Family owned hardware business. Staff are super helpful and will take the time to listen and answer your questions on whatever widget youre looking for. Its my go to place for anything from screwdrivers, ladders, or lawn mowers!
Was supposed to rent a trailer for a trip down to Florida. Reserved the trailer on Monday to pick it up on Saturday. Requested that an inspection be done and all maintenance and upkeep be done on the trailer as well. I was GUARANTEED that the trailer would be in good condition to avoid any problems. On Saturday we arrive, We paid our insurance on the trailer, and before we left we did our own inspection of the trailer to insure we would not be found at fault for any damages or marks left previous to our departure. (Videos and pictures were taken of the condition it was in) We also asked if the inside of the trailer be cleaned out and prepared as we were going to be hauling two expensive Harley Davidson’s down to Florida, and after looking inside we saw piles of leaves, grass clipping, grease, nails, and debris covering the floor of the trailer. we found that the right tire was completely bald on the inside. We noticed that along with this the axel was bent causing the rubbing on the tire, and in turn scraping the frame of the trailer (looked fresh. Damage had to have been recent and just occurred). After realizing that the trailer was unsafe they gave us the option to cancel the trailer or “risk it” and that they would make a note about the damage on the right tire and that it was bent. They then asked us if we wanted to rent the other trailer on the same paid rental agreement for another trailer they had from the Hudson location which was newer and in better condition if I was willing to go there. It Was a 30 minute ride in the opposite direction of where we were going. We cancelled the rental for the first trailer and was assured that the other trailer was in much better condition than the first one (Why not have just given us the better trailer in the first place). I told the employee we would arrive at the Hudson location for the other trailer in about 30 minutes and to reserve it. We did not transfer the rental agreement over because of the condition of the first trailer and I did not want to lose a deposit for a trailer trailer from them sight unseen. The employee told us he would call to reserve it, and we left the Framingham store at 9:20am and as we arrived to the Hudson location at approx. 9:45 I was told I could rent the trailer… however, it would be about an hour because they allowed an employee to use it to make deliveries. Now I was upset. Why would you let an employee take a trailer for deliveries after just being told to hold It? And the explanation I got was because we cancelled the first reservation, and they assumed I was not going to rent a trailer and then when I asked if the employee from the Framingham store called him he told me Yes. We were supposed to originally leave the Framingham location to start the trip down to FL but now we’re additional 30 minutes in the opposite direction to go and rent this second trailer, and they asked us to wait another additional hour for the trailer to be returned. It was at this point I got upset and I explained that the trip already cost a lot of money and to avoid running into more issues we were ASSURED ON MONDAY that the trailer would be all set and that we would not run into any problems picking up the trailer. This whole trip was focused on taking the motorcycles down and as a result was cancelled, and after explaining that the trip was now ruined the employees at the Hudson store found that funny. At 10:22, while driving south about 30 minutes after we left they call to inform us the trailer is back and we could rent it.Thinking of renting from here? Good luck.I am ADAMANT that I wouldn’t even rent screw driver from this store. Completely unprofessional, the rental equipment should have been in better condition than it was, and not a safety hazard.
If I could, I will give a zero star. I bought the stihl tools (almost $700) from this place. I found some cracks on one of the tool. I brought back to the soreThe services especially the manager ignored (not listen) my complains and yield at me. My tools should be still in warranty. This is the worst place you want to go to buy anything.
If you’ve been following my reviews you know the best place to do business is where people are involved and like working with customers.Robinsons Hardware is such a place.Needed a Honda Generator after an online order with a national company failed to arrive.Called Robinsons....someone pleasantly answered the phone and happily found Jeff who let me know how I could back order a generator or there was a similar generator in the store. Was in the store in about an hour. Needed to wait just a few minutes....Jeff showed me the generator and made sure I understood what accessories were needed for my situation. No pressure.Jeff then, in a matter of fact no nonsense manner, quickly setup the generator, added oil, and fuel, and explained how to start it.We then went to the parking lot and started the generator.Quickly loaded it into the car and was on my way.In and out fast!
