I was in the market for a Hybrid SUV. While Toyota was giving me a hard time to test drive their vehicles as they didnt want to add mileage to them; even though Hanlees only had one of the Tucson Hybrids left, they allowed me to test drive the car twice in 2 days, and play with all the features no questions asked. Moose, the General Manager and Ben, our salesperson, were helpful during the process as well. The car is extremely new, but Ben helped us get acquainted with the features better than other dealerships. He matched the price offered by another dealership for the same car that was 85 miles away, saving me a few long trips, and honored that price throughout the process. He also agreed to throw in the extras that the other dealership was offering.
Purchased a new car here today and had an amazing experience. Paul (our salesman) was extremely friendly, understanding and accommodating. His manager who helped finalize the sale was awesome as well. Will definitely be coming back here for any future car purchases!
Dishonest sales department for new cars. Avoid this dealership as best as you can. There are better Hyundai dealerships within 1hour drive, who are much more transparent with pricing/discounts and provide better service.

We came to this Hyundai to look at the family car palisade. It is a very nice car. As soon as we pulled in we already seen the sales people looking at us. As soon as I stepped out of the car and open the door there he was to greet us I don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing all I know is that there was not even a chance to look around or to breathe without a sales person right on us. I kind of like to have a little space but I understand that they have to do their work. We looked at the car got in it and literally probably were gone within 15 minutes it’s very tough choice but I’m glad I got to look at one of the vehicles.

Dont expect quality customer service from Hanlees. My experience was the opposite - horrible and very customer unfriendly. They follow the old-world approach of put the dealership first and the customer last. Be careful of quirky policies which are in their favor and against yours, and costly over-priced add-ones which are compulsory. Its places doing business like Hanlees that perpetuates the unscrupulous reputation of car dealers.

**This is just my initial review.Purchasing a car tends to be very stressful; however, my experience in this company was truly phenomenal! I was walking around the lot to see what cars they have available. I was greeted by Zahi 2 minutes after arriving in their lot an hour after they opened on a quiet Sunday morning. Zahi throughout the process were really friendly, outgoing, personal, and overall caring. I appreciate all his hard work and patients as I asked a lot of questions and listened to all my concerns. This dealership does not honor the deals that they offer on TrueCar. We even called before driving to the dealership to verify. When we arrived we were told there would be a $5k markup on the price they authorized truecar to send. Another customer was having a similar problem and advised us to just walk away. Do not believe what they tell you.

This is an absolutely worst car dealership. The manager Michael is a guy who lies in every sentence that comes out of his mouth. Few of the sales reps genuinely try to help you but the untrustworthy manager accepts a deal and then takes it away by telling a lie. Hyundai as a brand should think if this is how their dealership should be ran.Update: I got a call from General Manager Moose and he sincerely apologized for the experience I got at his dealership and guaranteed me that I will get best experience and service the next time I will be there.
I have had vehicles with this company for 6 years and they were great until the last 8 months. I have purchased and leased over 5 vehicles from the one in Fremont. I am do for another one in a few months and it just makes me not want to do business with them. I got my Venue in December of 2020 and a month after that I found out the one of my seatbelts in the backseat had no screws in it and would not lock. I have contacted this Fremont Hyundai at least 10 times in the past 6 months. No one will return my call and I call to get hung up on numerus times. It is sad how far this business has fallen.
Worst service ever. They just charged me $1151, but didn’t even check the engine oil. They are the worse. My mistake was not realizing to check everything at pickup time. My car troubles started for 1100 miles after the service and stopped all of a sudden on road. Towed my car to local mechanic and he told me all troubles.

I definitely do not recommend this dealer. The manager “Moose” is very rude and disrespectful. We were treaded as if my husband and I could not afford a Palisade for being Hispanic. He made discrimination comments toward us for not accepting his high sky and and unfair prices. Their cars are over priced. We immediately went to Central Valley Hyundai and the Personnel there was amazing and got us a fair price deal for our Palisade. Definitely never returning to this dealer.
Shadiest dealer in the Bay Area. I called to ask for a price on a Smart Fe, the sales guy tells me I need to come in person and talk to a product specialist. I ask if he can connect me on the phone with one of them, he says no - I need to come down and talk to them in person.What kind of car dealer cannot give you a price on a car?

