Do not go here unless you like waiting, hate to be treated as a valued customer and want to pay a lot for very little.I took my pregnant daughter here for a pedicure as her due date was the next day. We made appointments but it took an hour before anyone got to us. We were put in chairs with no liners or water and no one came to check on us.We finally asked a woman walking by if we could at least get water for our feet which she did set up then. Still no one came for our pedicures. About 15 minutes later one woman came and started working on my daughters feet. There was no acknowledgment about the delay and no apology.Since we made the appointment together, I asked when someone would do mine so the my daughter wouldnt have to wait for me even longer. The woman asked the desk and got no answer. So no one came and we might as well have been separate. Also during this time a woman with an appointment 30 minutes after us was seated and finished. Her pedicurist then came to my seat 15 minutes after.This was our first time here and it was a terrible experience. The place does not offer water or beverages and there is no menu of services so there is only one pedicure from which to choose. It was $90 for 2 pedicures. No wax. No rocks. Very basic.

Tami nails doesn’t treat all of their clients with the same respect. At first I thought it was situational, but after coming consistently, I’ve noticed a pattern between the treatment of clients of color and those that aren’t. As a black woman who enjoys this location, it saddens me that I won’t be coming back after witnessing the treatment of other clients.

I went to get my nails done for my daughters wedding, with my girls. The owner did my nails but was so rude to me throughout the process. I tried to make conversation but she ignored me. I asked for round nails, she did square. I asked for them to be more round and she said, “I’m done.” I asked why she was so annoyed by me? She did not answer. She was kind to everyone else that came in. I live life in a wheelchair, that’s the only thing different from everyone else. The other staff was amazing! She would not even speak to me she tried to speak through my girls, it was like I was not there, she chose not to hear me. Despite all of that I told her work was really good, she did not respond. Well, that is the last time I support her business. She probably prefers that anyway.

I absolutely love Tami nails! I always do my nails with Tony and am always so happy with how they come out! He is the best and I have never had a better experience then with him. He loves to make conversation and it makes my time there so much more enjoyable as hes always making me laugh and just makes my day brighter! Thank you Tony and Tami nails for always being so amazing! 10/10!

I have been going to this salon for maybe 3-4 months now, and not once have I been disappointed. I get my nails done approximately every 3 weeks. Each nail technician has been kind, attentive and detailed in his/her work. They truly care about not only the appearance, but the health of your nails.I’ve never made an appointment as my work schedule is very sporadic, however I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes. The salon is very clean, quiet and relaxing. Both my mother and my boyfriend’s mother have had positive experiences here as well. I usually pay between $25- $50 each time I go depending on what I’m there for, and it is well worth it!

I go to Toni every time for acrylics or even just gel manicures. He is super friendly/funny and always makes sure you get what you ask for and the prices are always reasonable! highly recommend

I almost always leave completely happy and satisfied from Tami Nails. Nails last a very long time and staff listens to what you want done. Be prepared to wait though! They get very busy and even with an appointment you could still be waiting anywhere from 15-30 minutes to be helped. Regardless I have loved the outcome of my nails every time and will continue to come back 😊

Ive had several different nail technicians each time Ive gone and each one does a fantastic job! Ive had 2 gel manicures and a pedicure. I was highly satisfied with the basic pedicure which includes a yummy smelling salt scrub, leg massage, and hot towels. Thanks for a great experience Brian!

My friend and I booked appointments to have manicures done here. When we arrived, it was clear that appointments weren’t truly honored here as they just saw people first come first serve to pack as many people in as possible. After waiting about 15 minutes to finally be seen, we noticed that 2 customers and a child with them were not wearing masks whatsoever. As we stayed for our extremely long and drawn out visit, a total of 7 people were inside at one time either not wearing masks at all or wearing them incorrectly (I.e. not covering either their nose or mouth). They also tried to seat me right next to somebody until I stated that I would not be sitting 1 foot away from someone. The also rotate nail techs (so you’re not even seen by the same person the whole time) in order to serve as many people as possible. This place doesn’t enforce a mask policy (even though a sign stating they are required is posted outside) nor do they enforce social distancing. This establishment and the people who use their services are extremely reckless and selfish. I will never return here and I recommend you take your money and time elsewhere.