Today I sent to buy a ladder at Robinsons. One of the associates, Christophe, assisted me and then offered to drop the ladder off at my home when I realized it wouldnt fit in my small SUV. He then used the ladder to change the battery of the garage fire alarm, almost 12 feet high. I tried to get him to take a small gratuity, given how much he had gone out of his way to help me, but he refused. I tried to insist, but he refused. Its associates like Christophe who make bring home the importance of supporting our locally-owned businesses, rather than the big-box stores. With so many bad things happening in the world lately, the kindness Christophe showed to me meant a lot.
Great local store with super helpful employees. Support this Framingham business instead of the big box stores down the road.
Excellent local hardware store family owned
I hate to admit it but I messed up my lawn mower (over filled the oil). Robinsons has a services center and they were AMAZING! The fact that the longer the oil sits in the engine overflowing can cause more damage if not address quickly - their urgency was on the same page as me. The service guy was great and friendly and I hate that I did not get his name. The price was reasonable and it really made me think why I go to a big box chain store when I can get great service in a smaller shop that has everything I need at similar prices.I highly recommend this hardware / service store.
These guys are amazing. Its like the opposite of the big box stores. They are super knowledgeable and willing to help with whatever you are looking for. Great job!!
Always a pleasure going there. Family owned with pleasant employees and awesome selection of your hardware needs.
Friendly and affordable
Get expert advice with tools..
This place has top of the line stuff, not just for home owners, but for pros to
This is a great local hardware store. You get personal attention and good advice. Rental selection is very good. If they dont have something theyre happy to order it.
They matched my deck stain perfectly.
I have had a really good experience with their Hudson branch. My Honda Lawn mower broke and I took it there under warranty. Steve took care of the whole repair process with Honda and got everything done under warranty all by himself. Got it repaired and ready pretty soon. I expected atleast 1-1.5 months but got it back within 2-3 weeks time. Very satisfied.I had got my mower online but its probably better to buy from local store like Robinsons as they will prep it for you ready to start with engine oil and all chcecks
Very helpful and had what I was looking for.
Everytime I go someones their to help with right answers to questions. Plumbing, lighting, tools. Very knowledgeable people. Always in and out quick and back to the job with the right parts.
This place is amazing. The largest selection of snow blowers I have seen in Mass by far. They were able to deliver my new Honda same day. The day before we got 8 and I needed it! I will be going to this store more often as they carry an amazing selection of hardware was well. They also have a huge selection of Honda mowers. This should be your stop way before any big box store.
I’d to share my experience, my stihl chainsaw doesn’t start, I met with Mr Joed, he diagnose the problem and fix it in 10 minutes, he is very professional and friendly, he gave me advice how to maintain it, thanks a lot Joed .
Great store. Im a repeat customer and always know when I ask for advice or information on a product I can feel confident with their expertise and experience. Great price on propane too. They also do repairs and rentals which is good to know!
Great place. Nice family atmosphere. Wish it were a little cleaner. But is a hardware store so I mean I dont really expect alot. If you any question about anything at all they will help you. Just an upstanding place.
Great service, friendly staff, awesome inventory
Staff couldnt be more helpful and kind about it! Tom Friedman, for one, is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to customers needs. Two days before Christmas, and I called to see if they carried a tiny, stick-on clock. The young woman spent almost 10 minutes researching. No luck, but the effort and courtesy was exemplary....and usually I can get what Im after!
I just purchased a new Honda Lawnmower. Jeff the store owner worked with me to make sure I picked out the right one. Lots of choices but he spent the time with me and was patient with my questions. I will probably shop there more since the service is excellent and all the people are friendly.
Great owner staff and stock!
Very friendly neighborhood hardware store. Their selection is amazing (so much stuff -- they have saved the day for me more than once!) Huge bonus is propane tank filling and small engine repair (snowblower, chainsaws, lawn mowers, etc). Pickup what you need for a Saturday project, and stop in next door at Lincoln Liquors for your post project celebratory craft brew.
