To start off, I havent been to the dentist in roughly 7 years, after a long time coming based off of a recommendation from a friend I made an appointment here at 2pm during the week. I was inside at around 1:40pm filling some simple paperwork and was sitting in a chair less than 10 minutes later getting prepped for X-Rays. The wait was quick and every single person on the staff was knowledgeable on any questions I had and seemed extremely thorough. The young ladies at the front desk knew exactly who to reach out to to get more information on my complicated insurance situation and had answers for me before I even arrived for my appointment on my coverage as well as updating me with the costs of various things I need to get done during my first check up in years so I wasnt taken off guard when I went to pay. The Dental Assistant that helped me was very kind and she was gentle while taking X-Rays and assisting during my cleaning/ filling as well as helping to answer my many questions including a tip on where I should focus on flossing a little better to keep good care of my teeth. Dr. Hwang took into account the time it had been since my last dental check up and was extremely thorough in his cleaning and examination of the X-Rays. He noticed a small cavity once he had cleaned my teeth and I was given the option to have it filled right away, no new appointment - no wait, nothing, I was able to have it filled immediately. All in all I was out the door, by 3:30pm, First check up in a long long time, paperwork, 17 X-Rays using two different fancy machines, a thorough deep clean, polishing and a filling and I was completely done in an hour and a half, absolutely no wait time. I was kind of surprised how quick it all went. The last time I went to the dentist I sat in a room for what felt like forever but was likely closer to an hour, the process was rough the cleaning felt good but also too aggressive and my mouth was a sore bloody mess, I remember feeling extremely uncomfortable the entire time ---- Muddy Branch Dental Group was the complete opposite. The Staff was friendly and focused on my comfort and knowledge of what and why they were doing things which eased my anxieties and calmed me.All in all I would highly recommend this place for all your dentistry needs. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and they take great care of you. It was a great experience and I will be returning every six months.

Dr. Hwang is my favorite dentist Ive seen in 35+ years, and his staff are equally awesome. I was nervous going in but everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and Dr. Hwangs assistant kept checking to make sure I was okay and didnt need anything throughout my appointment. Dr. Hwangs bedside manner is amazing - hes so nice and friendly and put me at ease. Even more importantly to me, he was detail oriented and explained everything he saw, did, and recommended, so I was never just sitting there wondering what was going on like I have at some offices in the past. He listened to my concerns and addressed them thoroughly. Last, I was given a comprehensive list of recommended services, including what my insurance is expected to pay. I will be going back soon, both for the recommended services and for regular visits.

Stay away! This place will rip you off for next to nothing done.

If I can rate them lower than 1 star I would. Dr. Peter Hwang is the worst dentist I have ever met. He messed up my mouth, extracted more teeth than was told to me.. the bill was extremely high. $3k and I fought for then to lower it., the over charged me $1K what a crook, I had to go to Clear Choice to have implants, which costed me $26K my former dentist Dr. Liu was a great dentist, friend. He also robbed him at closing for the building space. I was told that I have to pay the balance in full by June 2021, well Im unemployed and have been for a bit. I had to shut the receptionist mouth, she was about to tell me I could pay with the stimulus funds. and threaten me to go to collections, well if Im paying even $10 bucks a month, I still paying what I can afford at the moment. Screw them!

This is an extremely friendly dental group. They followed the pandemic protocol to all details. They explained all of the processes they did in my visit and answered my question. They use most updated technologies to make the diagnosis and the treatment. They discuss the options I got with me and let me decide which way to go about my dental treatments. They prioritize these decisions and tackle most urgent treatment first so I can run my daily life with minimum disturbance. Highly recommend them to my relatives, friends, and the viewer to this review.

The Muddy Branch Dental Group is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. The staff is very nice and professional and promptly answer the phones every time I call. Dr. Hwang is very caring thorough and actually gets to the root of them problem to ensure the best care and health for your teeth. Highly recommend!

I was hesitant to write a review and I should have along ago. This is the best dental office I’ve been too. The staff and Dr. Hwang are the best group I’ve ever met. I’ve gone to many other dental office but have never gotten the care and professionalism they provide to each and one of their dental patients here. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Hwang with my family here for many years. I don’t understand why people can post bad reviews of this office. He has done major work and never experienced anything that other reviews on here have experience. Dr. Hwang goes out his way to make his patient happy. Stop reading the bad review and check them out your self and you will be happy to be part of their office. I highly recommend them and you won’t regret it. Keep up the good work Dr. Hwang and team. The staff are really great. It’s rare to find a medical office with such friendly, professional, and communicative front office! Booking is easy and the hours are convenient. Everyone is super friendly and they seem to enjoy working there. Glad I am being cared for by this group!

Cracked a tooth on a Monday night and called the number spoke with the doctor himself and he got me in 9am the next morning. Amazing customer service in the front office and explained everything to me. Best dentist I’ve been too!

Dr Hwang & Associates are very thorough, fairly gentle and explain things as they do them. They offer alternatives if more extensive work is needed than just cleaning. Dr Hwang did an excellent job of my recent need to have several crowns. Definitely recommended.

Ive seen many Dentists, but none so dishonest as Muddy Branch Dental. They tried to jack the bill up thousands of Dollars. The front desk ladies are the worst Ive ever seen! I had to get the Dental Board involved. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them!

I neglected seeing a dentist office for over 8 years. That changed when I cracked a molar. The care I received with the Muddy Branch Dental Group was exceptional. Ever since, I have followed through with regular visits to this day. Dr. Peter Huang has an amazing chair side manner that is both calming and reassuring. Wonderful staff, everybody is friendly and helpful especially Ebony! Also Dr Hwang definitely take time to discuss everything with me regarding treatment options and all pros/cons of each treatment and very helpful with going over payment plans, etc.. The office staff were friendly and helpful. Health precautions were taken responsibly but without causing undue stress. I was seen in a timely manner, and everything was explained to me [e.g. procedures; insurance coverage, etc]. Dr. Hwang was kind and gentle, and I did not feel rushed or stressed, or in any pain!, during the procedures.

This doctor seems nice, but truly is a money taker! I used to go to Dr. Liu for so many years, everything was great, no issues at all. After Dr. Liu retired, Dr. Huang took over the business, and they used my dental insurance payment for my families routine dental cleaning/check up, plus charging more than $150 each person for a visit which we need to pay out of our pocket. And I tried to talk to them about the bill, they just simply said that is what they charge. This is really a rip off, please be aware.

Staff is great and so patient with me. (not a fan of the dentist!!). If you need someone to understand your dental fears, Muddy Branch Dental Group is the place to come!
