This is the best nail place! I am always impressed with my service. My nails always look great. We used their private space for my daughters wedding party it was so great. 9 people got pedicures and manicures, fill-ins. Service was terrific and flowed quickly. Everyone was satisfied and it was great to have the salon basically to ourselves.

I gave it a two out of 5. Because to be honest I’ve seen better work from nail techs and their quality of nails is somewhat outdated. I feel as though if they get better at knowing how to do modern day Instagram nails that they will have way more better ratings and nails for me wasn’t a wow factor which was very disappointing 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also it was too expensive for mediocre quality, I probably will not be coming back! Also the lady gets very distracted, like girl focus on me your client not other things.

They fit me in as a walk in after i called ahead 20 min before. they were super detailed with not leaving my acrylics too bulky and the lady was very gentle and friendly when doing my nails:) the salon was very cute and bright inside. i will definitely be going back!

I was expecting something a little higher and considering the area and the prices. I paid $35 for a gel manicure that is still pretty sheer. A 3rd coat should have been applied since it was a dark color. She didnt polish the tips either.To top it off, she cut my skin pretty deep, & its pretty painful.Im not very happy with the service and lack of friendliness.

Being there before and service was much better. Now, all technicians are sitting with long faces, look like they doing you a great favor. Place used to be so clean, can’t say the same now. My manicure was done really poorly. My last 2 visits were as bad as today. I guess this is the end of my story with Modern Nails.

Pedicure has lasted for weeks!

I went here with 3 of my friends. Got a gel manicure. Chipped one day after, my other friend got a regular manicure and they said “oh you got an organic manicure so it’s $5 more, she didn’t ask for that. 2 girls got spa pedicures we all have chipped nails within ONE WEEK. 4.6 stars?! DO NOT RECOMMEND! The only good thing about this place is that they had free cookies.

I needed a new salon after moving and I love coming here! I get mani/pedis once every three to four weeks, I have a working dog and bar tend so I’m super hard on my nails and my nails have stayed ON every time! One might breakaway the tip or come off toward the very end, but that’s expected. The prices here are very affordable for the high quality of work and I’ve always come out of here feeling refreshed, relaxed and very happy with my nails. I’m always picky and specific about what I want and have always gotten exactly what I imagined. Thank you Lynn and her amazing team for keeping me looking good 🖤

Love this place! Just moved to the area and have tried other nail salons but this one is by far the best. Ive been here several times and they never disappoint. The nail salon is very clean, they are all courteous, friendly and they do an awesome job. Very detail oriented. Highly recommend!

Great customer service!I live out of state and I recently called the salon to request a gift certificate for my sister-in-law, who lives in Urbana. The woman I spoke to agreed to take my information over the phone, texted me a receipt and a photo of the envelope with my correct address, and I received the card in the mail a few days later. I was so pleased by the experience and my sister-in-law was very happy with her Christmas present. Thank you!

This is my NEW GO TO NAIL SALON. After years of being a loyal customer to a Local Urbana salon I was fed up with the downward spiral of customer service.I took a leap and made an appointment at Modern Nails and it was fabulous. I loved the warm, welcoming salon with the most beautiful lilac colored walls and it smelled just so lovely. It was an absolute delight to spend an hour getting my nails done. Overall, Modern Nails sets the bar so high, its great!!

The owner Linh is amazing. She has been my go to nail lady for over ten years now. I swear, there isn’t anything that this lady can’t do when it comes to nails. When I found out that she was no longer at Classy Nails, I thought I was going to have to find a new nail tech, but I found out that she is now with Modern Nails. I highly recommend this shop. Very professional and clean, as well as up to date!! The shop has a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere to it as well.

All nail salons are not equal. This salon rises above the rest. The staff is wonderful, kind and very friendly. The manicures are stellar. And the art work I have seen done on nails here is amazing. I highly recommend Modern Nail.

Been going here for a while now and is the only place I will go. The staff there are really nice and welcoming. There always up for new designs and do different shaped nails. For the young girls who like the coffin shaped nails this is the place for you. Highly recommend them!

Went here on a whim today since the nail salon closest to me was too busy. I’m glad it was, because this place was so pretty with the lavender walls, and I was greeted with genuine smiles. They did a great job and I will definitely go back.

The atmosphere is very calm and soothing, the technicians are very professional, polite and very delicate with your hands. They also take their time with your nails to make sure everything is perfect and just the way you want it. I definitely will be returning.

Love the wide variety of polishes they offer! The salon is clean and cute. I gave a 3 stars because the technician seemed to be bothered when I asked if she would not cut the sides of my nail as I tend to get ingrowns. Not sure if she didnt understand, but she still cut the side of my nails. The technicians are not very friendly I felt very awkward in there.

Bridal parties beware! My bride came here with her bridal party to get their nails done as a group. There were 4 in the first group and 3 in the next. When the owner thought they did not have enough people she began calling other customers to come in WHILE doing the bride to be’s nails and in front of all the bridal party. Completely unacceptable and rude. One of the girls toenails even became infected after the pedicure. Shame.

The staff are so nice and welcoming, Solon itself it clean and very modern. They have a good selection of colors from gel to powder dipped.

Came here for the first time today, and WOW. I am a nail tech in training and I have been self taught for over 5 years prior to that.... The owner met my expectations and some. I got the SNS Ombre Dip, and WOW!!!!Excellent service, professional environment, clean work areas, and the skill set here is FAR superior to ANYTHING else in Fredrick County!

This is my 4th dip set in a row, which is saying a lot. I keep coming back because the shop owner is very genuine and likes to talk with her customers. The nail techs also listen to what I want and do not try to rush thru the job. I don’t mind waiting sometimes because the results are always worth it & I know they’re taking their time for the person in front of me & they do the same for me.

My dip always lasts when I get it done at Modern Nails. Staff very nice.
