I was like a kid in a candy store, really only went in for one item but you know how that goes.. however I was directed to the aisles correctly got answers to all my technical questions and found some techie items been meaning to get at an amazingly good price! Also, this location met my standards being all fancy and all. Highly recommended! Now go splurge.
You should come here even if you just have to buy a pen. I love this place! They have so much stuff! Its like Target-but a whole nother level! The staff was super-friendly and there are so many AMAZING tech things to check out - plus theres school supplies and office supplies and snacks and office furniture....AND THE DECOR! I geeked out when I realized there was this Roman theme going on.
So Im having the most bizzare experience right now. There are literally no associates in the store except for the exit door check lady who seems not to know anything. So their already bad customer service got even worse- didnt know that was possible, but congratulations Frys - you did it. Additionally, they dont have quite a few components one would expect them to have. Just got informed that they will not have much until February.
Curb side pick up with a great attitude. Very pleasant employee encounter. Thank You for your excellent service!
Pretty clear that this store will be closing someday soon. The shelves are empty, theres never any customers shopping, and there are even complete aisles with no product whatsoever. Its a ghost town. The checkout line is a perfect example: 30 registers from the hey day of Frys and only one open. Theres an entire aisle of $5 knockoff fragrances. Its spooky. On the positive, its one of the few places you can actually try a gaming chair. I bought this one.
I miss the good ol Frys day. The store is quite empty now. Lost most of their brand name accounts. Off brand electronics now.
Presumably due to online ordering Frys is not what it once was. Much of the old inventory is gone. 20 or 30 cars in a 600 or 800 space lot on a Saturday afternoon. Cheerful treatment by the limited staff.
Has a diverse collection of computer, communication, TV, and components not found elsewhere. Appliances are no longer found in the same wide variety of 4-5 years past. Store appeared empty, few cashiers, still short wait. This store has always had the most responsive and helpful staff of any of the 5 stores visited over the past 25 years. This as all other locations does not have in store wifi. Inexcusable for an electronic outlet. On line presence can only be described as dismal. Do not even try unless you are bored and prepared to expend and waste two or more hours. Inconsistent rules for in store, shipping, and local delivery coupled with default San Jose location popping up mid order informing you product is no longer available makes the experience a nightmare. It gets worse...
Of course its empty of customers ! Its probably payback from all the customers that Frys has ripped off ... including myself !I paid for 2 dashboard cameras that were going to be shipped to the store which I never received and the other was for a touch-screen laptop that they wouldnt honor the extended warranty for after I had issues with it ! I would go to Frys even if they were giving away theirdefective open box products!!!Best Buy matches their prices and youd probably be better off with their products, warranties, and services !!!
This place is a shell of what it use to be. Im surprised its still in business Tobe honest. Not sure what happened, but if you go to microcenter near by, they actually have stock and staff. I miss the old frys!
Great product selection for pretty much anything your looking for when it comes to electronics and similar items. They also have now started offering price match guarantees for all products and you can use Amazon for the price match as well. You also have 30 days to return your purchases which is great.
Great staff but I did not see any name brands for electronics like they once had.
This used to be a good go-to spot for electronic components and other geek gear for me however today was a huge let down. I am really glad one of the people in the store recommended Marvac electronics because they had everything. Sorry to say I wont be returning to frys again.
Good bye Frys. And thank for all the years of service. From the days of CompUsa...
This place rocks !!! They have electronic parts as well. Not as good as 1992 but the place still continues to be my favorite spot for computer/electronics etc etc. Staff is always cheerful and helpful. Im glad Frys is still here !
Place used to be great, my dad got me a smart tv (still have and works great), last time i came here it was empty its failing this place was nice due to the prices on video games but know the whole store is like a ghost town what happened?!
I usually go to the one in Anaheim but found out it was closed. This is the go-to place for electronic needs and more. Their selection is 2nd to none. They also offer price match so you really can not best it if there is one near you. Knowledge of sales people are also good.
