I called them yesterday to get in for an oil change by the end of the week. They were pretty booked up but were able to squeeze me in today after she found out we were leaving for vacation soon. I appreciate the ability to get me in and out today and make sure I was ready for my trip. I also liked that they didn’t try to sell me anything during my service.

They did a great job on a difficult front suspension repair on my 1 ton diesel truck. The truck rides and steers better than it ever has. I took it in on Thursday. They got the job done before they closed on Saturday but I missed their call so had to pick it up on Monday. They also aligned it after the repair. I previously had my A/C serviced on the same truck during the heat wave. It went from meh to ohhhh yah!! thats cold!!! So far nothing but good results at Doc Auto. The front desk crew was awesome and super friendly also!!

Doc Auto @ Four Mile Fork went above my expectations, from the clean, beautiful loaner car so I could still get to work and vital doctors appointment while my jeep was getting fixed. The courteous, staff, and even pricing was the best of the 3 shops I called before giving the OK to fix what my Jeep needed. It was a very quick turn around from the diagnosis to getting it back to me. I have already recommended Doc Auto to all my friends and family. I will be using Doc Auto for all my future needs.

I love Doc Auto. They are so real and honest and treat everyone fairly and equally. They do not lie and tell you that a repair needs done when it really doesnt just because you are a woman.(like a lot of auto shop employees do) They genuinely care about their clients safety and well being. All of the techs are very knowledgeable about the work they do. Car repairs are not cheap anywhere you go, however Doc Auto is the best place to go because there are willing to work with you. There are a couple of different financing offers.

Had an airbag light on (SRS Light) for a couple years now that was intermittent. Brought it to various shops that wanted to replace the entire SRS System which was ridiculously expensive.The employees here looked everything over for the day and found the exact cause to the intermittent warning light. We’ll have it all repaired by tomorrow at a great price! Can’t wait to get our car back without the worry or sight of the light coming on anymore! Very happy overall!

Brought truck in for AC. Rear break lights and indicators working. Know this for a fact as I had a friend drive behind me when I dropped vehicle off so I could have a ride back home. Received a call saying break lights and indicator bulbs out. Next thing they want to replace wiring harness. I said no. Now I have a break light out and indicators not working ........with a warning flashing on my display screen. AC is working though.

I have been coming to Doc Auto for two years now and this is the only place I take my car when it needs repairs. Everyone here is professional and treat you like family especially April. They work out prices with you and make sure you drive off with a new and improve car every time!

I’ve used Doc Auto a couple times for maintenance to my vehicles, but I no longer will and I also would not recommend their services. I dropped my vehicle off after getting my check engine light checked at Auto Zone and got the code for it misfiring. I informed the employees at Doc Auto what I wanted done and was told by the Manager April Whittman how frustrated she gets when clients get their check engine light checked at Auto Zone and not go with the recommendations of their staff. Additionally, she mentioned it wastes her time and the mechanic. I promptly informed her that my family will no longer waste her time and will be there to pick our vehicle up. Last time I checked whatever service the client pays for is the service they should receive. I certainly don’t care about her personal feelings about anything, and perhaps she should remember that when she’s at work. She lacks professionalism, the last thing you should tell a client is that they are wasting your time for a service you’re paid to provide. Unfortunately, she is the manager at both locations in Fredericksburg.

Hello Everyone,I just wanted to share a very professional and positive experience, I had at the Courthouse Road Doc Auto. I stopped in on Monday and asked a few questions. I wanted to see if they could install tires, alignment and a 2 inch front leveling kit on my gmc Sierra. Gabe Z, at the desk went a got Robert Hughes, one of the auto technicians. I explained to Robert what I needed done, he said no problem and gave me the prices. All the prices were fair. Gabe Z then made me a appointment on my next day off. I dropped my truck off and the work was completed in a timely manner, which was most appreciated. Now, here is the kicker, the bill was actually less than stated because one item was not needed! How cool? But more importantly, how about the integrity? Not many places would have done that. After scheduling an appointment online with another company & then informed within 15 mins of arrival they couldnt do the needed service for my vehicle. I called Doc Auto and they were more then willing to do the job, today at short notice!! The Service was great, and glad I ended up there. Will be returning

I called to get the price of a transmission flush, not only was Stephanie rude and unprofessional on the phone, but there price was pretty high compared. $250 for just the flush. Paid $149.99 @Valvoline, with awesome fast service! I cannot believe the reviews saying they received awesome service. That must be a lie or those “awesome “ people are clearly not answering the phone. Good thing though! I saved $100, and then didn’t have to be mistreated to my face.

I called...they dont take appointments. I walk in...only to be told they cant do my inspection. I was well within their hours of operation and there was NO ONE in the waiting room. Come on, guys. I want to give locals my business but you need show me you want it.