Ive been to many salons in Gainesville trying to find a good one. I generally just get a SNS dip manicure. Tami is the only place Ive found so far that has good customer service (one nail tech was offering umbrellas to people because it was raining), good prices, and keeps their tools in the sterilizer! I recommend Amy.

My first time there today and I will definetly come back. I got a gel manicure and pedicure and loved the result.

Tips and toes both and they will spoil you. Excellent quality and pro service.Edit...after many visits and spending lots of money on top of 30-40% tips today was a nightmare. Walked out after being treated like I was stupid. Rude towards my partner that had her in tears.

I have no idea why anyone would rate this salon less than 5 stars. I’ve been going here for years and they never disappoint. The salon is always clean, everyone is professional and friendly. I usually go to Kim but have had both my nails and feet done by many others. I switch it up from powder and gel, they always look amazing! If there ever is an issue which has been maybe twice ever in years, my dip polish cracked, they fixed it for free. Top notch customer service. The wait isn’t usually too bad but if it is it’s worth it. I won’t go anywhere else because I know I’ll just be disappointed.Sincere regards, Sierra

Kind of disappointed this go around. I normally have had really good experiences with Tami Nails in the past (Tony does amazing work), but I just had to wait 2 hours to get one nail fixed (which took about 5 minutes) while other walk-ins were seen before me. I left feeling very frustrated. The one nail that needed to be fixed turned out streaky and bumpy looking after they fixed it. Not a big deal to some but itll drive me crazy for the next 3 weeks and after paying for their service and having to wait 2 hours to get a nail fixed, I feel like they couldve done a little bette . Sorry Tami Nails... this time I was not very happy with my experience. Maybe next time itll go better but hopefully this review will help them improve in that area. I also saw one girl wait 45 min after her scheduled appt to be seen. :(

I had already previously written a good review but they provided such good customer service for me yesterday, I had to come back and write another one.I got a dip manicure yesterday and the guy who did them stayed an HOUR PAST CLOSING to finish my nails. I was the last customer there. I had on awful acrylic previously from another salon and they didn’t even charge me to take it off. It was a lengthy process too. The guy was so incredibly sweet and very detailed. I would also like to add that my coworker got her nails done with me back in November and she was sick. One of the staff offered her cough drops and was so caring. My coworkers and I will only come here for our nails. They’re just too nice!! I work in the same plaza so I am so grateful to have them!Thank you to the staff that stayed with me on 1/4/19!! :)

The nails ALWAYS look great and last a while, but the salon constantly overbooks. You can call days in advance and ask multiple times if it will be busy / if they can get you in and out in a certain amount of time, they will reassure you yes, you go in and end up waiting 30 minutes only to be worked on by 3 people that alternate with 20 minutes in between each person. What takes me 40-60 minutes at any other salon takes 1.5-2.5 hours here, which is quite ridiculous. This type of situation has happened to me over 5 times, even though I was a loyal customer. Taking my business elsewhere from now on :(

I recently moved to Gainesville and have been on the search for a good nail shop. As you all know, it’s not easy to find a good nail tech. The experience I had at Tami’s is nothing short of amazing. My pedicure was top notch, awesome massage. The young man took his time and did a great job! I needed a fill in as well. Tony was my nail tech. He listened to what I wanted and made recommendations. He went out of his way to make me feel welcome and provided a great service. My nails looks amazing! I now can happily say I have found my new nail shop home. I 100% recommend this place.

Impressed, the salon was nice and clean, the staff was polite and didnt rush you, took their time. I had gotten and Gel manicure and pedicure both came out great. Loved the variety of Gel colors they have. I will be making this my new nail salon. Prices are great as well.

If I could leave no stars, I would. The manager is so rude and I believe she is racist. She skipped right over me and didn’t try to apologize. When I brought it to her attention, she didn’t believe me but when a white woman told her that I was right, she believed her! Baffling! Still no apology! I would not advise anyone to patronize this nail salon. This isn’t the first time that I have been treated rudely by the manager and other nail techs.

I don’t go anywhere else for nails! I always get manicures, pedicures, and eyebrow waxing done here. They are extremely clean and professional. All of their services are performed with meticulousness and thoroughness. I honestly have never had a bad experience there.

