Everything is good except for cigarette smoke everyday. If not for the smoke, I would give 5 star. Everyday in the afternoon and at night, we can smell the strong smoke from outside. This happens even when we close our window and the door. The staffs are really helpful and friendly here. Apartments are new. They always give great maintenance service.
Alexis from Archstone is amazing. She was so helpful every time I went to the office for anything big or small. The apartments are big, the grounds are well maintained. There are surveillance cameras and gates at every entrance so you will not have just anyone who doesnt live there walking in. The pool and spa are always clean as well as the gym.Its close to Bart and you have a hospital just down the street.
I want to express my sincere disappointment in the lack of communication and clarity during the entire move-out process. When notifying of our lease termination, we requested a final walk through as legally allowed, which ultimately was not provided. Additionally, internal communication failed and resulted in us being billed for another month’s rent, causing more time and effort on our end to remove the dues from our account. The additional charges we incurred for our lease duration and pet fees were quite substantial, then being charged for painting an apartment that was lived in for five months, after being told at the start of our lease it wouldn’t be required so long as no holes or damage to the walls were present, finalized our disappointment. After disputing the charges and attempting to contact the leasing office to further discuss, we did not receive any response. Multiple email and phone call attempts were made over the duration of 7 weeks. We will refrain from referring colleagues, family and friends from utilizing any EQR properties for lease in the future.
Nice neighborhood. The maintenance crew is very efficient at resolving issues.
I lived at archstone for almost two years before being relocated down to la. I enjoyed my apartment and the grounds. It’s especially convenient to have a Starbucks in the complex. I walked my dog to the Fremont dog park in 5 minutes then took a stroll around lake Elizabeth. Great for dogs! And people who like the outdoors. I never had a security issue but I also carry a taser at night just in case lol. Only suggestion is to refresh the apartments. They need a little rejuvenation looks very 1999. Otherwise a nice place to live! Oh and when you move out - expect to lose most of your deposit. They charge you $375 for cleaning and painting for the next tenant.
Definitely NOT recommend!1. Severe ant problem, ants are literally everywhere! Bed, chair, table, carpet... Called maintenance on this and they did come, but didnt really change anything! We still encounter ants every day when were having lunch, washing face, working on a desk... Its just GROSS!2. Unfriendly and irresponsible staff!3. Very often stolen packages & broken mailbox cases. I feel unsafe living here!4. Poor maintenance!5. The stairwell has bad smell in it!
Absolutely awful to deal with. Shady business practices, poor quality of the apartment, poor value, insect issues, rude neighbors, poor sanitation during the pandemic, and RAMPANT crime. This company only wants to cash your rent check; they dont actually care that you are a human being.
Archstone maintenance staff, Rafi, did an outstanding job fixing the leak coming from the 5th floor apartment inside the wall which had been leaking into both the 4th and 3rd floor apartments below for the past week. In addition Rafi repaired this emergency leak on a Saturday. Thanks Rafi!
Michelle P. has been professional courteous and Im impressed with her ability to maintain transparency in the face of things that were out of her control. The level of honesty Michelle displayed as a representative for Archstone Fremont Center is a true example of doing things right from the start. My family and I have lived in Fremont for over 14 years and moved away a few years ago only to return this year. We have lived on the property for about 10 days and so far things have been quiet, clean, professional, friendly and most importantly we feel like home. Thank you Michelle and Archstone for creating a completely satisfied tenant!
We enjoyed staying in Archstone for more than 2 years. All services are responded within time with a smile and Hannah was good resident agent who helped us in all the ways from move-in to move-out. It is really a great neighbourhood to stay. Definitely going to miss this place.
I’ve lived here for almost 3 years! I have only positive experiences!I always feel safe when I’m on property no matter what time it is!Love how convenient it is to BART, shopping and food! The Staff is very friendly and helpful with all my needs!Just want to give them some recognition for all this place had done to make me feel like this place is home after moving across country!
