I was so hurt and disappointed ☹️. I only went because my special tech from another shop was unavailable. A familiar face found me, so I trusted her. As she did my Pedi, she supposedly clipped a hangnail over and over. My toe had started bleeding uncontrollably. She tried everything including acetone, alcohol, and super glue. I was in pain and she appeared sorry. She even put a design on my toes saying if I dont tell she wont charge the full price because of her accident. I didnt even pay attention that she charged $50 something because I just wanted to leave. Ill NEVER return. I cant believe that happened 😔

I made an appointment for my daughter and myself and on top of waiting about an hour for service they didn’t even do a great job. My pedicure nail polish chipped after one day, not to mention we spent over 2hrs and almost $200 for 2 manicures, pedicures and one eyebrow waxing. I gave them two stars because staff was really nice but the cleanliness of the pedicure tubs was definitely not there and the quality of their polish was terrible if chipped after a day. It was our 2nd time going there and it will be last time I really thought there is no way they can mess up a manicure and pedicure but I was wrong.

I’m so disappointed to have to leave a negative review however I left this nail spa bleeding with my nails wrecked! Went in to remove my acrylics however the nail tech was a bit of a hurry and not paying close attention, slipped, and took a chunk out of my finger. Then put cotton and acetone on it. Yikes. She was still in a hurry to remove the acrylics and unnecessarily damaged my natural nails in the process. Then charged me full price for the removal. Was in tears by then and paid it so I could exit that nail purgatory as soon as possible! Learn from my mistakes ladies and take your business elsewhere.

Worst set of acrylics I’ve ever gotten. 4 days later and they look 10x worse than they already did! They’re all different lengths because she eye balled it, the paint isn’t even on any of them, they’re peeling and chipping and the edges are sharp and look like poop!Came in w w picture of what I wanted and she did something close but not what I actually asked for. Sadly I will not be returning.

I love this location. They took me in twice so far without an appointment. They are quick and very friendly. Ive been coming here for three years. Katie has always taken care of me! Will continue to come back. Only thing is you have to pay cash unless its a certain limit for credit/debit charge.

This is my go to nail salon! They never let me down and are always extremely nice and accommodating. They always greet me warmly and get my service started promptly, working hard to make sure customers get seen as quickly as possible even on busy afternoons! They are always super helpful when Im taking my time to pick out a color and always available to answer any questions I may have. I will never go anywhere else and Im so glad I found a consistent salon that always gives me top notch service in a clean, friendly environment. Best salon in Fredericksburg!

Such a great salon! They were able to fit me in for an appointment on short notice the Wednesday before a holiday weekend, which I really appreciated. I messaged an inspo nail art photo to the owner and she matched me up with a nail artist who did a wonderful job! Lots of attention to detail, but also efficient at perfecting my manicure. The end design came out great and my manicure lasted through rocky hikes and many beach days. Very reasonably priced for acrylics with gel and nail art, and a great salon atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and the owner does a great job at engaging with all customers. Cant wait to come back for a fill and more fun nails!

You can’t walk-in It’s been like that for years .... but I go there only for eye brows .. the owner is nice and has done mine’s for years.Today I went they had one customer with no one waiting. I asked for eyebrows a lady ( who wasn’t the owner I don’t think she was there) said “ we busy now come back Monday “ really .... I work Iam only off on weekends ....and really for eye brows and she had ONE Customer!They have lost my business I went to regal nails who did them for the same price and they actually came out better !!!

I got a fill with gel polish and a pedicure with gel polish. was very nice and personable . Glad I found a shop near my home and I cant wait to go back💖💖

Star Nails Spa is great. I did not have a reservation but I was seen quickly and they did a great job. Everything was extremely clean and the staff was friendly. I have not been able to find a good nail salon in Fredericksburg, so this is a great option and so easy to get to. Overall it was a very positive experience and I highly would recommend it.

The staff there are superb, along with the beautiful and modern salon. My nails turned out absolutely perfect!I have gotten so many compliments from men and women. Everyone is very nice, my nail tech did an awesome job. I drive trucks so its hard to find good places to go, if Im in town the next time when I need them done I will come back here. I brought my own design and Im very pleased.

I found this little gem completely on accident after a long work week, and boy am I glad I did, because the owner is phenomenal! Seriously the absolute nicest nail tech Ive ever met, and she does a fantastic job! Atmosphere is great, seriously, check it out. If you can, make an appt. because you never know when shes gonna be swamped, but she will always always take walk-ins.

