Called in advance to schedule a time to bring my car in for a minor rim repair... The front desk told me to just bring it down and they would fix it for me... I took 2 cars so I would have a ride back to (45 minutes) Livermore from Fremont and once I got there...I did not receive a very warm welcome because I apparently upset the dog chained in the front...Front desk walked out and asked can I help you and I pointed to my car that obviously has 22 rims... She aknowledged me and took the dog inside... I waited outside for a few moments for my ride to arrive and went inside to get set up she asked to go back outside and took one look at my rims and explained oh, no we cant repair those type of rims with our machineShe apologized... But I didnt feel it was sincere and with no concern that I had come all the way there for absolutely no reason...If the shop is open for any type of feedback I would suggest for future customers you ask for a picture be sent in advance... That could save time and energy for the shop as well as future potential customers...its a simple solution and they wouldnt waste my valuable time like they did that day..

Great service. They are very helpful and were able to perform a speedy overnight fix of my bent rear inner wheel rim. Followed up via text and stayed open until I could come and pick up my SUV. Reasonably priced.

Amazing customer service! I was able to give my car to Edgar after hours (7pm) and he fixed two of my rims and had the car ready for me at 9am! Would recommend to anyone! Ive called a few other wheel repair stores around and they cost much more than West Coast (I paid $320 for two 20 inch rims with curb damage including tire mounting). The rims look brand new now :)

My experience with Edgars customer service was awful. I needed curb rash repaired on a wheel and dropped them off with one of the employees there. When I stopped by the next day to pick them up, Edgar told me the price would be $130. He hesitated a bit and told me he thinks thats a little too low and the price would be $150 now. I reluctantly agree, considering I didnt ask for a quote and because I felt he had done a good job, warranting the tip. Its a small issue, but a business should honor the stated price even if its in error. The same night, I notice a small imperfection in the wheel. The finish had worn through in a small ~2 mm area in the wheel and the surrounding finish was dulled. I didnt examine the wheel thoroughly when I picked it up so I had no clue whether or not it came out of the shop looking like that. I was confident it wasnt me, however I gave Edgar the benefit of the doubt and chocked it up to my mistake. The only possible cause was gas spilling on the rim. Even then, it was a long guess as I didnt recall any gas dripping or spilling out. I texted Edgar and asked him if I could bring it in tomorrow. He responds and tells me no worries and that he thinks it might be a possible issue with the powder coating reacting. Moments later, he tells me he will inspect it when I bring it in. Im sure the first message was from his wife who tried to accommodate me, but Edgar quickly responded with a much different demeanor in the following message.I bring it back the following day and show the blemish to Edgar, noting that I could only attribute it to gas spilling if it wasnt caused by his shop. I was trying to be polite in not outright blaming them for the damage. Powder coating aluminum wheels is not recommended, and WILL void the warranty. Any legitimate shop would either refuse the work if they couldnt paint it or warn the customer that powder coating aluminum is against manufacturer guidelines. I knew the gas was not the cause; I called Ford earlier and they explained 1) the wheel is not supposed to be powder coated, only painted and 2) a proper powder coating job will be impervious to gasoline. In other words, the powder coating is dirt cheap and the shop had knowingly voided the wheels warranty so they could make money on the job. Edgar adamantly refuses to repair the blemish and demands $75 to repair it. He tells me hes helping me out by not charging me full price for the repair. This is a 2mm blemish in the wheel, which he says necessitates redoing the ENTIRE powder coating process. I would have been fine if he dabbed a glob of touch up paint and called it a day. I ask him how he knows it wasnt caused by him. He says he doesnt, but responds claiming he would have noticed it before he handed it to me, therefore it wasnt him. Not a strong rebuttal considering I didnt even notice it until the next day. I was completely shocked by his horrendous customer service, especially since I was a repeat customer and was even willing to pay for something I wasnt responsible for. I was fine with $25 but $75 for something smaller than the size of a drop of water was ridiculous. I came back the following day and took the wheel back, without repair.Edgar should learn how to better interact with customers. Good customer service is about making the customer feel satisfied with the transaction. That means sometimes taking the cost of the repair even if the customer was responsible and even more so if the shop is responsible. The reason why you see so many businesses succeed is because they care to make the customer whole even if it means dipping into their profit margin. Edgar refused to fix his own mistake, did a shoddy job that voided my warranty, and asked for an outrageous amount for the smallest repair. The only way this experience could have been any worse is if I paid the $75 like the fool he tried to play me. Until now, I was completely willing to recommend his shop to my friends and return to him for my future needs. That wont be the case anymore. I definitely do not recommend this shop.