We are planning on moving in to Archstone end of July. We have visited the Leasing office where we met Alex. She was very professional and thoughtful. Listen to what we are looking for and take cared. I have been in touch since Mid June and couple days ago, we re-visited and confirmed our moving date. I had little difficult getting approval that Alex and Michelle, communicated with me for every aspect and options for us. We are APPROVED and getting ready to move in. Thank you and we very excited !!!!
The apartments are very old in the interior and they have a very bad smell at the kitchen (try and open a closet and smell it, its horrible), my wife did not resist here, I was forced to looking for another project and relocate just to leave this apartment. After 3 months we paid Lease Break $4800 and the final cleaning fee was $680 (I left the apartment in an ideal state, I like say better cleaner, we spent hundreds of dollars on detergents to get rid of the smell of it)Reviews here on Google are not justified, second day after sign contract you will receive email where ask you to leave review, many people fall into this trap and leave reviews of thanks, but they are addressed more to the people who work at leesing (very nice and professional) but you will not live with them you will live in the apartment :),Again more attention, we have the good experience with rent apartments, but fall into this trap, It was a terrible experience
Weve only been here about 3 weeks now. But so far we really like it. Love the central A/C, no more troubled sleeping at night during the summer. Has elevators so an easier move than going up and down stairs. Brand new appliances! We were worried because the last day at our old place was the first day here and if there were any issues when going in for the first time we couldnt delay our move in. But we had no issues. Parking also isnt an issue. Youll never have to be more than a 3 min walk away. Leasing office was really easy to work with. Shabnam showed us around and was very helpful throughout the process. She was even the person who walked us in on our first day. We were able to do everything online and they got back to us pretty quickly on any questions we had.
Hannah and Michelle have been extremely helpful. They have gone out of their way to understand our needs and guide us along the way. Their smiling and helping nature is what makes Archstone a great place to stay. The facilities are great so as the location. You cant go wrong!Best wishes to the whole teamSandhya & Vikrant
Great place to live it so far. The community looks modern, is kept clean, and is peaceful. But what really stands out is Hannah, one of the leasing consultants. She has been one of the best leasing consultants Ive ever dealt with. She makes me feel at home.
Archstone is beautiful! I have lived here over two years and could not be happier with the office staff, management, and the maintenance team! I wake up everyday to a beautiful view of mountains and palm trees. Not to mention there is a Starbucks right down stairs. Love this place!
The staff has been super helpful with all of my move-in needs. The facilities are great. Parking is convenient. I love my patio. The only complaint I might have is that the trash disposal situation is not the greatest, but thats by no means a deal-breaker.
We have loved our stay here so far. The houses are airy and sunny and makes you feel the positive energy. The campus is well maintained. The staff is very helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mile. Kudos to the new management for raising the bar on resident servicing. Special shout out to Amanda and Maria from the management team. The apartments have great accessibility to the BART, shopping complex, schools, hospitals and parks and thats what makes living here so self-sufficient and convenient.
The management team is incredible, Alexis thank you so much for making the impossible happen, you were amazing to work with. We love our new place! The complex speaks for itself, they have everything here and it’s walking distance to everything else. 😁
Be carefully if you need to end the lease early because you need to either pay TWO MONTH RENT as penalty which is ridiculously high or pay until someone rent it which apparently will NEVER HAPPEN, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS ONE. Because they will post your apartment rent higher than the other ones so no one would be that dumb to rent yours and you will need to pay for your rent forever!!!! My apartment was applied several times after I left and yet they all got cancelled!! And I left in summer which the apartment should have a high chance to be rented. Also, no one in the leasing office will update you about if someone applied or not. If they told me someone cancelled the application I would find someone to rent it myself! Now I need to keep paying the rent for like 4 months.
Archstone Fremont is a great place to live if you really care about location. The apartment complex is right next to the Fremont BART and gets you to SF in about 45 min. Its close to tons of restaurants, grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc.), and is walking distance to 24 hour fitness ($30 bucks a month for a full gym + free classes)I would have given 5 stars, but sometimes, we would encounter issues here and there and the trash room would overflow. Wish that was cleaned a bit more. Also, our deposit was heavily charged when we left.Nevertheless, Hannah, one of the property managers, made our experience amazing. She was our go to person when we had any issues and was very helpful in solving anything.I highly recommend this community if you care about a great location in a solid community.