Overall, getting my new palisade was a pain-free process once we agreed to an in-lot model. If you are negotiable on color, trim, etc., the dealership offered the online price to the physical stock they had. Other vehicles that would need to be purchased from another dealer or special ordered were so much higher we would have gone to the other dealer if their locations were disclosed.Our sales rep was easy to work with and talk to and helped point out helpful features of the car. He helped us towards the inventory quickly and we were on our test-drive shortly.
I had horrible experiences two times I visited this place, both dealership and service center. Going to be a rant but go through it fully to avoid a few tricks and baits before youve invested too much of your time and energy into this dealership.7 months ago at the dealership :I started enquiring about the availability for Hyundai Kona on phone and I was quoted a price which seemed better compared to the other dealerships, so when I visited them, they ended up quoting a higher price. I decided to go through it anyway as it still wasnt too bad. I was promised by the salesman that theres 0%apr on the vehicles but after going through a bunch of paperwork on my second visit, they mentioned that I either get a discount or 0% apr and not both. If thats the policy, Im okay with it but from the beginning salesman mentioned a lower price and 0% apr and that was one of the reasons I chose this vehicle and dealership but it was all a lie. Here comes the worst, while going through the final paper work, there was another $500 mandatory dealer installed accessory charges for door edge protectors which are basically rubber strips which costs less than $10. When they finally gave me the vehicle and I took it home, I realized they didnt even install those stupid door edge protectors and I had to make a second visit.Mind you, theyll also try to sell you additional warranty and say theyll offer better interest rate if you buy the warranty but its a bait, just say no because I got the same better interest rate even after rejecting the additional warranty. I think interest rate from Hyundai finance is independent of the additional warranty you buy from a 3rd party.I think the final price was not too bad but overall, an unpleasant experience which scarred the happiness of buying a new car.2 years ago at the service center:Went there to get a part replaced before returning the leased vehicle in a week. Odometer was at 29,000 miles and the service guy convinced me that I need to get the expensive 30,000 miles service done on the car or else they would charge me for that. I fell for the bait and spent money on it as it was my first lease and I was unsure about the process. He also highly recommended that I get the tires changed as they would charge me for that as well but I said no. Later when the Hyundai representative visited me to check the vehicle before returning it, he confirmed tires were acceptable and 30k service wasnt necessary.Im going to stay far away from this place!

Worst customer service. Went there 1st time, their sales reps are rude, least interested, wont listen to customers, their pricing is higher. I went home, searched for another car and then the general manager reached out to me. We booked an appointment, I told him about my previous experience, he said he will take care of me or one of his reps will attend me. I said ok. I went there ask for him and that req, someone said they are busy and would come in 10 mins, waited half hour, neither the manager or that rep showed up. I left. Highly unprofessional, would never go there.

I had a recall service at this dealership and was so disappointed. Manager Leiw was very rude to me and unprofessional. He proposed instead of replacement of the recalled part only check on it and let it go. The recalled part was a PCB relay kit that can cause a fire in engine. Manager Leiw also delayed the service for several months. Finally, the part was replaced.. After the service I found out the big square spot on the top front of my car, that was not there before the service. I ask, what it was and recieve was told by the manager to leave his dealership and not never come back again. I was so shocked with such attitude towards the customer. It was so rude, disgusting and very unprofessional. I will not recommend to use this dealership to anybody who need service or buy a car.
I previously purchased a Hyundai Sonata from Stockton Hyundai. Hanlees Fremont needs to learn a lot from Stockton. I am generally easy going and do not haggle with the price. I traded in my Toyota Rav4 hybrid and waited patiently. They really tested my patience tho. I almost walked out of there. 2 weeks and 3 emails later, they still havent activated my Bluelink. Very disappointing dealership. Not going back there.