Not a lot of selections. Most items are non name brand. Very few displays. One person per department. And the PC department manager (his picture and name is on the desk or cashier box) was very little to no help. I asked him if they had a part. He lazily walks to the section, says Dont have it and walks away. Never offered any other assistance. Bad service. Everyone ignores you.
Good selection, but almost deserted. The Frys closer to home closed, so I hope the one in Fountain Valley survives.
Want this place to succeed but its ghost town. Its an electronics store that had no computers for sale. 1/2 the shelves were empty too. Used to love this store, hope they can turn it around
Not a bad place for McDonalds pretty clean and they always get your food RIGHT and on time and most of the time Im here on work hours especially for lunch never had any issues so far!!! I think because its in a business area most the time its busy Monday through Friday but on weekends I assume its probably not as hectic because of all the business buildings in the area!
Its sad to walk around and see what Frys has become. They moved to consignment inventory now, so they dont choose the brands so much as the brands choose them. The pricing reflects that. I actually went to Microcenter after and had to spend 30 minutes in line, but at least they had everything.
Store looks likes its going out of business and to find a emplyee to help you. Good luck
Geez.... I can’t believe it’s still open. Scarce shelves, distant employees, still overpriced, and very dirty.
Ive been coming to Frys for as long as I can remember. it seems like theyre going out of business but, they keep saying that theyre not. The only thing that I have negative to say is that some of the prices for how little selections left are laughable having to pay above what seems reasonable or even retail on a place thats dwindling in available merchandise but only seem to accelerate its demise.Other than that Ive always liked the storm it was my go-to store after RadioShack folded and Federated before them. But now Im just dating myself
Good store, but sometimes dont have basic stuffs like 30 pin cable for old apples..sad
I found my Bluetooth microphone headset for my Samsung S9 so I can zoom on my phone at work. Yay! Also found K95 masks, sanitizer and wipes. It was a pleasant surprise. Picked some up.
Place is lindo of dead but.cuwtomer.service was good. Note, unlike Bbuy and other places, if you order online and pick up in store, Frys still makes you go through normal cashier lines, they do not have a different counter.
Im sure its been said before but this electronic store is by far the biggest most comprehensive incredible store to go visit let alone buy something in. The employees are all very knowledgeable they have a lot of items that you can test on the floor the atmosphere is infectious and it was one of the coolest things I did while I was in California
What happened to Frys? Rows of empty shelves or shelves filled with the same product. In store prices way above their own online prices. How the mighty have fallen.
Place was empty, staff was somewhat helpful. They didnt have what i wanted. I asked if they sold computers he said yes but they didnt have any in stock.
They have great prices on most items.
Always find what I went to buy. Quick and easy check out
Its Frys - big selection, good prices, knowledgeable staff.
Its a good store.. I like the prices.!
Not 5 stars due to lots of empty shelves, not sure why they were. Loved the ancient roman theme of the interior, complete with some tables held up with faux stone lion statues, and the aqueduct fountain in the middle of the store. Kinda kewl.
It just feels so cheap now. No motherboards on display, just little pictures. No mainstream brand (Razer, Logitech, etc) PC Gaming accessories. The console gaming section is basically dead. They have an entire isle full of bottled drinks though, if youre into that. Theres also lots of electronic hobby stuff still there. So the store basically feels like RadioShack + As Seen On TV. Sad. Used to love going here to check out all the stuff, and would literally spend an hour or two at a time. Now its all junk.
Very disappointed in the store. The customer service was terrible on nobody came up to me asked me if I needed help I had to go and asked three different people where something was and each time the The place where my product was supposed to be at it wasn’t there not one time did they look it up on their handheld and when I went to the back by the computers are the customer service man was at week 10 to 12 minutes but he finishes personal story he didn’t even have his mask covering his face or his mouth he looked at me like I was bothering him at the beginning I asked a man for a store directory who is standing at the door to greet you when you came in he didn’t even greet us he just kind of like look at us as we walk through when I asked him for the directory he ignored me and then he look like I was bothering him in the stores for the stock all I was looking for was a small cordless mouse and nobody can tell me where it was or a Bluetooth headset the store was a big waste of
Just came to Frys in Fountain Valley last Saturday and to my great surprise, it was like a death town, only few customers at the store. So sad for them, how can they survive
Frys is a shadow of its former self. No more laptops. No more computer memory. Its just cheap low-quality Chinese made electronic junk. It does sell gloves, masks, sanitizer and face shields now - all imported or manufactured in China. I hope things change soon. It used to be the one electronics store to go to, with special deals and full parking lots. Now its practically dead with hardly any customers. Please, Frys, get serious.
