallup area you are better off towing the truck to either place Albuquerque or Farmington if youre heading east, if youre heading west take it to Flagstaff AZ to the Rush Truck Center, at least you can get an accurate diagnostic from qualified technicians.RG was contracted to diagnose accurately and repair my engine accordingly, he failed to even diagnose the cause of the problem; since I pulled my unit out of his claws because he tried to charge me $20,000.00 and I catch him lying about his diagnostic he got difficult, for saying it politely.If you go to that shop you will be charged an after hours fee, they work Mon-Fri closed on Sat-SunThat advertisement 24/7 is misleading, they cant properly diagnose an electronic diesel engine either for lack of equipment or training or both. If you pull your unit out of this place because the price they give you seems excessive Mr Gruda will immediately baptize you CHEAPI will never give him my business or my trust. On top of having a broke down truck I had to endure his trying to pull a con job on me and he completely disabled my unit, disgraceful behavior. I posted a picture of the invoice I got from him, he did not write a diagnostic and the CALL OUT fee is an unwanted addition to the bill, they did not go out to provide service I went by my own power to this place and was awarded with a $100 charge just for showing up there. I am posting a picture of the CON JOB ATTEMPT (RGs invoice in yellow) NO diagnostic is stated here and that is the core of the matter: he was hired to diagnose and repair accordingly instead he tore apart the engine disabling it completely and verbally stated that my engine had a SCORED LINER he never got to actually see the liners; also I am posting the repair invoice of a reputable shop in Phoenix AZ, Arizona Truck Engine Specialists, what a difference!01/30/2019 UPDATE:My unit is working as good as new after the repair performed by ATES, no problems with scored liners and no need to overhaul the engine for $20,000.00 + dollars09/04/19The SCORED LINERS are holding up just fine, unit is working strong like it should; I guess the mechanic that worked on my unit really knows his trade unlike Mr. R. Broke down 40 miles West of Gallup on I-40. Got a tow in to the local Chevrolet dealership, but they could not help me out. We found R.G. Truck service. Pulled up and the owner immediately come out and told me to pulled up to the door. I told him i believed it was the thermostat and in 2 hours he had me back up and running again. If it wasnt for them i would have been stranded in Gallup for up to 2 weeks waiting on my truck to be completed at the Chevrolet dealership. I would highly recommend these guys!

Worst customer service, Over Priced!!!! To replace the radiator on my truck they charged me $3000, is not a joke!!! Better go to the dealer!!!

So we sat in a hotel room for days over a holiday weekend just waiting to find out what can be done to fix our truck so we can get home to CA and Steve was great! He didnt just try to do the easy fix which was thousands of dollars, instead he searched for a cheaper solution. How many mechanics do that? He helped us get home again with the least amount of pain. It was fate that we found him because we stopped into Roy T Hermans Garage & Service in Thoreau, NM and while he was not able to help us, he directed us to R G. Thank you so much to Herman and to Steve for helping us get home.

Another truck in my company blew the engine and truck and trailer was towed to their yard. I was dispatched to bobtail out and take the loaded trailer on west for delivery. Steve went out of his way to enable me to pick it up after hours, let me take my break on the property, and was genuinely concerned with my dilemma/mission. The outside area was all I saw, but everything was clean, neat, and in great appearance! I have saved their contact info and wont hesitate to call them if I again have a need in the Gallup area!

Great customer service and they were a life saver for us traveling from az and needed our fifth wheel bumper welded. They did great work and were friendly and expedited our work to fit into our travel needs we would definitely use them again as a matter if fact we think we will stop on our way home and have them complete some more welding for us! Our trailer lost a wheel and bent the axle. Steve answered the phone on a sunday evening and met us at the shop to look at the damage. We were heading to a trade show in Vegas that started on Thursday. Unfortunately, our axle had to be custom made by Dexter. We rented a uhaul and Steve let us unload and reload the trailers right there in his yard. When we finished our ten day show and got back to Gallup, our trailer was completely done. They did a fabulous job!!! Steve and the guys were a pleasure to work with! We might just stop by next year to say hello on our way through.

Steve is so wonderful we started to have electric issue and he met us ten miles put of town at 11pm to drive us back to the shop. He did his best at the job but in the end only the dealer could fix. He let us use his vehicle when my son developed a fever and was more helpful then any type of mechanic I have ever met. Not sure why he has one stars but you can not please eveyone!

Steve & his team had done a miraculous job. They swapped transmissions in total of 36 hours from the time I arrived until the time I left. They removed the old transmission while the new transmission was in route and delivered overnight. The communication & honestly had topped their professionalism.

My work semi truck broke down in Jamestown, NM and I had a tow company tow me to RG Truck Services. My issue was a major issue which involved being stuck at a hotel required major engine work and transmission renoval and reinstall. These mechanics were awesome! Very understanding. Steve was awesome! He was great to talk to. Unfortunately in the long run the truck needed a new engine but Steve was really helpful and helped me get my stuff out of the truck so I could get into another work truck. I would definitely recommend but please keep in mind they are a smaller shop so dont expect to be in and out with a major job like me. Highly recommended!