These days most dealerships will let you walk in and do a test drive without much hassle. Not so with Hanlees. I came in and asked for the specific model and trim I wanted to try. The salesperson said sure, then tried to get me in the wrong model. They didnt seem to have much knowledge at all about the model and trims available, and kept going back and forth between the building and the cars trying to get various keys. Ultimately after at least 30 mins of this, it became clear that they didnt even have the car (PHEV) that I was looking for. I agreed to drive the Hybrid version of the car instead and after more key shuffling I was on my way on a very short-non-freeway drive with the salesperson in tow.After all of that, the salesperson tried to get me to sit in their lounge while he went and talked pricing with the manager. This is the oldest trick in the car sales book, and I was fool enough to hang around (though I didnt sit in the lounge). After getting some unreasonably high quotes for the car which they had printed but wouldnt allow me to take home, I left.Never ever again will I come here.
This dealership needs new leadership. Staff is walking around with no mask and also talking inappropriate things in front of my children. Not only that, but the salesman tried to lie to me about the car and the finance manager tried to lie to me about the best APR was 6% but if I got a “package” (extended warranty), that he would bring it down to 4.5%. Mind you that this was a 2020 model and my score is well over 730. Why not be honest and just offer the extended warranty without tricking people with the APRs. Please be careful when you shop at this dealership.

The Finance Department is great. Willie is extremely knowledgeable and straight forward with any and all information. He has many years experience in the business and tries to do what he thinks is best for you given your socioeconomic factors. The Sales Department could use some work. I was given incorrect quotes even though I was clear about which vehicle I was talking about multiple times over the phone. Moose cleared it all up before I went though in which was helpful. However, when I arrived the sales associate had me test drive the wrong car. I noticed immediately and asked if it was the correct year, model, color, and price since it did not match the description Moose had given me. I wanted to make sure I was test driving the car I was given prices for. I was assured it was the right one and the sales associate confirmed the payments for it that we had discussed over the phone. We took it for a spin.Waited about 45 minutes after the test drive by myself as the sales rep was putting together some paperwork. Thats when Moose came in to let me know I had test driven the wrong car. No surprises there but still a little annoyed. Took the right car around the block and came back. Waited another 30 minutes before starting to wander around the showroom looking for anyone to tell me what the next step was since the rep disappeared again. Thankfully I ran into Willie (finance) and from there I worked with him. After signing, Moose let me know the sales rep would go over the checklist for the car with me and explain some features. Waited in the car for about 20-30 mins for the rep to come back out. He never did so I went inside to see what was up and then he quickly came outside with me. Checklist was already checked off inside and we didnt go over any features but whatever. All said and done I was there 5 hours.Also there is still driver residue on my gas tank cover which isnt very cool since they were supposed to detail it but after 5 hours my day was gone and I was ready to leave. Not perfect but nothing ever is so 4 stars I think is fair. Willie pushed it from 3 to 4 stars.

Seems they’re overcharging for routine maintenance appointments. Was quoted $960 for regularly scheduled maintenance, told this was the cost with all the minimum checks to keep the car under warranty. Called another certified Hyundai service location and they quoted me $260.

This dealership harkens to the old days with bait and switch and high pressure tactics, ignoring advertised pricing and even refusing to honor prices which were posted (showing the same VIN!). Besides adding an essentially $10,000 markup, they also charged $500 for door guards which probably cost them $25, not disclosing that until the financing part of the transaction. We eventually purchased at a price $500 above the advertised price. At one point, I was going to walk out. I should have.Avoid at all costs. I will never consider this dealership again, and the dealership experience reflects on Hyundai as a whole. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
GENESIS GROWING PAINS. Visited 3/3/21 at 5pm to test drive a GV80. One sales person yelled to me from his office sitting down and asked me if I need help. Not a great start, but I let it slide. I asked a few questions about the GV80, and let him know I’m familiar with the Genesis products because I had owned a Genesis G80. I currently drive a 2020 Palisade Limited but looking for something a bit larger.I asked if I could test drive the GV80. The sales person waved over someone else to help me. This person had no manners whatsoever and didn’t even introduce himself or welcome me to the dealership. When I told him I’d like to test drive the GV80, he said that they don’t allow people to test drive them. Moments later, after I collected my thoughts, I asked him why? He said “out of respect for future owners, we try and keep the miles down to a minimum” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, so I asked “so if I’m interested in buying the vehicle, I won’t be able to test drive it before I purchase it”. He nodded his head to say yes, that’s correct. I’m 52 years old and have purchased several cars and thought I had heard it all. I looked at my wife and said that I’ve heard enough and that I’m no longer interested. We walked out feeling like we were profiled or something.My opinion is that if Hyundai wants to continue selling/servicing the new Genesis brand at their Hyundai dealerships, they need to have separate sales people who are more savvy with consumers who have a higher level of expectations on the experience of buying a luxury car. I can’t imagine what it must be like getting service from there.

