I wanted to take a moment and compliment Mike and Josh on the installation of our pool heater today (3/31/2021). All too often it is easy for people to complain or criticize and I felt their performance was exemplary. The weather was definitely not ideal (pouring rain). They had one pop up awning they brought with them, fortunately I had another one to help with keeping the electrical area dry during the install to keep them dry and safe. They had insufficient conduit for the electrical and they went straight to Home Depot to ensure they had the necessary items to complete the installation. Both were kind and courteous and didnt hesitate to answer any questions I had. Nothing was left behind and they helped retract my awning prior to leaving. Given these tumultuous times, it was a breath of fresh air to deal with two positive installers. They are a credit to your team, Job Well Done. Glad I figured out your business installed our pool. Mike, did an awesome job, he did a great job maintaining the pool and did a great job in providing information on how my wife and I can better maintain the pool.
They will have you chasing your tail to get pool working correctly all the while selling you chemicals that you don’t need. Informed us we needed new filtering system & pump installed. Then proceeded in taking out our more expensive DE filtered system and replacing it with a sand. All he cares about is how much money he can make off you this season. If there was a zero star rating we would have selected because a 1 Star is to way to high!
Update: I received a phone call from Ron today 12June. It wasnt based off of this review. He apologized for the inconvenience and informed me that the manufacturers and distributors are behind hence why it is taking my part so long to get here. He told me my final part came in today and scheduled my appointment for the repair. He did say that he told me the distributors are behind but I do not recall that conversation being the initial time someone called me it was a woman who told me Im scheduled for a repair on so and so date and I told her nobody called me about an appointment and Ron got on the phone and said that he was sorry but he looked in the box and it was missing one part still. Thats all was said from that conversation. However, I will not hold that against him. I do however hope that in the future with myself or other customers that there is better communication and respect to customers concerns. I do hope that we can still keep a professional relationship and that I can use them in the future still. I am not one to hold a grudge over something that can be fixed or remediated. Im raising my rating to 4 stars but I do feel there is room for growth.VRJillianI initially contacted the Pool Company last year through email. The communication with vanessa was great. However, now that it is the following year and I want to repair my hottub I seem to be having some issues with communication and losing my patience. I spoke with Ron at the end of Feb about my hottub and what we spoke about the previous year. He told me I would have to pay for the parts upfront, which I agreed. They decided they would need to send a tech to visual look at the hot tub and get pictures to see what all would be needed. Again I was fine with that and agreed to. They came on the 13th of March 2021. I went to the facility that following week to pay for the parts that needed ordered. Ron brought a print out of the entire repair, parts, and labor and told me I would need to pay half of the entire thing so I did, wrote a check for $700. Which actually is alittle more than what the parts cost per the invoice I received on Mar 17th 2021. A few weeks pass April 6th I receive a phone call confirming an appointment I did not make.The following day they called and said they could not come because they were missing 1 part and it had not came in yet. Fast forward to May 20th I called to check up on the parts and I was still told that the now THREE parts had not come in. Was also informed with what seemed to be an attitude that they will contact me and I dont need to contact them. Excuse me, its been months Ive been waiting on parts and waiting to get my hot tub repaired. I put $700 down I want to know where my parts are, proof of tracking of contact with parts company. Ive also been continually sent the invoice for the initial visit where they took pics of the things I need for $190. I paid $700 that might not seem like alot of money to some but it is to me. Im not paying $190 when I paid a whole $700 and still havent got anything out of that $700. Im losing my patience. It should not take this long for parts and if it was going to take this long there should of been clear communication with the customer. Everything has been documented and recorded, evidence of contact etc. I expected much better customer service than this.Jillian Hart

We were losing at least 2 of water in 8 Hours. We called The Pool Company for help. They promptly came and determined it was the return line that was replaced twice by the original pool installers. He showed me how it was installed incorrectly and what they did to prevent this from happening again.. They did a great job repairing and replacing the concrete. Very professional. I would strongly recommend The Pool Company! Great Service!
Changing my review to 4 stars from 1 star. The company called me and explained how my communication was lost in their pass down log and offered to make everything right. Im not going with a full 5 stars yet because I havent followed through with picking up the materials. Terrible customer service. I contacted them no less than 6 times, phone, email, and in person, asking for a quote to move and assemble my BGE. No call back, no email. Unreliable.

I visited The Pool Company on the referral of a neighbor, my pool was green due to the normal winter conditions when I opened it. I took a sample of the water to them and on their advice I spent $85 in chemicals to clean it up. After doing what they instructed, almost a week later there was no change in the pool. When I called and asked them if they stand behind the products and the advice they gave, I was told that they hold no responsibility and they only thing they would do is re-test the water. I find this to be very poor customer service. A good company will always stand behind their products and services, so much for them being a good company.
Horrible customer service! We contacted them because they installed the pool and had been servicing it for the previous owners. We both took the day off from work to meet them. The guy came 2 hours early, before we got there and would not wait for us to get there. Said hed be back at 2 p.m. and never came back, never called. We called the main office, and they could not tell us where he was and if he was coming back. They never called back either. We wasted the entire day waiting on them. We were going to suggest them to our son for his pool, but we certainly will never recommend them to anyone! There must be another company who wants our business..
Needed salt to deice the ground and they had it
We have lived in our home for 14 years and pretty much have only had the The Pool Company service the pool. Costumer services is hit or miss. People never call you back. They send out invoices before the work is even complete for the entire job. I have noticed a lot more Pool companies popping up. Guess it’s time look around...
The best place in the area to go to for pool and hot tub supplies. They carry the BioGuard line which is fantastic. They also have in store water testing.

The absolute worst business Ive dealt with in years. They have worked on our pool at out house for 2 years, and each time they come out is worse. We have been trying to get a quote for 3 months for a several thousand dollar job, and they are simply irresponsible. They wont return calls and give me a quote and often just show to do work without notice. Go somewhere else.

Professional honest pool company!We are @ lake anna and with large salt water pool hot tub etc... had a Richmond company then I noticed having coffee (by starbucks) how clean this company kept vans. Went in, we hired them on the spot A+. 1 year later Fully Fantastic Orrin teck is knowledgeable professional A+++ company.
Sent my daughter inlaw in to get a replmnt. Part for my pool . my daughter inlaw told her what size and part we needed she said it would take her to long to show her similar parts she was told they couldnt do anything with out a part number. Got the part number and called them back, got Rebecca who was very rude . had us explain 2 times ( just in the store 10mins ago) what was going on again just to say she would try and call me back later. No help at all even suggested we empty the pool to bring in a part. Called a competitorThey were nice enough to help find similar replmnts. Even though they did not have the exact part.Wont be using the pool company again.