Broke down in my tractor/trailer was able to get to the repair shop and have nothing but great things to say about Steve and his men. Repaired and out the door in a couple of hours. Very fair priced and good people!

Great place to get work done by honest folks. Very fair price, but the service was exceptional. Steve was great to deal with. I spent the night in Gallup on my way to Phoenix, the temp dipped to -10 F and my 07 Duramax would not start the next morning (along with a lot of other Diesel trucks.) I called Steve on the advice of the Hotel manager at the Days Inn. While Steve could not get to me right away due to the number of folks in line in front of me, he did keep calling me back to see how I was making out and did get to me by noon of the day I called. The seals in my very old primer pump had failed in the cold and the fuel pump was sucking air. Steve and folks diagnosed the problem, got a new part from the Dealer and got me underway by 8:30 AM the next morning and a very reasonable price. I highly recommend R G Truck Services. And a PS to the owner, as a employer myself, you should do what it takes to keep Steve and his crew happy. They are doing a great job for you. Worst Shop ever I was told that they would work on my truck real fast as soon as I got it there it was all a lie they seem to not have any parts in stock whats so ever I had to go buy my own parts the owner was gonna charge 20$ for every 100$ that he would spend on parts I ended paying over 9000$ for a axle housing cause it broke on I-40 then the guys removed it while I brought 1 to him. I told they guy why hasnt he took the 3rd member off instead of waiting he had said they would remove it when I got them the housing to them well did that then he tells me I need a 3rd member all that time when he pulled out the axle housing he should of disassemble the housing and told me all the parts I needed instead of me running to Phoenix for parts then he wanted to charge me 24 to 30hrs of labor. This place is a joke. My truck was in the shop for 5days cause the guy would work on it when he felt like it. I Do Not Recomend It At ALL.

Steve did exactly what he said he would do after Wagner Cat specialists in Albuquerque New Mexico, failed to install a new injector cover gasket properly after installing 2 new injectors. We limped into Gallup drenching Motor home and Race trailer with 3 gallons of engine oil. 2 of which had to be added just to make it to Gallup.He let us stay the night in the yard and first thing in the morning had the new gasket installed, oil topped up and at a very reasonable price.If you need help in the area I highly recommend RG and if u like peacocks stop in and look around at what they are doing besides repairs.J. I took my GMC 1500 w a broken drive line and through the New year KC worked diligently to find a drive line that would fit, first option was to go steel but it was too heavy for the transmission so he continued to work and eventually finding one and saving me over $500. I cant say enough about the services and kindness of the staff, although a bit rough men, thats just the nature of the work. I am completely 100% satisfied w their services and especially to KC for delivering as promised and it works like a charm. Thank you gentleman. I highly recommend this place.

We replaced the radiator they charged $3000, then After 200 miles the truck got coolant leak, they didn’t connect a hose properly, lost all coolant on hwy!!!

Called at midnight. There to tow us in less than an hr. Tow driver very friendly and knew what he was doin. Shop open next morn and the shop personnel jumped on it right away. They got truck up in running faster than any shop I have been to in 20 yrs that I’ve been driving. They were both very friendly and professional. We bought a 2019 Entegra 29 S Vision. Our family drove about 6,000 miles and needed a oil change and generator oil change. We really needed it! Mr. Wade gave us a good deal and amazing services. We recommend using this place. We called around and found it was quite difficult to find services for RVs. We were very happy to find RG Truck Service .

Broke down in Gallop, NM called at 8:30 PM and talked with Steve. He said we could park our Rv on their lot overnight and would check for parts in the morning. Everything was promptly fixed and we were back on the road by 10:00 AM. Excellent all the way around!!!

Had rv leaf spring coupler break on both sides of the tandem axle. Steve got the parts and got us back on the road within 5 business hours. Nice friendly guy.

On May 24, the Thursday before Memorial Day, our travel trailer was hit by a drunk driver while parked on a side street. Fortunately no one was injured, but the impact bent the trailer axle so badly that it had to be transported by tow service to a repair shop. Based on numerous local recommendations, we chose RG Truck Services for the repair. Steve and his crew did a great job. They removed the axle quickly and were able to get an exact replacement ordered before the weekend. Due to the holiday and shipping from Texas, it didnt arrive until the following Wednesday evening, but they quickly installed it Thursday morning and we were on the road by early afternoon. The shop worked closely with our GEICO adjuster Josh (who also did a great job) for a smooth payment process. We also appreciated the secure location where the trailer was parked during this time. Thanks also to the Gallup Police Department and first responders for their professionalism.

Farm tractor hydraulic valve quit, no bucket operations. Drove to RG, live twenty-five miles away, to talk with them about repairs. Stephen(owner?) explained what it would take, said bring it in and hed have word for me in a couple days. Dropped the tractor in his yard on a Thursday, returned the following Thursday to check and it was ready to go.For hydraulics, customer care and bang for your buck RG came through big. Clean, organized shop and yard lends itself to the orderly, professional demeanor I experienced.From experience, had I taken my tractor to the local tractor retailer/shop, it would still be in either the holding yard or back of the shop. Now I can get my cold weather preps done on time.Ill be bringing more work to this shop as needed.