Went in today for some quick Mani/Pedi and left with very good looking nails. So loved it!!! I was quickly seated as soon as i walked in and they treated me with great care and made me feel like home. They understood what i needed and did a really great job. The price was decent for what i got. The place was very clean and well organized with plenty of comfortable chairs. Definitely come back again!

As I was trying to find a nice nail salon online, I came across Tami Nails Salon. I decided to give them a chance because they were both rated well and conveniently located to me. I was nervous since Ive only had my nails done a couple of times (struggle with biting my nails), but Im very happy with the outcome! I went with traditional polish instead of gels this time around and theyre beautiful. Ill definitely be returning!

I was a loyal customer at Tami nails up until recently I sat and waited 50 minutes for the front manager to tell me THEY WERE NOT GOING TO DO MY NAILS AND THEN PROCEEDED TO KICK ME OUT. All of this happened for no apparent reason, I never gave them any trouble and I always paid the rightful amount for my services. These people are beyond extremely rude for no reason whatsoever. If you know any better do not spend your TIME OR MONEY.

I’ve been coming to Tami Nails for a number of years, despite the wait time. Today, I walked in and asked for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I was told 20 minutes, however, three people after me were taken back first and didn’t have appointments. When I finally got to the chair, I waited an additional 15 minutes before someone started. The nail tech could speak English, but talked to her neighbor the entire time. Mind you, I never said a thing about my time spent there today. She didn’t file or clip my nails much and she didn’t ask me what I wanted. Before she finished the clear polish, I handed her a color. I wasn’t sure if she would even ask that. At the end of my pedicure, I was asked if I need anything else. I skipped the manicure, obviously. So, so disappointed in the service today.

I came here since it was recommended by various people. I can say this place was amazing! Great job, very clean, friendly staff! I am definitely coming here to get my nails done in the future. I loved it

This salon is very clean and the staff are very friendly! It is quite busy on the weekends, I recommend making an appointment or going during the week if you dont want to wait. They have a lot of staff members that switch off on assisting guests so you may have multiple people working on your hands and feet but the finished product is lovely. I definitely recommend this salon- great size, color options and pricing!

If you are black and LOOK like you can’t afford the services, then you will be asked to pay first before your services. I sat in there waiting for 2 hours and every white girl that was serviced before me DID NOT get asked to pay first. When it was my turn, I got asked to pay first. Specifically by GINA and the lady that’s stationed by her. They do good work, but if you want to be discriminated against then be my guest.

Upon arrival, I stated I wanted a full set of gel nails and color change on my toe. I was given a male nail specialist to get started. Over the course of a few minutes, it was evident that he didn’t know what he was doing. Several of the nail specialists,’including the boss lady, was advising him on what to do, where he was going wrong and fixing my nails their self. My other two friends were out and done w/ their nails, and I hadn’t even had paint on mines. I had to go to work, so I said forget the nails. I asked for my total and was told $45 with no gel color or color at all but a fresh set. I asked how when I was told my total with gel would be $50, and she insisted that it was $45 but since he told me $50, it would only be $40. Highly disappointed with the servicing and specialists in this salon, as every other person seemed to know what they were doing but was allowing the male specialist to struggle. My nails look as if I tried acrylic at home, bulky, no stiletto shape like I had asked and utterly disappointing. I will not be returning

Hands down one of the best family nail salon. Brought my 7 month old with weWhile i got a pedi he was amazing while getting my nails done not much. The staff there played kid videos and even went and bought him puffs to eat on. Just to entertain him while mama gets pampered. Im very thankful for yall.

The WORST!!! STAY AWAY!! The owner is extremely rude... came in to get services for a little girl and myself. The owner polished her fingernails and immediately asked her to take her shoes off (WHILE HER NAILS WERE WET) so that she could polish her toes.... before even starting my services she asked me to pay for the little girls services before she would even do mine. She began to get extremely loud and obnoxious. I told her to forget about servicing me and I will just pay for the little girl. While paying I advised her how rude and embarrassing it was for her to ask me to pay upfront before even starting my services as I watched numerous customers in that facility pay after being serviced. I wish I would have read some of these other reviews before going I would have NEVER stepped foot in this place. DESERVES ZERO STARS

