They did up my nails it looks JUST like the picture I highly recommend coming here

Ive been coming here over a year. I get the dip every month and it lasts me 3-4 weeks. The style choices are pretty simple but they try to accomadate when Im feeling creative. SAM IS THE ONE!

I went to this salon for the first time and was blown away at the quality of work they do, especially compared to every other salon in the area Ive tried (all were meh at best). Tina did such an amazing job fixing the crooked nails from the shoddy work another salon did, and she nailed it (pun intended) with the design! The price was less than I was charged at the salon that messed my nails up, and I just got a basic color there, whereas I got an intricate design at Blizz. My sister came with me and got the deluxe pedicure as well, and she loved it too! I dont know the name of the gentleman that did her nails, but him and all the other employees were extremely friendly and welcoming. I will 100% be coming back from now on!

1 star because the owner and manager were very unprofessional and rude when I voiced my frustration at the end of my service. I made an appointment and was not seen until a hour past. I would have understood if I needed to come back another day since they were busy but they did not mention any of this sort on the phone. The owner made a scene and stomped away and blamed the pandemic for my wait. I understand most businesses are short staffed but there were 10 people that I saw working this night. Again, an appointment shouldn’t have Been taken if they didn’t have time or capacity. The manager was also really rude and told me it was okay if I didn’t come back and walked away. I was in shock that both the owner and manager would yell at a customer who trying to voice a concern politely. They kept shouting that everyone waits 1-1.5 hours. THIS IS NOT NORMAL. No one should be waiting a hour past their appointment time, what is the point of making an appointment ahead of time then. I will not be going back. Very disappointed.

I had an awesome first experience here. I had a fill and polish change done on my toes. I get my nails done in a stiletto shape. Some people have a harder time getting the shape down but Tim did a bomb job! He was very nice, attentive to detail, making sure I liked everything. The salon looks nice and is clean, prices were very reasonable. Ill definitely be back, thank you Tim!

I called and made an appointment for Saturday I went in to get a fill and the Older gentleman Had told me that some of my nails are lifting so that he recommended a full set. I said okay, and he began to take off my nails, but he DID NOT soak them. Instead he cut them and then jabbed his nails between the acrylic and my own nail. It hurt. After He finished violently and painfully pulling off my acrylics that i only had on for 6 days, he began using the drill to smooth my real nails, because he had pulled the new acrylic nails off so harshly i could FEEL EVERYTHING under my real nail.I have been getting my nails done for years and i never had a tech pull off acrylics without a soak. My nails were left so thin that the drill burned my nails. He also gave me multiple nicks on the sides of my fingers with the drill. Then just to top it all off i had to go in the very next morning because my top coat had peeled off on 4 of my nails. After arguing with multiple people about fixing my nails, i asked to speak to the manager. She fixed my nails in less then 10 minutes while the original nail tech stood there doing nothing. I will not be going bavk. My real nails were damaged and so was my skin, and then to have to argue with everyone about fixing them in a timely fashion was a real turn off.

I have tried every nail salon in the surrounding area since moving here and finally found one that I LOVE. They do a great job and are very professional and nice. I get my nails done regularly and have been going here for over a year now. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone. Im so happy I found them! Highly Recommend.

Just love this place! Professional, clean and they do a great job. I see Vany every 2 -3 weeks. My nails have never looked so good. Tony and Tina are fantastic at keeping ALL the appointments in line.

Service here is hit or miss, myasthenia visit I had a gentleman or should I say a ungentleman for my mani pedi. He was very rough, cut my toe and it was bleeding and then judged me bc I didnt want to do a bright color on my hands. I hate that I spent 70 dollars including tip and had experience that was anything but relaxing.

Vany did my nails yesterday and I LOVE them! I got the dip powder manicure (which sometimes can be a little too fake and thick for me), but she made my nails look so natural and pretty even with the dip powder!! Great service overall! I wont get my nails done anywhere else. A 100% recommended. Vany is the BEST!

I went here to get my nails done and tell me why not even i day nail my acrylic NO CHIP was PEELING!! and then 3 days later my nail completely breaks off. $60 wasted.