Deceitful to get you to buy a new car when you have bad credit.They said we would refinance every 6 months to a lower rate. They claimed they had a program that would allow you a new lower monthly rate. I called them today and now they claim that they have no such program but that I could go online and try to look myself. I will be reporting them to better business bureau. Shame on you.
Arrived to the dealership where my wife and I were greeted. The salesman tried selling us on a new 2021 Hyundai Tucson limited. We came back later in the day to learn that the numbers quoted were completely wrong, and the real price was another 80 dollars over our monthly budget. Between Adam,Luis, and Adnan they were able to make things right. They found a 2020 Tucson limited in the color we wanted, and got it priced within our budget.The only thing we wanted to see was a cleaner more modern dealership. The dealership is a bit dated.But the deals they offer make up for the dated lobby
Called to get information on the GV80. Gentlemen said it’s easier if I come in and see the comparisons between models. During this phone conversation I also asked if I can test drive during my visit, gentlemen said I could. I didn’t really want to go in but figured if I could test drive why not, so I proceeded with scheduling an appointment. When I arrived, let them know I had an appointment, which wasn’t a warm greeting and didn’t seem as if they had an appointment system (like the gentlemen mentioned the night before on the phone). Get assigned a random sales person, this gentlemen was not engaging, didn’t converse much or consult to understand what I was looking for. Felt like I was going out of my way to explain and ask questions to a car sales person! Comical. Car I was looking at ...battery was dead, then we went outside to look at the “two other models” of the GV80, so I could compare the two versions, well.....they didn’t have both versions only had one. The salesman then proceeded to talk to me about the Palisade, I wasn’t really interested, my body language screamed it. He still proceeded to talk about how it was the hot selling car. I patiently listened although I was not interested at all. I asked to test drive, said I couldn’t because they didn’t want to add mileage to cars (although one of the models says to ask management “if you wanted to test drive”), when I asked about what the sign meant and if he could ask, he said they wouldn’t allow for it lol! I advised they should probably take off that sign. After observing this GV80 noticed it had power so I asked if he was able to turn it on, he said it needed a key and he would have to find one. No s*** Sherlock!!! Go grab it. What was even worse was the lack of urgency or care in his body language. I’m extremely patient and don’t usually got out of my way to leave reviews. It was that bad....

We went there for a specific new vehicle and trim, so there was little room for surprises. and since it was the last day of 2019, price negotiations were fine. honestly I wish we could have just skipped the whole dance because we arrived at a price I was fine with right away (quota time!) but you know, gotta do the haggle so everyone can think they walked away a winner (:anyway, the staff was friendly, and the showroom comfortable. we got what we wanted and dont feel like we were pressured too much.it was adorable to see how happy our sales guy was to close a sale on the last day of the year (:

I am sad to say that my overall experience with this dealership is sub-par. I have had my bumper fall off and my cars engine has had several issues with just $54K miles on it. My car seems to be a lemon and I have expressed this but no one seems to care except when it comes to trying to sell me something.

Yesterday I had really bad experience I was there because my car was making some noise and it had only been ten days of my servicing for my car when I took a appointment to check it again every one was Jus ignoring me the service manager was too rude and he wouldn’t even what was the problem I don’t recommend this do not buy a car from this place and now I get it why you have low reviews.

Had the pleasure of working with Vanessa Huynh. Talked to her on the phone at 2pm and the wife was driving out her in her new 2020 SUV by 7pm. Vanessa was knowledgeable on the inventory on hand and listened to what my wife was looking for. First time purchasing a vehicle here and it will not be our last.