I can not express enough, how grateful I am for the mechanic who did a pre purchase inspection on my car today. Thank you for saving me and my husband from making a very costly mistake. I bought this car yesterday and thankfully it came with a 7 day return policy because this baby is going back. We have had the worst of luck with vehicles for a very long time and like most, financially we struggled to pay for costly repairs. This car we just bought was was proudly advertised being put through a through a 150 point inspection and given a free Carfax report, showing this 1 owner car, was accident free. Usually thats all I would have needed to hand over our hard earned money. Thankfully the mechanic at DOC Auto discovered the car had in fact been in an accident with damages to the front and rear of the car. I assume who ever owned the car previously was fortunate enough to pay out of pocket and have the repairs done without having them reported. Ill take a mechanic over a free Carfax any day.I would also like to acknowledge April, who answered my call, scheduled the appointment and went over everything that the mechanic found. She was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I think I may be a DOC Auto Lifer.

WARNING: DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU WANT DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR VEHICLE!I use to use this shop for years until I took my new SUV in there for a tire rotation. When I picked it up, there was a 4in scratch on the steering wheel!!! I called them and went in ASAP as it happened. They (including the owner) denied all responsibility stating There is no way one of our technicians could have done that. (Meanwhile, a technican walking out of the garage had a ring on and the women at the front desk who moves the vehicles had a couple rings on each hand and 2in long nails.)When you drop off your $45K+ vehicle or ANY vehicle for that matter, you should get it back the exact way they you left it. Not to incur damage!!!

They were wonderful . We were from out of state and they came to where we were broke down and gave 4 of us a ride to their garage. Then stayed open extra to get our car done so we could get back on the road . Next day they called to make sure we got home alright . Excellent customer service!!!!

I walked out knowing there are really dishonest people living in this world who “run” a business. Overcharged for an oil change ($100) felt like I got cheated took it to get checked somewhere else and oil still empty - smh. Husband came to talk about it and they walked right passed him twice and then told him they had other priorities. Everyone is rude and will smile until they rob you.

I am very impressed by their service. I did not know what was wrong with my car and instead of giving me a load of stuff not related. They accurately and efficiently found the cause and repaired and solved it. The quality is also really great and the problem has not came back. Very nice customer service. 100% would recommend.

Awful and dishonest. Took my car in because of a rumble while driving. They said I needed a new transmission on a 5 year old car and it was going to be 7k. Looking for a 2nd opinion I took it to a recommended transmission guy. He laughed and changed some fluids. Didn’t even charge me after he heard our story. Also told me that even if I needed a new transmission it should only have cost 4k including labor.

I was scared to come in because I don’t know much about cars and didn’t know how to explain my problem. They understood what I was trying to say and got the job done fast! They were super nice and caring and the fortune cookies were a nice suprise, too!

I had a lot of work done on my 2006 Tacoma. I had limited funds available and they worked with me on getting the work done. The staff was incredible and super friendly. The mechanic worked hard to keep the price down. I HEARTILY suggest the shop I went to on Courthouse Road as an excellent and trustworthy place to get vehicle work done.

This place is a scam! Took my daughters car in for an inspection - they gave me a list of things wrong and a quote for $2800! Came home ordered parts - $121 and two hours of work. Took the car back two weeks later and she said it needed more work that wasn’t included in the original quote! I complained and told her I would NEVER be back. Guess what?! Took the car to a reputable shop and they passed the car after verifying that this woman doesn’t know what she’s talking about! Beware of this place! They just want your money. In addition if you read through the negative comments it seems that they find bad motor mounts often which to me if suspicious especially since the second shop said the motor mount is fine

Excellent! I have been going to Doc Auto for a little over two years now. Very pleased to see another location open for convenience, aside from their Stafford location. The crew provides great service, I have never had any hold ups with them, and my cars are always done on time as quoted. For a full service of auto repair needs, they are my go to above anyone else. I also like that the girls up front communicate through text messaging at times. I dont have to worry about missing a call or waiting for one to come in, its quite convenient. A+ yall!

I took my car to DOC Auto because the Maintenance Required light on my dash came on. My car was assessed and repaired in a reasonable amount of time and the cost of services were very fair in my opinion. They even cleaned my windshield and vacuumed my car, which was impressive in itself, but I also found that the staff left a gift in my car when I got in it to leave. A very nice touch! Its apparent that customer service means something to these folks, it was a nice experience. This location is convenient, clean and spacious. The staff members were pleasant, polite, and knowledgeable. Amazing service, their people definitely make the difference. Ive gotten a tire rotation, state inspection, and post-purchase inspection from them and Ill be buying tires from them in the next week or so. Everyone Ive interacted with has been super friendly and accommodating, even when Ive had to reschedule. They truly make me feel like theyre interested in helping me and my vehicle rather than only seeing ways to get more money out of me.One example of this would be the post-purchase inspection I recently had them do for me. They recommended replacing the tires on the vehicle, but they actually brought me into the garage and showed me that the tires were worn rather than just tell me they needed to be replaced. Theyve also cleaned the windshield and vacuumed the interior every time Ive had a car serviced with them. Doc Auto is definitely my go-to mechanic from now on and Ive actually already recommended them to multiple friends and family members.