This is my go-to nail salon! I have been going here since I moved from California. I was having a really hard time finding an affordable but reputable nail salon. My photo is after a week of having the ombre done on my nails so they were a bit grown out but I absolutely love BLIZZ. I live just a few minutes away, their technicians are always so friendly and know exactly what they are doing. I have my favorites but I never am stressed when I forget to make an appointment because all of the Blizz techs are professionals! Would recommend this salon to anyone looking for a great experience. They also have eyebrow waxing and full pedicures too. You can choose from an array of different kinds of pedicures based on your own preferences and foot care!

I really enjoy coming to Blizz Nails! The staff is very friendly and make sure your visit is nice and comfortable. Even on their busiest days they are friendly, attentive and do an excellent job. I wish their business would have a website or a more developed Facebook page that included pictures and names of the staff and a bit of backstory as well!

Pretty nice and clean atmosphere. Ive had Tim do my nails and another young guy and they were both very sweet and made sure i was happy with my nails. Also, the music is poppin! I recommend :)

My husband and I wanted to treat ourselves to a “almost” post-Pandemic Pedicure. We each got the OPI pedicure as a treat. Unfortunately, while the products used were great we were both disappointed in the length of the massages given. I also did not have the calluses on my heels sufficiently taken care of. Sadly, I think we will have to explore some more to find a regular spot for our pedi-treats.

Went in on at a busy time but we were still able to be waited on. The nail technician that worked on my nails did a fabulous job name Tina. they always use liners when they do pedicures that is awesome. They had such a wide variety of colors and dip colors. The establishment had a beautiful setup and looked very well clean.

Went today for a pedicure. Was rushed to pick a color . I picked 7 different colors and they did not have ANY of them. So I asked how much for no color. Still the same price. So I told them never mind and had to tell the man multiple times I no longer wanted the pedi and to stop. My feet had been soaking for about 3-5 minutes and he pushed my cuticles back on one foot and before he could get to the other I managed to pull my feet away. And tell him no. I do not want this pedicure then if you don’t have the colors I’m looking for I’ll go elsewhere. I went to go make sure I didn’t owe anything and was told to pay pull price! FOR AN INCOMPLETE PEDICURE ! I also tipped the man 10$ because I felt rude . And I’m sure the situation made him uncomfortable. I will not pay for inadequate service and I will not return. I am a nail tech myself and this was horrible service. I wanted to treat myself . Huge disappointment

I love this place! Very clean, friendly, and they give good massages with the pedicures. I had Vany do my mani and pedi, she is very sweet and friendly. Listened to what I wanted and I have had my mani and pedi for over a week and they still look amazing. This will be my new spot for getting my nails done. She also did my eyebrows and I was also very pleased with how they looked. 10/10 recommend :)

Jenna is the best! She takes her time to shape beautiful nails! I came to this salon from Foxxy Nail Spa and I am so glad I did! My nail tech of over 10 years moved away and I have been struggling to find someone who does quality work but Jenna quickly filled that void.Also! They are VERY clean here.. extra precautions with COVID as well and I just feel the environment here overall is just wonderful.

Had multiple fabulous experiences here! Highly recommend their dip manicurist. Hes a lovely young man (I feel old typing that...) who is working his way through school. His skill with dip powders is wonderful; he can create custom colors and ombre! The quality and the price point cant be beat!

I came to get an acrylic full-set for my first time amd right away i was greeted with smiles and all welcome-ness, every was very nice and helpful, it was a very clean, really nice business inside! They even have awesome massage chairs, i highly recommend you wont leave dissapointed.

I was very upset with how the lady did my eyebrows. I had grew them out through the whole quarantine just for her to keep plucking and waxing uncontrollably and made one bigger then the other one. I was very upset after I left here and definitely don’t recommend to get your eyebrows done here.

I never thought I would find a nail salon that was as good as my previous place. Blizz is great! Tony and Tina are my favorites, although the rest of the staff appears to do a great job, also! Reasonable on cost, and very creative - very artistic if you would like them to be! Very clean and quiet salon - that goes above and beyond to ensure the customer is happy!

It’s a hit or a miss with this place. The past few times I’ve been here, my nails have been extremely bumpy and uneven. I now live in Chicago and the nail salons here are amazing!