Worst pedicure and manicure. The water for my feet was cold and when I asked about making it warmer she says it’s too full instead of letting out some of the water and adding more warm water. Then the one assigned to do my nails was the the absolute worst as if she was in there for practice. She claims manicure doesn’t come with hand message or warm towels anymore. Then she was about to polish my nails and I told her my nails are not even at all and she says “Oh. You want them all even?” I was like WOW I’ve never had to request all my nails be even before. Last lesson learned from here. I will never come back here ever! These people do not care about providing excellent customer service or providing all customers with good customer service! all they care about is this American dollar.... And That’s IT!😯 being black also definitely lowers your chance of receiving exceptional service.😳

I love Tammy Nails, they always do a great job. Recently, they got Chrome gel, it was beautiful. The chrome started to peel three days later, I went in and had them redo my nails. The only thing the girl did was go over the part that was peeling leaving big bumps on the ends of my nails from her only applying the polish on the ends. They did give me $10 back for the extra charge for the chrome polish. Which was honestly nice, but it still didnt make up for the fact that I had jacked up gel nails that I lost $25 out on.

I go here to get my natural nails done with dip powder and I get an occasional pedicure. My last experience was very displeasing. They were extremely busy and Im not sure if this is why the quality of my dip powder manicure is how it is. Within 1 or 2 days of getting it done I have at least four or five nails with vertical cracks and lifting on the sides. I went in yesterday and had one of the more severe nails fixed but they seemed unwilling to help me match the previous color and left me to figure out which color have been previously used. Now Im running around with a slightly different colored nail and a weird yellow residue around the bed of the nail, I guess because the color is orange, but you would think a nail tech would clean that up for a person because it looks weird.. No hand massage given for a $45 nail service is pretty disappointing too. She didnt even put cuticle oil on my cuticles. I left there spending $70 (before tip!) of my hard-earned money and I am not satisfied at all with the quality or the unwillingness of assisting me match the previous dip powder color. I would honestly appreciate a refund for the dip powder service so that I can go somewhere where it doesnt feel like Im a burden to the employees. Theres ALWAYS a wait and whenever I walk in I have to get the employees attention and say hello first... Its not the biggest deal in the world but being friendly in a service industry goes a long way in making a person comfortable being there. Ive noticed that when customers walk in that appear nicely dressed and are middle-aged white women or college-aged girls pulling up in Daddys BMW they are overly friendly and seemed much more willing to help. JUST SAYING...

I had been getting my nails done at a different shop in town, and on my final visit, they completely messed up my nails, they were thick, lumpy, and just generally bad. After several recommendations from friends, I decided to try Tami Nails, they were absolutely amazing. They spent so much time filing and fixing the previous ships mistakes. My nails now look real and the staff was wonderful. Thank you so much.

Very friendly, detailed and take their time. They give the best massage even just for a pedicure which shows they care about the whole feel of service. Clean and plenty of seating. I was visiting out of town and would definitely recommend.

While visiting Gainesville, I went to Tami’s on a friend’s recommendation. The popular salon is small but reasonably priced (there are only 2 drying stations). The average wait is 20-30 mins; however, a walk-in for eyebrow waxing was told 1 hour wait time which is definitely excessive. Overall the service was very good. Best option is to schedule an appointment or be prepared to wait.

Best place in town for gel nails! Not joking in the slightest. They take their time and put on multiple coats as desired. Loved their skills and dedication to quality!

Ashley is amazing, I wish she was in Orlando! I was in town for graduation and we went on a whim, hands down the best gel manicure Ive ever had. Normally I feel rushed - she made sure each nail was perfect before finishing (bubbles are a pet peeve of mine) and took care of any blemish, without any prompting.

Took my sister there to get her eyebrows done for her b day and they completely botched our eyebrows. They were different shapes and didnt match. I would posylt a picture but she is too embarrassed to show. We had to go somewhere else for them to be fixed

Went to get a pedicure this week. While inside I saw one of the workers show deliberate discrimination against what appeared to be a young black woman and her daughter. After the lady paid and walked out the worker told the entire building she could never return again to embarrass her. The young mother did no wrong. Very unprofessional. I have been a customer for a year now and will not be returning.

Went in for a pedicure and am disappointed. Not only was the tech rough will doing my pedicure, he didnt speak to me and forcefully switched between my feet. Normally they will tap you on the leg and you will switch, nope not this time. Also, during the massage part he stayed on his phone for a while, this part is supposed to be relaxing and it was not by any means. This will be the last time I come to this nail salon.