Store was pretty empty, but salesperson walked by and was super helpful!
Good service but shelves very bare! Most of the more common items were there and in good supply. Fast checkout!
VacantMore employees than customersGreat time to stop.Just a little difficult to get assistance
This is geek heaven. best buy employees of Geek Squad are no match for this companys employee experience, knowledge, customer service and hospitality. They loaded larger items into my car and offered me water bottles when leaving.
I loved Frys! Sorry to see it go.....
I wish I could have seen this location in the glory days of electronics stores. Amazing decor but half the shelves seemed empty. Still better than Best Buy for getting actual cables and components, though.
Dead as a door nail, no inventory, looks like there closing down. No one to help you either. Sad.
I have a feeling they are going to close down all Frys electronics. I visited this store a few weeks ago and wow nothing is stocked they didnt have much gaming headsets and web camera to upgrade my stream setup. I was very disappointed and a result i had to find one on amazon. Hopefully they are able to stock back up again very soon :(They have been my go-to anything tech parts related and hate to see this business close for good
This store needs help! Huge space but their Inventory is useless other than having a bunch of obsolete cables
It was very clean and organized, but many of the shelves seemed pretty empty, especially the laptop section which was the whole reason for my visit. Not sure if it was due to not having any more inventory after Black Friday/Cyber Monday, but this is not what I expected at Frys. Will update if it is more stocked on a future visit, though not sure I will bother returning if this is the state of the store nowadays.
Now that people seem to be shopping online more, Frys can feel a little like a ghost town at times. However, what this means for you is you can pick up whatever you need much faster without having to wait in line or hunting down an employee to ask questions.Their selection of products is still wide and they carry most mainstream electronics. Their parking lot is huge as well so finding parking is never difficult. I would definitely recommend checking out Frys the next time you need to pick up a few gadgets and dont want to wait for or pay for online shipping.
Love this place a lots of selection and easy return policy.
I bought a 40 inch TV for a good price. Only bad part for the Fountain Valley store was almost impossible to get help. They had barren shelves for Printer Toners. They did not have the one I needed, a Samsung. I bought the Printer at the Anaheim store.
Im very impressed and thankful to Audio/Video Department Manager of Fountain Valley store, Mustafa, when he goes extra miles to help me complete my online order despite of some initial issue with the bank that caused order got canceled. Then the product cant be reordered online for shipping. Definitely come back whenever I need something.
Oh man, what happened? This used to be my favorite electronic store. Now theres hardly anything I need, the shelves got smaller, less selection, alot of the items are returned or factory refurbished.
I went to Frys Electronics to pick up a power adapter upon entering the store I asked the lady where they were he told me in the back of 10 my fish went to the repair counter is that a question on a part I needed one technician was working on a computer never bothered to look up the second one look at me and continued to do what he was doing never told me just a minute can I help you or anything I waited a little longer in my mind I thought this is ridiculous theres about six cars in the parking lot so you know there was not a lot of customers there I proceeded to aisle 10 there were no adapters there I look around a little bit and in other aisles could not locate them customer service was missing that day so I left with nothing but disappointment😞
What happened to this place. It was empty. Nothing on the shelves. They say they are not filing bankruptcy. Looks like a duck. Quacks like a duck. Its a Duck...