I have called Archstone in Fremont home for more than 10 years and it is your best choice for renting in the Fremont area (I also rented at a couple of other places in Fremont before moving to Archstone). High quality apartments with nice floorplans on a well maintained and safe property conveniently located close to BART, the beautiful Lake Elisabeth and everything you need. This professional, friendly and helpful staff is exactly what you want for a hassle-free everyday life in Fremont. Over the course of 10 years I have never – ever – had any complaints. When it was finally time for me to move out this winter, property manager, Amanda, and her staff made sure that this also was an experience handled in a convenient, friendly and efficient way with no nasty surprises.
Hanna was extremely professional, making the best of a tough situation. I was 2 hours early and yet she found a way to show me my future home. She was knowledgeable and helpful and yet maintained a personable attitutde.
I live in a former archstone community and I have always been impressed with the friendliness of the staff however today I was delivering packages to the archstone located in Fremont and had one of the worst interactions with anyone anywhere.I had 10 packages to deliver and asked the woman at the desk if I could leave them in the lobby, she informed me that they prefer I take them to each door. I then said that I had multiples that are hard to carry and was going to ask her if they had a cart when I woman stepped out of the back office and started waving her arms around and yelling at me that it was “my job” and to get out!!!! I have never had such a wierd experience in my life. I will be escalating this further but my suggestion would to be to get Hannah C. Out of the customer service business
These apartments are what they claim to be. No surprises. The staff is friendly and helpful in all situations. All you can ask for during and after a long distance move.
My husband and I have had such an amazing experience becoming apart of the archstone family! We had such a fast and smooth process...and found we were approved within a matter of days. We had the privledge of dealing with the lovely Alexis, she is just wonderful and I would definitely recommend dealing with her as she made our experience that much better for us!! Thank you for all your time and help Alexis!! We just love our new place!
Very good community to live in. Management at Archstone are extremely helpful. The apartment was well maintained and very comfortable.
Been living here about 2 years, generally because I havent looked elsewhere.Archstone has been a nice enough place to live, great access to BART and Fremont generally, but its fairly expensive.Management is pleasant, but my experience has been that they are pretty disorganized, especially since the employees from a year ago are no longer here.I am not confident that management can respond appropriately should a serious emergency occur.
Alexis is awesome! Archstone is by far the best apartment complex Ive lived at.
My move in experience was a tad stressful, given that I wasnt able to enter my home right away, when my lease was all signed and good to go from Dec 1. I chose to move in on Dec 4, Sunday. After Jessie walked me to my door that day, none of the keys that Archstone had, worked :-/ and I couldnt get in.Having said that - Jessie, Nicholas, together with Eric (who wasnt on site that day but gave instructions over the phone), helped fix the glitch. They replaced the lock, gave me the keys, and I was in!Archstone promptly patched the lock later, on Dec 7. Since there were some visible brute-force damage marks from what was done to help me get in on Dec 4.I believe in the philosophy - Alls Well That Ends Well... :-) Thanks, Archstone team!
The people in the management office were very helpful during the move in process and reacted very quickly for service requests.
Never live in this place! I have lived in many apartments and this one is the worst.Pro: 10 mins walking distance to BART station.Cons:1. Building Problemsa. The apartment has nice looking outside but the interior is actually really OLD. A lots of cracks on the wall. We have ant problem everyday.b. The trash room smells like shxx because there is no exhaust fan there.c. You can enjoy the condensate water from the AC while you are showering since the condensate drain is right above the bath tub. LMAO.2. Awful maintenancea. Day one when we moved in, we found the lamp cover in laundry room was missing. Reported to leasing office. After three days, the maintenance guy finally showed up and said He forgot.b. The restroom sink was clogged. Reported to leasing office. This time, the maintenance guy never showed up. I had to buy Clog Remover from Target and solve the problem by myself.3. Useless security systema. They claim you need to use key fob to enter the parking garage. In fact, everybody know you can enter the garage from stairwell without the key fob. LOLb. My car window got broken when I parked it in the PARKING GARAGE. After the manager reviewed the video, she told us she could not find the suspect because there was no good camera angel. (Ha, I dont even know if she really reviewed the video.)You have to pay $2,500 to $30,00 per month for a 1B/1B unit. Its totally not worth.