Oh where do I start ! Ive been in Gainesville and have been to many salons here but Ive finally found the best nail place! Im in love ! My nails always come out perfect. I dont normally write reviews but they really deserve 10/5 stars. Lani did my Mani and Ashley did my pedi, but all the workers there are amazing. I wish I would have found this place sooner. They really take their time with you and dont rush at all. My legs feel like a million bucks after the massage they give you. Its an amazing experience.

Went in two different times for NexGen dip full sets. The salon was clean and the people were nice, but both sets broke off within 24 hours and were thin and flimsy. I woke up the next morning and had cracks everywhere with one nail missing a corner. They needed to be dipped another two coats but they only did two both times. I have been getting NexGen for at least ten years and have never had this problem. I wanted to love this salon since it so close To my house, but I will not be returning to spend another $50 just to have them break the next day.

Worst nail experience Ive ever had, and Ive had my nails done consistently for years and at many places and this is my first time ever writing a bad review. They look bad but what was even worse was the exprience. First of all, he didnt use any sort of cuticle eraser to help with clipping the cuticles, literally just water. Then, he was very rough with nippers and now my cuticles look worse then before he did them. He also insisted on massaging me AFTER he painted my nails, which was more like taking half a second to slap lotion on my palms. My cuticles have never been so dry, no oil no anything. Oh and also he didnt even get off the majority of the paint off of my skin. I even spoke out about each thing and he was still adamant in doing it all this way. Never going back.Also, Im pretty sure most of these positive reviews are the people who work there making fake reviews. They speak English as a second language(nothing wrong with that at all) and it seems that many of these reviews have similar grammar issues.

This is a nice place in appearance and there was no wait when I came to get a pedicure. But I do not believe I will ever return to this salon because during my pedicure the individual began to tug at my cuticles very harshly and It was very painful.When I asked individual to stop she kept on pulling in tugging at my cuticles. She even begin to dig deeply into the area around my nails to pull out the cuticles and this was very painful.When I left it was painful to walk with every step. As a result a day later I discovered that my largest toe, on each foot was infected. The Infection lasted for several weeks and I even had to receive antibiotics.This is why I will not be returning to this nail salon. I’m not sure if anyone else has had a similar experience but this is mine.

I have been coming to Tamis for 7 years and regretfully I dont think I will return.I wanted to step outside of the box and get acrylic nails. During the session I said multiple times i wanted my nails to be shorter and she explained they will be fine & ill file them, ill file. Which she never did, & I left unhappy. I felt as if she wanted to make them the way she wanted them to look.I went back three days later to get them removed and i was told since i just got them done i should just have them cut and filed. i waited to be seen for an hour and a half. my friend and i came together, she had waited for a pedicure, got the pedicure, and her eyebrows done before i was seen. i finally was seated and she said i feel like im ruining a masterpiece as she clipped my nails off in a matter of three minutes with no file no top coat for a seamless file.My final straw; i went in for just eye brow wax and waited for 30 minutes. I walked out without being seen.Considering how long ive been coming to Tamis, ive developed a relationship with many of the techs there. I felt as if I was being taken for granted as a loyal customer.

The staff was very friendly, they created a wonderful atmosphere for my friends and I. Quality service and products. Will definitely be coming back!

I was discriminated against because of how I looked. Was asked to pay for my pedicure before I received my services because people who look like me have ran out before. My pedicure was $50. Nobody else was asked to pay first. If I could give zero stars and shove this entire review up their ass I would. At this point if I am considered being out of character, I don’t care. I was judged initially just because of how I look. Why try and prove that I’m not that person?

I usually get wonderful service here, but my manicure did not last as long.

Went there today to get service because a friend referred me, when I first arrived it was one person ahead of me.. I told the lady what I wanted and took my seat in the waiting area. A few minutes later another person walked in and said she wanted a mani and a pedi and stated that she had called so at that point I figured she would be ahead of me. A few minutes later, another person came in and one of the workers came to me and asked what was it that I wanted again and I informed her, so I sat there and as I was waiting for a open chair I noticed that the same lady that had asked me what I wanted tried to secretly start on the last (white) person’s that had just walked in nails so I quietly got my things and I walked out! I was soo upset and soo tempted to go to the lady and remind her that black people have money as well! Never will I go back!
