Blue fin charters did a tremendous job taking my family and I out to the deep sea. The Captain (Josh) and his crew (Payton and Lance) knew all the good spots for us all to max out on our limits as quick as possible. They were really efficient and had our fishing rods ready for each spot. Josh was really amazing at making our filets after the trip. I’ve seen many people throw away a lot of the meat but Josh makes sure he gets every bit of meat on there! Highly recommend this charter whether it’s your first time or 100th time! Thank you Julie for keeping in contact with us to make it happen. They really know how to have fun and catch as much fish as possible. Definitely coming here when we visit again!

Very average service, no hello or welcome aboard or nothing, no goodbyes or thanks for the tip or fun day out at see? Nothing! Unorganized unfortunately, and poor service. Nice boat and that is where it stops unfortunately. They have lost repeat customers. Lots of other better charter services where i can spend my $2000 at.

Wow what an amazing trip. The Captains of the boat were amazing, they assisted us with everything to unhooking the fish to baiting the live bait. They kept us informed about everything we were catching and the agenda. Safety was priority to them and that means a lot. we caught 12 amberjack for our 2 man crew on the first drop. There were over 50 total fish that we caught. Would recommend this place to anyone that wants a professional crew to ride with. We did the 12 hour fishing trip and well worth every dime. They also had people at the dock when we got back to clean and bag all of our fish. Awesome job!

DJ was our Captain. He was excellent. We got our fill of amberjack. The biggest was 85-90 pounds! Plus 10 kingfish. We all had a blast!

My absolute favorite charter to go with! Weve been on many deep sea fishing trips and this crew by far is the best. Everytime we have caught something, and if things are slowing down they come up with new and creative ways to get things going again!! Would recommend and will be returning!!!

Yesterday I went out for a 10 hour trip on the smaller of the bluefin boats. While we enjoyed out time, and caught fish our trip was cut short due to a failed engine. The boat had to be powered down and restarted before we left the jetties because the starter was engaging on 1 motor. The captain made a comment about that not happening until that day, yet he told the owner of the company that it did not happen, and that we were being dishonest. He proceeded to continue on with the trip even though the motor was making noise frequently. Right as we reached the first rig the starter engaged and did not shut off. Motor Down. Our captain gave us no inclination that our trip would be affected by the loss of one of the three engines, so we continued on. The boat had a very hard time getting onto step even with only 3 guests on board, the captain make several comments about the boat having high end props rather than a low end prop to maximize torque. The alarm on the left engine went off several times while we were trying to get on step through the day, which the captain also told the owner that it did not happen until we were on the way back to the dock. Another false statement. We drove a short distance, and were able to snag a limit of kingfish very quickly. At this point in the trip we had no problem with the situation, as we were catching fish. After snagging the kings we were going to head to a nearby snapper spot, and not go out as far as we were planning, which was understandable. We then went to catch snapper nearby, while the boat was struggling to get up, and setting off alarms causing us to power down, restart a motor before we were able to continue on. We were able to go to this spot and started catching small snapper. We were able to snag 5 of our 6 fish, because the captain was fishing while we were fishing, and he threw one in our box. While this was going on the captain told us that we were going to finish here and then have to go back because of the boat. It was 11 am, we had fished for about two hours, and the trip was over. We were back right before 2pm. When we arrived at the dock our captain asked for payment, not mentioning anything about any sort of compensation about the trip being cut short. My friend who was with us talked to the owner of the boat, and the owner took 30% off the trip. After paying the price he wanted, I began to feel that I wasnt satisfied with the amount of money that was taken off given the fact that we were supposed to have 4-5 hours of fishing, and we received 2. I believe that 50% should be the fair number. I called the office to let them know how unhappy I was, and to give them the opportunity to make things right with me, only to have the woman in the office to lose her cool because she didnt like what I was saying to her, accusing me of yelling when I was perfectly calm. I requested that the owner call me and he did not to long after with an immediate attitude. The owner made multiple immature insulting remarks about my character, accusing me of trying to get things for free everywhere I go, and demanding free meals at restaurants. It was completely ridiculous. His captain (DJ) sat next to him and told him that what I was saying was untrue. He told me that other people catch no fish, and to be thankful for what I did catch. To me that has nothing to do with paying for a certain amount of fishing and not receiving it. What made me most upset is that after the owner hung up on me I talked to the client I took, and he told me when he arrived and first came to the boat the middle engine was off, and the other two were on and idling. This is what made me more mad that anything, that the captain was having an issue before we reached the dock!!!!!!! He lied to his boss about when the problems occurred within 5 mins of being on the boat. He continued to run the motor until it gave out However the owner believes his captain, calls me a liar. While his employee ignores the warning signs that were very apparent.
