I was out in my backyard shed yesterday when I was bitten by what I thought was a wasp or hornet. After looking around the shed, I was horrified by what I saw - a nest that was approximately 12 high by 9 wide and quite thick. I called Key Pest Control and spoke with Eric who said he would be out today at 4:00. I was pleased that he called me earlier today and said that he would be able to come over a bit sooner, and I was pleasently surprised by that. I found Eric to be an extremely knowledgeable expert in the field of pest control. He was professional and outgoing, answering any and all of my questions. Hes a great communicator and I enjoyed finding out more about this infestation. I had totally emptied my shed 2 months ago and no nest existed, so these critters must have worked 24/7 building this nest. Eric put on his suit and removed what he said was the biggest hornet nest that he had ever seen. Throughout the process he was keeping me informed as to what he was doing. He taught me that what I had was the nest of European hornets. Eric is an amazing teacher and communicator and great representative of Key Pest Control. I will recommend Eric and this company to my family and friends as they no doubt will encounter issues similar to mine somewhere in the future. I can’t recommend Key Pest Control enough! Last month we discovered that there were ants (my worst nightmare) in our hot water heater room when we spotted them making their way into the connected bathroom. We called Key Pest Control and they were able to come out the next day and treat the inside of our home as well as the outside perimeter. They were courteous, professional, and didn’t try to oversell us on anything we didn’t need. We also found their prices to be very reasonable. We haven’t seen an ant since and we’re so grateful to Key Pest Control for giving us peace of mind!

I am so glad I found Key Pest Control! I almost never write reviews, but Shawn is so good at his job and so conscientious, that I had to. We have used Key at our office and our home in the country. In both places he was able to find solutions that were affordable and preventive.He found the areas where mice might be getting in and made that impossible and then explained the pros and cons of traps vs poison. Problem solved.He is extremely aware of environmental/pet/child concerns as well. When we were battling ants he helped find a solution that wouldnt endanger our fish pond or any other wild critters.I have rarely found someone so careful with spending the customers money. He has even come by and made recommendations without charges us a cent. I havent ever had that happen!He also worked out a plan for termites and again told us the pros and cons of different approaches so you can make a well informed decision.Clearly, I highly recommend them.

I was concerned we had mice issues and contacted Key Pest Control. They came out right away. The technician explained how they can easily get in the house if the outside isn’t sealed correctly. He showed me all the areas that they can potentially access and had them sealed. Placed 2 large traps outside my home as well as traps in my storage area. On the very first day the traps were stationed inside my house, one was caught. That was a month ago and haven’t seen anymore. Thank goodness because I don’t handle those little creatures very well.I’m very happy with the service Key Pest control has provided thus far. I also signed up for their preventative maintenance.I haven’t had to contact them much but when I do they are very responsive. Great service all around from their call center to the service technician.

They were very quick and thorough. They came out the very next day to give us a quote for free which was nice. After looking around, he actually said he thought we were fine and to call if anything changes. I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate the fact that he didnt try to sell us on a plan (Terminix tried and failed) and didnt use fear mongering to get a sale. Well definitely be keeping their information in our back pocket if/when we ever need them.

Shawn over at Key pest control is great, its a local business that really cares about getting your issue resolved. You could honestly just talk to the guy on the phone for an hour, thats how pleasant they are. His employees do a great job, professional, courteous, quick, clean, easy, and so on. The pricing is competitive, if not better, with other more national chains (The quote I received for quarterly pest control was way cheaper than Moxie for example). Overall it was very affordable, and they worked with you on a solution (things I could do DIY vs things I had them do). They came out the next day after calling them, and theyve come out same day before to clear out a trap.What I also like about these guys is that they make you aware of whatever problem there is, in detail. There was no upcharge or upselling on anything. I wrap up my rodent service with them here soon, and was asking about pest control, they arent going to lie to you and say they can do what DIY or other companies cant, and I find that to be the mark of a company with great integrity.I spoke at length with our tech, Nick, and its clear this is a business that not only wants to treat its customers well, but its obvious they care about their employees wellbeing too.My one suggestion for them however is to get quote/estimate forms, idk if they were out of them, but mine came on a piece of ripped up paper lol -- but thats just some small business charm to me.

Genuinely good company with knowledgeable people. They did our termite treatments for a new construction and after building we discovered a very large family of mice had taken up residence in our basement and a team came right out to help identify entry points we missed. Shawn (I believe the owner) came to my house today to help resolve the ant problem we have. He had given me a good bit of info on the phone and I figured we would have a short talk and he would spray. First he made sure he worked through my wifes concerns and the safety of the chemicals and kids. He told us alternative approaches and ultimately thought due to our drinking well being so close to our problem area (kitchen) that it was not worth the risk for us. I really appreciated the time he spent and the information he gave us. 10/10 would call again and recommend.

Shawn is the best. He came out super last minute on Christmas Eve, spent hours with us, gave advice, spoke with our landlord, and even swung by later in the week to check on the progress. Great experience with these guys. I called them because I thought I had a rat or two running around in my ceiling. Ive dealt with regular mice plenty of times, but I was sure I had a big rat this time from the sound of it running around and chewing on wood. Shawn came out and inspected the house inside and out. He pointed out a few spots where rodents could get in and explained that I could patch them up myself. He said I probably only had mice and not rats, so it wasnt something that required specialized traps. He said even little mice can sound pretty big when they start running around. It turns out he was right! A few days later I caught a mouse in a regular 50 cent mouse trap that I set out myself. I was all set to pay him to set up some rat traps, but he was genuinely interested in helping me save money. Would definitely call again. Thanks Shawn!

I recently moved to this area from the Eastern Shore. I noticed a problem right away with spiders and googled pest control companies as I wanted a company that would continue to treat my home year-round. I found Key Pest Control and called them as I was looking for a hometown company and not a large national chain. I spoke with Shawn who was very nice and understanding to my concerns. He set up an appointment for the next few days. Derek came to my home and did a thorough inspection. He told me I had a mice infestation problem as well which I was not aware of. He explained to me the plan on how he would treat and eradicate both the mice and spider problems. Derek told me he was the best and he has proven that to be true. Derek is truly an expert in his craft. He has visited my home a few times now to ensure the plan he put in place is working. It is reassuring to know that he is there whenever I have a problem with any type of unwanted creature! Derick was determined to find the source of my mice problem. It was a mystery on how they got in under my kitchen sink (where I caught 3 mice). He pulled out my refrigerator - nothing. He pulled out he drawer of pan below my stove and low and behold he is sure that was the problem. He saw mouse droppings. He sealed a small hole and we hope that we solve the problem. Had an issue with mice in our basement that lead to some juvenile snakes following them in, Shawn stopped by quickly to help troubleshoot the access issues and also assisted in setting the appropriate traps. Was insightful and very patient in answering all questions and did it as a consult visit. Will absolutely use him for any issues in the future. Would give more than 5 stars if possible.

I live in a historic home and had Key Pest Control handle my annual maintenance spray for the first time this year. Not only was the service technician polite and professional, but he actually took the time to educate me on prevention tips that I ACTUALLY ended up doing. No other company in all these years has done that. He even suggested I hang a bat box to encourage low mosquito population control.