Robinsons is the best example of what a service oriented store should be. I find them friendly, knowledgable, and a pleasure to interact with always.Every experience here is superlative!
I love Robinsons! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I always rely on their recommendations.
Robinson’s is the type of gem that makes this city’s heart beat. This place has everything (and if by some weird occurrence they don’t have it they will get it or tell you where to go!) it’s family owned and run, with knowledgeable, happy and helpful staff (ask for Matt or Joe!) There’s no pressure, no upselling. Just hardworking folks who go above and beyond for their customers. I can’t say enough. Shop local, shop small!
This store has redefined customer service. They truly have the interests of their customers in mind. A great experience every time I shop there.
I always enjoy coming to Robinsons where it still has a family feel atmosphere.
One of the most down to earth business owners Ive met in a long time. Support your local hardware stores!
Great local hardware store always has the thing you are looking for. The help is always friendly.
A locally owned shop with great service and prices, and a knowledgeable staff. A venerable reminder of t he way things used to be. You can find help reasonably fast. (Do remember that waiting a bit to speak with a knowledgeable hardware person is an old tradition. Knowledge is expensive so in this case, instantaneous service is not a prime criterion, real service is.) Unlike the mega hardware places, you do not have to buy an entire bag of screws to get the one that you want. This type of store deserves your support and in most cases is surprisingly competitive on price. They have items that the home depot does not carry, like calcium chloride melter (not a blend) in the middle of this record breaking blizzardy winter. Simply a great old fashioned real hardware store.
Poor service and selection
Super customer friendly. Worth coming here over the big box stores.
Rental product terrible, waste of time dont bother.
Robinsons in Framingham has EVERYTHING you need and the staff that go that extra mile. I appreciate their warmth and their expertise and how they use each other to get the necessary info or insights if they dont have it themselves. True gem of a place.
I have been to Robinsons Hardware Framingham on 4 different occasions, each time I received excellent service . They not only had exactly what I was looking for . But also took the time to explain the best way to use and maintain the items I purchased . A special thanks to Tom & Jeff . I am definitely a Satisfied Customer .
Its a nice store. Staff is nice.
Clean well organized and an excellent staff that is willing to help.
Staff could not be more helpful or knowledgeable.
Great hardware store with knowledgeable people.
Great customer service, helpful and always friendly. Great place !!!
Service always exceeds expectations along with convenience and product assortment. If they dont have IT just ask.
AMAZING service!!! Jake came to our house on a Sunday morning to pick up our Honda generator which wasnt working properly and he brought it back by the end of the day Sunday all fixed and ready to go. We have never had any outfit do that!! They have now become our hardware store of choice
Inventory good, repair department would benefit from factory training support.Robinsons has a fantastic nuts and bolts section and good general inventory. Often Robinsons will have something that Home Depot or Lowes does not have and often Lowes or Home Depot will have some thing that Robinsons doesnt have.Robinsons repair department is super nice and helpful. Ive had difficulty finding really expert repairs at other places and if the quality of the repairs at Robinsons could match the superior quality of the machines they sell, Id be in heaven. The Honda and Stihl brands that Robinsons sells are top quality, highly reputable and expensive brands that are designed and built to be highly serviceable. But they are very intricate machines that require factory training to repair properly. My problems happened both at Framingham and in Hudson. Ive had some good luck but also had some incorrectly done repairs, incorrect information and inadequate communication.I really like the people at Robinsons. Everyone there is knowledgeable, super nice and helpful, much more so than the big box places. Genuine home town folks that really care. I feel really lucky to have them nearby.
Great
Very helpful local place.
There is a tractor
Great product and service
Have not been there in over 2 years or more.
Best customer service!
They helped my with my problem and talked me out of buying something.
A store that covers extensive and endless supply of hardware and home repair and upkeep requirements besides being a major tool and equipment rental service.