After my first visit I am ready to make this my regular nail salon! This is a family run business and the husband and wife team that run the spa treat everyone like family. The service is great and the staff are so friendly so it was quite an enjoyable experience.I get manis or pedis only on special occasions or when I feel like being pampered, so as someone who has always experienced the same mediocre service at dozens of different nail salons/spas I can say that the service here is exceptional. They really paid attention and took their time to do a perfect job, I felt welcome and appreciated, it was so nice. At most nail spas the small talk seems awkward and forced and I hardly care for it so I came in planning to be quiet and pass the time on my phone but by the time 5 minutes passed I was like one of their regulars. It was great and I look forward to going back.

I absolutely love this place. My nail stylist at perfect ten nails was out of town so I visited this place, thinking it was going to be a one time visit... Ive been going there every since! They are awesome! They are perfectionist and want to make sure youre happy! There are two male techs, Mike and Saun, both are amazing! And there is also a female, unfortunately I dont know her name. They all have amazing personalities in addition to being talented. I was amazed to see they have negative reviews. Ive never been unhappy with them! They are all pretty awesome!

There pice and Solon specialist are the best. Ive been about 4 times, and they are my permit place now.

Just needed a few lashes added and Sophia refused to do it because I had them done elsewhere. I just didnt wanna drive an hour to have 2 lashes added in come on 2 lashes?I will never put my foot back in her door because for 1 shes always too busy for my money and 2 her work is just OK nothing spectacular about this place at all its just convenient for most.

This place was ok..got seated right away for a pedicure. The guy doing my nails had no clue on how to remove gel coat effectively and completely. After almost 2 hours in the chair. A second person came over and did the new reg. Polish color. Worst job ever..splotchy and 2 days later it is coming off. Will never go here again. Should of not even paid for this service .oh and watch out for the use of an actual metal cheese grater in your feet. Seriously. There are better options out there.0 stars if I could.

Sophia was amazing she is did my nails very pretty and she too her time on them to make sure they were perfect and it was cheap for what I got.

Went in to get a set of gel nails for the first time. The salon was clean and the staff very friendly. I showed them a very decorative picture from and they said no problem, turned out great. I will be back again💓

This place is awful. I came in for a pedicure 45 minutes before close and they had to think and discuss whether they could help me. I then went to the chair 10 minutes later and upon sitting down the nail technician began to complain about helping me and told me I needed to pick a solid color and that if I wanted a design I would have to come back. I told her I just wanted a plain white color nothing else. I was then soaked by the machine due to her not putting on the filter and it spraying me when she turned it on. She told me that it was not her fault but the chair because it was new. By then I was drenched and annoyed. She did my pedicure and it felt completely rushed and ineffective. I had to tell her to fix the polish mistakes because she tried sending me off to the dryer with messy toes. Then when I was walking to the dryer she told me I had to hurry up and pay because they were closing soon. This place is horrible. I will not be coming here again.

I loved the ambiance. Everyone is so warm and welcoming. I just got an amazing pedi with the sugar scrub massage. My feet feel soft and smooth. I will be returning.

I am an out of towner just wanting to get gel nails and pedicure. Well the guy that did my nails told me i would have to come back in order to get a design on my toe. Also non of my nails are close to being shaped even. I only wish i could give them a 0

I wish I could give zero stars. I got a gel/shellac take off and polish less than a week ago, 5 days to be exact my nails started to lift from my nail bed so bad that I couldnt run my fingers through my hair. Every time I did so, my hair became stuck in between my nail and the polish and ripped my hair out. 2 of the nails have chipped off as well.The nail tech was nice and we had a pleasant conversation, I was hoping to make this my go-to-spot but I will not be going back.

I tried this place out twice & both times I got the same lady.. first time I got gel & she did a horrible job thankfully the nice owner fixed them that time. I went back for a full set & I asked the lady for coffin nail shape & she said it would be $5 once I agreed she refused to do coffin nail & argued that my nails were too short so she did what she wanted & ended up leaving them thick at the ends which is what I didnt want. So I ended up paying for nails I didnt want even though I kept telling her to fix the shape but she wasnt trying to hear me..she was rushing me & I payed & she left before my nails were dry. Needles to say I wont be returning.

I probably will never come back to this place. My experience was horrible I came in for a full set and a pedicure, I waited almost an hour just for the owner to say she couldn’t do my full set. So I went back the next day only to wait 30 mins for my full set . However Owner started but kept stop on me to go and attend other people was very frustrating because now I’ve been here 3 hours already. About time she got ready to finish my hands she said that I had to wait for my pedicure because two other people came in with no appointment was about to get started. She suggested that she just paint my feet, shape my toe nails and push the cuticles back I should be fine and put Vaseline on my feet with a sock and my feet will feel better. They really need to get it together. Only two people in the shop does fake nails and everybody else does manicure. WTH!!!