Just has alotta small & big electronic necessities at a decent price that u cant find at any other physical retailer anywhere else. It was perty strange to find the parking lot was almost empty. And only one cashier open. Used to it being packed with people. Still glad they were open. overNout
I dont dislike Frys its just that for the last 4 or 5 months its like walking into a mausoleum, the isles are almost completely empty of store content and none of it is on sale, I honestlythought they were going out of business...none of the employees would say but I found out its about their buying and selling through their vendors...and this is all of their stores not just one..Really Strange, I ended up going to BestBuy for the items I needed. Sure hope they get it together soon theyve had to have lost Millions in Sales alone,tv
A great place to go for your electronic needs
Its not so much dislike as shock compared to what it use to be like. The shelves are mostly barren or stocked with the same accessory item exclusively. I saw no computers or motherboards on display. Few other computer accessories. Mostly cables, keyboards, cases, small diy electronic parts, batteries and a few other audio and video accessories. It actually looks as though they might close their doors any day now.
This place is like a zombie, not completely dead but it sure isnt a place I would want to go to; shame since it played such a memorable role in my childhood. The downward spiral became increasingly noticeable since 2017. The employees dont care, there are no semblance of organization when it comes to the items that are on sale (whatever is left anyways), and the prices arent competitive for the corpse-like state the store is in anyways. Seeing the parking lot, it feels more cemetery than anything... Save your money for Best Buy, Microcenter and Amazon.
Rarely helpful. Employees lack basic social skills and the ability to look you in the eyes. The majority of them have basic product knowledge which is one positive for a negative review. Stocking of Inventory is always random and happenstance on the shelves seemingly hit & miss. So many employees and never anyone walking down the aisle to help... Why? The overall workplace environment and management needs an overhaul.
Im giving this location 4 stars, overall, is because of what it is now. I was there, maybe a month ago, or a little more, and the shelves were pretty barren. It felt, honestly, like they were having a going out of business sale, but no one mentioned anything about and there was no signage. After doing some research, most other locations are looking this thinly stocked, as well. When they were stocked, though, prices were great and customer service was always solid. I love this store and I wish online retailers didnt kill it, but times are changing. I would definitely recommend checking this place out, before it goes away, if you can.
Frys is pretty awesome. The scale of their stores is pretty impressive to me and I love the different themes. I buy a lot of my electronic and computer stuff there. They do price matching for the same merchandise online so you can get the same deal today as youd get from Amazon in two days or more. The only thing I dont like, the reason I gave four stars, is some stuff is either hard to find or unavailable. So then I have to find an associate and wouldnt you know when you need them they are busy but when youre just browsing through their incredible selection of stuffs there is always an associate who wants to help and knows nothing about whatever I happen to bring up. All in all though id highly recommend,.
Looked everywhere for an air conditioner.Everyone was sold out. Found one at Frys! They have Fans too!
Its nice to walk a store and finding products you hadnt thought of
Great place to find computer part and games
Theyve moved things around, but always great selection of items and can find more online!
This place has changed a lot. The merchandise is sparse with a lot of empty shelves and areas. In looking on line it appears they are in the middle of changing their business model. If you need something specific it might be good to call ahead to see if they have it instead of wasting time driving there.
I love, love Frys. Really missed it while we were living in Portugal. Frys Electronics is suffering from the current Covid-19 effects like most retailers. The shelves have been lowered, but worst of all, there is little merchandise for sale. I went in looking for an inexpensive video card for a Windows computer and found about seven cards total, all of which were marked as being unreturnable no matter the reason. They did have the memory kit that I was looking for (yay). I will be back!
They are limited on items but have allot random items that you would not see at Best Buy. Fantastic customer service. Everything is clean and organized. Parking is simple. They price match.
This feels more empty vs. The now-closed Anaheim location, lots of empty spots, and not much going on.I probably would recommend the city of industry location, at least that one has people visiting it.
A Greek themed Frys?! Complete with fountain? And lion bolstered tables?! Super interesting atmosphere that keeps you wandering through the store. Mostly everything you need, mostly. Inventory for some common things like solder was very low, hence the 4 star instead of 5.Staff was helpful though and tried their best to find what we needed.
Great prices, note: must wear mask inside store
Terrible customer service from their associates. They are seemingly trying to repel with there answers to questions so they dont have to work. They prefer to stand there and talk to there co-workers.