Archstone fremont is the best place to live .. Manager is very nice she always helps everyone and she is very friendly and all other people who works with her in the office they are also very nice and friendly I live at Archstone for 15 Years every body always been nice to me and I still want to live here for long time ..this is one of the best place to live in fremont. Archstone fremont is close to bart. Lake..police station..kaiser Hospitol also very close to 24 hours open walgreen pharmacy .you cannot get more then this so if you want to live in fremont this is the place to live..
This place has a significant issue with theft. Ive lived there for a year and had my storage unit broken into once and my car broken into twice. The complex refuses to address this with even minor changes that could be implemented, such as security cameras or better controlled garage access. On top of that, they jack up your rent ~20% if you decide to stay a 2nd year. PLEASE consider your other options in Fremont or elsewhere!***An update re: Archstone managements strategy for resolving the crime issues. After warning us all in an email that one of the buildings mailboxes had been broken into twice in one weekend, with residents mail being stolen, they went on to say:Management would like to take this opportunity to further remind you to always check your mailbox each day, removing all mail that is delivered daily. As you can appreciate, no one can ensure the safety of your belongings. However, by taking sensible precautions, you can minimize the impact of unfortunate incidents.Again, their solution to crime is not to do anything about it with better security, its just to tell you to do a better job of not having things stolen from you.
I cant wait to move out from this apartment once my lease is over. My experience has been super terrible and regrets to my heart that I have rented here.1. The first winter we were here is a disaster as mildew and mold grew on all the windows. I know 2016 winter got a lot of rain unlike previous years, but apparently the windows in this apartment are not properly sealed at all. Every time it rains outside, all window surrounding area inside is also wet. And even open the windows to let air in during the day wont help as the water seems to be trapped inside to let mildew grew. The repair guy said he cant do anything as its a structural issue with the windows that were just newly installed last year, and its common in many other units as well. The management sent some guy over later two times to check it out, HOWEVER, NO fixes whatever were done to it. If you choose to live here, pray that it wont rain.2. There is ant problem since we moved in on day 1. The ant is everywhere, even in areas that you normally wont expect to see them, like bedrooms, bathrooms and living room, let alone of kitchen and dining room. And we dont even cook at home! No, we didnt ask for pest control from the management since my wife is pregnant and we arent sure what pesticides they will apply to our apartment. We just have to be very careful with not leaving any food outside, but its not helpful at all. Even in bathroom where there is def no food, the ants are coming out from little cracks of the wall. The repair guy has tried to help seal some of these cracks but it wont help, it will eventually just find some other way out. And recently our neighbor applied pesticides (which I can smell) and all ants escape into our room. Its not just our unit, other units were infested as well, and remember we are in 4th floor.3. Safety is a concern here as we keep seeing homeless guy wanders around this area. And recently there is a home break in happened in the community.4. The management has changed this year and the new lady(I wont call out her name here) is very arrogant and to some extent, rude. She doesnt seem to care about the satisfaction of the residents but just doing her job. The repair guy didnt show up on time before and when we call her to ask why, her reply is dont ask me, ask that guy why. And when we are planning to move out, she did the pre-inspection and told us the carpet is not clean and they may need to replace it. Even after I told her I would hire some professional cleaning company to clean it, she still insisted that. I told her when I move in, the carpet is dirty and I requested to have new carpets but they wont give me a new one. Now when you are moving out, they will try to charge you new carpets for the next resident, which you NEVER got. Also, always remember to put all items down in paper when doing pre-move in inspection as I verbally told them the carpet is dirty and didnt put it in paper and now apparently they will use it against you when you move out. Also their online billing system sucks, I set up automatic billing and it worked fine for almost one year. Then it suddenly stopped working on the last month and I have to manually enter my info again on their website. Somehow they told me the info I entered is wrong(which I suspect but have no way to prove that), then they will charge you both returned item fee and late fee. Its late since they would only tell you its denied after 6 days when its one day past the payment deadline!!! What is more frustrating than making a little typo(which if their system is working property I dont have to re-type it manually) and cost you 100 bucks is the lady in the management office was acting very rude. Apparently instead of helping you in any way, she would make you feel its all your problem and they cant do anything to help you. The old office stuff were much more helpful and friendly and dont know why they were all changed.
