Literally an awful experience. I asked to look at some dresses so I could figure out what fit and the style I wanted etc. The older woman looks me up as down and says “your a 10, probably a 12.” And don’t get me wrong I know I’m not a size 2 but the tone was very rude. So I sort set off on my own to look and grab 3 dresses, a 6, 8, and 10. When I go to get a fitting room the woman then grabs the dress I was holding and asked the size. I answered “a 6.” She says “well I doubt it but you’re welcome to try.” Very disrespectful to a customer. Especially when the worker is in retail and most likely works off commission. Side note the 6 fit just fine. But I most definitely did not buy anything from there.

This kind man went above and beyond to help me near the 11th hour for an important event and I will always be grateful. Fit was great as well. Thank you, Christopher!

Christoper is a dream! This was the first and only place I went to shop for my wedding dress. I had a very particular style in mind, and Christopher suggested building and designing the dress from scratch. I was hesitant, but had a sense of trust and agreed. When it came time to have the final dress fitting, Christopher hit the nail on the head 100%!!! I could not have been happier. He is honest, transparent, and knows his stuff. He made sure to give me his full and total attention with every visit. Id recommend Christophers Tuxedo and Bridal to any bride looking to be more than satisfied with their experience.

Great service and quality work for a fair price. I took an off-the-rack suit from the outlet mall to him and he gave it back looking custom-made. Im not sure what happened with other reviewers, but every time I go there I get real Southern hospitality, personal service, and decades of expertise.

My daughter ordered a dress from Christopher that she had tried on in a different size and color in the store. When it arrived she was fighting back tears because it did not fit or look as she had imagined and I was also a little unsure if it was the right dress for her. Christopher worked his magic, pinning, beading, changing straps, etc and turned the dress into one that my daughter absolutely loves! Christopher was so patient with both of us and my daughter left all smiles and very happy with her dress. Thanks Christopher!!

Christopher is so wonderful. He knows how to help you and always gets the job done, in the most perfect way. I came in distressed because I was unable to find bridesmaid dresses- showed me exactly what I wanted when I explained my vision and handled every detail.When there was a delay in UPS getting my dresses through customs, he assured me he would handle it and did- even while he was out of town. He did SO much for my wedding day.He took care of alterations for every single one of my bridesmaids dresses in 1-3 days before my wedding (because of the delays with UPS).From formals in high schools to purchasing bridesmaid dresses for weddings I have been in to my own bridesmaid dresses, I always have peace of mind that Christopher will take care of me. I will always come back because each time it just gets better!

Sadly, Christopher was not patient or understanding in any way. He very rudely told me over the phone that you are ridiculous, just come pick up your stuff, I’m not doing this!!” I was shocked. I had no idea that I had annoyed or aggravated him.. it must have been too easily done. I certainly don’t understand why he felt the need to be rude, unpredictable, and call everything off without any explanation. I was speechless at first, a little embarrassed, and super confused. Maybe I caught him on a bad day?If you have Christopher do any work for you at all: take note not to ask any questions or unintentionally aggravate him with questions about the details that he will not be sharing with you anyways- regarding the work your going to be paying for, because he doesnt work that way, sweetheart.I asked him for a quote. He promised me over the phone a different price each time.He could have easily overcharged us..Compare your options out of Gainesville, it will be worth your time and I can guarantee youll find the same work for a much better price and service.The way he handled his un-explainable frustration was unprofessional and a huge disappointment in many ways.. I was looking forward a five star review.

Showed up and there literally wasn’t a single person in there, but they wouldn’t let me look. I had not intentions on trying on any dresses today but they still said I need an appointment to look. I guess when you have no customers in there, your going to turn down money walking in.

My husband rented his tux from here and it was horrible. First of all, they didnt have anything there for him to try on, just catalogs to order from. We decided to order one anyway since we found a picture of one that we really liked. They measured him and said that they would taylor it to fit him. When we picked it up it was huge! The shirt was 2 sizes too big, the pants were wayyyy too big in the waist and crotch even though the length was correct, everything was totally off. He looked like a clown. The jacket was almost passable but was still just too big. My husband should have gotten a size small and it looked like they took an XXL suit and hemmed the length of the pants and jacket sleeves and that was it. The guy said that the waist of the pants were adjustable, pffff what a joke! They were already adjusted as small as they would go and were still huge on him. I am soo unhappy with this place. We picked it up 2 days before the wedding and didnt have time to get anything else. Luckily my husband had a nice suit that he had worn to a friends wedding, so it wasnt a complete disaster for us. I returned this after the wedding and told them how rediculous the sizing was and they said there was nothing they could do for me. The lady at the counter told me I could have brought it back in an gotten a replacement! There was no way we could have done that 2 days before the wedding and I definitely wouldnt have trusted them to get the replacement right either... This place does not deserve your business. Go somewhere else! What a waste of money!!!!

There were issues with our order from the beginning, and when it came down to the wire, we had to go and buy a tux elsewhere the DAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING because Christopher kept messing everything up. After the wedding, Christopher refused to take responsibility for his mistake that ended up costing us over $600 to fix. He flat out lied to our faces about what he had assured us he could do from the beginning, and was rude on top of everything. Too bad he has the only formal clothing store in Gainesville. He knows most people dont have time to go elsewhere and he takes advantage. Trust us, save yourself a headache and make the drive to Buford for more options!!!!

Horrible service. It felt as if I was treated like I wasn’t welcome and they acted as if they didn’t want to help me with finding the wedding dress of my dreams. So I went elsewhere.