I love the friendly staff and the professional service I receive at Blizz. I left the salon briefly (for the last 2-1/2months) to go to a salon closer to my home (I live about 40 mins from Blizz). Big mistake! I’m back at Blizz to correct issues the other salon created. It feels as if I’ve come home again. They do an exceptional job here and are very knowledgeable in their trade. It pays to patronize the best. I highly recommend them!

When you first walk in the place is clean and beautiful. I did not like the person I got he, was very quiet and didnt talk which made it very awkward. But nails... I got my nails done with my two other friends and they turned out great. But my acrylics, are uneven some are thick some are thin, some have bumps and others dont. But on my right thumb theres a bubble, you can move it around under the nail. I want it out but i dont want to ruin my nails. Not the best experience but Im willing to give the place a second chance because my other friends nails were beautiful. :/

Always a great experience here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the facility is very clean. Its always reassuring to see the tools being used are being removed from a sealed package.

I just stopped biting my nails about a year ago and I got my first set of gel nails, I was so anxious, but they were great and made me feel comfortable. They did a great job and were nice! I would highly recommend blizz to anyone and I will definitely be going back.

Best nail place hands down

My manicure was great and liked her but I was extremely upset that both of the men working there did not wear masks ....that is extremely disconcerting and disrespectful to all of us

Rudest experience I ever had. I was a first time customer just moved to the area and brought my mom with. Within 2 days one nail broke and 2 days later 2 more broke. All broke during normal activity pulling my pants up, entering garage code and itching my ear. The male tech Tony argued that I did something then proceeded to be rough and abrupt while fixing. I have had nails for 5 years and never have lost 3 nails let alone this fast. my mom and I are a package deal we go together every two weeks both of us will not return. I was willing to try again after broken nails but not after the rude service I experienced trying to get my nails fixed. I didn’t want to come back twice within a few days of each other either let alone be treated horribly when I do. They know how to make a bad situation worse.

Excellent experience! Both the the gentleman that worked with me today were fantastic. They pampered me, paid attention to detail, didnt force conversation. Incredibly relaxing with a calm atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Thankfully I found Blizz when my sister in law booked us appointments for her wedding. I’ve been going ever since! Got a Full Set and it was awful!! It hurt in the process which never happens to me....I had 3 different people which was ridiculous...I had a French Tip Full Set and they would not listen to what I was asking....Any other place I went to it was $35 they charged me $50 which is Ridiculous!!!! I dont mind trying new places but I will forever go to G NAILS!!! ❤I only went here because I was told it was a great new place to try but unfortunately it was not ...

Blizz Nail Spa is a top notch salon. I have been a customer of Blizz since they opened in Fox Lake. Tina and the rest of the staff are absolutely fantastic. Everyone is very skilled and professional. I get a no chip manicure which lasts 3 weeks! Keep up the outstanding customer service!

I never go here and I just happened to go here today because the place I originally go to (il nail) was closed so I decided to venture out and go to a different place and I totally wish I never did go here. A young man did my no chip fill and I didnt want to hurt his feelings by being so critical I am not I mean person,I could tell he was new at doing nails but yeah all my nails are crooked he had to redo my thumb nail cuz I broke it so he did the whole nail and my nails just look bad I will never go to this place again I walk in there with needing a no chip fill and they send you to a person who doesnt know how to do nails and makes no sense to me. Not even a warning like okay hes learning you know. so now Im going to have to go back to my place and tell them that I was a traitor for a day and I totally regret it I will never go somewhere else again.

I dont do many reviews but felt compelled. I have not had a good experience with any Fox Lake nail salons and there are quite a few (fungus, bleeding cuticles, etc.). I decided Id give the new place a try. At first I was hesitant because most of the Techs are male and I have never had a good experience with a male tech. I was greeted at the door by a very polite man and decided to give it a try. The male doing my pedicure was great and painted my nails beautifully. The male that greeted me was the one that did my nails. He was very patient helping me decide what gel nail color/type I wanted and he did a wonderful job with application. I would definitely return.