I came best nail salon within a few miles from my location. but in all fairness it was mid-day on a Monday. I had a young girl help me decide between a fill and removing my acrylic and going al naturale and my nails were strong enough so we did a gel mani then a gel pedi. They had hundreds of color selections but I went with DND apricot and 3 weeks later I have no chips, no pealing, hands down the best quality job I can recall having. Wish I was going to be visiting again sooner but will make sure I go back every time I can.💖

Im currently sitting in their lobby after being left at the pedicure chair so the technician could go and service two other people. I waited back there for 25 minutes before I finally got up and came up front. Then another technician asked me if I still wanted to get my full set. I told her I wasnt sure I have enough time now. I got here an hour and a half ago and a full set would be at least another hour judging by how slowly they move here. Anyway, I told her I wasnt sure if I had the time and she quickly got on the phone to call another customer to tell her to come in. I spoke with her after the call (I was not paying attention to what she was saying on her call) and said I could do the full set of they could get it done in a timely manner. She tells me oh i have someone coming up now, thats why I asked you. Trying to make it seem like it was MY fault that a basic pedicure took over an hour and then I sat around for another 25 minutes being ignored. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this place. They knew I was a first timer (TWO technicians asked if it was our first time) and proceeded to treat me like crud. I will NEVER return to this sorry salon, nor will I ever recommend anyone come here. This is the worst treatment I have ever received at a facility where I am PAYING for the services. Buyer beware. Seems like unless youre a regular and look as if you have a lot of money, they dont care to give you top notch service. Theyre missing out on a loyal customer and a great tipper.Oh and to top that off, my little sister is STILL getting her acrylic full set done. She has been with that person got an hour and they havent even started polish yet. Slowest and rudest service ever.

I was in the salon on Friday June 8, 2012. It freaked me out when the employees of the salon fighting while theyre working for the customers. I witnessed that the owner of the store didnt seem to care the chaos. I didnt enjoy the moments while I was there, I felt unsafe and distressed to witness that. I wouldnt want to come back, but instead I go somewhere to feel relax and enjoyable. Hope this helps!

I love this nail salon. Fong is learning English and always does my nails to perfection even when I ask for difficult designs from Pinterest. Sophie runs it and always makes sure customers get what they pay for. They closed after the snow caved in the roof and I will be the first customer when they re-open!

My daughter and I have been going to Sophies salon for over a year. We have never been dissapointed with the service from Sophie or Fong. They eliminated some personnel last year and the environment is calmer. After the snow forced them to close, we tried several other places and no one lived up to the quality we get at Star Nails. We already went back once after their re-opening and are bringing friends with us.

Racist. If you are black and want to have them stop your service so they service two older white women while you sit there for an hour, this is your place. I walked out after 45 minutes of her not coming back to finish my pedicure over two other customers who walked in. The woman at the front desk didnt even ask for payment- she seemed to get it.

Waisted 30 mins of my time to tell me they wouldnt do my nails bc I ask if they could do design on all ten fingers a pedicure with a design which would have made them almost $100 because they didnt like what I was putting on my fingers but I am the pain customer f*** this place

I came here today and it was a wonderful place, the store was beautifully decorated, the customer service was the best. I brought my whole family in and they took care of all of us with great details, great care, their skills where fantastic and they had a fantastic atmosphere.

Ive been getting my nails done since I was 16 years old and have never once had an issue. Until now...2 weeks ago I went to Star Nails on 17 (20 Plantation Dr) Fredericksburg. Ive never had my nails done there, only a few pedis in the past. My experience was terrible and the lady took forever and didnt seem like she knew what she was doing so I wasnt happy with my nails.Fast forward 2 weeks to today when my gel acrylic thumbnail felt funny so I assumed it was lifting so I pulled it off since I planned to go at lunch to get them filled. When I took the nail off I realized something wasnt right. Then I saw the green color under my nail bed and knew I had a problem.I went to the dr on my lunch break today who confirmed it is a fungal infection most likely caused by poor cleaning of the tools that was used when doing my nails. Now I have a Rx to get filled that costs $1300 if paying by cash!! Thankfully I have insurance but Ill find out in a bit just how much my OOP cost will be!This treatment can take up to 48 weeks to complete.... 48 weeks!!! Thats almost a friggin year!! Unreal!!

Let me start by saying how BAD service has got. I had Gel Nail Polish put I was treated very poorly and overcharged $5 I thought to myself its because shes pregnant and might be having a bad day so I really thought about going back this last time which I did, wanted to give her a second chance. Last time was horrible, she was very rude and then overcharged me $10 for nail polish? 30$ I must be dumb!!! But I let it go I dont like making scenes. Within 6 days nails were chipped I called to get them fixed and was told there were 2 people ahead of me and I would have to wait I called 4 hours earlier to tell you what time I would be showing up.. like I did something wrong. Sad to say after 5+ years going to Sophia she has lost all interest in her business, she is to overwhelmed. Today was my last time going here.