Everything is great in and around nearby area except missing children play area in the community.
We still cant sleep. This isnt our first message. Were not mean people. We just want to be able to sleep. The first thing I have to point out is that this isnt an attack on the management staff in particular. The staff and management are friendly and professional, but someone, somewhere has really dropped the ball with Archstone Apartments in Fremont.Fire Alarms: Fire alarms go off on a regular basis at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00 in the morning, including this morning at 5. This happens regularly and it has taken up to an hour to turn the alarm off. Meanwhile your residents are outside in the cold, in their pajamas, listening to another false alarm...again.Garbage Compactors: I want to throw my computer against the wall just thinking about what were dealing with here. NON- STOP most days from 5:00 AM on. The trash compactor rarely stops because IT IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. Trash gets stuck on the side, so it keeps going and going. The sensor gets smudged, so it keeps going and going. It gets full, so it keeps going and going. Weve sent numerous emails, multiple phone calls and even after calling the police because I was harassed by the facilities manager after approaching him to fix the issue, NOTHING HAS CHANGED.Archstone sent a technician out to fix the issue and it seemed to work for about a week. We thought it was fixed but, its not.FIX IT or REPLACE IT. How many people how to move or complain before you fix a trash compactor? I have had at least 4 neighbors in the two connecting apts in 15 months and I know at least 1 of them moved for that reason alone. Here is an example of just last night (04/28/2013)Went to bed around 11:00 PM. Fire alarm went off around 4:30 AM blaring something like Please vacate the premises It stayed on for at least a half hour and again, Archstone residents were all out on the street because the fire alarm pierces your ears, so you can stay indoors even if you wanted to.Then the trash compactor started going around 5:00 AM and its still going at 9:15, when I write this. The problem with the compactor is that its EXTREMELY loud and if your apartment is within 3 doors of it, youre going to hear it continue to operate non stop and then BOOM, when it hits the bottom. Then it repeats itself. Screeching metal going up, grinding metal going down and then BOOM once it hits bottom. It happens again and again and again, nonstop all day, everyday. Try and sleep through that. After being laughed at, looked at and treated like an idiot by your facilities manager after approaching him to fix the issue, hes still here and the problem isnt resolved. I have rarely if ever felt more insulted by someone and the entire trash issue stems from him not doing his job correctly to begin with. Rewarding tenure is one thing, ignoring incompetence is another. If this isnt going to get resolved, be honest with us. If thats how the trash compactor is going to continue to operate, just tell us so we can leave.
The apartment doesnt have individual water meter and the bill is pro-rated based on number of occupant. Because of this problem, i have been charged 350% more than my previous apartment. The apartment also only allow at&t internet service, because of that i cant have comcast service which has less price and more bandwidth.Burglary and Vandalism is a common thing and almost daily activity here. Many people including myself are victim of it. Someone stole GPS and other things from my car yesterday which is parked inside gated garage. People are complaining it and asking the management for installing CCTV cameras, but management is not willing to do anything at all.
New management is not professional and rude. After moving out, all the deposit was not refunded and we were charged for additional fee, unbelievable
Everyone is friendly, good service 👍👍
Nicr place and close to everywhere