This was the most disappointing manicure experience I’ve had. My mom and I had appointments together and we were sat on opposite sides of the salon-not exactly a good setup for a mother-daughter evening out. We both got no-chip manicures, as we have done many times in the past. She said her manicurist was OK, but the top coat wasn’t applied completely evenly. My nails are absolutely horrible-the day after, I already have a chip. My nails are filed unevenly, and look like I unsuccessfully tried to do them at home. There is a “glob” of top coat on my right thumb that is extremely noticeable. Five of my fingers were bleeding after the cuticles were removed and are still sore. My manicurist did not speak English and got the color for my ring fingers wrong, even after multiple attempts to point at the correct number on the bottle. I will absolutely NOT be coming back and feel that I need to go somewhere else to remedy the terrible job done, costing me more money.

Ive been here for a no-chip manicure twice, once in January 2017 and then I had an appointment today. They have a nice selection of no-chip polish and my first manicure turned out just fine. I have two issues with this salon. The first is that the fumes are absolutely terrible. This salon needs to look into better ventilation for the safety of its workers. I tried to go again today in case they had resolved the issue. They hadnt. I made a 3:00 appointment, signed in at 2:52, was directed to select my polish and then sit at station 11. They then started giving manicures to three women who came in after me, and I waited until 3:17. The fumes were awful and they made no indication of why I had to wait while they began on others, so I left. I wont be back again.

Everyone there is very warm and friendly. They do excellent work, and they remember your name! Now thats amazing for a nail salon who sees so many people.

OH MY GOODNESS IM IN LOVE, so I made an apt for my friends birthday for the two of us, a few days before I called and spoke with Tina, the owner, I explained to her that I’m looking for a new nail tech because the last place I went to started to slack. This is gonna be a long review lolWhen we walked in the first thing I noticed was the beauty, cleanliness, and not very pungent smell that salons normally have. We then were greeted by a very friendly worker, asked if I was kailee and made sure that it was me who wanted a female nail tech, and everything I asked for. They took us to the pedicure station and we’re sure to seat us next to each other, handed us absolutely adorable “menus” of their pedicure services and gave the most incredible, relaxing, unpainful pedicure. They were very certain to make sure nothing was too hot, too rough, things of the sort.We then were seated next to each other again for our acrylics. I originally wanted a full new set bc I was so upset with what the other nail salon did, but Tina assured me she could fix their mistake and not have to charge me for a full new set. She was incredible in making sure that I was happy with each step of the way, even spent about 20 mins thinning out the absolute bulbous nails the other salon gave me. How kind, she knew it’d be easier to give a new set, but instead of me wasting money, she spent time on it. I’m so beyond happy with this spa and most definitely can not wait to go back. Thank you so much Tina for making me feel welcome and working hard on making my nails beautiful! :)

If youre looking for a place to get ripped off this is it... Ive been to Blizz twice within the last year and have had a bad experience each time. First... back in May, I went there for my Pre-Wedding pampering with my bridal party. Remind you.. ring photos are important on a wedding day, well I have uneven and crooked nails in all of my photos and I paid an outrageous amount for the services even with their group discount! Thank GOD my nails werent a focus in the pictures! Then today... I asked for an ACRYLIC full-set with a no-chip polish... I saw the guy pull out gel powder vs the acrylic, I said I want acrylic nail please, he said there wasnt a price difference... $50 LATER!!!!!!!! Even their brochure says acrylic full-sets are $27... I assume a typical up-charge for no chip color is $10... seems to be the common price at most places... the gel full-sets are $40... HOW ARE YOU GOING TO TELL ME THERES NO PRICE DIFFERENCE WHEN CLEARLY YOUR BROCHURE SAYS OTHERWISE! NEVER EVER AGAIN! NOT TO MENTION, LEAVE POLISH ON MY CUTICLES AND THE DRIED POWDER ALL OVER MY SKIN AND SAY HAVE A NICE DAY? I thought Id give this place a second chance because my mom raves about it but nope! Never again.

Waste of time and money. Spent two hours to get a pedi and full set. I waited 30 mins before anyone noticed that I came in. My pedicure was very messy. The lady assured me my nails were dry. I got home and two of my toe nails are messed up. I got a dipped full set; they came out chunky. I had to ask to have my under nails cleaned out. Each finger has nail polish on them.