From my personal experience. I had a problem where my whole driveline snapped down the middle and got destroyed!. There wasnt any driveline for my truck available. No where near. Steve and his pops got me a driveline that had to be made special for my truck by hand. They got all the parts I needed and for a good price, they mentioned a price and at the end it was cheaper than what they mentioned. Humble and Genuine people work here. Steve really helped us a TON when our rental truck stopped working right. He helped a potentially miserable experience become a not-so-bad-at-all one. We are very glad we stopped in Gallup where R Gs shop is. Plus, peacocks and goats!

If youre having trouble with your vehicle near Gallup; for sure call STEVE at RG . Our motor home engine started giving problems on I-40 west of Gallup, check engine light on Duramax diesel engine de-rated. Did a web search for shops in Gallup and saw that RG Truck Service had a LOT of 5 star reviews, which they deserve. Problem started in the evening and it was well dark by the time we got to Gallup. Google maps gave us directions to the shop address. Steve told us on the phone to come to the shop and open the gate, come on into the yard and spend the night here. It was 8pm by then and he came down to the shop, opened the gate and was very helpful getting us spotted where we could set up the coach. Next morning his guys got on it first thing. Fuel filter was dirty, fuel rail pressure sensor was bad, he ordered the part the night before on a hunch what the problem would be. Its 10:30 am now and we are ready to roll. I am a 40 year trucking veteran and have interacted with dozens and dozens of mechanics. Steve is friendly, informative about the process and professional. Couldnt recommend him more strongly.

You dont even have to read the negative reviews. The couple positive ones are RV owners and the others are by a guy whos mom got free water and power hook ups.Really? That says nothing about the quality and professionalism of the shop.Another guy is simply posting a positive review that does nothing but bash the negative ones for poor Grammer and accuse them of being in conjunction with a competitor.Wait, so you post a positive review citing nothing but the suspicion of competitor collaboration? Is that not clearly what you appear to be doing?I called this shop several time while in route to Gallup. I got no answers 7 times in a span of 4 hours mid day on a Tuesday. When they answered, I thought I called someones house by accident. Then I read the reviews and just kept driving. Ill wait til I get to the ABQ to find a decent non TA or Loves shop that values customer support and communication.First impression made by phone. That has to be a flag.

October 13th 2018 @3pm our truck threw the fan through the radiator we was dead in the water. Started googling shops nearby and looking at reviews and RG was who I decided was the best choice. Called and Steve answered I told him what happened and he gave me the number of a wrecker to come get us and take us to the shop. He meet us at the shop and reassured us we was his top priority. So Monday they started searching for parts which had to be ordered out of state. They stayed in contact with us every day and worked late Tuesday night so we could get rolling. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They are fair honest people. If you ever find yourself broke down in Gallup NM do yourself and pocket book a favor and call RG. Thanks again Steve.

When Im stop TA in Gallup, NM and I feel my truck was a little noise in differencial, than i see the bearing the 2nd axle broke, Im try to call RG than they come and look and they said it will done next day, so I drove my truck to the shop, Im wait 3days they arent touched my truck, because my truck was loaded on the way to NY, day 4th Im rent Penske truck continue to NY, I toll RG check and call me for Estilmate before fix it. When Im left 1 day call them for Estilmate than they say Ill pay 13k. So I say dont touch my truck, Im com back 4 days after they bull out tire, brake hub seal, side kit, drive shaft, end rear end, so Im rent tow truck to CA, RG charge me $1800, and pay tow truck $4000. CA Merchanic charge me only $2500. This shop is ripped! How are they run business. Im sad with this shop, they are not honest, and supper charge, Im have a thousand friends trucker, they never come to RG truck service!

I have a feeling some of the bad reviews was made by the competition or people who dont understand english.I am an O/O and my truck went in to a derate mode and R G was the closest to me. I called and I spoke with Richard and he said to bring it on in and he could see what he could do.Now here is the kicker. They diagnosed my truck cleared the codes to see if I can get it to do a parked regen. Unfortunately it did not work. Richards guy said there was nothing else he could do. I liked the honesty and the timeliness my truck was looked at. I wont say how much he charged but I can tell you that it was not near as much had i gone to a boss shop, petro, etc. As long as I am going through NM and I need any services done to my truck R G will get my business

Its the worst truck shop I ever been!!! I got ripped they wanted to towed my truck I was around the block they said they could work on my DEF problem and they did not even had a computer to check the error!!! They put a guy that was watering the plants to fix my truck and broke a censor that did not had nothing to do with the problem got ripped with couple of hundred dollars and left my truck worst!!!!

Worst truck show ive ever been To, took two days To replace two thermostats, price was crazy high, they dont answer the phones . They made me miss my load and the price on the phone wasnt even close To the final one .

Rip off... charged $600 for nothing and told me that they had take apart the drive shaft and other stuff to see what the damage was. SAVE YOUR $$$$ and send your semi to another shop.