This place is the best place to bring your car to be serviced bar none! Amy at the front counter is extremely friendly and helpful. The service they give the customers is the way it should be where they know you when you walk in the door and they tell you the HONEST truth about your vehicle and not try to sell you service that you dont need. They also put in that little extra that tells me that they care. I have been to many service shops in the Fredericksburg area and most treat their customers as a number and and only care about what extra service jobs they can get out of the customer.

Took two of our vehicles there. Both vehicles got an oil change at a very awesome price which included a free 27 point inspection, chemically treated windows, vacuuming and they even gave us a gift (and who doesnt love gifts). One of the vehicles went in for diagnostic and needs other work which was printed out for us to view and we were given an estimate for the work it needs as well and we will return later for that 😉. Fully pleased with the services received and the team they have working there.

I pulled the driveshaft from my truck and one of the universal joints was giving me trouble’s. So I called these guys and gal and they said bring it in and they will use their bigger press to finish the universal joints. So I dropped it off and when they were done they called and said they could bring it to me since I was right around the corner. Great service good people. Very reasonably priced.

I wouldn’t take my kids’ bikes there. I don’t know what the rest of you people are talking about but it sure can’t be this place. I took my Mercedes in for an inspection because MB of Fxbg was busy that day and their “mechanic” failed it so they could write themselves $1200 worth of business. The car is maintained by Mercedes. Didn’t have a problem at all with it before it went in. Their “mechanic” doesn’t know what the hell they’re talkin’ about. Took the car back to Mercedes and it passed inspection no problem. Steer clear!

Excellent service. I have a 1998 VW Cabrio that always needs TLC. I had absolutely no time to figure out why my car just decided to stop working. So I had it towed to DocAuto. I knew it would take a little while to track down my problem and fix it but they did it! 5 days later I picked up my car and was back on the road. Honestly I only put one star because I had to. The women who works the phones as well as a mechanic never call you back (when they tell you they will call you back). This has happened on three occasions. The women also told me she would email me ... which never happend. Had an appt 0800 one day... didn’t get information about my vehicle until close to 6pm(closing) that night after multiple calls by myself asking about the status of said vehicle. Dropped my vehicle off two days ago still havent gotten a call that its done when I had an Staff refuses to call back and keep updated when I am spending a pretty penny at the facility. Will never be using them again.

Update Apr 2021: In one year they lost their best mechanic and got new management. Dont bring your car here now! I went in with five tasks: 1. oil change 2. new windshield wipers 3. new headlight 4. top off fluids 5. check tire pressure.THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS later and the headlight was installed incorrectly and illuminates ten feet to the right of the road. NO FLUIDS TOP OFF and the cherry is being told I need a new tire sensor for $400 on the previous trip only to find out the tires just needed air!!This place went from reliable to actively ripping off its customers. My services shouldnt have broken $120 and they couldnt even do it correctly. Who cant install a LIGHTBULB correctly?? Time for a new shop. Too bad, these guys used to be really great.Great experience here. The service is unparalleled, the staff excellent, theres no reason to go elsewhere.Update Apr2020: They continue to be the absolute best Fredericksburg has to offer. If you are outside of Fredericksburg this place IS WORTH THE DRIVE.

My car desperately needed an oil change and I happened to receive a couple coupons in the mail for Doc Auto. I went over there one afternoon and they happily took in my car. The staff was super friendly and they had a nice little waiting area with Netflix and snacks. They did a pretty thorough check of my car and let me know what needed to be fixed without th pressure of typical auto shops. I spent about $45 for a conventional oil change and tire rotation, which I didn’t think was bad for the service I recieved. A couple days later I received a thank you letter with some goodies in the mail. Doc Auto is definitely my new go to for car maintenance!!

I received their advertisement in the mail and decided to try out their services. The staff was very friendly.

Went there for inspection was there 1hour and 43 mins to find two things on the fail sheet ! One being the light didnt come on when emergency brake was pulled and the other brakes and rotor that are under review . I was handed a an hefty estimate of what they would fix it for . The Emergency brake sensor was stuck I fixed in two seconds with a tap in . When I was upset I was there two hours for a safety inspection to find two things one being ridiculous they acted way less than professional .

My wife took her car there for state inspection, hour later it failed because of cracked Motor mounts, dont you know they wanted almost 900.00 dollars for 2 Motor mounts, I got parts and paid my mechanic and it was under 250.00 dollars, dont go there ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
